I'm planning to have the beginning of a chapter introduce a "partnership" of sorts between the Empire and the Fire Nation at the beginning of a later chapter, possibly towards the end of book one. Enjoy!

Zuko was sitting in quarters, meditating, trying to keep himself calm. Suddenly, Iroh burst into the room carrying a map.

"The only reason you should be interrupting me is if you have news about the Avatar, or the Jedi," Zuko said in a quiet voice. Iroh cautiously approached Zuko holding a map.

"Well, there is news, Prince Zuko, but you might not like it. Don't get too upset," Iroh said curiously. Zuko looked almost offended.

"Uncle, you taught me that keeping a level head is a sign of a great leader. Now whatever you have to say, I'm sure that I can take it," he said calmly.

"Okay, then... we have no idea where they are," Iroh said. Zuko's face turned bright red with fury.

"WHAT?!" He said, enraged, while causing the candles in the room to go from a small ember to a burning blaze. Iroh shielded his eyes and face.

"You really should open a window in here," he said fanning his face. Zuko was not amused.

"Give me the map!" He said, snatching the map from his uncle's hand.

"There have been multiple sightings of the Avatar, and (reads from a small sheet of paper) 'a man wielding sticks of light,' but no one has been able to track them down," Iroh said.

"How am I gonna find the Avatar, Uncle? He's clearly a master of maneuvering, and with the Jedi's help, there's no telling where they could be,"

Back with Aang's group, Jacob and Aang were looking at a map, trying to figure where in the world they were.

"You guys have no idea where you're going, do you?" Sokka asked.

"Weeelll, I know it's near water…" Aang said, even though they had been flying over water for hours.

"Maybe it's on an island?" Jacob said, scratching his head looking at the map.

"I guess we're getting close then," Sokka said sarcastically.

"Hey, navigation has never been my strong suit. That's why I'm usually in the gunner's seat," Jacob said with a coy smile. Aang and Sokka just looked at each other and blinked.

"Riiight, I forgot you guys don't even have anything remotely advanced like that. I'll let you guys handle the navigation," Jacob said with an embarrassed smile and chuckle. Jacob then moved to the back of the saddle near Katara and started fiddling with his lightsabers, using a tool to tighten odds and ends while Katara was sowing Sokka's pants, while Momo sat on Aang's shoulder.

"Momo, marbles please!" Momo reached into Aang's bag and handed him the marbles. He then began to spin the marbles in a mini tornado in his hand.

"Hey Katara! Check out this airbending trick!" He said with a smile.

"That's great Aang," Katara said, without even looking.

"You didn't even look," Aang said, feeling crushed that she didn't look.

"That's great!" She said looking up this time, even though Aang didn't do a thing.

"But I'm not doing it now," he said in a confused fashion.

"I thought it was a pretty neat trick," Jacob said, smiling trying to cheer him up. Aang just frowned and his shoulders sank.

"Stop bugging her, airhead. You need to give girls space when they do their sewing," Sokka said.

"What does me being a girl have to do with sewing?" Katara said in an annoyed fashion.

"Simple: girls are better at fixing pants than guys, and guys are better at hunting and fighting and stuff like that. It's just the natural order of things," Sokka said, not realizing his sister was annoyed at him. Jacob frowned at his statement.

"You know, I've seen plenty of female Jedi Masters in my time and I've seen them become some of the greatest warriors the galaxy has ever seen. Many becoming much more skilled Jedi than some of the male members of the order. Skill and demeanor should define what you do. Not gender," he said in a serious tone. His mind thought drifted to a particular girl; a Togruta he cared deeply for. Katara seemed to agree with him as she nodded and threw Sokka's pants at him.

"All done with your pants! And look what a great job I did!" She said with exaggerated happiness and sarcasm.

"Wait! I was just kidding! I can't wear these! Katara Please!" He pleaded with his sister as he stuck his hand through the hole in his pants.

"Don't worry, Sokka. Where we're going, you won't need any pants!" Aang said cheerfully. He then gives a pull on the reigns as Appa descends. They then come to a crescent shaped island where they decide to make camp.

"We just made a pit stop yesterday. Shouldn't we get a little more flying done before we camp out?" Sokka said.

"He's right. At this rate we won't get to the North Pole until spring," Katara said.

"But Appa's tired already, aren't you boy? I said, aren't you boy?" Aang nudged Appa who yawned on cue, though obviously not tired, and Aang gives him a thumbs up when no one's looking.

"Yeah, that was real convincing. Still, hard to argue with a ten ton magical monster," Sokka said. Aang then went to jump in the water to ride the fish. Meanwhile, Jacob had wandered a bit farther from camp. He went to the shore and wanted to practice his water bending. He moved his arms back and forth, pushing and pulling, then lifted his hands up and made a ring of water, which he then began to swirl and shot it off into the air in a stream of water. Then, all of a sudden, he felt a rush to his head as another vision appeared to him. In his vision, he saw the same lake that he stood before, and watched as Revan was seemingly practicing his waterbending. He looked on in his vision as Revan propelled himself up with a whirlpool of water and then came down with a splash creating a massive tidal wave that was headed right for Jacob. He knew it was only a force vision, but it still startled him. He was awoken from his vision by the sound of Sokka and Katara screaming for Aang to get out of the water. Jacob watched as Aang screamed in horror after seeing a massive fin chasing him. He began to run towards the shore using airbending to run on the water. Jacob tried to help him by creating a wave to push the creature away, which slows it down long enough for Aang to reach the shore, in which Aang runs headfirst into Sokka, knocking him over. Jacob then ran back to the group to see if he's ok.

"Aang! Are you alright?" He asked, kneeling next to Aang.

"Yeah, I'm ok. Thanks for the wave," he said. Jacob nodded with a smile.

"Nice waterbending out there Jacob. But, what was that thing?" Katara asked Aang.

"I don't know," Aang said, standing up.

"Well, I don't think we should stick around to find out. Let's get out of here," Jacob said, offering his hand to Sokka who obliges. Before they could do anything else, five warriors in green outfits and face paint drop down from the trees. The first warrior grabbed Sokka under their arms, the second pulled Katara's hood over her head, the third grabbed Aang's shirt, the fourth pulled Jacob by his light robes before he had a chance to grab his lightsaber, and the fifth stuffed Momo in a leather bag. The next thing they knew, they were all bound and tied and thrown at the warriors feet.

"Or, we could stay a while," Sokka said with a nervous smile, looking at the warriors.

A few minutes had passed and the group was tied and blindfolded to a cement object of some kind in front of a village. In front of them were the warriors, all dressed in green and white face paint and had fans at their wastes.

"You four have some explaining to do," Oyagi, the leader of the village said.

"And if you don't answer all our questions, we're throwing you back in the water with the unagi," One of the warriors said, threateningly.

"Show yourselves, cowards!" Sokka said. Their blindfolds were removed as the warriors came into view. While all this was going on, Jacob saw his pack not too far away and called on the force to pull his lightsaber to him to cut himself free, but did is very cautiously and slowly, trying not to alert the warriors.

"Who are you? Where are the men who ambushed us?" Sokka said, straining in his bonds.

"There were no men. We ambushed you. Now tell us, who are you and what are you doing here?" A feminine voice said.

"Wait a second, there's no way that a bunch of girls took us down," Sokka said with a mocking laugh.

"Sokka! Are you trying to get us killed?! Stop talking!" Jacob said irritated, trying to kick him. He stopped trying to get his lightsaber for a moment to reprimand Sokka.

"A bunch of girls, huh? You should listen to your friend or the unagi's gonna eat well tonight," one of the warriors (Suki) said threateningly.

"No, don't hurt him! He didn't mean it. My brother is just an idiot sometimes," Katara said quickly before they could do anything.

"It's my fault. I'm sorry we came here. I wanted to ride the elephant koi," Aang said apologetically.

"How do we know you're not Fire Nation spies? Kyoshi stayed out of the war so far. And we intend to keep it that way!" Oyagi said, pointing at Aang accusingly. Hearing that, Aang looked surprised and interested.

"This island is named for Kyoshi? I know Kyoshi!" Aang said enthusiastically. The village didn't look too impressed.

"Ha! How could you possibly know her? Avatar Kyoshi was born here four hundred years ago. She's been dead for centuries," Oyagi said.

"I know her because I'm the Avatar," Aang said bluntly. He paused for a second.

"And my friend in the robes is a Jedi," Aang said nudging his head to Jacob. Hearing this, Jacob once again stopped trying to reach for his lightsaber, and smiled coyly and blinked at the villagers.

"That's impossible! The last Avatar was an airbender who disappeared a hundred years ago," Suki said shaking her fist at Aang.

"And the Jedi haven't roamed this land in over half a millennia!" Oyagi said pointing at Jacob. Jacob shot him a look of daggers.

"Throw the imposters to the Unagi!" Oyagi said. The warriors prepared to apprehend them once again.

"Aang... do some airbending…" Katara said tensely.

"And Jacob, maybe a little laser sword action would help?" Sokka pleaded.

"Way ahead of you," he whispered. One of His lightsabers was finally close enough that he brought it behind him, ignited it and cut the rope with the blue blade. The village watched in awe as the lit blade seemed to dance as Jacob did a back flip and landed next to the statue, and deactivated the saber.

"He-He really is a Jedi!" Suki said in awe. Jacob then gestured to Aang who propelled himself upward with airbending and landed gracefully on top of the statue.

"It's true... you are the Avatar!" Oyagi said to Aang. Aang then landed back on the ground in front of the village. He then proceeded to do the same trick he did for Katara to the entire village with a wide smile.

"Now check this out!" He said excitedly. Jacob just shook his head with a chuckle, when all of a sudden, another vision came to him. This time, he saw Revan doing what appeared to be earthbending, as he created walls of rock and launched boulders into the air. This almost looked like Revan was practicing his earthbending, only this time, there was another figure, a woman. He could tell it wasn't Kyoshi, as she was not wearing the armor the warriors had. Maybe it was before Kyoshi's time? For some reason, the woman training him seemed very familiar, as if he was seeing memories of things he'd already been through. Then it hit him, this was the place where Avatar Revan came to Master Earthbending, and the woman must be his teacher, and was at the exact place Jacob was standing, only, the place where Revan was training overlooked a cliff, but was somehow the same place. Though now, it didn't seem as if there were any earthbenders in Kyoshi. He was shaken from his vision after hearing a man scream with joy, and watched as he foamed at the mouth and fainted from excitement.

"I hope this whole Avatar thing won't go to Aang's head. Though it might be too late," Jacob thought to himself. Meanwhile, word gets around that the Avatar is on Kyoshi Island, and word eventually gets back to Prince Zuko.

"The Avatar is on Kyoshi Island? The Jedi has to be there too! Uncle, ready the rhinos. They're not getting away from me this time," He commanded his uncle, who obliged. Iroh looked hungrily at Zuko's fish that had just been delivered.

"Are you going to finish that?" He asked with his mouth watering. Zuko frowned

"I was saving it for later! Now lets go!"

Back with Aang and everyone else, Some of the villagers were caring for Appa, who grunted happily at being brushed and petted. Aang, Jacob, Katara and Sokka were inside one of the villager's houses preparing for a large feast, while Aang eyed a particularly large plate of desserts.

"All right! Dessert for breakfast! (stuffing his face and talking with his mouth full) These people sure know how to treat an Avatar!" He said happily.

"I think I'll just stick with…whatever this…salad stuff is," Jacob said, looking at a plate of Lettuce, tomatoes, and what looked like a possible coconut.

"Suit yourself! Mmm... Katara you've got to try these!" Aang said still with his mouthful.

"Well, maybe just a bite…" Katara said, taking a piece of candy from Aang.

"Sokka, what's your problem? EAT!" Aang said to Sokka, who was sitting huddled up in a corner with a frown on his face.

"Not hungry," Sokka said, disgruntled.

"But you're always hungry!" Aang said.

"I've got some more fruit and nut bars if you want those," Jacob said sarcastically. Sokka didn't look amused and Jacob chuckled nervously.

"He's just upset because a bunch of girls kicked his butt yesterday," Katara said with a smirk. Jacob laughed at this, so did Aang.

"They snuck up on me!" Sokka said.

"Right. And then they kicked your butt," Katara said smugly.

"Sneak attacks don't count! (pacing around the room, gesticulating wildly to the air) Tie me up with ropes! I'll show them a thing or two. I'm not scared of any girls. Who do they think they are anyway? Mmm this is tasty," Sokka walks out of the room stuffing his face with cakes and candies.

"What's he so angry about? It's great here. They're giving us the royal treatment," Aang said.

"Where I come from, the "royal treatment," doesn't work out too well for everyone else," Jacob said, referring to Palpatine's rise to power.

"Yeah, don't get too comfortable. It's risky for us to stay in one place for very long," Katara said. Jacob nodded in agreement.

"I'm sure we'll be fine. Besides, did you see how happy I'm making this town? They're even cleaning up that statue in my honor!" Aang said, gesturing to Kyoshi's statue that was being cleaned up by the villagers.

"Well, it's nice to see you excited about being the Avatar," Katara said.

"Just don't let it go to your head, Aang. Fame can be a dangerous thing," Jacob added.

"Come on, you know me better than that. I'm just a simple monk," Aang said.

"Speaking of Kyoshi, I have a question for you, Aang. Who was the Avatar before Kyoshi?" Jacob asked. Aang looked at him with a somewhat blank expression.

"Well that's easy. The Avatar before Kyoshi would be Avatar Revan," Aang said. Jacob scratched his chin and pondered this.

"Interesting. I had my suspicions, but I wasn't sure. Thank you Aang," Jacob then got up from the table.

"Where are you going?" Katara asked.

"I need to do some research. I'm sure there's a library or something in this town. Call for me if you run into trouble," Jacob said, walking out the door. Katara and Aang looked at each other and just shrugged. Jacob looked around the village, looking for any tell tale sign of a place that had reading material, when Oyagi came up to him enthusiastically, noticing his wandering.

"Is there anything I can do to help you, master Jedi?" Oyagi asked in an almost over excited manner.

"Sheesh. Talk about overexcitement," Jacob thought to himself.

"Actually, if you could point me to the nearest library, that'd be much appreciated. And please, call me Jacob," he said with a forced smile.

"Well, the only library we really have here is that old hut on the outskirts of town. Not many people go there, but there's a good amount of reading material," Oyagi pointed to a beaten up and run down hut just off the path north of the village.

"You wouldn't happen to have anything on Avatar Revan, would you?" Jacob asked. Oyagi scratched his head but pondered Jacob's question.

"The avatar before Kyoshi? There's likely something there, but you'll have to look. Is there anything I can do for you master—I mean Jacob?" Oyagi asked.

"No, that will be all. Thank you," Jacob said. Oyagi bowed and smiled with excitement. Jacob rolled his eyes when Oyagi wasn't looking, and headed for the "library." When he got there, it was obvious no one had been there in years, as the door was rusted shut. Jacob extended his hand and force pushed the door open with ease. When he entered the hut, he saw several book shelves filled with scrolls and books.

"This'll take forever. Just gotta look for anything on Revan," he said to himself. He had actually become quite familiar with the languages on the scrolls and such, as it was very similar to aurebesh, in fact it was almost identical to Tattooine aurebesh, where he spent some time after the Great Jedi Purge. After thumbing through book after book, he finally came to a large scroll that read: "The Jedi Avatar; Memoirs from my time training Revan. By Aleena." Jacob read that name and another vision appeared to him: He saw Revan kissing a brown haired and slightly tanned skin woman at the same cliff he had seen before. What was strange was that it was the same woman who was teaching Revan earthbending in his previous vision. It felt so familiar, like Jacob himself had kissed this woman before. The vision ended without anything else happening.

"What in the name of the force?" He questioned himself. He read the scroll, looking for anything of interest when he came to a particular intriguing passage.

"'Revan is a gifted bender. No wonder I fell in love with him. He's strong, compassionate, and he truly cares for people. I'm so glad I got to be his Earthbending teacher,'"

"So this, Aleena was Revan's earthbending teacher. Apparently his lover too," Jacob thought to himself. He kept reading.

"What interested me so much about him was that, he wasn't an avatar in the traditional sense, meaning he wasn't born here, in this land, which sounds absolutely outlandish now that I think about it. Instead, he was essentially 'born' an Avatar when he first came here and somehow acquired his bending abilities. The previous avatar, Yangchen, has unfortunately passed on, so it was a relief to finally find out who the next avatar was, even if he wasn't from our world originally,"

Jacob was very intrigued at this.

"So that explains how Revan became an Avatar. But it doesn't explain how he got here," he said to himself, as if someone was listening. He kept reading looking for any clues, but didn't find anything in Aleena's memoir. He found another one of Aleena's scrolls that dated back to before the scroll he just read, that was more diary-like than the previous scroll.

"Something completely unbelievable happened! Some sort of meteorite crash landed near the defunct five thousand year old Jedi temple! It has the whole Earth Kingdom on edge, because a man came out of the meteorite! The old Spiritual Earth benders say he's a Jedi! And that he's the Avatar! I have no inclination on how that's even possible! And on the same Day that Yangchen died! I definitely need to look into this more,"

Jacob was reading intently when he heard laughter coming from outside and saw Aang posing for paintings and playing with the young girls of the village. He shook his head and tried to focus on looking for more information.

"It can't be a coincidence that Revan landed near this old Jedi Temple. That means there were Jedi here even before Revan!" He said to himself again. He began searching for any information on this old Jedi Temple and the Jedi that may have lived in this realm. On that account, he found one small scroll, dealing with a few Jedi that resided in a temple near in the Earth Kingdom, as well as something about the first benders being Jedi. It appeared to be a historical scroll with no known author that he could find. Some of the scroll was dated so far back in history, that Jacob could not find any discernible date, while the other portion was dated around five thousand years ago, when temple appeared to be thriving. It was two scrolls consolidated into one and it looked like it was crudely assembled, he assumed by Aleena.

"These strange people, who call themselves, 'Jedi,' are able to control the elements at will and carry some sort of strange glowing weapon, as well manipulate some sort of energy field. They have passed on their ability to control this field, as well as their ability to manipulate the elements, to the lion turtles, who then pass it on to us,"

"The Jedi were the first benders?! And passed it on to these 'lion turtles?!" Jacob thought in disbelief. He read the next part of the scroll.

"The temple of the Jedi has a strong spiritual connection to the Jedi who live there, as well as the planet itself. Though, through the years, less and less Jedi reside here, as they either pass on, or leave. It seems without them in their native realm, the universe is thrown somewhat out of balance. Some of them are called 'dual benders' and are able to control two of the four elements. Many of the Jedi have returned home, bringing with them their abilities," There was some more writing but it was too faded to read, so he turned the scroll over, which had writing dated a few decades after the previous side.

"The last of the Jedi have passed on, and now, I regret to say, that none of them live here. There are no more Jedi in our world, and the temple is decrepit and falling to pieces. I will carry on their teachings as an acolyte. Though I am not a Jedi myself, I have found an affinity in myself for 'the force' and will continue their teachings for as long as I have left in me, which, I'm afraid may not be too long. This is likely my last entry. —Tetro Kenobi,"

Jacob's eyes instantly lit up with utter surprise at this revelation. A relative of Obi-Wan Kenobi had once lived in this realm. If only he'd been able to tell Obi-Wan somehow. He decided to keep the historical and journal scroll, but put Aleena's memoirs back. As he did, he looked outside and realized the village was on fire! He'd been so caught up in reading he didn't even realize how long it had been and couldn't believe he didn't hear the commotion sooner. He rushed outside to see Zuko and Aang at a stand off in the village. He was about to give Aang a hand when he saw him pick up the Kyoshi warrior fans and blow Zuko straight back into a wall. He then ran to the rest of the group after seeing Katara help a small child inside.

"I'm sorry I didn't get here sooner," Jacob said looking at the devastation.

"It's not your fault. It's mine. Look what I've brought to this place," Aang said, hanging his head.

"It's not your fault," Katara said comforting him.

"Yes, it is. These people got their town destroyed trying to protect me," Aang said sadly.

"Then I think it's time we take our leave. I know it doesn't feel right to run, but if we leave, I'm sure Zuko will follow us," Jacob said. Katara nodded in agreement.

"I'll call Appa," Aang said, hanging his head. While the group was waiting for Appa, Jacob was assisting the Kyoshi warriors in fending of the fire nation, by using the force and waterbending the fire nation troopers away. He saw Suki give Sokka a kiss on the cheek.

"Now get out of here! We'll hold them off!" She said, gesturing for them to leave. Jacob, Sokka, Katara and Aang all hopped on Appa as they watched the town being scorched by the fire nation.

"Appa, Yip-Yip!" Aang said. And with a loud grunt from Appa and a flap of his tail, they were in the air. Zuko noticed the flying bison and became furious.

"Back to the ship! Don't lose sight of them!" He said to his men. Back on Appa, Aang had a sad look on his face.

"I know it's hard, but you did the right thing. Zuko would have destroyed the whole place if we had stayed. They're going to be okay, Aang," Katara said, comforting him. Without saying a word, Aang jumped off of Appa with a determined expression on his face.

"What're you doing?!" Katara yelled as he jumped off. Sokka, Katara, and Jacob all looked on in horror as Aang landed in the water. Several seconds go by before the unagi bursts out of the water with Aang riding on it. He has hold of both whiskers and forces the unagi's head towards Kyoshi. Aang then pulls back on the whiskers and the unagi spews water over the town. The stream continues long enough to put out the fires Zuko and his army had started. Instead of the village being ablaze, it was now simply smoldering. Aang let go of the Unagi as it retreated back in to the water. He made his was back on to Appa where everyone was waiting for him. Back in Kyoshi, Oyagi was looking through the window.

"Thank you, Avatar, he said, watching as Appa disappeared into the clouds. Back on Appa, Aang had just climbed back into the saddle.

"I know, I know. That was stupid and dangerous," Aang said, expecting a lecture.

"Yes, it was," Katara said. But instead of lecturing him, she embraced him as if to say 'thank you.' Aang was pleasantly surprised by this. Jacob gave a smile, as he knew how much he cared for her, as well as the opposite. After a long and eventful day, Appa continued into the clouds as the group continued on their journey to the Northern water tribe.

BACK IN IMPERIAL SPACE…

A fleet of star destroyers were gathered near Corellia, awaiting the portal to the avatar's world to open. Aboard the newly cloned grand inquisitor's ship, The Inquisition, a holographic projection of Darth Vader can be seen talking to the inquisitor.

"In three days time, the portal to the Avatar's Realm will open. You are to hunt down and bring the Jedi to me. The avatar is your secondary target; after you capture the Jedi, bring the avatar. Destroy anyone, or anything that gets in your way. The 501st legion is to help you achieve this. Should you fail, grand inquisitor, your punishment will be far worse than your template's death," Vader said over the holoprojector.

"I will not fail, Lord Vader. The Jedi will be in your grasp by the time you arrive," the grand inquisitor said.

"I hope so, inquisitor, for your sake," Vader said, as he cut the transmission. The grand inquisitor couldn't help but feel uneasy at his master's warning, but he knew that there were some things worse than death, and he did not wish to find out what Lord Vader could mean by that. He had to capture his targets, at all cost…

Sorry it's been awhile! And yes, I am still working on my Jurassic Park and TWD crossover, so no worries if you read those. That being said, again, if anyone knows good script websites, let me know! As for this story, the empire will be arriving in the next chapter! Stay tuned! ~JPfan
