Author's Note: Hey guys this is my first time writing a fan fiction. I have been having this idea for a while now and I thought I would give it a try. This is a Percy/Hermione story. I was interested in this pairing but I couldn't find much stories on them. Please review and tell me what you think and anything I could improve on.

Percy

"Percy, are you awake?" I could barely hear the voice coming from outside my cabin.

I slowly got out of bed and rubbed my eyes to clear my blurry vision.

"I'm coming," I stated tiredly.

As I opened the door I was blinded by the sunlight pouring into my dark cabin. Stood before me was my good and long time friend Will Solace.

"What's up Will?" Flashing a smile, "You look like you woke up. I was just letting you know that Chiron wanted to see you."

"I did and thanks I'll be at the Big House in 15 minutes." Will nods and leaves.

I watched him run off and I thought about how thankful I was for that guy, he watched over Nico to make sure he was better when I asked him to.

Nico was like a little brother to me and I was worried about him dying. I had lost enough people from these wars already.

I was happy though, because of Will, Nico has been coming out of his cold exterior and has made a lot of friends.

I close the door and change out of my sweats into a pair of jeans and slip on an orange Camp Half Blood shirt.

I exit the dark cabin and jog my way over to the Big House.

While mid jog, I thought about all that has happened recently.

It has been two weeks since the Leo sacrificed himself to destroy Gaea, man I miss that guy. He had always known how to put a smile onto people's face.

Everything else was great around Camp Half Blood and Camp Jupiter. The two camps have been working together with demigods going between the two camps. The rivalry already being forgotten as this was a new era for demigods.

Many kids from Hephaestus' Cabin was at New Rome helping rebuild it and teaching their Vulcan counterparts some useful tips.

Jason had let Frank continue being Praetor along with Reyna. I guess he wanted to be able to spend more time with Piper. Frank and Hazel were happy and were being treated with more respect as well as the Fifth Cohort.

I pass by some campers waving and greeting them.

I finally get to my destination I remembered the first time I saw it. It's like I was standing here for the first time again, when I was twelve years old.

As I was reminiscing, I was interrupted by my old mentor.

"Come my boy, we have much to discuss." I followed him inside wondering what he wanted to talk to me about.

Hopefully it wasn't anything to serious. Only if I had I known I would be completely wrong.

"So what did you need Chiron?"

"Percy, you should sit, I'm afraid you'll be here for a while."

Listening to his advice, I took a seat across from him. I noticed a brief look of regret appear in his eyes but they quickly disappeared as they came.

"Listen Percy, I need you to complete a quest for me."

"Can't you get some other camper to do it for you? I don't think you really need me to do it."

"I would have Percy, but you are the only one who is capable of completing such a quest. I want you to listen carefully.

I nodded my head agreeing to his terms.

"What do you know about wizards and witches Percy?" I looked at him wondering what he could be getting at here.

"Nothing really, just that they are fake. Something made up as a story."

This causes Chiron to chuckle. "Well isn't that what you thought about Greek Mythology?"

Connecting the pieces together, "Wait, you mean they're real?"

"Indeed my boy. They are very much alive just like demigods."

"Ok, what does this have to do with the quest?" I was really curious at this moment. Would I get to meet some wizards and witches? That would be totally freaking cool.

"I need you to go to Scotland and protect a boy named Harry Potter in a school called Hogwarts. My friend Albus Dumbleore is the headmaster there and has asked me to send the most capable person that can protect Harry."

"Who's this Harry guy? What makes him so special that he would need my protection? And Scotland, Chiron? That is across the world, I'm not sure Annabeth would appreciate that."

"I'm sure that she can be reasoned with. As for Harry, a very powerful dark wizard by the name of Voldemort is trying to kill him because he is the only one who can stop him. The Dark Lord Voldemort and his followers, Death Eaters are going to wage war on all wizards that do not support him."

"It sounds pretty serious. I would love to help anybody in need, but I'm not so sure Annabeth will want me to be gone again. Are you sure only I can go?"

"Yes, Dumbledore can only allow one 'transfer' student to come, otherwise it would cause too much suspicion."

"Alright, I'll think about it."

I got up and left to find Annabeth. I quickly glanced at the clock before leaving and noticed we were talking for two hours.

I decided to check out the Athena cabin first, her siblings would probably know where she was.

I knocked on the door and waited.

The door swung open to reveal Annabeth's half brother, Malcolm.

"Hey Malcolm, have you seen Annabeth?"

"Yea, she is working on some stuff, but I can go get her."

"I'd appreciate that thanks."

I was left standing outside awkwardly waiting for Malcolm to get Annabeth.

"Hey Seaweed Brain, whats up?"

"Hey, Wise Girl. Can I talk to you privately? Its important."

"Ok, let me tell them I'll be gone for a bit."

She left, but quickly returned. We walked in silence towards the beach. I looked at here tried to figure out a way to explain this to her. She looked a little distant, I wonder what she was thinking about.

Once we got to the beach, we sat down with her leaning on my shoulder.

"So, what did you want to talk about Percy?"

"Right, about that…" I trailed off not sure how to start.

She sat up straight and looked at me with those calculating grey eyes I fell in love with. "What is it Percy?"

"Well-" I explained everything to her and she didn't say one word.

"Annabeth, please tell me what you're thinking." I pleaded.

"Percy, I just got you back! You can't leave me again!" Tears started to pour out of her eyes.

"Annabeth, listen to me. I need to help these people or else they will die. I can't just let innocent people die when I can do something about it."

"Percy, i-i-if you leave, I don't know if this could work anymore." She said her voice croaking.

"Wise Girl, what are you talking about? What do you mean you don't know if this could work?"

Tears started to stream out of her eyes. "P-P-Percy listen to me. You know how when I was younger and I had a crush on Luke? Well I realized I never stopped loving him even when he became mad with revenge on the gods, I still loved him… When you killed him, a part of me died."

"W-What do you mean? Stop talking about this nonsense Annabeth. If this is some kind of joke…" I was starting to get seriously worried now.

Her tears started to come out more fiercely, "I wish I was joking Percy, but I'm not! When you killed him I was devastated. I needed emotional support and you were there. I got close to you thinking you would help me. I was using you Percy, to help me feel better. Someone that cared for me. After Hera abducted you, I was at complete lose. I was all alone, no one to help me. You were gone for eight months and I didn't know what to do!"

She started choking on her own sobs, while I just stared at her in utter silence and shock.

"If you leave Percy, I don't know how I will deal with being alone. I will need someone there for me…."

The world around me just completely stopped and my heart felt like it was broken into billions of pieces.

"I thought you loved me! I thought we had something special! I guess I was wrong, was all of this fake? Damn it Annabeth! I fell into fucking Tartarus for you! For you!"

I was beyond pissed. With out knowing it, I started a storm on the beach. The sky got darker and it started to rain. The earth started to shake also.

If it was even possible, she started to sob even more after hearing my words.

"Percy, ple-"

"I don't care Annabeth. Just leave. I don't want to see you again."

"Just list-"

"Enough! I said leave!"

After she left, I got rid of the storm and stopped the earthquake I didn't even know I made. I was somewhat thankful I didn't make that much of a powerful earthquake.

I sat down and buried my head into my knees. I must have sat there for a long time because before I knew it, the sky was completely black with white dots in it.

I saw the constellation of Zoe and I smiled at it. She was a remarkable huntress and a person I could call friend.

Deciding I should get going, I got up and dusted the sand off my pants and walked back to my cabin. Everyone must have been at dinner because I didn't see anyone around. I was thankful for this, as I wasn't in the mood for any conversation.

I got to my cabin and walked in slamming the door loudly. I started to pack everything I would need for a quest, there was no one left here. Sure I had friends in both camps, but I had a quest to complete.

I quickly grabbed a duffel bag out of the closet and started packing all the essentials I would need, a bunch of clothes, ambrosia, nectar, some mortal cash, and drachmas.

After I was done I decided to check that I had everything I needed. I walked over to the desk that I never used at all. There were pictures of Annabeth and I, pictures with us with all our friends. The happy times I thought bitterly. I took the pictures of Annabeth and I and ripped them to shreds, dropping the remains on the floor.

I opened the various drawers it had, but something caught my eye in the last drawer.

It was an elegant black box with a envelope under it. I picked up the box and looked at it. I opened the box and I saw something I had forgotten since the day I took it off and put it in there. I remembered putting this necklace in drawer the same day before I went to save my mother and retrieve the master bolt.

The necklace belonged to my childhood best friend. She and I were inseparable until the day I had to move to America. I never told anyone but I was from London but I had to move to New York when I was eight. I guess my mom wanted me to be close to camp since I was getting older.

It was a silver chain necklace with two charms on it. One charm was a circle which had two hands making a pinky promise. On the back it said P&H Best Friends Forever. The other charm was an infinity sign. We had given each other the necklaces to say we would remain best friends no matter what even if we could never see each other again.

I put the necklace down and picked up the envelope and opened it. I took out the contents of it which was a picture of me and my best friend. It was taken at the airport, we were both smiling even though I knew we were both going to miss each other a lot. I had my arm around her waist and her arm around my shoulders.

I thought since I was going to be at Hogwarts which is in Scotland, maybe I could stop by London and see if I could find her.

I quickly put on the necklace and stuffed the photo into my pocket. I grabbed my duffel bag and sprinted for the Big House. I quickly banged on the door and waited a few minutes. It was opened slightly and Chiron looked very sleepy.

"Chiron, I accept your quest to protect Harry Potter."

AN: I hope you guys enjoyed my first chapter. I'm sorry if anybody supports Percabeth. I like Percabeth too but I like this pairing as well. Also sorry if Percy and Annabeth were OOC, I had to do it to make the beginning of the story.

I do not have a set schedule on how I will update, I am still trying to figure that out.

P.S. If any of you want to see what the necklace looks like, go to Google images and type in 'best friend necklaces'. It should be the one in the third row second one.

Please leave a review and follow if you enjoyed it and tell me if there is anything I could improve.

Much appreciated Yoshi117
