I only want it to be the third person for young Percy so I can describe more things. I just don't think I can do the whole thing in the third person so only for little Percy it will be in the third person. I hope you enjoy the chapter that has been offically edited and combed through with fresh eyes.

Percy Jackson a young four-year-old sat in his room huddled on his bed listening to the fighting. The always went on like this, and it's been constantly getting worse. Although this fight was worse, it was about him. His mother Sally was furious with Gabe when she walked in finding out Gabe has been using her son to pleasure himself, "I want you out of this house!"

Percy could hear the slap of a hand making contact with Sally's cheek, "I am the man of this house! You can't treat me this way. He needs to be taught a lesson, he's stupid and is a waste of space and money!" Percy jumped when he heard a loud bang of something falling.

Percy ran as fast as his little feet could take him, "Momma!" Sally's eyes were open and unmoving, blood seeping into the carpet from her hitting her head on the corner of the wall from when Gabe pushed her.

"Get over here you little brat!" Percy cried out when Gabe wrapped his hand around his arm, the grip so tight Percy felt like his arm would snap at the pressure. "Stay in your room you little shit!" Gabe shoved Percy into his room making him trip over his own two feet. Percy was terrified, all he could think about was if his mother was going to be okay. She had to have been sleeping; she couldn't leave him. Not with the monster that lived in the house called Smelly Gabe. His so-called "lessons" made Percy feel empty and scared. He didn't even know what was truly happening, but he didn't like it. Gabe was a monster that stalked through Percy's house and nightmares.

**** The Crazy Line breaks are back! Ugh, I missed this and honestly, I keep cringing at my mistakes. How did you guys put up with my awful grammar? **

Percy sat in his room terrified as the heavy footsteps of Gabe coming towards Percy's room. Gabe hung up the phone after talking with the police, he was a great liar, and he knew how to cover his tracks. Sally despised that part of him when he was treating them like a family. Gabe slammed open Percy's door, smiling wide as he looked at the little boy who was terrified of him. Percy prepared himself for what was about to happen a whimper escaped from his trembling lips as Gabe raised his hand to slap Percy. Saved by the bell, someone rang the doorbell. "keep quiet you little shit. Otherwise, another lesson will be in store for you." Gabe retreated, putting on a façade.

An elderly woman, Mrs. Jones who was their sweet elderly neighbor who also worked at the candy shop that Sally did, "Hello, Gabe is Sally here?" Percy's head shot up, his favorite person outside of his mother was here. She would always give him extra candy when Sally brought him with her.

He could hear Gabe sniffle, "I just received a call from the police saying that they found her body, she was hit on the head, and it seems like a robbery gone wrong."

"Oh my god, I'm so sorry for your loss! How is Percy doing with this?"

"He's fine; he's taking a nap right now he doesn't understand what's happening."

Mrs. Jones nodded, "I think that is for the best, I will make sure I tell our boss. She will surely be missed."

"Thank you; I'm sorry for not calling sooner to let you know of this horrible news."

She waved her hand, "don't worry about it." When Mrs. Jones left Gabe came back, undoing his belt while looking at Percy with what could only be described as an evil smirk. Percy cried out when the belt made contact with his back.

TIME SKIP! TWO-MONTHS:

The beating and 'lessons' continued and happened almost every day. Percy felt like the world was against him, that he was a nothing and was worthless. He hoped that someone would hear his cries for help or yelling at Gabe to stop hurting him. Only that resulted in more beatings and being silent kept him safer. Today was no different, except Gabe had decided beatings were boring. Percy struggled as Gabe removed his clothing, "knock it off, or I will make this much worse for you!"

A loud bang on the door made Gabe stop, "This is the police! Open the door!"

"What the hell did you do? You worthless-" Gabe didn't get to finish his sentence as the front door was knocked down.

"Hands above your head and step away from the boy!" Gabe did what he was told, and Percy scrunched up into a fetal position. The other policeman walked over to Percy while the other put handcuffs on Gabe, "you have the right to remain silent, everything you say can and will be used in court against you." Gabe was dragged out of the room, his eyes with murderous intention looked at Percy one more time before he was gone.

"Hey there, I'm not going to hurt you. Let's get you dressed okay?" Percy looked at the policeman with fearful eyes but only nodded to him. "My name is Zack can you tell me your name?" Percy shook his head no, too scared to speak; it only made things worse for him. Zack slowly dug through Percy's drawers and pulled out pajama pants and a t-shirt. Percy pulled his clothes on and sniffled. Tears were still sliding down his now hollow cheeks. Gabe never fed him every day and if he did is was small amounts. "Okay let's get you out of here." Percy grabbed his stuffed bear named Mr. Blue.

Percy sat in the police station with Zack who gave him chips and water. He was looked at by a doctor and was given the full bill of health. Percy watched everything around him, everything was so new, and people smiled at him. A woman walked into the room smiling at Percy, "Hi there Percy; I am Ms. Jane. Can you tell me how old you are?" Percy held up four fingers, "wow four! I have a daughter who is four. Percy I'm going to take you to a home with a bunch of other kids. Would you like to make some friends?"

Percy missed his mother greatly; he never had friends. Percy nodded and held his arms up, Ms. Jane picked him up, thanking Zack for watching Percy while she was on her way. She put Percy in his car seat; he fell asleep to the sound and sway of the car. Jane carried Percy up to the door, he drooled on her shoulder, but she didn't mind. She knocked on the door, and Percy stirred and pulled Mr. Blue closer to his chest. The door opened, "Jane! It's so good to see you. Is this Perseus?"

"Hi Nina, yes, this is Percy. He hasn't spoken yet, but I'm sure with time he should get better. I have to go another case just came up."

The sun was just starting to set, and Nina pulled away from the door, "Jay, I need you to come down here please!"

A young teen with brown hair and brown eyes came up behind Nina, "what do you need?"

"This is your new roommate, Percy." Percy squirmed out of Jane's grip and walked inside the house.

Jay nods and reaches for Percy's hand. He shrinks away for a moment but slowly puts his hand in Jay's, "I'm Jay, it's nice to meet you, Percy." Percy nodded and only smiled.

"So, Percy what is your favorite color?" Jay asks, but Percy just looked at him and looked to Mr. Blue but didn't say anything. "You aren't going to answer me, are you?" Percy shook his head no. He smiles and helps Percy up the stairs. There were so many stairs!

"Here we are you will share with me, Jack, and Tyler." Percy looked around; the bed had clean sheets. Percy didn't remember the last time he had clean sheets he knew it was before his mother died. There are two other kids in the room playing with something he had never seen before.

"Hey, guys we have a new friend. This is Percy and he is four. Percy, can you stay here with Tyler and Jack?" Percy looked at them Tyler is blond with blue eyes and Jack has black hair and brown eyes. He looked back up to his new friend wishing he didn't have to leave but Percy nodded. "Okay, I will be right back." Then Jay leaves the room. Is this going to be my new home? Will Gabe come to find me I just know I am scared to death if he ever comes back to hurt me again, I want my momma back and to have her hold me and tell me a story, I want a family who loves me like momma did.
