Confession time, I watched Happy Feet the other day! So the idea is that true 'mates' have a song that matches. Heart song, or whatever they called it in the movie. :) Who better than these two to rock out to it?! Combined in Omegaverse! for this to sort of make sense.

OoOoOo

Gilbert, an Alpha that got into far more trouble than he ever truly intended, was strolling down the street. It was a busy and slightly cloudy day, but the sun was beginning to peak through the clouds. He was on his way to meet his younger brother Ludwig, who had recently found his true mate. Some spunky little Italian thing.

As an Alpha, and older sibling, Gilbert could not wait to meet this person so that he could tease Ludwig mercilessly.

Out of love, of course.

His ruby eyes glittered in open excitement. He wanted to know every detail. Just how had it all happened? He chuckled, alright... he cackled, to himself in sheer uninhibited glee. Oh! Oh this was going to be priceless!

He fervently hoped that someone had caught it all on Camera. His dear little brother, who was terribly shy and a stickler for the rules, bursting out into Opera. Oh. Mien Gott. Just imagining it was making him ready to dissolve into further laughter.

Ever since they were children, when they first 'felt' their songs, the ones that would match them to their true mates, Gilbert had been slightly jealous of Ludwig. His blonde and smart younger brother had a deep and resonating voice. The words were crafted and heartfelt.

Gilbert, the most awesome Alpha he knew -though he agreed that sometimes this was a tad narcissistic-, had only ever been able to get 'Dum di da di da, Dum di da di da, and Roses are Red'. That was it. Some people were able to know more parts of their song, and some knew even less that Gilbert. The only way to know the whole song was to sing with your true mate.

His parents had been slightly dismayed when, in his childhood, Gilbert had danced around the house belting it out at the top of his lungs. He'd made an awesome air guitar solo for it too.

But, he had yet to find his true mate yet. That was okay. He was too awesome to worry about it. He'd find them sooner or later. Besides this was Ludwig's day. He had an extra pep in his step as he rounded a corner and spotted Ludwig. He was sitting, with a scowl on his face, with a cute looking red-head. Gilbert already approved of the younger male at his brother's side. After all, they were true mates. Gilbert wasn't going to put up a fuss.

However... Ludwig didn't know that. His grin morphed into a feral smile of wicked mischief.

As if he sensed his brother, Ludwig lifted his head, and narrowed his blue gaze at him. He noticed his brother puffed up slightly, looking ready to murder someone.

Ah, Gilbert loved having a younger sibling some days.

Absolutely adored it!

OoOoOo

They had just ordered, with Gilbert grinning like a maniac nearly the entire time.

There was a slight possibility that he frightened the little Omega, but that hardly his fault. How often did one get to harass a person they just met? Well, with the best of intentions, at least. Gilbert noticed that Ludwig had a vein standing up and pulsing on his neck. Ooooohhhh... he was mad. Gott. This really was just too fun. Honestly, it was like Ludwig wanted him to continue.

As, happens sometimes, he was so overjoyed with the moment, that he started humming his song. His foot started tapping along with it. He failed to notice that a woman behind him straitened slightly. Nearly against her will, as if she recognized the tune. Gilbert was far too involved with causing Ludwig some discomfort with well placed jibes. Which his brother did not find amusing. There was genuine happiness for the Blonde Beilschmidt. There really was. That was likely the only reason that Ludwig refrained from assaulting him. Well, that and they were in public.

Gilbert knew he might pay for this later, but he was considering this totally worth it. So far.

The server arrived with more drinks, just as he kept humming his song.

Ludwig started at him balefully.

"Go ahead." He stated nearly calmly. One would almost believe he wasn't imagining ways to strangle his Albino brother. Almost.

"What?" Gilbert asked easily, merrily.

"Go ahead and sing it." The other nearly growled.

Ah, well, it was his habit. He could belt out his heart song. Right here. As an Alpha, he was expected not to do it. Omegas were known to do it more. However, in times of joy or excitement it was considered socially acceptable to let it slip. Once.

"You just love the sound of my awesome voice." He said with a flirtatious wink to the little Italian. Feli, he'd said to call him.

Ludwig did snarl at him then.

"To hell with your voice."

Gilbert cackled. "Now, now. Don't get all worked up Ludwig."

He was still tapping his foot in time with his song.

"But if you insist." He purred out with a smug expression.

Ludwig's grip on his glass tightened. Gilbert hoped he didn't break it. He didn't even need a moment to think about it. He made a show of leaning back in his chair, and Looked at Feli.

"Dum di da di da, Dum di da di da, and Roses are Red!"

The little Omega flushed, glancing at Ludwig with a bright smile.

"Roses are red and violets are blue. Honey is sweet, but not as sweet as you."

Gilbert froze. His crimson eyes widened, as did Ludwig's and Feli's. His breath caught in his throat. The voice was so close. It was clear and strong. The others in the restaurant paused, Not a sound was made. Even the servers had stopped in their tasks. It was always considered polite to allow true mates to continue their songs in silence.

"Roses are red and violets are blue. Adi da did mud, Adi da did mud."

He turned around, and met a pair of bright Sky-blue eyes. They were behind glasses. A blonde woman was beaming at him with an excited expression. Gilbert felt his heart pound, and his mouth went slightly dry. They were both twisted in their seats, staring at each other. Neither of them paid attention to the others at their tables that had dropped their jaws in shock.

"Dum di da di da. Dum di da di da. Dum di da di da." The blonde continued, moving to get out of her chair. Gilbert blinked up at her, entranced. "Du di da di da. Dum di da di da. Dum di da di da."

She was watching him expectantly. From somewhere deep within him, Gilbert felt the words explode upward. They flew around his brain as if they were the most important thoughts he would ever have. The full song. The only way to achieve the full song... was with...

"Come pick my Roses." It sprang from his mouth, slightly inviting and naughty all at once.

She flushed, but appeared ecstatic. He felt the same way. This Omega... this was his true mate. He was up on his feet in an instant. The music he heard that filtered through his whole body. She could hear it too. They started swaying to the music that only they could hear. The blonde let out a whooping laugh. It was loud. And, he loved it instantly.

It was also a bonus, that they were causing a scene. This was likely embarrassing Ludwig to no end. Mates did not exactly have to dance around, but Gilbert started on his worked upon air guitar, jamming out. The blonde Omega started pretending like she was a DJ and working the tracks. Then they were moving their bodies in time. Some of the on lookers appeared highly amused. They weren't the best, but it was certainly entertaining to watch.

Somewhere, from the Blonde's table a groan of 'Bloody hell, that's not proper English', was heard.

"Sweet from the flowers, honey from the bees. I got a feeling, I'm ready to release." The Omega snag, as they really got into the song.

Gilbert felt his face flush when she winked at him, just a bit. Then he was back to grinning at her widely. Almost lecherously. She leaned in toward him, as she started jumping slightly, moving her head and arms in time with her words.

"Roses are red and violets are blue. Honey is sweet, but not as sweet as you."

Red eyes nearly sparkled. She was freaking perfect for him! He did an awesome walk of sexiness toward her. Well, he thought it was anyway.

"It's invincible, but so touchable." He winked at her and she laughed. "And, I can feel it on my body, so emotional."

Gilbert moved his hands down his torso.

"I'm on a ride," he continued as he made a show of driving. The Omega continued to dance along to their song. "On a ride, I'm a passenger. I am a victim of a hot love messenger."

His voice dropped a bit for the last line, and he saw her blush but she started banging her head along with his words.

"Dum di da di da. Dum di da di da. Dum di da di da. The only thing he said was- Dum di da di da. Dum di da di da. Dum di da di da and Roses are red!"

Some people started clapping along, quietly, or tapping their feet. Much like how Gilbert had done it before. The pair started singing together. They sang a part once more, it seemed their song was entirely upbeat and carefree.

"Dum di da di da. Dum di da di da. Dum di da di da."

The Omega burst out louder, from beyond the chorus.

"Don't take my Roses away!"

The Omega started pulling out more fancy dance moves, going backward a bit and Gilbert tired to up his game with her. They repeated their chorus once more. Growing a bit tired, but Gilbert through in a hip-thrust here and there. Frankly it was something that bordered on sorcery.

"My Roses are red! Oh yeah!"

They ended, out of breath but laughing all the same. People started clapping all around them. Except for Ludwig, who muttered for Feli to stop clapping.

Gilbert huffed a breath at that.

"I'm Amelia," the Omega said brightly, and Gilbert blinked as a hand was shoved nearly in his face. He took it in stride, grabbing it and shaking it.

"Charmed." He replied with a roguish smile.

She quirked a grin at that.

"Strange name," she teased lightly.

"Yes, that is why I normally go by Gilbert," he replied without missing a beat.

There was an impish look given to him then.

"I think I like Gilbert better." There was a soft dusting on pink on her cheeks.

He grinned, a bit of teeth showing, at her reply.

"Wait till you see my-"

"GILBERT!" Ludwig roared, slamming his hands on the table.

Red eyes blinked, and he turned toward his brother. A knowing look on his face.

"I was going to say home, Ludwig. Home."

At that, his brother promptly sat down and turned bright red.

"That's a shame," Amelia commented, "I was sort of hoping you were talking about-"

"Amelia!" A British Beta interrupted with a frown.

Gilbert looked at her with amusement. She smiled in an honest fashion.

"My?"

"Oh I was totally going to say your-"

"Amelia!" A Blonde Alpha said from her table. His violet eyes were wide and aghast.

"My?" Gilbert hinted further, teasingly.

Amelia grinned and started laughing.

"Your-"

"Amelia!" A French Alpha said tiredly.

"We'd better stop," Amelia commented with obvious amusement. "I am running out of people to interrupt me."

Gilbert threw back his head and laughed.

Yes, she was perfect for him.
