Chapter 2: 501st

Time: 1431 Hours

Date: May 21st, 1945

Location: Pescara Air Base, Romagna

Wing Commander Minna and Squadron Leader Sakamoto took a good look at the three newcomers.

The girl in the middle couldn't have been older than 12, but she had four silver stars on the right shoulder of her white uniform indicating her rank as a 4-star General, causing them to instantly identify her as the General known as Narumi Miyamoto they have spoken with on the phone. She had short black hair that went down to her shoulders and unusual amber colored eyes. She was wearing a sky blue shirt underneath her jacket if the small amount of blue they were able to see meant anything, and a blue short skirt along with her white uniform which was covering the tops of her Strikers, the likes of which they have never seen before. Her Strikers consisted of two leg units with larger than normal horizontal and tail stabilizers, and a pair of large, broad swept wings, each of which had three pods of some sort that seemed to be the engines if the lack of propellers on the bottoms of the Strikers and strange sound the pods were making meant anything. She was also holding a strange rifle that didn't have any kind of gun barrel or muzzle; instead, it was mostly a rectangular prism with several large patches of white on it, and it was outfitted with multiple antennas as well. There was also a large, rotating black dome with a single white stripe strapped to her back. Another thing they noticed was the strange white headpiece that she was wearing, which covered both of her ears and was emitting a green image of some sort in front of her eyes.

The girl on their left however looked like she was 25 years old, causing the two to think she should have retired several years ago. She had tannish white hair that went down to her lower back, as well as a pair of grey eyes. Unlike the first girl, her jacket was a tanned green color, which was apparently on top of a green shirt of a slightly different color. She too was wearing a blue skirt, but hers didn't cover up as much as the first girl's due to the sheer difference in height, and she was wearing a white headpiece that seemed to be a different type than the General's. Her Strikers were also unlike anything the two have ever seen; the undersides were painted a light shade of grey, and the upper sides were painted in a mix of both light grey and a grey of a darker tint. Instead of propellers, there were two nozzles at the bottoms of the units, which were giving off a strange hum like the General's Strikers. The wings were of a different shape, but were still swept backwards, and they also had external racks, each of which held what looked like a more advanced version of the rockets Sanya uses with her Fliegerhammer. The horizontal and vertical stabilizers were also of a different shape as well, and slightly above the center of the undersides were what looked like air intakes. On the sides of each of the flight legs were three numbers outlined in dark grey, "013", and behind the numbers were a pair of smaller canards like those on the experimental Liberion XP-55 Ascender and Fuso's prototype J7W1 Shinden that was still in development.

The girl on the right appeared to be around 17 years old. She had ash grey hair that went down to her mid-back as well as a pair of electric blue eyes that seemed to have a glow of their own. Her jacket was the same color as the second girl's was, but she was wearing a white shirt underneath it. On her head was a white headpiece that was exactly like the one the second girl was wearing. She too was wearing a blue skirt, and hers covered around a third of her thighs, with just a few millimeters between the hem and the tops of her Strikers. Her Striker Units, like the first two, were also of a design they had never seen before; the paint scheme was similar to the Striker Units of the second girl, but that was the only visible similarity. The air intakes on the undersides of the Strikers were of a different shape, and the wings, horizontal, and vertical stabilizers, which they noted were angled, were also of a different design. Another difference were the nozzles; instead of being circular, they were polygonal, with one polygon on top and another on the bottom with a gap in between. These Strikers also lacked the canards that that second girl's Strikers possessed.

What all three Strikers had in common were the markings on the tail; three grey-outlined arrowheads arranged in a triangular pattern were above that they assumed was the squadron insignia. The insignia itself was of a strange design, consisting of a blue and black Möbius strip on top of a light blue… they could only assume it was an image of a planet viewed from the top, with a white plane-shaped object flying through the strip, leaving two white contrails in its wake. Underneath the round portion of the insignia was a blue ribbon with the words "Mobius – 118", and beneath the insignia as a whole were the letters "ISAF" in a dark grey color.

"Which one of you two is the Wing Commander?" The smallest of the three newcomers, Narumi, asked in a professional tone that clearly stated "no funny business."

Although surprised at the apparent General's seemingly young age, Minna was the first to answer. "Th-That would be me… but… are you really a General?" She asked before she could stop herself.

The 139 centimeter tall General's right eyebrow twitched several times before she let out a sigh. "I know where this is going, and I get this a lot." Narumi then looked at Minna in the eyes. "For your information, Wing Commander, I'm 20."

That caused the five Strike Witches present to look at Narumi with wide eyes. "T-T-Twenty?! But you're so small!" Perrine accidentally let out.

That earned several more eye twitches and a growl from Narumi, but thankfully Erica decided to intervene before any blood started flying. "Yes; despite her being… height-challenged, she is a General, and our commander."

"I… see… and who might you be?" Mio asked.

"The name's Erica Klinsmann. I'm a Colonel affiliated with the Independent State Allied Force's 118th Tactical Fighter Group, the Mobius Squadron." Erica introduced herself.

This clued the five Strike Witches present as to what ISAF possibly stood for. Minna then turned towards the other girl, who had remained silent until now. "And who might you be?"

"Call sign: Mobius 1." The girl with ash grey hair replied in a stoic tone, unnerving the Karlslander and Fusoan.

Erica decided to speak up. "Can we please continue this somewhere else? I'm pretty sure General Miyamoto still has questions for you, Wing Commander." Narumi nodded upon hearing this.

Despite looking a bit uncertain for a moment, Minna nodded. "I have some questions for her as well, so I don't see why not."

"Very well. Klinsmann, Mobius, with me." Narumi ordered before looking at Minna and Mio. "No offense, but I don't exactly trust you girls yet. But before we go inside, we'd better take these off first. Ladies, disengage your Strikers." The General ordered.

What the five Strike Witches saw happen next blew their minds; the Striker Units that the three girls, as well as the General's strange rifle and back-mounted disk, all glowed brightly before apparently disappearing from existence, leaving their mostly bare legs to see as they dropped a few inches onto the ground.

Narumi was confused at the looks the five were giving them. "What?"

Minna was the first to speak up. "Wh-Wh-Wh-What… was that…?"

"I can answer that in a bit. Now are we going inside or what?"

Although Minna now had even more questions for the General, she gestured for the four to follow and led them into the base.

Mio turned her attention to the three remaining girls. "You three should rest up for now. I'm going to help Minna." With that, she turned around and walked off.

Perrine, Yoshika, and Lynette looked at each other uncertainly.

Inside her office, Minna walked over to her desk and sat down. "You three may have a seat."

Erica and Narumi each sat down on one of the three chairs in front of the Wing Commander's desk, but Mobius remained standing and just stared at the Wing Commander. Seeing this, the General sighed. "Mobius, you may sit."

"Yes, ma'am." She responded, pulling out the third chair and taking a seat while keeping her gaze focused on the Wing Commander.

That caused Minna to sweat a little as she saw Mobius keep her stare focused on her. Seeing that Mio was just now walking in, she put that thought to the side for now and decided to begin. "First things first; where are you three from?"

Erica decided to answer this one. "I got this one, General." She then turned towards the Wing Commander and Squadron Leader. "We're assigned to Allenfort Air Base on Newfield Island. But what the hell is Romagna? Can't say I've ever heard of it, so what's it like?"

The two were surprised at this. "You've… never heard of Romagna?" Minna asked, before the first part finally registered. "Wait a minute; what's Newfield Island? Is it a Britannian or a Liberion island base?"

Narumi and Erica quirked an eyebrow at the strange names. However, before they could ask about them, Mobius surprisingly beat them to it. "Elaborate. What do you mean by "Britannian" and "Liberion"?"

The two looked at the three newcomers incredulously. "Wait… you've never heard of Britannia or Liberion, either?" Minna asked in her confusion.

Narumi's eyes narrowed as her mind began to piece together the situation she and the Mobius Squadron found themselves in. "Do you have a map of the world? There's something I have to confirm."

Erica's eyes widened; she's seen and read enough sci-fi movies and novels to quickly figure out what the General's hypothesis was.

Although confused by such an odd request, Minna complied and opened up one of the drawers in her desk. Sifting through the contents, she closed the drawer a few moments later and handed Narumi a large, folded piece of paper. "Here."

"Thanks." Narumi said as she took the paper and unfolded it. She only had to give it a quick glance before she noticed something terribly wrong.

The map was completely different from the one she was used to seeing. On it, she saw the names of countries like Liberion, Karlsland, Gallia, Britannia, Orussia, Suomus, Fuso, and so on.

She stared at the map with wide eyes. "Oh, you've got to be shitting me…"

Minna and Mio looked confused. "…Is something wrong?" The Fusojin asked.

"… Is this really the map of this world…?" Narumi asked as the truth of the current situation finally hit home.

The usage of the last two words were immediately noticed by Minna. "What do you mean by 'this world'?"

The Usean dug into one of her pockets and pulled out her Samsung Galaxy Note 4, the software of which she had customized to her fitting. Engaging the device out of sleep mode, Mio and Minna watched as Narumi tapped on the strange black device a few times before turning it around. "This is what the map should look like." She answered.

The two Strike Witches took a look at map on the strange device and immediately knew that it was completely different from theirs. On it, they saw the names Osea, Ustio, Belka, Sapin, Aurelia, Leasath, Yuktobania, Emmeria, Estovakia, Usea, Erusea, San Salvacion, Amber, Ugellas, North Point, and so on. Also, the shapes of the four main continents were completely off as well. The two looked at Narumi with eyes wide in shock. "Is… Is this a joke?" The Karlslander asked.

"I wish it was… but it isn't." The General answered.

"Hold on a minute… you aren't saying…" Erica K. began.

"I am." Narumi finished. "How it happened, I don't have a damn clue, but that electromagnetic storm… flung us to another reality."

Boredom.

Boredom, boredom, boredom, boredom, and even more boredom. That was what 24 year old Generalleutnant Adolfine Galland was feeling at the moment as she looked over and signed yet more paperwork dealing with deployments of the Allied Witch Corps across the Eastern Front against the Neuroi in the hopes of one day recapturing her homeland, Karlsland, from the alien menace.

'It's the same thing day after day.' She mused to herself as she looked over another document, this one detailing the equipment that the newly-formed Jagdverband 44 (or JV44), which was under her direct command. Paying more attention to the document's details, she smiled. "Well, I guess Ursula's making more progress in the development of those fancy new 'Jet Strikers' than I thought she was if the first prototype is just about ready for its maiden flight. Who knows; maybe I'll have a chance to try one of them for myself."

Signing the document, she made to reach for another one when the phone on her desk rang. 'Praise the Gods; a distraction from this torture!' She internally cheered as she reached for the phone.

It was well-known by everyone at the Neue Karlsland Technisch Ministerium that Adolfine Galland was NOT a fan of the torture known as paperwork.

Picking up the phone, she answered the call. "Hello? This is Generalleutnant Adolfine Galland. Who am I speaking to?"

"Ah, umm… Generalleutnant? It's me, Wing Commander Wilcke." She heard the voice of Minna respond.

"Ah, Minna, it's been only a week since we last talked to each other. How goes managing the 501st? Are there any problems at all?"

"Well… there's been a… complication." Minna answered hesitantly.

That caused the 24 year old Karlslander to blink. "What kind of… complication?"

"A complication with… many complications, ma'am." She heard Minna answer after a moment's hesitation.

Galland's eyes narrowed. "I'm listening…"

For the next hour, Adolfine Galland listened as Minna explained in as much detail as she could about three apparent newcomers known as General Narumi Miyamoto, Erica Klinsmann, and the girl only known as Mobius. She also listened to the names of the countries that composed of this other world. The kicker was the date at which the four came from; October 19th, 2006, which was just slightly more than 61 years off from the current date.

The fact that they had their own Jet Strikers was the icing on the cake.

Adolfine remained silent for the next minute, trying to process what she had just learned. "…I don't have time for jokes, Wing Commander."

"…You have no idea how badly I wish this was a joke." Said Wing Commander answered. "But there's something else that scares me. They were never trained to kill Neuroi, since the Neuroi don't exist in the world that they came from. But…"

"What do you mean 'but'? If they weren't trained to deal with the Neuroi, then what were they trained to do?" The Generalleutnant asked.

"They were trained… to kill other Witches."

The phone nearly slipped from Adolfine's hands, her eyes wide in horror at what she had just heard. They were trained to do WHAT?!

"Also, their commanding officer says that she would like to talk to you face to face, if you have the time…"

Now that took her by surprise, making her momentarily forget what she had learned a moment ago. The commander of this Mobius Squadron, General Narumi Miyamoto if she remembered correctly, actually wanted to speak to her face to face. Although it indeed sounded like an interesting request, she still had plenty of work to do… that is, until she took another look at the document that detailed Ursula's progress with the first jet prototype. A small grin formed on her lips as she hatched up a simple yet clever plan to get her away from the torturous paperwork… at least for a few days. But first, she had to make sure this wasn't a prank, despite knowing that Minna wasn't that kind of person. "Can I speak to this 'General'?"

There was silence on the phone for a couple of seconds before she got a response, although the voice was completely different. "I assume that you're this Generalleutnant Adolfine Galland I was told about?"

Adolfine was momentarily surprised at the sudden change in voice and the fact that this General was apparently speaking to her, she was quick to respond. "I am. And I assume that you're this General Narumi Miyamoto I was told about?"

"I am." She heard the General reply back. "I take it the Wing Commander has told you everything she knows?"

"She did." By now, Adolfine recalled what Minna had said what they were trained do, and she shuddered as she asked this crucial question. "But… is it true? Were you really trained… to kill other Witches?"

"We were." Her heart sank after hearing Narumi's answer, all hopes of this being a prank dashed. "But I never said that we particularly enjoyed doing such a thing; I would rather keep the bloodshed down to a minimum or eliminate it if at all possible, but that doesn't mean we won't shoot if given a good reason to."

That caused Adolfine to unconsciously breathe a sigh of relief, because for her that meant two things; one, although they were trained to kill, they don't enjoy doing so, and would rather keep the bloodshed down to a minimum if possible. And two; the only time they did kill was when they were give a damn good reason to do so. Hold on a minute…

"If… If that's true, then how many have you… killed?" She hesitated for a moment when asking this, still trying to come to terms with the fact that three Witches were trained to kill other Witches.

"… Far too many for my liking." Was the answer she received.

Adolfine's heart sank yet again, getting the hint. "I-I see…" She decided to change the subject. "Didn't you say that you wanted to talk to me face to face?"

"I did, and the reason is because I want to hear about this… Second Neuroi War, if I'm right, from your perspective as the highest-ranking Witch among the… Allied Forces, if I recall correctly." She heard Narumi answer.

"Yes, you're correct on both accounts." The Generalleutnant said back, assuring the General that she was correct. "I believe I can put aside some time to meet you face to face, but I want something in exchange."

"… What is it that you want?" She heard the girl on the other end of the line ask.

"You and the girls under your command have Jet Strikers, right? And you have knowledge on jet engines in general, correct?" Adolfine asked.

"… You have a prototype that's either complete or nearing completion, and you want my opinion on the engines you've built, right?" Narumi asked.

Adolfine's eyes widened in shock; how the hell did she know about that?! And more importantly, how did she know what she wanted to hear?! "Y-Y-Yes… but how…?"

"It wasn't that hard to figure out." The General answered. "The fact that you questioned me about my knowledge of jets, as well as the fact that you wanted to know if I had any knowledge on the subject both gave away that you possess a prototype, and the fact that you wanted my opinion on it."

That girl was smart… very smart, if she could figure all that out in such a short amount of time. "I… I see… yes; you would be correct on both accounts." Galland replied.

There was silence on the phone for a few seconds. "… Alright, deal. Narumi gave her answer.

The Generalleutnant took another quick look at the document detailing Ursula's progress with the first prototype and estimated the time it would take for it to be completed. "I should be there in around a week, two weeks at the latest."

"Very well. I'll wait until then." The General answered. "Good day, Generalleutnant." After that, she heard the distinct sound of someone hanging up the phone on their end, before all she heard was silence.

Sighing to herself, she hung up the phone and began to think about what just happened. After a minute of silence, she picked up the phone again and dialed the number of the head in the R&D sector. "Hello? This is Generalleutnant Adolfine Galland. I need to speak to Ursula Hartmann right away."

Time: 1749 Hours

Date: May 21st, 1945

Location: Pescara Air Base, Romagna

In the briefing room, nine of the eleven Strike Witches were seated and waiting for the arrival of the Wing Commander and Squadron Leader. Six of them were wondering why they were called to the briefing room, while the other three, Yoshika, Lynette, and Perrine, had a faint idea what was going on.

Their thoughts were proven correct when Minna and Mio walked into the room, closely followed by the members of the Mobius Squadron the three had brought to the base several hours prior.

The three new faces were immediately noticed by the other six Witches. "Hey, look at that." Shirley started.

"Newcomers? Didn't expect any rookies, especially since the 501st was reformed only five days ago…" Trude continued.

"Eh~? Wonder what they're like?" Erica H. finished the train of thought.

Lucchini and Eila, however, were eying the rather large breasts the oldest of the three newcomers was sporting, the two giggling perversely to themselves. Sanya only looked at the three newcomers sleepily.

The five walked up to the podium at the front of the semi-circular room and turned around to face them. "Everyone, thank you for gathering. Today, we have three… umm… acquaintances, who will temporarily be staying with us for the time being." Minna said, before looking at the three members of the Mobius Squadron.

Shirley cocked an eyebrow. "'Temporary'? What do you mean by that, and who are they, anyway?"

Narumi took that as her cue to step forward. "The name's Narumi Miyamoto, 4-star General of the Independent State Allied Forces and commanding officer of the 118th Tactical Fighter Group, the Mobius Squadron."

That shocked the other six Strike Witches who had just now learned who she was. "A General?! How can a pipsqueak like you be a General?!" Eila shouted.

Narumi's right eyebrow began twitching dangerously. "I'm twenty, you twit!"

Again, the other six were shocked; that tiny little thing was twenty years old?! "EEEEHHH?! Twenty?! But you're so small!" Erica H. blurted out.

The petite General's hands started clenching up, something that Erica K. knew by now was a sure sign of danger. Stepping forward, she placed a hand on Narumi's shoulder to help calm her down before any violence – and by extension, bloodshed – broke out. "I can assure you of two things. One; she a General and our commander. And two; yes, she is, in fact, twenty." She said to the Witches present.

"And who are you supposed to be?" Trude asked.

"Shouldn't you all introduce yourselves first?" Erica K. countered.

Although caught off-guard, Trude realized that she had indeed yet to introduce herself. "My name is Gertrud Barkhorn, Flight Lieutenant of the 501st Joint Fighter Wing."

Erica K. nodded. "My turn. My name is Colonel Erica Klinsmann, and I'm a member of the 118th Tactical Fighter Group, the Mobius Squadron, which is affiliated with the Independent State Allied Forces."

Erica H. perked up. "Your name's Erica? So is mine!"

Erica K. cocked an eyebrow. "Is that so? And what's your full name?"

"Erica Hartmann!"

"I see. And who are the others?"

Eila stood up. "Hi there. The name's Eila Ilmatar Juutilainen, and this," Here, she pointed at the now sleeping form of Sanya. "Is Sanya V. Litvyak."

"Yo! The names Charlotte E. Yeager, but you can call me Shirley!" Shirley said, before placing a hand on Lucchini's left shoulder. "And this is Francesca Lucchini."

"Ciao!" The girl responded in her natural language, causing the two humans of the Mobius Squadron to blink.

'Sapian? Or was that this Romagnan that the Wing Commander told us about?' Erica K. thought to herself.

Erica H. grinned before looking at the grey-haired girl. "And who are you?"

The silent girl looked at Erica H. "Mobius."

The six Witches sweated slightly at the stare the girl, Mobius, was giving them. Narumi sighed, having expected the members of the 501st to be unnerved by the combat cyborg's demeanor.

It was at that point that Erica K. noticed that one of the Witches disappeared. "Hey, where'd the-" She didn't get to finish as she felt her assets being groped from behind, causing her to yelp in surprise.

"Oooohh~! These are big! They're almost as big as-" Lucchini never got a chance to finish.

Erica K., angry at the little pervert, spun around and delivered a harsh backhand strike at the side of the smaller girl's torso then followed up with a palm strike at the girl's now-exposed back, driving her into the wall. Not finished with her just yet, she grabbed Lucchini by the collar of her shirt and kicked her hard enough to send her to the opposite side of the room.

The Strike Witches looked on in horror. "Lucchini!" Shirley yelled, worried about her best friend.

"Get over here!" The Belkan yelled as she summoned Lævateinn and pointed it at the Romagnan Witch. "Schlangeform!" The single-edged magical sword suddenly extended in segments, revealing that it was in fact a chain sword as it shot across the room and wrapped around Lucchini's waist. With a sharp yank, Erica K. reeled Lucchini back in and grabbed the collar of the girl's shirt, holding her up so that she was face-to-face with the pissed off Belkan. "Listen closely, you perverted little pezzo di merda*, because I am not going to repeat myself twice: You try that again, and I'll add you as just another mark to my tally… do I make myself clear?" The last part was dripping with her killing intent.

Lucchini, battered from the beating and still bleeding from cuts caused by the snake sword still constricting her, could only nod in terror.

"Klinsmann!" Narumi's voice was like a sharp, loud bang in the room, cutting into the tension that was rapidly building in the room. "Let her go and stand down!"

Erica K. glanced at her commanding officer out of her peripheral vision before her gaze turned back to the Romagnan. "…Consider yourself lucky, bitch. But if you so much as even think of doing that again…" She let the threat linger in the air, even as she dragged a thumb across her throat in a gesture that was known throughout just about every single universe.

Lucchini was petrified, now fully understanding that she had picked the wrong Witch to grope and had subsequently earned her wrath.

Shirley, however, was livid at seeing her best friend get hurt. "How dare you!" She yelled, whipping out her pistol and taking aim at the Belkan.

However, this earned the response of Mobius bringing out her quad-barreled 150mm Gatling cannon from the HC imbedded in her forehead and took aim directly at the Liberion, spinning up the barrels to their optimum firing speed with an ominous mechanical whine. "Confirm: Friend or Foe?" The normally silent girl asked in a flat tone that was downright terrifying, her eyes narrowed as she stared at her current target with unblinking eyes which actually flared for a brief moment with a distinct "CHOOOM" sound.

The sudden appearance of the ridiculously large weapon caught all of the 501st off-guard. Shirley, who recognized the weapon as a type of Gatling gun, was even more shocked at the weapon's super heavy tank-sized caliber. But her shock turned to pure horror when the enormous rotary cannon was aimed directly at her face and began spinning at a rate so fast the barrels blurred out of existence, indicating it was ready to fire at a moment's notice… and the way the grey haired girl's trigger finger was resting on the trigger itself meant that moment could occur within the blink of an eye.

"Mobius!" Once again, the General's voice made itself known. "Disengage and stand down!"

The eyes of the combat cyborg shifted over to the General for a brief moment before settling back on the Liberion, making sure that the potential hostile didn't try anything funny. After a few moments, she deemed the orange haired Witch as no threat, and slowed down the rotation speed of the barrels.

But that didn't mean she wasn't going to disarm; after all, the Liberion still had her pistol out.

The room was silent save for the slowed rotation of the massive Gatling cannon for at least another fifteen seconds before Minna worked up the nerves to speak again. "Yeager… stand down."

"You too, Mobius." Narumi followed up.

The two shared a glance at their respective commanders before Shirley cautiously holstered her pistol. Mobius didn't comply until the Liberion's hand was away from her weapon, after which she stopped the spinning of the gun's barrels and dismissed the weapon.

Silence once again fell upon the room, this time lasting two full minutes as Mobius stared down the members of the 501st who were at their seats in the briefing room, watching for any sudden movements.

It was Narumi who broke the silence. "…I think it's best if we continue this later." This was directed more at herself than the 501st. She turned to the other members of the 118th, noting that Erica K. still had the Romagnan in Lævateinn's grip. "Let her go, Klinsmann. Don't waste your time with her."

"…As you wish." The Belkan replied after a moment's hesitation. The magic chain sword unraveled, unceremoniously dropping the shell-shocked Lucchini onto the hardwood floor as it retracted back into its basic zweihandler form before Erica K. dismissed the enchanted weapon.

The General turned towards Minna. "We'll continue this later." Turning towards Mobius and Erica K., she continued, "Erica, Mobius, on me. We'll continue this another time."

"Acknowledged." Mobius replied without missing a beat, creeping out several of the 501st with her quick-yet-stoic response.

"Fine." The Belkan replied, keeping her death glare on the terrified Romagnan for a few moments before the trio walked over to the door.

"Hold it!"

The three members of the Mobius Squadron turned towards the voice coming face to face with Gertrud Barkhorn, who was giving Erica K. a hard glare. "What the hell did you mean by 'just another mark on your tally'?!"

Narumi's glare matched the younger-yet-taller Karlslander's. "You really want to know? Fine, ask Minna about it; better yet, she can show you." She turned towards the aforementioned Witch once more. "I'll be in the hangar if you need me." With those final words, the three Witches of the Mobius Squadron walked out of the room.

Silence once again fell upon the room as everyone else turned towards the Wing Commander with questioning looks, bar one Sakamoto. "What was she talking about, Wilcke?" Shirley asked hesitantly.

It took the redheaded Karlslander a few moments to respond, pulling out a small glowing blue crystal from the pocket of her uniform shirt and stared at it with wide eyes. "She… she means this really has…?"

Eila cocked an eyebrow. "What are you talking about? And what's that?"

Seeing Minna's hesitance, Mio elected to answer as she grabbed the crystal. "The General called this a Memory Crystal, something that can store memories for later viewing."

"Oh? And what's stored in that one?"

Minna's eyes narrowed ever so slightly as she glanced at the crystal. "In the General's own words, 'the first sortie of Operation Katina'."

A/N: FINALLY! That one took ages to get just right, and real life kept getting in the way... and holy crap! I didn't know that many people were wanting a crossover like this one. I'll do my best not to disappoint!

As you all can plainly see, the 501st are about to get a rude awakening, and a gory (SPOILER!) reminder as to why their war with the Neuroi can be considered a stroke of good luck. Also, I'll be including a bit more info on the three members of the Mobius Squadron as well in the third chapter, which will include their full arsenal.

And yes; that was not a mistake on the caliber of the Gatling gun Mobius pulled out. That's her primary anti-naval/bunker buster cannon designed by her creators to take out the Aegir Fleet (which she did so in less than 10 minutes). The reason she pulled it out here instead of a smaller weapon more appropriate to the size of the target is because she was also given knowledge about psychological warfare, and made a snap-decision that THAT would have a greater chance of making Shirley stand down (she was given the order to not kill any of the Witches unless given no choice "off-screen").

Until next time, folks! Sky EXE., out.
