They're digging into my soul.
Those violet eyes of hers.
I don't feel scared. I don't feel anxious. I don't feel pain from the wounds of the battle.
All I can do is stare at Yona's eyes.
She's determined, she's angry, if not now, she'll lose that fire within her.
She removed her hand from my grip, that had loosened.
I want to see, presence it with my own eyes.
Yona's dagger prefurating Soo-won's skin, blood flowing out of the wound until he falls to the ground dead.
"I'll go with you." I mutter, my voice trembling a bit, a smile forming on my lips. I'm happy.
I'm happy.
I'm happy to see this Yona. No longer a small frail girl, but a stubborn strong woman.
Suddenly I feel her arms wrapping around me, her head resting on my chest. I stare down at her.
She's scared.
"Princess." My voice whispers, my index finger lowering to her chin to make her look at me. "I'll be besides you."
Her tears fall, wetning her cheeks and my clothes.
But I don't care, my hand cups firmly her cheek and my neck and back bend forward until our lips met.
A kiss of despair. This could be the first and last time we'll be like this.
I don't want to lose her. I want to prolong this moment as much as I can, but there's a war going on, right behind us.
I pull away, and Yona's staring at me curiously.
"You're crying-" She says and reaches a hand to wipe my cheek.
I straighten up and look into distance. "I'm not."
She chuckles. I look at her. Why is she giggling? Now's not the time to be all happy and cheerful.
"Why- Why are you laughing?" I ask.
"You."
"Me?" I return my stare to her, I feel confused.
"You don't ave to be ashamed of crying, Hak."
I feel my face softning and I hold her hand. "We'll do this together. I'll be by your side."
We run. Me, my weapon in one hand and the princess' hand in another. Her hair had grown back again, it was long and itlooked like a flame coming out of her head, all the passion she had in her.
Her bow and arrows swinging on her shoulder over her peach coloured kimono.
She'll be the Emperor this kindgom has been searching for. Natural leadership. Peaceful, kind, cheerful, strong, determined.
The perfect mix. Such perfection in one tiny frail body.
At the top of the tower. There he was. His long blond hair, tied in it's usual way. He's staring onto the battlefield, the city of Kouka burning down with flames. And he's just there. Staring at everything falling in front of his eyes.
"Have you come to kill me, Yona?" He turns around at us, our weapon ready to attack. "Hak." He acknowledges my presence in the room. "You have waited long haven't you? 2 years, out there, fighting disease, my men, hunger and my generals. All of that, lead to this moment-"
"Shut up." Yona yells angrily. "You have no right of talking to me." I stare at her.
I let my guard down, and now all I see is my body closing up to the ground and everything is black.
