A/N: The song is the one that was playing in the episode when Bonnie was crying when she had missed Damon and Elena. :'(
"I wanna thank you, for all your help
'Cause you on to me- you're on to me, I know
You tell me all the bad thing's I didn't know about myself
You're on to me, you're on to me I know.
Maybe I'm lost [x3]
But at least I'm looking..."

Chapter 1- Finding Bonnie
"I've got it!" Damon and Elena heard Kai exclaim triumphantly from the other room. They had been having a "discussion" about how reliable Kai really was after he had agreed to help them.
By 'discussion', meaning Damon fiercely whispering while Elena stood there irritated at the fact that he wouldn't let her get a word in.
"The ascendant to work?" Damon questioned him as they made their way back into the room, a glimmer of hope traced in his voice.
"What? No, that's impossible to fix, but I have an idea." He replied somewhat enthusiastically.
"Great, just what we need an idea from a mad man." Damon spat sarcastically.
"Speaking of mad men. Some of the most brilliant people in the world were crazy- almost clinical. Shakespeare, Einstein- "
"What is it?" Elena interrupted earning a look from Damon.
"I know a spell that will allow us to go back to my prison world, but only for a certain amount of time." He explained.
"Long enough to find Bonnie?" She asked hopefully.
"Long enough to find Bonnie." He repeated, obviously proud of himself, in clarification causing a smile to appear on her face. She resisted the strange urge to hug him.
It was good news, something she hadn't hear in a while.
"So how does this so called spell work?" Damon asked suddenly breaking her out of her excited filled dazed.
"It's a simple spell, but I am going to need to channel enough energy from someone else- a power source of sorts."
"I'll do it." She offered quickly.
"What?" Damon asked eyeing her as if she had gone completely insane.
"I need to do this Damon. I need to tell Bonnie about Silas, so she can come home." She argued trying to convince him.
"Then let me do it." He disputed back.
"No I have to know it's done, I'll go crazy waiting here." She attempted to explain to him.
"It could be dangerous."
"Are there any risks?" She asked turning back to Kai who had been looking back in forth between the pair in amusement.
"Physically? No." He answered, a bored tone visible in his voice.
"Yeah besides being in a prison world with an unpredictable and slightly unconventional psychopath."
"Wow Damon. You know it touches me that you know me so well." Kai smirked only irritating the vampire more.
"Look Damon, it's done. If this is what I have to do to save my best friend, there's nothing you can do to stop." She told him obviously determined.
"I give up, if you don't mind going on a little 'road trip' with a psycho then by all means don't let me stop you." He called out from behind him as he stormed out of the room.
"Man the tension in this place is just…" Kai spoke up again opening his arms wide causing Elena to throw him annoyed look.
"When are we doing this?" She asked him desperate to pull the subject away from her and Damon's little spat.
"Meet me in the cemetery where the magic border used to be outside of Mystic Falls." He instructed her standing up from the seat he had been sitting for hours.
"Why there?" She questioned him muddled.
"Because that place is just full of witch voodoo, and plus who doesn't love a good graveyard."
"All those dead people." He added winking at her before leaving and making his way down the main hallway, Elena in tow.
"Oh yeah and bring a timer- at sunset." He reminded her again just in case she would forget.
"It's a date." She confirmed immediately regretting the words that slipped from her lips as he closed the door behind him. She inwardly cursed herself.
She jumped slightly when he abruptly reopened the door enough to stick his head through.
"Should I dress normal or go for a casual look." He asked her smirking.
She scowled and forcefully pushed his head through the opening and slamming the door. Locking it this time.
"That's not any way to treat your date." She heard him call from the other side.
~time skip~
"Finally you're here, I was starting to think you stood me up." He said nonchalantly leaning against an unknown gravestone.
"Oh and I see you brought 'Mr. Grumpy pants'." He added when he saw Damon appear from her rear.
"One more annoying word and I will snap your neck." He said in a somewhat sing-song way.
"Oh Damon, you and your empty threats." He said slowly laughing slightly.
"It's starting to become quite…amusing."
"Will you two shut up so we can get this show on the road?" She was starting to get irritated and was glad Damon wasn't going so she wouldn't have to hear the two's constant back and forth.
"Did you get the timer?" He asked.
She threw an old school, white digital timer at him forcefully.
"Someone's cranky." He whispered raising his eyebrows.
He held the timer in his hand and mumbled something incoherently under his breath. The timer duplicated. He set them both and threw the copy to Damon.
"The longest we can go is a week without throwing the whole space time continuum and all that other good stuff out of balance." He elucidated to both of them.
"What happens if we don't make it back in time?" She asked curiously.
"Then Bonnie won't be the only one trying to find a way home."
"Give me your hands." He commanded her after he slipped the small timer into his front pocket.
She stood across from him, and hesitantly placed her hands in his.
"Wow, our first date and we're already holding hands. It's all a little too fast don't you think?"
"Do you want me to punch you?" Damon asked him, a menacing look bearing his face.
"That might not be such a good idea. If you punch me it will most likely piss me off, and I won't help you. Maybe even kill you." He replied smiling in amusement at the thought.
"Let's just do this. " Elena sighed.
"You might one stand back, unless you want to get blasted to bits. I wouldn't mind either way is good for me." He suggested turning to Damon.
"Let's just get this over with." She replied, not wanting things to become anymore awkward than they already were.
Kai started the incantation, in words she couldn't understand of course, and repeated it again and again. The fourth time she felt this overwhelming energy surging through her and before she knew it her she felt her world swirl into her darkness.
When she woke up, she was in the familiarity of the couch in the Salvatore mansion.
"Did it work?" She thought to herself.
"Home sweet hell." Kai exclaimed walking into the room, a bottle of unknown alcohol in his hand.
A/N 2: I had already tried a Kailena story but I felt that I had no way to continue it and since there was already a kidnapping story on here that was major. Mine felt unoriginal to me, plus I didn't know how to continue it. But I have so many plans for this. I hope you guys like it and it doesn't suck as much as my other one.
