Days passed slowly since they arrived at the laboratory. They busied themselves with video games and mock idol activities as they waited for the cure. They were confident that the people would be able to create the cure in time but of course, it is not easy so they also knew that it would take a lot of time. The scientists reported their progress to them every day in hopes to cheer them up more and also thanked the every day for delivering the vials.
"Good news!" Yu swung open the door to the room without a second thought. He had a beaming smile on his face… or well, you can say that his whole face is beaming with happiness. The others perked up. They weren't doing anything. In fact, they were just planning on what to do for the day. They talked about going back to the Kira Company and see if they could be of any help there.
"The cure… it's done! We're going to release it later!" He continued, the smile never leaving his face. "It's in gas form so it's going to be very easy to cure everyone in Japan!" He then waited for a reaction from the others.
It took them maybe a minute or two to even process what they said. They were finally finished. Their friends would finally be back to them. Kei, Nico, Marcos, Maki and Silver would be back. Honoka was the first to shout, "Hooray!" And the others simply followed. Joy overflowed the room with their cheers. Even the usually calm A-Rise cheered with them. The world would finally be back to normal. No more bloodthirsty zombies, no more need to carry weapons around, and there would be momentary peace from the zombies. Their long awaited perfect ending is finally near and they were happy for that.
"Okay, settle down guys." Ayumi said as she entered their view. "It's being pumped out right now so it's going to take a few hours for the population of this town and we've already contacted the government for jetplanes to release this to the entirety of Japan." She told them but the smile on her face told them that she was excited for this too.
"Alright then, we'll go and check the progress after a few hours. We kinda knew who you guys are and we know your descriptions thanks to Tsubasa-san." Yu said. "So we're going to find your friends who… er, turned here."
"And as for Kei, I'll contact the laboratory about him. They still trust us somewhat so I can extract some information from them." Ayumi assured them. "Just wait here and we'll be back with the results in a few hours."
"Thank you very much." They all said in unison as they stood up and bowed.
Ayumi dismissed it with a wave of her hand. "No, no. We should be thanking you guys. If not for your delivery, then we wouldn't have made the cure." She said as they all rose up. "See you guys later." She said before she and Yu left.
They all sat back down. "So we can see Maki-chan and Nico-chan!" Honoka exclaimed. "Oh and Kei-kun, Marcos and Silver." She continued, not leaving their newer friends out.
"And go to school." Umi added but instead of receiving the backlash of people not wanting to go to school, she receives a wave of approval and this, of course, pleased her.
"We also get to perform again." Hanayo pointed out with a meek smile.
"I'm super excited for this nya~!" Rin exclaimed. "Performing onstage again and going around school is fun nya~!"
Yu began his search. The cure has finally been spread through the town and the jets are coming to this town soon so they have to clear it up before then. He took out the portraits of the two girls. They seemed to be a fan favorite among the school idol group Muse. As for the Silver, he had a picture lying in the girl's phones mostly because he was with them when they were in school. As for Marcos, he only had a sketch of the boy but it seemed to be pretty accurate so that's fine as well.
There was a fog that covered the town and searching was harder than normal. It was a pain that the cure had to be like this, obscuring his sight. He had to cover his nose and mouth with a handkerchief too since it smelled… frankly, it smelled horrible to the nose of a non-infected. He knew this place, memorized it, but the fog made it hard for even him to navigate through.
"Ah, there it is." Yu said as he arrived at the apartment complex. According to what he heard, Marcos and NIco were the ones who died… or well turned here. He entered and the fog seemed to have toned down a bit. He continued forward and saw bodies on the floor. He checked every single one of them. They were alive and their torn skin was slowly recovering. He smiled. "Success. And now my main objective." He muttered before standing up and then heading forward.
His eyes scanned every room, observing every single unconscious body there. Some didn't seem to be lucky as they were eaten by their fellow zombies. The scientist didn't flinch at these sight though as he has experimented on humans as well, as sad as that information is. He heard soft crying from somewhere and headed there.
He slid open the door and his eyes brightened up at the sight of the girl there. Her black hair was a mess and she had her knees pushed up to her chest as she silently sobbed. Her clothes were visibly torn and she seemed tired. He walked to her and placed a hand on her shoulder. Her head raised up to meet his eyes. "Welcome back to the land of the living kid." He said.
"How? Who…"
"I'll explain everything later friend." Yu said before standing up and extending his hand. "For now, let's get you back."
The others waited inside the room for the news. Some had become impatient but they had to wait nonetheless or else the researchers would scold them repeatedly.
"Say, when are they going to let us know about the outside world?" Honoka asked, her voice obviously depicting her boredom.
"The fog outside was pretty thick so…" Nozomi pointed out. "They might be having trouble with finding anything through it."
"Not necessarily." Came a voice as the door opened. Yu stood there, a confident look on his face. "I have my results and Ayumi should be coming here soon enough."
"Ah, Yu!" Rin exclaimed as she stood up pretty quickly. "So, have you found them?" She continued.
"Yeah." Yu replied and then he stood aside and revealed what was behind him.
Nico stood there with a blanket around her. Her clothes seemed to have been torn while she was infected.
"Nico!" They all exclaimed before charging to the third year and nearly tackling her to a hug. "You're alright!" "Thank goodness, you're back!"
"You guys are really…" Nico started before she started to cry as she hugged her friends. Once they finally got a good look at her, her eyepatch was gone and so she had her eyes closed for that.
"So we are the others?" Eri asked as they all calmed down.
Nico looked at Yu with tears in her eyes. The latter sighed and asked, "So I'll do it after all?" The raven haired girl nodded. The scientist faced them and took a deep breath. "Marcos is dead." He said bluntly. "As for Silver and Maki, I arranged transport for them. They didn't turn back even after inhaling the cure but they weren't conscious either. I'm afraid they might never turn back and die after." He said. For him the best way to give out bad news is to say it bluntly without any sugar coating. No use in having them being confused right?
But it didn't seem to work. They were in a state of shock and Nico even looked away. Suddenly Ayumi barged in, a cellphone in her hand and her face somber. "Kei… Kei didn't make it. Soon after his injection and observation, he passed away." She said.
Now… They all broke down. Not only did their new friends disappear from their sights just after a few days, they even lost Maki. The lovable tsundere first year who composed all their songs. No matter what they could do, they couldn't stop crying. Yukiho and Arisa were crying with them. Despite not being close to any of the four, they were still friends nonetheless. As for A-Rise, they simply stayed quiet, silently praying for the soul of their departed friends and acquaintances. Yu and Ayumi stayed quiet and looked down. "We're sorry." Ayumi said.
"There's nothing to be sorry for Ayumi-san." Tsubasa said as she walked to them with the rest of her group. "But for now, I think it's best to leave them alone. Not only did they lose one of their groupmates, they also lost the ones who helped them since the start of the outbreak." She continued and then walked out and was soon followed by the others.
They hugged each other in despair as they sobbed. Nozomi finally mustered her voice and spoke, "What happened to Marcos?" Of course she would be the first to ask. She was, after all, the one who spoke to him frequently almost every night since both couldn't sleep at all without sharing a talk over a cup of water, if lucky, coffee. "How did he…"
Then, Nico began her tale. "We were surrounded and took refuge in a room in the apartment complex. We already knew what would become of us and so we said our goodbyes to each other and wished each other good luck so we could be found and then cured." She then took a deep breath. "I have vague memories while I was a zombie. I walked around aimlessly but I had Marcos in my sights." She then closed her eyes as if to recollect her memories. "He wasn't a zombie, he was human." They gasped. "He was immune this whole time and so the zombies quickly filed towards him to finally dispose of him. I, even as a zombie, managed to stop myself from going to him but I still remember his scent, it smelled so tasty as if chicken was before me. I retained my will at least and I don't know how. Maybe it was because I was just newly turned. He tried to run away but ended up falling through the window and landing head-first onto the ground from the second floor and so we found that he was dead. The scent disappeared, as if dead people aren't appetizing but they surrounded him nonetheless."
"So that's why I never saw him while we were heading to the scientist school." Eri said before looking at Nico. "Were you with Yu when he found Maki and Silver?"
"Regrettably, yes." Nico said before gripping her arms. "They didn't look like others. Their skins were peeled off and I saw their…" She swallowed the vomit rising from her stomach. "Their innards were actually hanging out. I don't know if they'll even survive. I really, highly doubt it."
Eri took a hold of Kotori's arm who was the closest to her at the time. She looked down, guilt finally showed in her face. She was the only one who survived among the three and there she believed that they will come back to her as soon as they get the cure but it wasn't the case at all. She got her hopes up for nothing. It hurt her; she didn't like it. "Maki, Silver… I'm so sorry. I should've…" She started, eyes tearing up again. The others exchanged worried looks before trying to console the crying blonde but sadly nothing could even stop her from crying.
"Eri-chi." Nozomi called out as she grabbed both of Eri's shoulders. The blonde looked up to her byzantium haired girl but her eyes were dull, not with tears but because she truly broke, more than the others. "They wouldn't want you to be wallowing in guilt. I know that they would want you to live happily. You were the only one who survived? Then take that chance and live your life to the fullest. Trust in us Eri-chi." She said, tone gentle and convincing. The others nodded after her speech but then she lowered her voice so only she and Eri could hear. "Or at least trust in me. I mean, he died too you know." She said with a sad smile. Eri nodded at her last statement indicating that she maybe only agreed to trust in Nozomi who knew her pain of losing such a close friend who was made in such a short time. Nozomi took a deep breath before her mischevious grin that was present in her times in the school. "If you don't cheer up then I'll have to punish you with my Washi Washi attack!"
Eri stared at her, dumbfounded by her sudden change in attitude. Moments passed and her best friend's grin slowly fading from her lips. "Or maybe I shouldn't have said that huh?" The others laughed at that and even Eri cracked a smile.
"Oh yeah, Nico-chan, what will we do with your eye?" Rin asked as she turned her attention to the girl wrapped in a blanket.
Nico placed her hand on her chin as she started to think. "Maybe I'll get an eye surgery for it? No, I don't have enough money for that. Guess I'll just wear an eyepatch for my whole life." She said with a shrug.
"B-But I thought you wanted to become an idol." Hanayo said.
"As long as I can support my family, then I'm good with anything. Especially now that I've sustained an injury, I might not fit in the idol industry." Nico said before her eyes widened. "My family… I hope they're alright."
"I'm sure they are Nico-chan." Honoka said.
"More importantly, what will we do now onee-chan?" Yukiho asked. "Mom and Dad won't be around anymore since they can't be cured." She continued and the ginger only realized that.
"Oh right!" Honoka began to think. "I suppose we can still continue the bake shop or even get some hired help for that while we're in school. But we're both at the school… Mou! I don't know!" She exclaimed before ruffling her hair out of frustration.
"We'll help you two." Eri offered. "I mean my grandmother is in Russia after all and my parents are out of the country because of business reasons so we still have money flowing in from my family so I think it'll be alright."
"I doubt school is going to be up after this incident." Umi pointed out. "The government still have to quell the conflicts that will surely arise after this. I just hope everything settles down soon." The blue haired woman continued.
The door was slightly cracked open giving the others an opportunity to listen in. Ayumi sighed in relief. "Good thing they got over it quickly huh?" She said.
"I doubt it." Erena said, eyes looking away. "They'll probably cry 'till they sleep. It's another thing completely if you're alone and you have sadness in your heart."
Anju placed a hand on Erena's shoulder. "Erena-chan…"
"Don't worry, I'll be fine after a night." She reassured her princess-like friend. They all turned at the sound of commotion near the doors. Even the people inside started to file out.
"What's happening?" Honoka asked.
"Ah, it's Silver and Maki." Yu said before grabbing Ayumi's hand. "Come on, that's our cue to leave. We have to run tests immediately so we can find out what went wrong with the serum." Ayumi nodded and they bid farewell to them and ran to the labs.
They watched as the stretchers were brought in with Maki and Silver's hopefully unconscious but alive bodies which lay in them. Their eyes widened. No wonder NIco felt the urge to vomit at remembering what she saw with the two.
Silver's face was practically torn off and some of the meat was hanging out. As for his body, his clothes has been slightly torn up and his skin had patches of meat that seemed to already have rotten. Near his stomach was a hole where his intestines were actually outside and was carelessly placed on top of him..
Maki was not in a better condition than Silver. In fact, she seemed to have been in a worse condition than the silver haired man. Her skin were literally in tatters like her clothes. The only thing that remained intact with her was her bionic leg but she seemed to have been played with. She, too, has innards popping out.
They pressed their hands on their mouths as they felt the vomit rise to their throats at the sight of this. They observed them as they were wheeled in and noticed something.
Silver's eyes were on them… which was odd considering he shouldn't be able to move. But then his mouth started to move as well. Considering the damage on his face, it was a miracle that he could move it. From what they can see, he mouthed something… and Eri's eyes widened as she understood what he said.
"I'm happy… that you made it." Was what he mouthed before his eyes closed.
Slowly, they all picked up what they said but it was still a shock that he could still move. That means that there was a chance for him to be alive right? And so would Maki. It was a great relief but of course, it still wasn't sure so they shouldn't get their hopes up lest they want to be hurt in the end.
"Alright, we're going to go back to my father's company. Want to come with us?" Tsubasa asked as she looked at Muse.
Honoka shook her head. "I think that all of us want to be here when they announce what happened to Maki-chan and Silver and whether they're alive or not so we're going to stay here."
"I see. Well, see you when we do then." Tsubasa said before she, Erena and Anju left the premises. They might've been his friends for a long time, or at least Erena was, but seriously, they'd rather not know about it so suddenly. They already carry heavy hearts because of his death so they'd rather not make it heavier if possible.
"You don't think he's going to survive are you?" Anju asked as they walked down the street, surrounded by the fog but it couldn't drown out the noise of the jets who had just landed to equip the cure on them.
Tsubasa shook her head. "It's almost impossible really. No matter how I look at it, it's just impossible. Don't you think so too Erena?"
The violet haired woman nodded. "I agree. As sad as it may be, he's not going to make it." She then stopped and had a sad smile on her face. "I didn't know losing someone close to you could hurt this much really." She said with a sigh and continued walking with the two. "I can't believe Silver and Asahina-san could move on from their parents' deaths that quickly."
"They were strong people." Anju said. "You should be as well Erena-chan. I doubt Sil wants to see you hurting because of his death. In fact, I doubt he wants to see any of us, including Muse, to be sad." She said, using her nickname for the male. She was never one to call him by it when they were with someone else mostly because she wants it to be kept between them only. After all, when someone hears another call their mutual friend by a nickname, they would unconsciously follow and call him that as well.
"I know but it's sort of impossible don't you think?" Erena asked. "Don't you two feel sad about his death?"
"Indeed." Tsubasa said. "He was a good friend and supporter. I'll miss him greatly."
"He liked our performances didn't he?" Anju asked.
"Yeah, why?" Erena replied.
"When everything's back to normal, why don't we do a live show to honor him? I mean, if he's watching us, then maybe he'll see it and be happy with it." The princess-like girl suggested with a bright smile.
"That isn't such a bad idea." Tsubasa said before nodding, coming to a conclusion with her decision-making. "Let's do it."
"I agree." Erena said. "He'll be happy wherever he is."
A week has passed and the cure has been administered in most of Japan and the government is already taking steps to count the bodies, both alive and dead, and prepared task forces to help the ones who got cured. They still didn't know the effects it has on different people but so far, it has been positive with only the two high schoolers encountering problems in the regeneration process.
As for the Muse, Yukiho and Arisa, they've been helping around the facility. They have grown to trust the people there and they were allowed to explore every room to prove that they had nothing to hide. They won't, however, allow them to enter the room where Silver and Maki are. They claim that they are performing surgery and researching about what was in them that created such a reaction.
Today, they were on break and was lounging out in the room that they were let in when they first arrived. Nico had acquired a new eyepatch, a black one similar to that of her old one but this one was way more comfortable. Yu and Ayumi entered the room, a regular visit so they weren't surprised. "Hey Yu, Ayumi!" Honoka greeted with her ever vibrant smile.
"Hello there." Ayumi said with a small wave but it seemed that her smile was forced but this wasn't noticed by the majority of the people there besides Umi and Nozomi.
"Is something the matter Ayumi-san?" Umi asked.
Ayumi took a deep breath and spoke, "I have bad news." Her voice quivered, a bad sign for some bad news.
Yu placed his hand on her shoulder, knowing that his fellow scientist wasn't really good at these things. The one with Kei was a miracle for her to even utter a word of it. He looked at them intently before shaking his head. "They're gone, dead." He said in simple words but everyone knew what it meant. They were silent. Despite expecting this result, they were still pretty shocked. After all, seeing the last light of hope disappear from your eyes can be pretty surprising.
"What? Why?" Nico asked, standing up suddenly which made her chair fall back to the ground. Her voice and the audible thud of the chair cut through the silence in the air like knife on butter.
"There was a foreign substance in their blood which prevented them from healing. Yes, they were cured but their skin wasn't and so they weren't able to live. We tried searching for a way to make them live but they were dead before we knew it." Yu explained.
"You mean the serum?" Eri asked.
"What serum?" Ayumi replied.
"There was a serum injected into them." The blonde explained. "Back when we were with the other lab, Silver and Maki both had injured limbs but when we got there, they were healed up. They explained that the scientists gave them a prototype serum to heal it quickly and it was successful. They assured us that there weren't any side effects aside from the excruciating pain they felt from the headaches in the first day."
"I see." Ayumi said. "It's a good thing their bodies didn't reject the serum right away and killed them. The first day of headaches was probably their body trying to get used to it." She then sighed. "It was a bad thing that they were injected with it though."
"Because it hindered the cure?" Nozomi asked.
"No, it was because they were bound to die anyway." Yu continued for her and was replied with shock on the girls' faces. "That's because the serum was made here. It was still in its development stages but we released the formula for the serum for them to test it out. I just didn't know that they tested it on humans." He said. "We tested it here as well, with rats. At first, they had their bones regenerated and everything but… soon, they died because their immune systems failed."
"So even if they were cured, they wouldn't have lasted." Ayumi continued. "I'm sorry for your losses." She said with a small bow.
Nico let out a bitter chuckle. "We already knew yet we got our hopes up… stupid." She muttered to herself before taking the chair that fell down, stood it upright, sat on it and just looked down and it seems that tears fell from her eyes. "I didn't even get to say anything to her…"
Hanayo patted the older girl's back but could not offer any words to soothe her pain. After some time, the scientists finally decided to speak again.
"Well since the results are out and most of Japan has been cured, you guys are allowed to leave." Yu said. "Go back to your families, live a normal life and such. The tunnel has been cleared out so it's going to be fine."
"The president is already making rounds and announcements so everything will be in top shape by next month. The Special Forces and some of the scientists will be helping him as well to put the people at ease." Ayumi said. "Maybe we'll see you some time."
Eri nodded. "We'll try to settle in. We don't have transport though."
"We'll arrange that." Yu said before exiting and then calling someone to prepare the van. "You're all good to go. It was nice meeting you all."
"You too." Then they all got together and even Nico had recovered and they all bowed. "Thank you for taking care of us."
"Welcome." Ayumi and Yu said. "Anyway, this place is a secret alright?" The former said.
"Right!"
"Alright, now go on kids." Yu said. "See 'ya when I see 'ya." He said and the girls nodded.
"Bye!"
"Take care!"
The van was going on a normal pace, the scenery of the slightly destroyed city passing by and they simply watched. Multiple soldiers were already there assisting the people who were confused about what was happening. It seems that some of the people didn't have any memories of being 'infected' unlike Nico who was able to relay her visions when she was in such a condition.
The van slowed to a stop before the driver told them to get off for he could not proceed any further. They obliged and bid farewell to the driver before proceeding into the city on foot. Children were on one side, altogether in one group with multiple adults guarding them. Tents were pitched so the people could take shelter there while they try to find their family or friends. Multiple medics were on the scene, taking in sick people who have lived through the outbreak but was unfortunate enough to develop a sickness.
The group reached Otonokizaka and they stopped at the entrance. Multiple students of their campus had pitched tents there, seeming to think that this would be the first place their parents would look for once they were all cured.
"Ah look it's Muse!"
"They're back!"
The students cheered in chorus as they found their idol group and the members of their Student Council. It had been quite chaotic at first since their president and vice president were not present but they managed to organize themselves pretty well. Two girls walked towards the SC members and asked for the help which they obliged to do. There was a lack of soldiers in the area which brought great suspicion to Eri. Was the government running out of forces to distribute? Then how about other places?
"Don't worry President." One of the girls said. "The soldiers came by to ask us if we needed help but we were fine. They just gave us the necessary equipments and some provisions and then left to help the others."
"I see." Eri said. "Well I think it's time to restore the world we used to know little by little." She muttered.
"It'll be easy this time around." Nozomi said. "Once everything settles down, I'm sure it'll be back to normal. We can go around studying again like nothing happened."
"We can't act like nothing happened Nozomi." Eri said. "It's just that we'll be putting it in the past now." Then they heard some sobbing and they looked around to see Kotori being comforted by both Honoka and Umi. "It's not hard to guess why…"
"Headmistress Minami didn't make it?" Nozomi asked the two girls.
One of them shook her head. "We found her in the headmaster's office, a gun on her hand and blood."
"Suicide?" Nozomi said. "That's odd." They proceeded to the group and Honoka opened her mouth to explain but Eri gestured for her to not do so since they already know what happened.
"There, there, Kotori-chan. It'll be alright. You can stay with us too." Honoka said, trying to comfort her ash-blonde haired friend who was crying her eyes out. "Come on…" She said, losing the happiness she once had when they finally came back from the laboratory.
Kotori did start to calm down though. She understood that Honoka knew this feeling but it was different. Unlike her best friend, she didn't have any siblings. She didn't have a single family left. It was only her and her mother these days what with her father leaving them when she was young. It hurt her so much that it felt like there was this hollow feeling inside of her, as if there was a hole in her heart that cannot be replaced. The love given by a parent cannot be easily duplicated by a friend. "I…" She wanted to be alone. "I'll…" She just wanted to say it so she could think about what to do next without people trying to say that it will be alright. "I want to…"
"Come on." Nico interjected as she started tugging Honoka and Umi away from her. "It's best if we leave her alone for now. Losing an important person hurts a lot and she needs time to think about it."
"But she'll need help…" Honoka reasoned.
"You'll just confuse her further." The black haired girl retorted before nodding at Nozomi and Eri who then proceeded to usher Hanayo, Rin and other girls out of Kotori's personal space. "Just come to us when you're ready Kotori-chan. We'll be ready to listen." She continued before leaving with the others.
"Thank you NIco-chan." The ash-blonde haired girl said before turning around and leaving, intending to enter the school her mother once owned. She was really everywhere. This school was built with the loving care of the MInami family and her mother had been the first to fix everything after many years. All the love can be felt through these walls.
A sad smile formed upon her face as she said, "I love you mom… and goodbye. I'll take care of this place."
Years passed, most things have finally gotten normal again. Everyone had gotten over, albeit not completely, about everything that had happened. Muse had already graduated from Otonokizaka and went on to college. Eri and Nozomi had already finished it while Nico had trouble maintaining her grades while working and ended up dropping completely. The two third years offered to help her but she politely declined stating that she can perfectly provide for her family. Kokoro, Kokoa and Kotaro were all alive as with her mother but her mother's business had failed and since then, they both had been working.
Honoka had opened the store of her family but hired two helpers for it since they couldn't run the bakery while they were at school. Thankfully, the two were really trustworthy and did the best they could to keep the bakery going. Kotori, on the other hand, took over the school of Otonokizaka with the help of her mother's old friend, she managed to do a great job running it while attending college. Umi still went to college but was going to inherit the family name in the future so she had to do what she wanted to do while still in her college days because it would be limited once it would be over.
Rin and Hanayo stuck together until the very end. They chose the same college but had different courses but they managed to work their schedules out so they had the same breaks.
They all had gone in separate ways but there was something they all did together. And that was paying their respects to their fallen friends.
"Hey guys, long time no see." Eri greeted as she and Nozomi arrived at the front of the graveyard.
"Yeah, long time no see Eri-chan." Honoka greeted, flowers in her hands.
Once they had all said their greetings, they gave respect to the dead. They placed bouquets of flowers on each grave of their friend and prayed for their souls.
"I really had hoped they would survive." Nico said as she looked at the graves. "Even now… Even now, I still think they should be here."
"Everyone does Nico-chan." Rin admitted.
"There's nothing we can do now though but to accept it." Umi said. She took a deep breath and sighed. "I bet they would want us to live a normal life as well."
"Yeah, that does sound like what they would want us to do." Kotori said with a smile.
The eight left fairly quickly in search for a good restaurant where they could catch up in. Four figures, almost transparent appeared behind the graves.
Yep, it was the four who had died. They watched as their friends left before looking at each other. "Damn, that's how many years in a row now? I mean, I swore they would've stopped after two years or something." Kei admitted as he sat down on his own gravestone.
"I think it's mostly because Maki is here and that is why they take the time to be considerate with us too." Marcos said as he leaned on the gravestone. "It would be disrespectful to bring flowers to only one of the people here when you know them."
"Or maybe two of them actually came for the two of you." Maki inserted with her arms crossed. "Eri and Nozomi were close friends of Silver and Marcos so they probably went for you guys too."
"That's basically saying I have no place here." Kei said with a small chuckle.
"Well what's important is that they keep on visiting us, which is nice." Silver said. "But thanks to that, we can't actually move on."
"Not with the longingness in their hearts we can't." Marcos sighed. "Man, just how long are we going to stay here? I'd finally get to see if there's a heaven or not!"
"You're whining like a kid Marcos." Silver pointed out. The blue haired ghost teen just shrugged in response.
"I guess we'll just have to wait for the time that they finally feel that they don't need us alive." Maki said.
"I'll just hope that it doesn't take too long. I mean, have you seen how bored I am?" Kei asked. "Sure we can conjure stuff that would make us happy like so…" He said before flicking his hand towards the open field and an almost transparent piano appeared. "But we can't play video games and stuff."
"They have their whole lifetime to get over it." Silver said. "I feel like it's not going to be anytime soon."
Marcos nodded. "Sad but true."
Rena Bodewig: Well my friend, it's ending now actually. Forgive me for the slow posts, everything else in life has been keeping me busy.
GAT-X105VividPanzer: Well did it end alright to you? Because after all, whether it was sad or not is up to you.
WinterAce: I actually tried to place some in there, but they ended up as just small interactions between the guys and girls. Guess romance isn't my forte…
Gg: Come now, they are in a safe facility, I might as well give them something to do. Well Maki is my favorite. Possibly why I just had to… make her go away. Don't worry though since this is the end, no one will die.
And that my friends, is the end of Perfect to Disaster. Did it end in a sad note? I suppose. Is this really the ending to it or am I going to make another chapter just to wipe those tears? Possibly.
Did it feel rushed? Or was it too short? Nevertheless, this is the ending chapter for the story.
Thank you, readers, for reading this 'till the end. I appreciate your support from your reviews to the favorites and follows.
