The final chapter!

9 months later

"Isn't she beautiful?" I said to Clint.

"She really is!" Clint replied, kissing our baby on the head.

"Scarlett Emma Romanoff-Barton. What a gorgeous name." Pepper said.

Everyone was currently around my hospital bed in the Avengers Tower.

"That's a shit name. It should have been a boy and you should have called it Tony." Stark said.

I rolled my eyes. "I would never call my son Tony."

"Well, what would you have called the baby if it was a boy?" Steve questioned.

Clint looked over at me and smiled. "We would have called it Phil."

"Well...that's cute." a man said, leaning on the doorframe.

"You bastard. Why didn't you tell us you were alive?" Clint said.

"I've been with some S.H.I.E.L.D agents. Mini Romanoff and Barton's."

"Aw...how cute." Stark said sarcastically.

"So when are you guys getting married then?" Steve asked us.

"Steve, you don't need to have a baby with someone to get married to them." Maria said leaning her head against Cap's shoulder and tapping his chest. "But...seriously...when is the wedding?"

Clint laughed, quite nervously, and said "I...er...I haven't asked her yet."

"Will you please just get married, so we can go wedding dress shopping." Pepper said.

"Look, we are taking our time. We don't need to get married to show how much we love each other." I said.

"Yeah, you do that enough already from your constant make-out sessions on the sofa." Tony said.

"Too much information Tony." Bruce said.

A week after

I was sitting in the kitchen, drinking some water, and felt a pair of arms wrap around my waist. Clint.

"Morning" he said and I leaned back into his shoulder.

"Morning." I replied and kissed him on the lips.

"Man, Scarlett was a nightmare to take care of last night. Thank goodness Maria was on hand to take over during the night. I interrupted her and Rogers kissing in their room though."

"I wonder when they are going to get married and have kids?"

"They will, but in which order will it be?" Clint asked.

"I think it will be the marriage and then the kids. Rogers is old fashioned like that."

"Do you think they've even had sex yet?"

"What?!" I shouted. I looked around and realised that I was a bit louder than I should've been.

"What?" I whispered loudly.

"It's a valid question." Clint said back with the same tone and volume.

I pondered over the possibility.

"Maybe they'll wait till after their married?"

"Perhaps. Now, what do you want for breakfast?"

Later that day, I went up to the roof in search for Clint.

He had been missing for the past couple of hours and I had checked all his regular hiding places.

The gym, our room, the babies room. Nowhere.

The lift opened up and I breathed in the fresh air. I smiled at the sight of Clint perched on the edge of the building.

"What are you doing up here?" I asked. He snapped his head around to face me.

He smiled. "Waiting for you."

"How did you know i'd come up."

"You'll always come back to me Tasha."

He looked at me, like if he looked away he would lose me forever.

"What's wrong Clint?" I asked.

"Nothing. Nothing's wrong." He came towards me and pushed the hair away from my face behind my ear.

"Natasha. The start of our lives weren't the best. It was the last thing from perfect. But...when I found you I knew that there was something I could change in you. Because we're not perfect. As individuals we are not perfect. But together...together we are perfect and everything seems to make sense and I can see straight and Natasha you complete me."

His hands glided down my arms until they met my hands.

"Tasha, you are the best thing that has ever happened to me and I don't want to live without you in my life."

He pulled a little box out of his pocket and went onto one knee.

"Natasha Romanoff," he said, opening the box to reveal a beautiful ring. "Will you marry me?"

My mouth fell open, but no air transferred through my lips.

I managed to find the only word that mattered.

"Yes."

"Yes?" he asked, not actually believing that what I said was true.

"Of course the answer is yes, idiot."

He placed the ring on my finger and came up to kiss my lips.

"I love you." I whispered against his lips.

"I love you too." he said back to me and we kissed once again.

We went downstairs to the other Avengers who were anxiously waiting.

"So...did you say yes?" Coulson asked.

I smiled and held up my hand. "Of course I did."

There was a series of whooping, cheering and a "Get in there Barton." from Stark.

I turned round to face the others, to watch them celebrate and Barton whispered in my ear "Your ledger is clear."

I smiled, because for the first time in my life, I felt like it was true.

My ledger is clear.

So that was the final chapter, I hope that you liked it. Chapters and stories will be updated very occasionally until the middle of June, because I have exams ;( But I shall try and update as often as I can. Thank you for reading this fanfiction to the end and goodbye :)
