I just finished reading the book and watching the movie (for the thousandth time) and as always, was just wanting more. Now I don't have any other fanfics to use as an inspiration to a story plot so this is just going to be a little snapshot to add to the end of the movie. While I do enjoy the book a lot, this is solely based off of the movie. Please let me know if this is absolute crap or if you see any mistakes that need fixing.

Walking hand in hand down the road and past the cafe, Leo was finally happy again. It was the first time in months that he had felt anything like this. It had been a little under a year since he let her go, but everytime he wanted her back he just reminded himself that she was happier where she was now, with people that she remembered.

This, having her here with him, smiling up at him, was like the dream that haunted him every night since the accident was finally becoming a reality. Paige had found herself again, she wasn't just living the life that her parents wanted for her, blinded by their lies. She was happy, in the city and sculpting again, just this time she had her parents with her. And maybe it was better this way.

To find out that she had been talking to Sonya was a surprise at least. Knowing that she cared about their relationship, knowing what they had before it was all ripped from them by some weird fate of God made him happy, very happy. Then and there, walking through the snow, Leo knew that he had to try again. Had to try to win the love of his life back.

He hoped that this time it might be easier. This time around she knew who she was and what she wanted. She knew a little bit more about him and she was much more open minded. She knew the truth about her past, and Leo hoped that a part, if only a very tiny part, of her already cared for him.

"I came across the menu today," Paige said suddenly. She didn't have to explain to Leo because he knew exactly what she was talking about. "I was looking for some of my old art stuff and I just happened upon it," she paused. "It was actually why I was headed this way. Seeing it reminded me of you telling me that we used to go to the cafe and get hot chocolate when it snowed when we were on our first date. I guess I was kind of hoping to run into you." Her voice faded off at the end of the sentence, as if she didn't mean to say that much and the blush on her face as she looked down confirmed it.

"Well, I have a confession to make as well. Every time that it snowed, I would go and get a hot chocolate, just reminiscing I guess," Leo admitted with about as much confidence as he had when they had their first conversation outside of the DMV as they discussed RPP zone compatibility.

"Leo," Paige started, "I am so sorry for how things went down. I've thought over that night thousands of times and every possible thing that I could have done to make it turn out differently," by now she had stopped walking and had turned to face him although she was still not looking at him. "You are an amazing guy and I wish that I knew what I had done before the accident to make you fall in love with me….. because, because I would do it again," she said, finally looking into his eyes.

Leo just let out a chuckle before he closed his eyes and leaned down to touch his forehead to hers. "You wouldn't be you if you weren't exactly how you are now. I fell in love with you just as you are and I never stopped loving you, in all of your forms, just like I vowed."
