~Yukio's POV~

The following day I woke up and remembered that I had to clear out my desk. I turned over in my bed to find that Rin was gone. I sighed and decided to head to the cram school classroom first thing.

After I had seen the will, I had grabbed my pistols and ran, searching for Rin.

After several minutes of searching, I finally spotted a body with dark, navy blue hair walking into the forest, and I quickly chased after the figure, deep into the woods. I soon realized the person was Rin, and I grabbed his shoulders, spinning him around to face me.

"Rin! What are you doing, why-why did you write a will and say that you were dead!?" I tripped over my words consistently. Rin just smiled sadly.

"Nii-san, go back and live your life for the both of us. I have to go now." He hung his head, but I could still see the smile on his face.

"What are you talking about?! I'm not going to leave you to die, however you're gonna try to end your life or whatever. We're going home, right now!"

He just continued to smile. "If you let go, I'll go with you." He sighed breathlessly. I shook my head slightly.

"Promise?"

"Promise."

"Promise on the fact that we're twins?"

"Promise on the fact that we're twins."

I shook my head again and slowly removed my hands from his shoulders. As soon as I did so, he turned around and ran into a clearing with two stone beds.

The clearing was a wide space with 2 stone beds, about 10 feet apart. They were each 3 feet high, and one was longer then the other. Rin laid down on the longer one, and I tried to run into the clearing, but something stopped me, like a barrier. I continuously pounded against it. "Rin, get out of there!" He didn't answer, but a moment later, the clearing seemed to illuminate as a taller woman who seemed to be in her early 20's entered the clearing. She was dressed like a French maid and had long, purple pigtails that reached to her waist, half-lidded rectangular spectacles, dull, gray eyes, and long, sharp black nails. She slowly walked up to Rin and removed the fox earring from Rin's ear and placing it on the other stone bed, and picking up a small rock and approaching the stone bed from what I would assume to be the head.

"Kuro...sune..." Rin mumbled, staring at the earring. A small, childish voice eminated from the earring.

Kurosune will follow Rin to the end of time and beyond for infinity. Kurosune always loves Rin. The voice whimpered a little bit as the woman placed a white rose petal on top of the earring...

And smashed it with the rock. A moment later, the broken body of what seemed like a 9 year old girl with long, loose, black, thick hair and green eyes laid there, eyes wide and mouth slightly open. She had a plain white t-shirt and jean short shorts, bleeding heavily in several places.

I saw Rin squeeze his eyes shut and frown for a moment, before turning his head so that he faced the treetops and opened his eyes slowly, as the woman removed the petal - which was now completely soaked in blood - and put it inside a small, metal contained meant for tea leaves, and pushed some of the blood inside the container and sealed it, as it seemed to disappear. The entire stone table was now completely covered in blood as the body simply continued to lay there.

The woman then approached Rin, and I felt my eyes widen in fear. I began to shoot the barrier and throw holy water grenades at it, but nothing seemed to work. I called the other Exwires, who said they were on their way, and continued my attempts to get through the barrier.

"Rin, get out of there!" I screamed at the top of lungs, wanting him to get out... but he continued to lay there, as I saw his pupils become smaller in fear. The woman began to trace the underside of Rin's jawbone with the tip of her nail, until she was directly underneath his chin, and...

She shoved her nail upwards so that it went through the bottom of his mouth and through his tongue, just as the Exwires got there. Everything became hazy, amidst the screaming and the chanting and the stabbing and the shooting on out side of the barrier as we continued to try and break it.

The woman began to trace her nail, which was still shoved into his skin, down his middle, up until hip-level, when her hand changed course to go down one of his legs. Once it reached his shin, she removed her nail and placed it back at hip-level and did the other leg, placing a single rose petal at the bottom of his now split breastbone.

"RIN! NO!" I screamed, tears running down mine and everyone else's faces. The woman tapped Rin's sword expectantly, when blood began spurting from the line she had drawn, as if everything in his body was being ripped out. Blood soaked his clothes and the stone table and some of the floor. I felt my eyes widen in horror.

"NII-SAN!" I cried harder. Rin turned his head as his life slowly faded, and squeezed his eyes shut, wearing his signature happy-go-luck idiot grin. It was somehow comforting. "Go on and live your life for the both of us. Don't grieve." He slowly went limp, that grin still frozen on his face. I felt my eyes widen even more.

"NII-SAN!" The woman picked up the now blood-soaked petal into another tea leaf contained and put some of his blood inside of it and that one seemed to disappear as well, as the barrier fogged, the woman was gone, the bodies were gone, and all that was left were the bloody stone tables. The light slowly faded from the clearing.

I tried to run to the stone tables, but Bon and Shima held me down, tears running down their faces.

A week later, we held a funeral.

The clergymen came from the monastery, the entire class came, and they even brought the girl that Rin had helped earlier the day he found out he was a demon, after she found out that he had died. Obviously, she didn't know how he died.

I couldn't believe what I heard. There was a short and sweet service, but I stayed behind afterwards.

Rin was gone.

Rin was gone for good.

He's been dying this whole time.

And I never noticed.

But he said to move on.

He said not to grieve.

I don't think he'll be able to rest in peace unless I don't grieve.

And live out my life for the both of us.

I'm sure he's watching over all of us.

From where he is now.

Alongside Father Shiro.

I'm going to miss him, but I will try my best to live out his dying words.

He isn't really gone.

WOW... that felt so... desperate... I wanna die... See, what happened, I spent 4 hours writing this chapter, and it was like... at least 2,500 words... and then I accidentally closed the window... and I lost EVERYTHING... and I got so mad that I didn't have the patience to retype it, and I couldn't even remember how I typed it, so I just tried to stick to the plot. Welp, I guess this was the end.

Buuuut...

The Chain Reaction

Sequel to the Spiderweb

See, I'd hate myself if I left Rin dead and I already wrote a Prologue, so I'll post it Das Vedania!
