It was mother's day and I forgot to upload this. Oops.
But here is the final chapter, short and sweet.
Chapter 25: Epilogues
The sea breeze gently wafted past Elewynn and caused her long hair to blow against the wind. The smell of the salty ocean and the minty freshness of the trees mixed to create a scent that was inescapable.
Elewynn stood on the cliffside of the northern coast looking out towards the sea. On the sea Elewynn could see boats depart in search for food. It seemed that more boats and more people sailed the ocean with each passing day.
"The days of a quiet life is all but history now," Elewynn thought to herself.
Her home was completely destroyed and the only action to take was to rebuild. The Roman Legion's chain of command was shattered leaving behind their numerous amounts of supplies and support personal. Some of the Romans had decided to return home but the others that carried their entire life with them had nothing to return and decided to stay.
The families who were brought along to support Roman army were primarily of trade and played an integral role in building a new home.
However, there was still another issue. The Roman heading south to return home brought tales of how the viking threat was defeated. The other northern settler who had fled south during the viking invasion returned north only to find their homes destroyed.
With their homes gone the settlers decided to travel to the rumoured village that miraculously defeated the vikings and dragons. Safety in numbers was the common ideology as more and more people came looking for a new place to build their homes. The growing population would become a problem as their food supplies dwindled.
Under the leadership of her father, Chief Geiroor decided to move the people further north towards the sea. Only the sea could provide the food necessary to sustain the growing population. And now it has been nearly three months without a single viking or dragon sighting. With a thriving populations, new homes were being built everyday. Elewynn's new home was on the cusp of becoming a new nation.
"Elewynn there you are!" A voice yelled from behind and breaking Elewynn away from her thoughts, "What are you doing up here?" Chief Geiroor asked as he stood next to her daughter on the coast.
From below and on the sea, the first set of fishing boats that were recently built were making their way out further out to the sea and Elewynn continued to watch as she spoke to her father.
"There's so many people now, so many things that I have to do but don't know how to. How will I be able to keep my promise to Hiccup?" Elewynn asked her father as she clutched onto the Gem of Ice with her hand.
Chief Geiroor knew very well how her daughter felt. For he had those very same thoughts growing up as the son of the previous chief. Those same feeling of doubt was still present to this day. This new growing nation, his decisions would ultimately be passed onto his daughter.
"One day you be leading all of these people and it will be a great responsibility, far greater than what I had to deal with as Chief. But I know you can do it Elewynn. Hiccup also had faith in you. That was why he entrusted that Gem for you to protect. Hiccup and I both know you will grow up to become a great leader someday," Chief Geiroor answered her daughter.
Elewynn holding onto the Gem of Ice felt a sudden warmth that filled her body. Somewhere deep in her soul, the Gem of Ice was trying to tell her that the vikings would someday come back. But unlike the first time they would not be riding dragons and this time she wouldn't be a helpless little girl, Elewynn knew she would ready.
For as long as she kept her promise to Hiccup and protected the Gem, Hiccup would continue to watch over and protect her. Looking up to her father with a brave smile, Elewynn nodded in agreement to her father's words. She had renewed her ambitions and energy as she remembered her promise to Hiccup. She would protect the Gem of Ice with her life and the gem would bless her village. And maybe someday Hiccup would return to her and see the brand new home that she built.
OoOoO
In a forest with trees that were old but were still younger than its greater surrounding area. The ground was marked with a people that used to live here. Old broken wooden wall with moss growing on them and piles of wooden debris littered the area. Old piles of bronze and iron was scattered around the area, too old for it be of any value. What was once a growing village was all but history.
It was another beautiful day with the sun shining down and gentle white clouds that floated along to the whims of the wind. Stepping forward out of the shadows of the trees and into the light were Hiccup, Elsa and Anna as they walked to the center where the trees were sparse. At the heart of these wooden ruins were two wooden swords.
Much like everything else, moss grew on the sword. Fortunately it seemed that the wooden swords were preserved in such a way that they would be impervious to rotting.
At the forefront of the wooden swords was rock buried into the ground with a simply carved message written onto the rock face.
In loving memory of a promise long ago. I stand guard of the past and the future.
Stepping forward Anna bent down to lay a bouquet of flowers on top of the rock. A moment of silence as the group paid their respects. Minutes went by as Anna finally stood up from her kneeled position.
"You know the deeds of our great grandmother is taught to every child in Arendelle," Anna told Hiccup as she stood next to him, "Building the kingdom of Arendelle to what it is today, Queen Elewynn the First rallied the north in defence against the second viking invasion,"
"Despite all of her greatness, she is the only one not to be buried in the royal mausoleum," Elsa added as she turned to Hiccup with a knowing look, "I guess we all know why now."
"Elewynn rescued me when I was in need. And it was partly my fault that her village was destroyed. I'm just glad that the Gem of Ice was able to help her rebuild a new home." Hiccup stated.
Elsa and Anna raised theirs heads and looked at Hiccup. The two smiling queens of Arendelle were the shining example and proof of Elewynn's accomplishment. For all of his mistakes, Hiccup certainly didn't regret meeting Elewynn.
An early morning of flying and a later morning of prayer and rest, midday had arrived and the threesome, along with their dragons, found a clearing to have lunch. The dragons, having had some time away from their riders had already found lunch and were now lazily resting on the ground. A red and white patterned blanket layed on the ground with a picnic basket in the middle.
"You know I'm still not happy with the fact that I had somehow forgotten about you," Anna said to Hiccup, as everyone gathered to unpack the the food.
"They were dreams Anna, of course you won't remember them," Hiccup said.
"You feel bad? I had two dreams with Hiccup, how do you think I feel?" Elsa added.
"Despite not remembering anything about the dream, ever since that night I stopped hating you Elsa," Anna said, "Sure I was still upset that you were avoiding me but I felt like in that dream we shared a magical connection that let me know that you still loved me as a sister. That incredible feeling of love that I knew was there but was still hidden away from me." Anna said.
"Because of this I never gave up on you Elsa. And it was finally proven right when your love saved my life on top of that lake many years ago. And now we finally know why I was able to hold so strong for so many years from just a single dream. I might have hated Elsa forever but it was thanks to you Hiccup that saved us,"
"Your sisterly bond wasn't the only thing that was saved," Hiccup added, "My soul was asleep for so long, and it was your cries Elsa that awakened me. I would have gone straight back to sleep after but then the two of you asked me to come join you in Arendelle.
"Elewynn saved your life and you in turn saved hers. And when you helped us, I couldn't help but want to help you in anyway that I could. You were alone for so long and i thought that you maybe you would like to be with us," Elsa explained
"Why didn't you just come with instead of waiting for so many years?" Anna accused with an pouty face at Hiccup.
"The two of you were still so young. Both you needed time to grow on your own and reconnect your sisterly love with each other. I would only be a hindrance and crutch to your own growth. I certainly think that I was right with my decision seeing as how the both of you have grown into to such beautiful and strong women," Hiccup said to which the two queens of Arendelle blushed.
"And now that you are here Hiccup, we are practically unstoppable." Anna said.
"We have Hiccup the dragon king, Elsa the snow queen of Arendelle and me as the newly crowned second queen of Arendelle. Together the three of us can do anything! Our bright new future is about to begin. Anna cheered as she thrusted up her glass of wine into the air.
Red wine flew into the air and splashed everyone. Hiccup who was sitting closest to Anna endured the brunt of the attack.
"Anna" Hiccup yelled out as Anna's drink splashed on top of him. Red wine dripped down from his hair and shirt and reddened their once pristine blanket.
"Oh sorry Hiccup!" Anna said as she quickly grabbed a cloth to help.
Elsa sighed knowingly to Anna's classic over excitement and clumsiness as she watched Anna frantically try to clean Hiccup while her future husband declared that he was fine.
"You should have known better than to sit so close to Anna when she is drinking," Elsa said laughing despite how Hiccup and Anna returned a less than pleased looks at Elsa's nagging.
With Anna so close, Hiccup had a sudden flash of deviousness on how to get back at Elsa.
"You know Anna, there was one thing that you said that was wrong," Hiccup whispered to Anna to which Anna stopped her napkined hands and gave a confused look. Hiccup casually scooted himself closer Elsa and snaked his arm behind Elsa. Unprepared by Hiccup's touch, Elsa let out a cry of surprise as Hiccup grabbed Elsa by the shoulder and pulled her closer to his chest.
"A bright isn't about to begin, it already has." Hiccup said simply.
Anna's eyes bore into Elsa, curious as to what Hiccup meant and why he would draw the attention to her older sister.
Feeling the attacking gaze of her sister, Elsa couldn't help but unconsciously place a protective hand over her torso. A flush of crimson coloured her cheeks in embarrassment as she was left unprepared by Hiccup's sudden announcement to her sister.
From her standing position, Anna looked down to Elsa and Hiccup. The pairing intertwined closely together with hands together and Elsa resting on Hiccup chest. Combined with the deep green forest backdrop it truly was a picturesque depiction of two perfect lovebirds. The perfect painting was ruined by the only movement within the frame. The subtle movement of Elsa's hand lit up like a flashing light to the eyes of Anna.
'Oh my gosh! Really Elsa!" Anna yelled with knowing recognition. "Really Elsa" Anna yelled once more but seemed incapable of saying the exact word. The single most exciting word that would be carried out throughout all of Arendelle.
"Anna you are embarrassing me," Elsa said and reached her hand out to try to pull her sister back to the ground but it was already too late. Filled with excitement for Hiccup and Elsa, Anna slipped out of Elsa's reaching grasp as she hopped all around around the picnic blanket and between the dragons.
"Oh my gosh we have to go tell everyone," Anna yelled out. Hopping onto her Triple Strike the young rider and dragon pair took off into the sky."
"Anna!" Elsa cried out in surprise, horrified by the prospect of Anna shouting it the skies as she flew over Arendelle, "look at what you have done Hiccup!"
"What's the problem? Everyone will know eventually," Hiccup said faking confusion. Elsa was less than pleased at Hiccup as she painfully flicked Hiccup in the ear.
"I need to go stop Anna," Elsa yelled back as she called for her own dragon. Kicking up dust into the air, Elsa and her Nadder took to the skies as well to chase after Anna and her dragon.
Cleaning up the leftovers, Hiccup casually packed everything up onto Toothless' back and reflected on the situation he was in. "It's hard to imagine how I got here but I certainly don't regret it," Hiccup thought to himself as Toothless came up to his side. His loyal best friend who stood by his side after all these years.
"What do you think bud, did we give them a big enough head start?" Hiccup asked. Toothless warbled in agreement as he stretched his wings ready to go all out. Hopping onto his best friend's back, the viking and dragon of old took to the skies chasing after Anna and Elsa.

Welp that its folks. The culminations of all my work over the years is finally done. When I first started to write this fic I had two goals in mind. To create a complete fic of significant length and to update on a consistent schedule. The latter goal failed horribly but I'm still glad I was able to finish. As always I appreciate any feedback and I will update this page to answer any questions that you may have.
Questions:
From Mark Andrew: Where's Kristoff and Olaf?
Kristoff and Olaf are fine and are off doing their own thing. They were unnecessary to the plot and would be a distraction if I have dedicated any time to them. For example Anna was an important character through her connection to Elsa and served as the motivation for Elsa to meet Hiccup. That is why I gave Anna a little story arc of growing into her own as the second queen of Arendelle to give her a bit more characterization.
What are your future plans?
As for what I have planned for the future, I will be moving onto Harry Potter. This time however I will be taking a significant break as I want to update on a bi weekly basis with no breaks which would involve pretty much writing the whole thing.
If you had made it this far
