Hello there everyone, old fans and new readers alike!

Okay first I'm going to say something to my current readers who follow me and my two main stories: DON'T PANIC! Lol. This story is a short story, around five chapters, 14,000 + words and complete. COMPLETE! So you don't have to worry about me starting another story or what not. This one is done and I'm just uploading a chapter every other day for fun.

I've read a few DP stories about Danny's class going into his mind and I really like the idea so I decided I want to do one myself.

I'll tell you a secret, it's actually kinda difficult to come up with ideas for going into someone's head. This story, even though it's a short story, was a challenge.

On that note, it is a short story, so don't expect it to be incredibly in depth and such. This was kinda like a little pet project of mine I worked on the last few days. I have a bunch of short stories / oneshots for Pokemon so I thought having a DP one would be nice.

Well I think that's all I have to say, other than Danny and his friends are seventeen in this story and it's after D-stablized. If you want to know what my timeline is for the DP universe, check out the first chapter of Pondus Omnium, my main DP story.

Alright, onto the real fun! I hope you Enjoy!

Lancer watched the students closely for a while as the class slowly started to settle down. It was a Thursday morning so everyone was getting antsy for the weekend to come. He understood that it was harder for them all to focus, but he hoped that what he had planned would grab their attention. Lancer dared to glance towards Daniel and saw, like most days, he was asleep. He could also see Samantha trying to hide her attempts to poke her friend awake and Tucker trying to hide his peeks at his PDA.

"Class."

At that word everyone finally quieted fully. Dash halted from his movement to blow a spitball at the back of Danny's head, Star and Kwan gave him their attention, Paulina didn't look up from her mirror, and the rest all eventually looked at him. Lancer's face changed from one of passiveness, the one he normally wore, to one filled with contained excitement.

"Class, today we're going to do something a bit different. We're going to go into the mind of one of your classmates. It's going to help the school cover the psychology portion of your curriculum."

"Uh Mr. Lancer… What if none of us want to have everybody in our heads?" Tucker asked with a hint of anxiety.

Lancer smiled. "I've already chosen whose mind we're going to enter and explore. I've received parental consent and everything."

"Who?" Kwan asked and scratched his head.

Lancer looked over at Danny who was still snoozing. Sam and Tucker caught onto where Lancer's gaze was pointed at and paled before giving each other panicked looks.

Lancer had specifically chosen Danny because both he and the boy's parents were concerned for him and wanted to know if his mind was well. The boy had used to be very attentive, fairly responsible, and ready to learn, never getting less than a B- in most classes. That had all changed since the beginning of Freshman year and now, three years later, he'd only gotten worse. He stayed out past curfew almost every night, skipped school, even having Samantha and Tucker follow the example, and even shown up with bruises, cuts and various other injuries. The Fentons and Mr. Lancer weren't sure what was going on, but perhaps finally they would have their answers. They were doing this for his own good.

"We'll be checking out Daniel's mind."

Dash snorted and rested his head in his hands. "This is going to be boring."

"A bunch of geek stuff and stupid embarrassing memories, joy. Oh and images of me… in a seventeen year-old boys' mind," Paulina grumbled and started filing her nails.

Lancer ignored them and then started to pass out silver ear pieces which would draw everyone into a dream-like state so that the main headset could pull their consciousnesses into Danny's mind.

"Mr. Lancer, I feel like this is a bit of a invasion of Danny's privacy," Sam spoke up and then scowled.

Lancer grunted. "Yes technically it is, but on the other hand, he still a minor and his parents have given their consent."

Sam and Tucker exchanged glances as they were given their own ear buds.

Eventually everyone had their pieces on and Lancer carefully placed the helmet of the Mind Explorer on the sleeping Danny's head. He then drug up a desk for himself in front of Danny's desk and sat before clicking the button on the side of the helmet.

Within a few moments, everyone's world's went dark.

No one there saw Technus glance at them all and then grin from the outside of the window. The ghost lifted the window sill slightly and then moved a cord through the crack and towards Danny's helmet. It snapped into the back and started to glow before Technus cackled and flew away from Casper High to witness his fine work in action.

"I'll ruin the ghost child! Ruin him! Ha-Ha!"

Had they been asleep for years, a few days, a couple hours, had they only blinked? Everyone groggily opened their eyes and tried to move their non-muscles. Once they were sitting up and waiting for the rest of their bodies to awaken, they took in their new surroundings.

The sky and everything below them was grey, a light almost cloudy white grey. Their bodies rested on a pathways of sorts which was dark grey and foggy like charcoal.

Eventually everyone was able to stand up and as Lancer tried to prepare what he was going to say first, some students started to speak aloud.

"Geez I had no idea that Fenton's head was so… blank," A dark-skinned jock, called Tyson, scoffed.

Sam, Tucker, and Valerie scowled at the jock's words.

"How is it that much of a surprise?" Dash replied. He grinned and shouted. "Hey Fentonio! We're going to find out all your embarrassing secrets!"

Of course he was met with silence.

"Ugh, it so dull and lifeless. Like the Goth freak," Paulina sighed. Tucker had to hold Sam back from lunging at the shallow girl.

"It could totally use some color," Star seconded.

"It's like he's brain-dead," A brown haired girl from the A-list, named Dinah, added last.

"Now now, everyone, enough." Lancer turned to face them. "We are only going to explore the outer emotions and memories. The outer layer of the onion that is the mind so to speak."

"If only it was that simple."

Everyone froze, recognizing the voice. They turned slowly to come face to face with Danny Fenton. He was wearing a long sleeved black shirt with a white oval in it's center. His jeans were black and his sneakers were black and white.

"Daniel? But how… There's not supposed to be anyone here, yet." Lancer expressed.

Danny smiled. "Well truth is our mind is a bit more complicated than that. I'll have to guide you out of here to avoid damage to our mind. We're going to be taking the roads and getting you guys out of here as safety and quickly as possible."

"What's with the new outfit?" Dash frowned.

Danny scowled slightly. "I can't say. It's not my place. I'm just the guide."

"There's nothing in the manual that talks about a guide through a persons mind," Lancer insisted again.

Danny sighed. "It's not like the manual in here. I was created after… I can't say. Maybe you'll understand later. Come on already, the first path we have to take is Joy's."

Lancer nodded and sighed in submission. "Alright, this device only enters the surface layers of emotion. You can lead us out."

Danny frowned and nodded. "Joy, Sorrow, and Anger, but like I said our mind is different so it's going to most likely not be that simple."

Lancer only frowned before Danny turned and started to walk off. Everyone started following after him, thought some weren't exactly happy about it. Danny had his hands resting behind his head when Sam and Tucker ran up to talk to the guide quietly.

After a few minutes of walking, the road they were on, disappeared and tapered off. Immediately people started talking and asking questions.

"The road stopped."

"What are we supposed to do?"

"Hello, Fentonail!?" Dash grumbled.

The Danny Guide turned around and sighed. "Calm down already. This just means that we've made it to his area. We just continue walking and we'll be in his 'room' so to speak."

The guide then walked towards the edge, making some of the students gasp before he vanished mid-stride. Sam and Tucker looked at each other before walking over and also disappearing. One by one the rest gathered enough courage to go on.

What they met on the other side was interesting to say the least.

There was a second Danny which was merely swinging. He had his feet planted on the wood plank of the swing itself and he was standing at full height. He was smiling at them and giddy about the simple action he was performing. He pumped his arms in the repetitive motion, unintentionally showing his not so stick like arms that were no longer hidden under a long sleeved shirt. This Danny was wearing jeans and his red converse with a bright yellow short-sleeved shirt. The swing set was sitting on a large circle of dark grey that was like the road, though some green grass did peak through.

"Hello Joy," Danny spoke up and smiled. "Having fun?"

Joy grinned goofily and nodded. "I remember when I was little I thought I could swing to the moon, just like the astronauts." He swung one more time and jumped before landing on the ground in front of the group.

Everyone was a bit surprised at the pure joy in the emotion's face. Most there couldn't help but smile back at him or notice his smile or just how bright his blue eyes really were.

"So you guys looking for the light at the end of the tunnel, so to speak?" Joy smiled brightly and walked across the room. "Danny… Have you told them it won't be easy to get out?"

Danny shrugged. "Sorta."

"What do you mean?" Lancer asked and rose his brows.

"Turns out we'll have to travel through deeper and more complex parts of our psyche to get you guys out and away from… Him. We'll be traveling through more than just the surface layers of Joy, Sorrow, and Anger."

Joy picked it up after that. "You'll meet The Expressions of Love, Paranoia and Self-Loathing, Revenge and Mercilessness, Courage and Fear, Selflessness and Selfishness… then the Memory Bank and hopefully home. It's a long route and a bit off the beaten path but if you can avoid Him, it'll be worth it."

Lancer froze. This was not supposed to be happening. They were only supposed to look at the surface, not dive down into every nook and cranny of Danny's mind! That was too much intrusion. He had only hoped to see if things in Danny's mind were balanced and perhaps a couple memories, no more.

"Wait a minute," Lancer said worriedly. "We aren't supposed to be going that deep."

Danny sighed. "We have no choice. We have to avoid Him."

"Who the heck is Him, Fenton?!" Dash growled.

Danny and Joy looked at each other and then the group. "You… don't want to know." They replied at the same time.

"Which way do we need to go next?" Sam asked and walked towards both Danny's.

Joy smiled brightly and put both hands on the girl's shoulders. "I'll show you all. I have to stay here. You and Tuck can keep them on track. I'm certain you'll all be fine. Positive!"

"Someone's optimistic," Tucker smiled.

Joy laughed. "It's what I'm for." Joy squeezed Sam's shoulder one more time and let go. Not even noticing the faint blush he'd caused to come to her face. Paulina and Star looked at each other in confusion when they finally caught a full glimpse of Joy's strong arms.

Joy walked over to a seemingly random spot on his circle and placed a hand on an invisible surface. A blue door formed. He turned to everyone. "This is Sorrow's room. He might not be as quick to get up and help you through the next door, but just keep bugging him a bit and he should tell Danny here where he's hidden his door." Joy then disappeared and reappeared on the swing, pumping his arms to gain height again.

Danny turned to the others, "Come on."

Everyone walked over to the door as Danny opening it and walked inside. The last sound they heard from Joy's room was the soft humming of some unknown song.

zz

Again there was nothing but a grey circle that everyone stood on. They glanced around until their eyes landed on a figure on the other side of the room. He was crouched low and drawn into the fetal position. He rocked slowly back and forth.

Everyone took in a breath. Even Dash suddenly felt a tinge of pity for Danny to see even a form of him in that sort of vulnerable state. It was kinda the opposite of the way Dash often saw him, because often Danny never gave up on anything. He wasn't one to submit easily.

Valerie immediately felt the strong urge to run over and comfort her friend, after all she'd given up their relationship just to protect him. She couldn't bare to see him like this.

"Sorrow?" Danny called out across the room and started to inch forwards. Lancer hummed to himself as a frown fixed itself across his face. The emotion was expected however; everyone knows sadness. Sam and Tucker simply looked depressed, knowing just how low their friend had been at times.

"Go away."

"Now Sorrow… I need to know where you're door is."

"What's the point? He'll find you. It's inevitable."

"No it's not. He will find us though if you don't at least point in the right direction."

Sorrow turned his head to looked at the group and they all caught a profile shot of Danny's tearstained face. The tears bubbled on the lower lashes and made his blue eyes even bluer. He was dressed much like Joy only his jeans and shoes were completely black, while his short-sleeves shirt was dark blue.

Lancer flinched at that and a few people started murmuring. Was the emotion of sadness supposed to look that bleak? Maybe Danny was dealing with depression of some kind. It was hard for everyone to look at the boy and see how hopeless he looked.

"They need your help."

Sorrow frowned and sniffed before glancing at the ground. After a couple minutes, he rose a shaky arm and pointed at a spot across the room.

Danny smiled. "Thank you."

Sorrow just shrugged and turned back to facing the invisible wall. His hands came up over his head and slipped through his raven locks.

"And I thought you could be depressing," Tucker murmured.

"Now's not the time, Tucker." Sam replied.

Everyone walked across the room as Danny's touch revealed a red door. As soon as Danny had opened the door they heard a voice.

"GET THE HELL OUT!"

Danny laughed nervously and motioned for everyone to come inside.

zz

The new room also had no props of any kind, like Sorrow's. In the middle of the room, eyeing them all hatefully was another Danny; his face twisted into an expression of hate that was foreign on the benign Danny Fenton's face. He wore a red version of the shirt the other two had worn, his blue jeans were ripped and torn up and his dark gray and white converse were scuffed.

"I told you… TO LEAVE NOW!"

Dash frowned and pushed Danny out of the way to march up to Anger. "What are you going to do about it, Fenturd? You don't get to boss me around like that, even in your dreams!"

Anger growled a low guttural growl before he grabbed Dash by the arms, spun and tossed him back at the group. Dash struck Kwan and his buddy Alroy, a red-head, who all ended up piled on the ground.

"What in the world!?" Mikey whimpered.

"How did Danny do that!?" Star exclaimed.

"GET OUT GET OUT GET OUT! I HATE YOU! I HATE YOU ALL!"

Danny sighed. "Anger, we need to take the stairs deeper into the conscious to avoid Him.

Anger huffed and crossed his arms as Dash, Kwan and Alroy tried to get up. Anger eyed the three furiously as they got back to their feet. Dash growled and charged again.

"No wait!" Danny cried out.

Anger only smiled before he locked his hands with Dash's. The slightly taller boy huffed in surprise and tried to maneuver Anger to throw him to the ground. Anger laughed before he turned and side kicked Dash in the gut, making him tumble back. Anger turned to Danny as Dash tried to get his lungs to work again.

"Just leave them for Him to take care of. They shouldn't have barged in here in the first place. It's their own DAMN FAULT!"

Danny rubbed his temples. "You know we can't do that."

Anger grumbled and stuck a thumb over his shoulder at a pink trap-door on the ground.

"Now, Get. Out."

"Of course." Danny nodded and they motioned for everyone to follow.

As Dash, Kwan and Alory eyed Anger with irritation as they passed. Anger snarled at them and they yelped before following behind Danny and the others. The rest of the group talked in low whispers, wondering how the emotion had so easily bettered Dash twice.

"I really don't know about this…" Lancer murmured. He could tell the trap-door most likely went deeper into Danny's psyche. These surface emotions were basic, simple. The rest would be well… more dynamic.

"I'm sorry but you're going to have to trust me, Mr. Lancer."

"Right." The teacher sighed.

Everyone went carefully one by one into the dark hole.

After they were gone, Anger's domain started to rumble.

"THEY AREN'T HERE YOU ANIMAL!"

The room rumbled again as though something was talking.

Anger smirked. "But they just left… so you aren't too far behind."

The rumbling stopped and Anger huffed as a punching bag appeared from grey wisps. The sound of the bag being pummeled echoed through the upper layer of Danny's consciousness.

So, do you like it? For a beginning to a short little revelation story?
