My first one-shot. Hope you like it. Please review! I'm not RIck Riordan.

"Nico?" Will asked, turning to face him.

"Hmm?" a sleepy Nico responded.

"What would you think about kids?"

"Kids?"

"Yeah. I was wondering if maybe we should move to the next level. Raising kids."

"I dunno."

"Please?"

"Ugh. Fine. You're so annoying."

"And you're so cute." A faint blush appeared on Nico's cheek.

"No I'm not," he protested. Nico turned to face the tv screen, his bangs expertly hiding his blush.

"Come on, Nico. We're going to be late for our appointment." Will sighed as his husband trudged to the closet to put on his shoes. The arrived at the orphanage 15 minutes late thanks to Nico's laziness and New York traffic.

Will knocked on the orphanage door and it was opened by a young woman. Nico was in the car, getting the papers. The woman beckoned for Will to enter. She led him to a park behind the building. "H-hello, sir. I take it you are ?"

"Yes I am."

"Welcome to my orphanage. I'm . That's Ms. not Mrs."

"Alright then." Nico appeared then, taking Will's hand. blinked. Nico saw a little girl in the line behind her roll her eyes. Nico gave her a look that said, I know right? The girl giggled and nodded. Like had never seen a gay couple before.

"W-well then. Here are the kids between the ages 4 and 6 like you requested. I'll let you talk to them while I check over your papers." left them to visit with the dozen boys and girls in the line.

"Why don't you guys go play and we'll come talk to you one by one?" Will asked and the kids happily went to go play. Will went to talk to a little girl on the monkey bars while Nico went to see a young boy on the jungle gym.

After a while, Nico noticed that the girl from before was sitting under a tree, drawing pictures on the dirt. The girl kept fingering the pendant on her necklace. "Don't mind her," a little boy said to him.

"Why not?"

"She's weird. Once, someone ripped her necklace off as a joke, and she screamed at them for an hour. She never takes that necklace off. Ever. She also doesn't talk much. She spends a lot of time by herself. She's scary." This only fueled Nico's desire to talk to her.

Nico sat down next to girl, relaxing in the shadows. She looked up at him and then back down at her drawing. "What're you drawing?"

"A song."

"A song?"

"Music makes me feel things. So I draw my feelings in the dirt."

"Why don't you play with the other kids?"

"I don't fit in with them. They think I'm strange. Mostly they seem scared of me. I am strange. I just appeared at the orphanage one day. I wasn't there and then I was crying in a crib. All I had on me was this pendant. I don't know why I'm telling you this. It's not like you're going to adopt me. You probably want one of those happy kids. I'm just driving you away. Maybe you should just leave."

"It's not weird to want to be alone sometimes. I used to be exactly like you. Come on, let's introduce you to Will. I'm Nico." Nico said, brushing a strand of black hair out of her eyes.

"Ok. I'm Bianca." Nico's steps faltered.

"Well, Bianca. You're never going to be alone again. I promise. And this one won't be broken." Nico said, leading her over to Will.
