Hey there, ya'll! Long time, no see.

Well as you are, I'm in my social distancing and decided to work back on my story for Far Cry 4. A short warm up from where I left. Hope you enjoy it.

Stay safe and take care! :)

Amita opened her eyes and the first thing she saw was serum pack hanging on the right side of her bed. Where was she? And how did she get there? It was bringing an old aching on the back of her head as she tried to remember these details. Her hand observed her neck as she turned her head to both sides and Amita almost had a small heart attack as she noticed Sabal on the left side of her bed, on the chair sleeping. He had his head laying on top of his arms, his body was leaned on the back of the chair as he sat opposite way. He cannot wait to scold me, she spelled under her breath. "Sabal?" She called.

Sabal was sleeping deeply. After a few attempts of calling his name with the most strong she had, Amia started coughing. That's when Sabal lisfted his head up and stood up in a rush that he almost fell on his back. Amita could be lying on the floor laughing at this scene if only she wasn't still under the effect of the battle in Varshakot. Right. She remembered.

"Praise the gods!" Sabal sprinted out of the room shouting some names of the Kyrati Gods and thanking each of them. It was too loud for Amita already and yet there came more loudy people getting inside of her room. Bhadra slipped through the crowd and ran over Amita's side. So did Tara and Ajay while Sabal and Malik held the crowd out of the small cabinet. They were consloling the Kyratis as Amita was to get well soon as they took small peeks over the bed like Amita was some kind of jewelry at Tiffany's or some antic sculpture in a museum. She really did enjoy the thought of being important to somebody and she could almost cry as Tara brushed her hair with tear-filling eyes.

Bhadra lied next to Amita and she embraced the little girl. "Don't ever go on a mission again, Amita. Please." Little girl hid her face into Amita's neck and young rebel couldn't hold back the tears falling down on her cheek no more. She caught in a crisis of coughing again and Ajay came with a glass full of water. "There you go." Amita thanked him with her wet eyes and Ajay nodded her back.

"Is your head aching?" Sabal asked walking back to Amita's bed. Malik followed him after closing the dor of the cabinet. Sabal sat back on the chair earlier he was sleeping on and pulled it next to Amita's bed. "These are some pills that will ease your pain."

"No, but Najjar said that these are very strong she needs to take these after meal." Ajay spoke.

"Noore Najjar? You get to her?" Amita perked up at the name.

"She's reponsible on your treatment. Being held as hostage in the camp." Sabal answered.

"God.. how long have I been passed out?" Amita asked.

"Two days and a few hours." Sabal answered.

"What about Varshakot?" Amita asked cathcing her breath. She couldn't believe that she frgot about the battle.

"Varshakot was captured." Ajay answered.

"Four of our men being killed in the battle. And many more injured heavily." Sabal added. "Four good men have lost their lives because of the irresponsibility!" Sabal's voice raisened up. Everybody in the room was looking at eachother. It was not the first time they have lost their friends into a battle but each time they did, it was like bringing up the total of the sorrows back.

"Not the time now, Sabal." Ajay murmured at the leader but he did not intend to listen.

"What were you thinking, Amita? Really? You dn't care abut people's lives. Not even of your own!" Sabal stood up and walked accross the room to take a quick look through the window. "You could be dead by now if we weren't there in time!" He looked back at the woman in bed.

"Wish I was." Amita replied with rather a calm voice. That she didn't have much strength in her voice and also the news of th lost ones was heavily hurting.

"Stop!" Sabal pointed his finger up to her as he walked at the end of the bed. "You don't have the right to upset these people."

"Why do you act like you care, Sabal?" Amita asked in a tired voice.

"Because I do care! I care about all of you." Sabal took a step back and looked at each face surrounding him. "You are my friends, my family. Each one of you matter to me. We are on the same vessel in this war. Nobody's being left behind. But if you keep insisting going on your own way, well.. you see the result. And that's all I'll say." Sabal showed Amita with his hand and walked out of the hut. Again it was silence within the hut. Malik looked at Tara in a certain way and walked out also.

"Tara, can you please bring Amita smething to eat? So she could take her pills." Ajay looked at Tara and sat on the other side of the bed. Amita wasn't interacting with eve neye contact. She was looking at the woodwork hung upon the wall just the opposite of her bed. But not seeing it actually. "Bhadra? Would you like to help Tara with the preparation?" Ajay asked the little girl still laying in the embrace f Amita. Bhadra blinked slowly and got out of her capture. Amita didn't react to this eaither. After Tara and Bhadra left the cabinet, he spoke.

"He lost his mind, Amita."

"Who?"

"Sabal. I've never seen him so helpless. It was even more saddening to see him like that than the fact that you were lost."

"He thinks I'm not sad. He thinks I don't care about our fellows. This is what I cannot just let go." Amita looked at Ajay straight in the eye. "do you think the same, Ajay?"

"You know I don't. Or I wouldn't join you with the mission."

"Forgot to ask, how could you manage to get to Noore Najjar? I know that she is being protected by the government sources." Amita asked.

"I don't know. Sabal arranged it and never told me." Ajay answered.

"Hah! And he talks about being one! You see this, Ajay?"

"Amita, please don't pull me back into this. You are the leaders of Golden Path, not enemies. Try getting along more okay? You know what, I'll see what we can do to fix our inner problems to get on planning a new big mission. Let me know if you need me. Here's your phone." Ajay left Amita's phone on the commode next to her and waved her as he left the room.

Ajay made the same speech to Sabal, stating that the whole country needed both of them for the salvation. That he should be more understanding towards her. Sabal only listened to his words as he climbed up the stairs in front of Ajay. "how long are we going to walk, really?" Ajay asked putting his hand on his waist and stretched his body, out of breath.

"Throwing the towel, brother?" Sabal teased him winking at the end. Ajay continued his speech as he got Sabal's attention.

"As I was saying, please be more easy-going to Amita."

"Again with that? You know what Ajay, you should tell these to her first. Because she is the one that is acting immature and irrational. If she was to follow my lead, we'd be so good together. I mean, as a team."

Ajay raised his eyebrows at Sabal's tense expression at the end and bit his lips to not to talk about what was going on in his mind. Sabal went back on climbing to the cave as Ajay stood where he was, watching the landscape extending in front of him. Ajay really enjoyed these walks with Sabal, especially when they didn't have to rush to somewhere. It was very hot from the beginning of the day and it was almost evening that they could get to the cave nearby a waterfall Sabal talked about before. "Why not go today?" so they agreed on having a little free time as two good friends.

"Keep the door open. It locks itself and cannot be opened from inside." Sabal held his hand up in the air as Ajay was stepping inside the cave.

Staying the night in a cave away from the rest of the wrld was not a good idea. It was rather scary now than calming. There was no signal, no village nearby, not even a bird flying by. Sabal explained as how this cave made it easier for him to feel Kyra right by his side compared to any other shrines and temples scattered al aroun the country. It was just him and Kyra, a candle burning and small offerings Sabal brought by himself as he climbed upon the rocky path to get there. Ajay crossed his legs and sat alongside Sabal as how he did and closed his eyes. He didn't have anything to say to Kyra, since he didn't specifically believe in her but it felt just so relaxing surprisingly to himself. There was only a rhytmic sound of a waterdrop coming from inside of the hall within the cave. Ajay opened his eyes to check Sabal and found him staying still with his eyes closed. He wanted to check where the water made sound but thought it would upset Sabal as iif Ajay didn't respect his belief and thoughts. Sabal would get hurt out of nothing in the last few days and Ajay didn't want to give him another reason.

Sabal murmured some Kyrati prayers through his breath and nodded the small figurine in front of them. Ajay observed the facial expressions on his face as how sincere and helpless he looked in front of a figurine of a Kyrati god. Ajay was not used to this face of Sabal as how stiff he was at most of the time. especially when Amita was around. And now he was praying gods and thanking them that she was back in life. Ajay couldn't be sure if this was to impress him or just Sabal's sincere wishes. If he was not there to see it by his own eyes, he'd say think as first. That he cared for Amita, no matter how bitter she was at times and that she was his rival. Sabal had forgotten all those when he thought that Amita was gone forever. Ajay recalled just how it affected him to see Sabal yelling out her name and trying to hold himself together at the same time.

"Deep thoughts, brother?" Sabal whispered.

"Huh?" Ajay jumped out of his thoughts and smiled at Sabal, who looked calmer than ever. "I was thinking.. how close we are to death. I mean, we are here now right? But what about tomorrow? It's crazy."

"You're right." Sabal thought before speaking. "This might be our last day together. We always should keep that in mind."

"Do you, Sabal?" Ajay asked.

"Do I what?"

"Do you remind yourself that? That you may see Amita fort he last time one day. What does it make you feel like?" Ajay asked as he stood up to walk outside as it was getting dark. Sabal followed by as their job was done here.

"I always do. I always keep it in mind that it might be my last day. So I treat people nice and respectfully. But I doubt that she does so. All she does is break and tear." Sabal picked up a dandelion from the rock aside as they went down the path.

"Why don't you show her that you care for her? I mean as you car efor all of us. Her actions are because of the misconception between your acts and your intentions. I saw how sad you were when we were looking out for Amita. But you scolded her like a child and it shows no sign of care. And now you here just thanked gods for her safe return. Why do you keep fighting?" Ajay explained.

"I'm not fighting her, brother."

Yeah, you're fighting yourself. Ajay spoke internally.

With each day passes in Kyrat, Ajay was coming to a conclusion that whatever went wrong between Amita and Sabal was not a simply rivalry story. As none of two were willing to talk about it openly, Ajay thought that there was something kept as a secret between the two leaders. He asked Tara, Malik and many others undirectly of what happened between the two in the past. Answers were all different. Malik knew as Amita attacked Sabal after he didn't let her stand next to him. This was exceptional though. However, still it was too much of a reaction that it didn't seem like any of Amita's nature.

Shanti, who was mother to her four-months baby named after Amita explained their relationship. "They were so close once. Like you didn't have to ask whereabouts of on another because they were together most of the time. But lasted like two weeks or so." She chuckled reminiscing the good old days as she leaned on to rock the baby bed. "After that, I think Sabal wanted to protect her from everything, like a father figüre you know. And Amita fought for her freedom at the same time. I guess that was when they started to draw away from eachother. And then you came Ajay. You are like a toy to two toddler who don't know how tos hare. Don't get me wrong. I'm just making examples." Shanti smiled shyly as she offered Ajay another cup of chai. They drink too much chai, Ajay thought.

Later in the night Amita woke up from one of her long sleeps she took during her healing process. She swept the sweat out of her temples and tried to kick the fur coat on top of her that is causing the heat. Tried to straighten up her position in the bed to reach for a glass of water on the right side of the commode. As her reflexes were not healed perfectly yet, glass slipped out of her hand and shattered into pieces on the wooden floor. She shrinked at the noise as it felt like it stinged right up the her ears in the silent room.

"Amita?"

Amita gasped out of intention as she heard Tara calling her name. Thought she was by herself in the hut. "Are you okay?"

"I- I am good. Just needed to drink some water."

"I'll get a new cup." Tara spoke as she yawned halfly and rubbed her eyes to clear her vision as she walked out of the room just to back after two minutes.

"Tara, could you please help me get on my feet? I really need to get out of this room." Amita was beyond overwhelmed with laying on bed fort he last few days. She attempted to walk out of bed but Tara stopped her.

"Shh shh! Not yet, Amita. Please stay in bed."

"Tara I'm sick of laying down and nt doing anything. I'm gonna lose my mind if I lay here one day more."

"I know. I'll help you get out and walk tomorrow. I promise." Tara spoke softly as she served Amita a cup of water. "Just rest for another nine hours or so, please. You've been injured badly on your ankle through your leg. And the wound above your stomach was a really serious one. Thank gods that we have a doctor in the camp."

"How did they convince Najjar take care of me?" Amita asked as she finished her cup and leaned for second one.

"I have no clue. Asked Malik and he does not know, either. Sabal might have something really important about Noore in his hands that she followed him by words. Or she has something about Sabal." Tara laughed through her nostrils and got the empty cup from Amita's hand.

"What is that?" Amita asked.

"Huh? Oh.. ıt's just that little gossip going around in Banapur since Noore Najjar is with us. She came here being as a captive but she seemed so accepting since day one and now people think that she is happy being around here. Mostly Sabal is with her so they think she likes him because she's always smiling and not scared or angry for being taken as a hostage at all. Oh, that might be the drugs, too. Some say she's on very strong pills to handle the tragedies in her life."

"Enough with the gossip updates, Tara. I'll just sleep now." Amita smiled halfly and corrected her position to lay down. Tara helped her lie down and she caressed her face. Amita liked when she was taken care of. So she just smiled back at Tara when she brushed her locks back like loving a baby and closed her eyes. Tara went back to the couch to resume her sleep and not so long after she was asleep again. Amita could sense it from the sound of her breath. However she just could not sleep. Because she overslept for days and was fed up with sleeping. Never she could ever think of a time comes and she got tired of sleeping in her life as a leader of a rebellion group. She laughed at the idea.

Hours passed with thoughts following one other and Amita realized dawn was breaking. She straightened up in her sitting position and checked Tara who was stil sleeping. She couldn't help a smile. All these time she was running and rushing for the citizens and now it was her that needed help. It was good to see everybody was struggling for her to regain her health. Even Sabal.

Amita reached for her phone on the commode and noticed her necklace was there. She thought she lost it during the battle. As she observed it she's seen some changes. Some of the blue Stones were missing and was replaced with dark brown beads that looked like the ones used during prayers. She looked at the necklace and tried to put it on but the aching was unbearable as she lifted her left arm up. So she gave up and called Sabal through her phone.

"Amita? Are you okay?" Sabal's voice was sleepy.

"I am good, Sabal. But I need some fresh air. Are you nearby?" Amita spoke softly for not to wake Tara up.

"I'm coming."

After like twenty minutes or so, Sabal entered the hut and found Amita trying to walk herself out by getting a hold of the furnitures on the way to the door. Right as she was reaching fort he doorknob, Sabal opened and Amita almost fell on her back on the floor if Sabal had weak reflexes.

"Amita!" he caught her from underarms as she reached for him to hold on. Amita also had strong reflexes that she wrapped her arms around his neck. It took a few seconds for Sabal to speak again. "Are you okay?"

Tara opened her eyes at Sabal's yell but she thought she stil was having a dream because the scene in front of her eyes was so unreal. She didn't make any sound or movement to figure out if Sabal and Amita was indeed had their arms wrapped around eachother or not. She watched as Sabal helped Amit sit back on the bed and sat beside her. Now they had their backs turned to her. "Took your pills yet?" Sabal asked.

"No, just woke up. Those are very strong, can't take them with an empty stomach." Amita answered.

"Yes, but Noore said-" Sabal tried to explain.

"Your Noore does not know my system better than me." Amita cut his words.

"My Noore? You're fast catching up with the late rumors, huh?" Sabal smiled halfly. "Plain bullshit."

"This might be your last chance having a family after all." Amita joked as she reached out fort he water on the commode. Sabal stopped her hand and noticed her necklace beside the pot of water.

"I see you're getting better since you've started to make sarcasm. It's good." He gave the cup to her and Amita noticed the bracelet around his brace. It's been missing some of the beads.

Tara stood up at last "Good morning!"

Sabal caught off guard. He didn't realize that Tara was there sleeping. "Good morning, Tara. How are you?" He asked as he stood up.

"I'm good. How about you, Sabal?" Tara asked as he brushed her hair back and walked up to window to open it.

"I'm good as well."

"You're early today. Everything is good?"

"Yeah, everything good."

"How's the doctor doing?" Tara asked jokingly.

Sabal rolled his eyes at the question and walked up to the door. "Enough interaction for today. Call me if you need me, alright?" He talked to Amita and took one last serious look at Tara bfore exiting the hut.

"I was just joking." Tara laughed and shruged.

"He doesn't like doctor jokes, does he?" Amita chuckled softly and pointed the necklace on the commode. "Hey Tara, could you please help me put it on?"

"Ah, where did you find it?" Tara took the necklace and checked it out. "What's these beads attached?"

"I think Sabal sacrificed his bracelet." Amita answered.

Tara pulled Amita's long dark hair aside to put the necklace on. "What's with Sabal? He seemed different to me this morning."

"Like what?" Amita asked.

"I don't know. Something is up with him. You think him and the doctor really have something going on?" She began to brush Amita's hair after putting on the necklace.

"I don't think so. I mean why would Noore want to be with a man like him?" Amita questioned.

"Why so? What is so bad with Sabal? His way of the rebellion.. yes. But I'm pretty sure that Noore wouldn't care a dime if he turned every club around Kyrat into a temple." Tara explained. And she started braiding Amita's hair. "Also, gotta admit that Sabal has a charisma."

"In his own way, yes." Amita added laughing.

"Well, you tell me. Should have taken a good look on him from that close a few minutes ago when you two were-"

"Tara!" Amita pulled her half braided hair out of Tara's hand and linked the end herself. "Don't you open that dusty book! Now, are you helping me go out?" She stood up despite her hurting leg and stepped up to the door. Tara supported her with her shoulder belwo Amita's underarm. Two stepped up outside and even by then Amita was feeling better.

"Amita!" Veera cheered and ran towards the female leader. She put her arm on her shoulder and let our a sincere smile. "So happy to see you back on your feet!" she placed a kiss on her cheek as she got under her other arm.

Amita couldn't help her laughter when Tara and Veera tried to lift her from the ground despite the pain she was feeling. They carried her for a few seconds until Amita cried out of pain on her arm. She was still smiling though.

Her cry attracted attention from nearby houses. Citizes of Banapur started passing by and expressing their best wishes and prayers to the female leader. Bhadra ran with her friends and gave a bouquet of daisies to Amita. Amita brushed Bhadra's hair and got stuck in the circle of kids showing love to her. She was totally not cmplaining. A young woman came by and put a necklace of jasmine flowers around her neck. "Kyra bless you." She bowed her and went on her way with a thankful face. "I'm going to cry. Cover me up." Amita told her friends as she smiled and stomped over to the table in front of a house. She sat on the chair and waved at the old women looking at her from the balconies.

Ajay came by with a piece of dosa in his hand. He raised eyebrows as he saw Amita. "Hey, shouldn't you be laying down?"

"I'm sick of laying down, Ajay. Got more?" Amita tilted her head up eyeing the dosa in Ajay's hand.

"Let me check for you." As Ajay stood up to go back to the dining hall, Amita stopped him and told she was coming too as she walked after Ajay with the help of Veera. Tara went on patrolling with Malik as it was her turn. Ajay wrapped one arm around Amita's waist and nodded Veera meaning he could handle it himself. So Veera walked in front of them and entered the hall asking Houri if she was cooking more dosas. Houri got excited ash she saw Amita walking inside the room and walked up to her to see herself that she was okay.

"Thank Kyra! We all were so worried Amita, when Sabal carried you into the white hall-" Houri rubbed her nose and walked back to the stove as she didn't want to go further to recall those saddening scenes. Amita's body that showed no sign of life, being carried by Sabal who seemed just about to break down and fall down on the floor. Houri swept the extra oil within the pan as if she was swiping the bad memories and poured some new oil. "How are you feeling now?"

"Not bad. Stil it hurts on several parts of my body but the pills are working right so far. You know, we need to get a hold of production of these pills." Amita turned to Ajay.

"Easy there." Ajay smiled. "We'll figure it out later. You need to rest and regain your strength for now."

"Where's Najjar? Pretty sure that she knows the Formula of these pills. We've missed the proffessor out of our hands, at least she could be some use." Amita advised.

"Noore's been held within Tirtha to help with the treatment of the wounded soldiers." Ajay explained.

"How? I don't understand how she accepted this. Why is she stil helping us? How?" Amita asked curiously as she picked a dosa from the plate Houri placed on table.

"She has her life broken into pieces. Her family was killed years ago and she heard that from Sabal the other day when she completed sewing your wound. It was so tragic. I've felt so bad for her." Ajay shook his head both side as he layed his eyes upon the table.

"All the lives of innocent people she took, well…" Amita was not merciful against Noore one bit.

Ajay didn't ike this side of Golden Path. This what he saw in Sabal too, was a general approach within the Kyratis. They never forgot. And they've never forgiven. He thought of his father Mohan Ghale. Was he like this too? If Ajay knew his father in person, would he stil feel the same about it or would keep an endless hatred and grudge towards the enemy? Not only towards enemy, it was also between the Kyratis. Ajay remembered hearing the sweet bitter discussion between two elder man as how one sold the other a bowl of yak milk for an expensive price once. Funny thing that the complaining one was there again to but some milk from the same seller. It was how they were. Same with Sabal as a solid example was right before Ajay's eyes. He'd complain about how bad and evil Amita was and yet would lose his mind if anything happened to her. Everyday Ajay was concluding a new thing about the natives and today's lesson was this. Neither with nor without.
