Hey guys! This is my first story on here! Feel free to give me your opinions! I'm still trying to get used to this website -.- So yeah, read on! *shuffles away awkwardly*

"A week! A whole week, Leo!"

"I know how long it's been, Raph!"

"Then why haven't we gotten him back yet?!"

"We need to make a plan before we just throw ourselves out in the open!"

"Shut up, Donnie!"

"Raph!"

"Raphael! Leonardo! Donatello!"

The three sons stop their yelling, all looking up to their father.

"Fighting will accomplish nothing," Master Splinter says sternly, walking to his remaining sons slowly. "Donatello is right, Raphael. You must create a well thought-out plan before you can proceed in rescuing your brother."

"Sensei, Mikey could be dead right now, and we're not doing anything!" Raphael, the hot-head of the family, tries to say calmly, but it comes out nearly a shout.

At the word dead, the oldest of the brothers, and the leader, Leonardo, cringes for a moment, not wanting to ever believe that that horrible word was connected with his youngest brother.

"Raph, we've been searching every night! And every night has been a failure!" Donatello, the genius and medic of the family, exclaims, looking to his red-clad brother.

And that is exactly why you must make a plan, as you have suggested, Donatello. Clearly, your searching is not sufficing."

Leo sighs, "We understand, Sensei, but Donnie's already tried to call him about five times, but he hasn't answered once! He's even tried to use the tracker he put in all the T-Phones to find Mikey, but nothing showed up! What else can we do?"

Splinter walks closer to his oldest son, resting an old paw on his shoulder, "You mustn't give up so easily, my son. There are many possible ways to rescue your brother. You just have to use your mind."

Leo sighs once more, closing his eyes for a brief moment, then looks back up to his father, "We'll do everything we can…"

"Good. I will be in my room, meditating on the matter. Save your brother, my sons." And with that, Splinter walks away from his three present sons, and into his room to do what he has said he would do.

Silence falls over the three turtles. The oldest still faces away from his brothers, his mind working in overdrive, trying to figure out how to find his baby brother.

After a few silent minutes, Donnie murmurs to his older brothers, "I'll be in the lab trying to find Mikey's tracker…" He then walks into his lab, closing the door behind him.

"I'll be at the punching bag…" Raph mutters, his teeth gritted. Raph walks to the dojo, nearly slamming the doors behind him.

Leo sighs heavily, and then simply trudges to the couch placed in front of the television, Michelangelo's game system on the floor next to it. Leo's blue eyes travel to said electronic device, and he can almost hear his baby brother shouting at the thing to work properly.

Closing his eyes, Leo leans his head back, sucking in a slow breath, letting it go, just as slow.

A week. An entire week and Mikey's still missing. Leo knew he shouldn't have let Mikey go topside alone… But of course, he let him. He's just getting some fresh air! he thought. He just needs to let out all that bundled up energy!

*FLASHBACK*

"Oh, c'mon, Leo, I'll be fine!"

"Mikey, no. You know how dangerous it is up there."

Michelangelo sighs, looking at his oldest brother, who is currently positioned on the floor of the dojo, sitting Indian style with his hands on his kneepads, eyes closed. "Just a quick run to the dump! I'm so bored! I need to do something!"

Leonardo sighs, opening his eyes, breaking out of his meditative trance, "You have video games. You have comic books. Mikey, you have your training, which is what you're supposed to be doing right now!"

Mikey just barely dodges a swing from his hot-headed brother. The two are currently sparring, Raphael taking it seriously, but his orange-clad brother is too focused on convincing their older brother to let him go topside.

"That stuff gets old after a while!" Mikey complains, his blue eyes flickering from Raph to Leo, wanting to keep a convincing gaze on his blue-clad brother, but also keeping an eye on his red-clad brother, not wanting to get punched in the face.

Raph rolls his green eyes, "Get yer head in the game, Mikey!" He says, jutting his right leg, sweeping it under his little brother's feet, making the youngest yelp and fall to the training mat on his carapace.

Instead of scrambling back up like Raph was expecting, Mikey simply sits up and looks to Leo, who has his eyes closed again, "Pleeeeease?!"

Not getting an answer, Mikey keeps complaining and pleading. Raph rolls his eyes, "I'm outta here. I'm gonna see if Donnie fixed my T-Phone yet," he sighs, walking out of the dojo.

"Leoooo!" Mikey exclaims, trying to get his brother to say yes.

After a few moments, Leo's calm hands turn to fists, and he snaps his eyes open, "Fine! Go! But don't expect me to save your sorry shell if you get into trouble!" Leo exclaims with a glare. His gaze, though, almost immediately softens, realizing how crude he had just sounded. But clearly, his brother hadn't noticed, for he's already out the dojo door.

"Thanks, Leo!" Comes the faint shout of happiness as Mikey runs out.

Leo looks after him, but the dojo's doors shut slowly, disabling him from seeing Mikey any longer.

He's gonna get hurt, I know it, Leo thinks, then sighs and shakes his head, No, he'll be fine. He can take care of himself…

And with that, Leonardo closes his eyes, his three-fingered hands relaxing on his kneepads again, resuming his meditation.

Nothing had seemed off that night. Nothing seemed amiss. That was, until dinner rolled around, and Mikey hadn't yet returned to join his family.

"Where is Michelangelo?" Splinter asks, looking at his sons that are present at the table.

Leo swallows, glancing out of the corner of his eye to the doorway of the kitchen, silently praying that his brother would just walk through and said he was sorry for being late. But that never came.

"Leonardo?"

At his name, said turtle looks to his father, "Yes, Sensei?"

"Do you know of Michelangelo's whereabouts?" The old rat questions, sensing his oldest son hiding something from him.

Leo is silent for a moment, but then he sighs, "He went topside…"

"Alone?" Donnie interrupts with big, honey-colored eyes.

Again, Leo sighs, "Yes. He said he was just making a quick run to the dump. He said he'd be careful. He's probably just taking his time…" he says, trying to ease the tension that is now building.

"I'm calling him," Donnie says quickly, pulling out his T-Phone and calling his little brother.

"He's fine," Raph says dismissively, taking another bite of his sausage and pepperoni pizza.

"I'd still like to hear from him…" The purple-clad turtle murmurs, putting the phone to his ear, hearing the ringing.

"Did he say when he would return?" Splinter asks to his oldest son.

Leo shakes his head, "No…"

Splinter nods and hums thoughtfully, his paw stroking the fur under his chin.

"He's not answering…" Donnie says, looking to his family.

"Does he have his T-Phone even on 'im?" Raph asks, setting down his slice of pizza and looking at Leo.

The leader nods, "Yeah, he always does. He never goes anywhere without it."

"Then why isn't he answering…?!" Donnie exclaims, trying to keep calm.

Leo forces a small smile, "He's probably too preoccupied with whatever he found at the dump."

"Highly doubtful…" The genius murmurs before trying again.

*PRESENT*

They've searched every night since then. Right after dinner, the three turtles would go topside to find their fourth. But every time, there was no luck.

Leo never says it, he never calls a blame, but he always, always blames himself. If only he'd just stuck with his answer of no… He might've been pestered more by Mikey, but at least he knew he would be safe. Now, the fearless leader is full of fear, unable to keep his baby brother safe.

Mikey's a beaming ray of sunshine. He keeps everyone laughing in a dark situation, managing to keep everyone's spirits up high. No matter how much the turtles tried to deny it, they were all lost without their little brother.

Leo feels tears threatening to spill, making him squeeze his eyes tighter. Raph is right. Mikey could be dead… Leo's hands turn to fists, No, stop. He's fine… He has to be…

"Leo! Raph!" comes the loud shout from the lab, making Leo snap his eyes wide open and his head up. Raph quickly throws open the doors of the dojo, walking out only a little with big eyes.

The genius runs out of his lab, holding his T-Phone tightly in his left hand, his laptop under his right arm. "I've got a lead! You guys, I've tracked Mikey!"

So what do you guys think? Should I continue it? The next chapter will involve some Mikey action if you're interested, and if I write it! Thanks for reading, and leave some comments on what you think! Booyakasha!
