Chapter 55

Autumn Fall Celebration!

Music blasting, our main girls were in another group practice, Mai guarding over them with a calculating eyes, as their Duel Partners were playing a cute serious game of goldfish that had Yugi Dark Magician winning, while her furry little Kuriboh was losing badly. Never did they expect to receive a surprise visit from a certain brunette idol who open the door to their rehearsal room, stopping practice as a set of eyes landed on Yugi.

"Sorry for disturbing you all practice, but I really need to discuss something of great importance with your leader." Walking into the room was the leader of Lovely Peach, Anzu who eyes soon landed on the small, long, spiky haired leader who was just caught off guard along with the rest of her teammates and manager.

"I have a feeling I might know what this might be about. Take a break. Leader-san make sure you come straight back after you discussion with Anzu-san." Mai strictly told the leader of the group, mentally thanking herself for making the girls wear their Duel Idol Rings since their fame started to rise. Not wanting to take any chances of anyone finding out their true identity.

Nodding her head, Yugi begin to make her way out the door following Anzu who soon leaded her out on the streets, as you could gasp cause quite the commotion, awe looks and whispering was heard as the two made their to a familiar cafe, sitting down at a empty table towards the back.

"Sense I know you are busy this won't take long. The September Unit Competition is closing in and I am in need for a partner. So I'm here to ask can you be my partner for the competition?" asked Anzu. Yugi was in a state of shock before it hit her that Anzu just asked her to be her partner for a competition. Wow, what a very shocking day.

"S-Sure! I would love to be y-your partner A-Anzu-san!" Declared Yugi, and if Anzu wasn't acting weird before, took things up a notch by shooting Yugi a small sincere smile.

"Thank-you. The competition is soon. So starting tomorrow we will be starting rehearsal tomorrow, Saturday, I usual get up at six am for a morning jog before starting practice. Would you like to join me?" Anzu offered, half-way expecting Yugi to decline, knowing how her schedule is usually not to liking to of other people.

"Sure! Just tell me where to meet you." Yugi quickly agreed, despite knowing that she wasn't too much of morning person, but if it were for the sack of entering a competition alongside Anzu who offered her help, then she definitely didn't mind.

Once Yugi made it back to practice, the rest of her group came rushing up to her, demanding to know what Anzu wanted with her, as Yugi answered all of their questions.

"She asked me to be her partner for the top Unit Competition for September." Answered Yugi, who in return almost got her ears blown off by the loud declare of . . .

"What!"

"I knew it." Mai had feeling that this was what brought the Anzu over to visit them.

"So did you accept?" asked Joey.

"Yep!" Smiled Yugi.

"But I must say, I'm kinda shock that she ask our Taicho-chan out of all people. Isn't that like breaking the rival code or something?" Malik asked out loud.

"Maa, this will certainly stir up some commotion in the idols world, along with their fans." Smiled the sweet as ever Ryo.

"Alright girls! Break time's over, let's get back to practice!" Mai clapped her hands to get the girls attentions.

"Hai!"

"Mind telling me why you call me out here Atem?" Taking a seat at the table which, was none other than Yami, dressed in his all black leather disguise outfit, black sunglasses shielding away his eyes to the public. The two were seated in some high-class restaurant, having a secure room all to themselves, something which brought on suspicion to Yami, wondering what could the Pharaoh be up too.

"I'm happy to see you actually came, since what we are about to discussed is of something of great importance." This caught Yami attention, watching Atem took a drink of the red wine that was in his hands, before setting it back on the table.

"Something of great importance? Atem just get to point, tell me why you wanted me here?" Cutting to the chance of thing was Yami, as this made Atem smirk.

"If that's the way you wanted, than. . .tell your relationship with Chibi Magician and. . .Yugi?" There was a tense silence in the air, red wine eyes cold and hard, demanding for answers that left Yami unable to back out of, thinking up ways to answer him, while at the same time, trying to keep some things a secret, such as Yugi. . .and the idol Chibi Magician. . .was in fact the same person.

The next morning, Yugi in her idol form meet Anzu at the track field located in Duel World, as the two begin to do nice jog around the large field, glancing back Anzu could spot the once of sleepiness in Yugi eyes, and the at the same time the smaller girl own eagerness, making a smile spring forward on her face that she hide.

"Let's try two more laps, before hitting practice, alright?"

"A-Alright!" Yugi replied back, a bright smile on her face. Never did she think that top famous idol, an idol whose stardom is about as close to the famous and love, Dark Magician Girl, would ever ask her for her help. Taking into count of how things first started off between the two, but looking at the brunette now, Yugi saw a bit of the Anzu, who help her when the popular idol fangirls attack her, but yet. . .Yugi couldn't put her finger on it, but she felt that a part of the real Anzu was still hidden somewhere, as this begin to feel familiar to the time she, Atem, and Mana was in the cupcake cafe.

'What was it, that Mana said back then. . ? Oh Gosh, I can't remember!' Yugi rack her brain trying to remembering the conversation that happened back then, only to come up empty and frustrated.

"Alright let's hit the dance room Magician-san!"

"Ah-Were finished already!. . .Okay!" Deciding to think about it later. Yugi ran over to where Anzu was standing, patting her face with a towel, taking just a small drink of water. Her Duel Partner, Petite Angel, fluttering its wings, flying happy around her.

"Remember, we'll be in rehearsal mostly all day. So make sure you have all your priorities taken care of already." Anzu informed, Yugi nodded her head along, Dark Magician handing over a towel and a bottle of water to her, while Kuriboh nested and nuzzled within her long, spiky, trio-colored hair.

"Hai, Anzu-san!"

It was later that day, when the rest of the members of Lovely Peach, along with Tenshi's Hikaris, stop by the dance room where Yugi and Anzu was practicing at, and stood there amazes as they watch the two leaders hard at practice, mind contracted on the dance steps, and lyrics, as neither of the two have nothing them as yet.

Deciding to give the two some privacy, the two groups step back out in the hall, closing the door after them. Joey being the first to say some things. "The air in the room was tense. Not even a knife could have cut it."

"Maa, this has been the raving news all over the media since word got out. It's basically been the talk just about everywhere. The two main star rival leaders, joining hands together, is something that has everyone hype!" Smile Ryo, looking just as hype by the news.

"Calm down Ryo-chan, but I must say I understand. Even I feel a little excited as well." Admitted Malik.

"Fight Anzu-chan! Fight Chibi-chan!" Cheered Miho, thrusting her fist in the air, suddenly holding a megaphone in her hands.

"What I'll give to watch that performance." Sighed Kirasa, seeing how she was going to be busy that day.

"Hmph, If I didn't have a big gig myself. It would be me in their with Anzu-chan, but at least she had to suffer with someone below her statue. My poor Anzu-chan." Vivian had a look of disappointment on her face, ignoring the glares she was receiving from both Joey and Malik.

"Well I see someone is back to normal." Growl Joey.

"I never suspect for her to ever have a change of heart. It's not in her character." Muttered Malik, a hand place on her hip, while she glared at the Dragon Diva.

"Vivian will always be that way, so don't let her words get to you." Informed Kirasa, placing a comforting hand on both Malik and Joey shoulders.

Meanwhile, the night soon approach, a lone figure of a person wearing dark sunglasses wonder down the streets of Duel World, hands shove in his pockets, mind replaying the events that happen earlier today during dinner, with the conversation he had with Atem. A sigh escaping his lips.

"If that's the way you wanted, than. . .tell me your relationship with Chibi Magician and. . .Yugi?" There was a tense silence in the air, red wine eyes cold and hard, demanding for answers that left Yami unable to back out of, thinking up ways to answer him, while at the same time, trying to keep some things a secret, such as Yugi. . .and the idol Chibi Magician. . .was in fact the same person.

The silence at the table was enough for Atem to guess for the Yami hesitation for answering. Placing his wine glass back on the table, head facing away from the other, fist's balled and clench tightly, trying to keep his anger and jealousy in check at the revaluation of this piece of shocking news, ignoring the pierce stab his heart just felt.

"So that's how it is. . ." Atem bangs shielded his eyes, Yami not saying word, but could already tell, that Atem just put the piece together on his own.

"Why would you ask such a thing?. . .You don't honestly. . ." Yami find himself unable to finish, but the look of resolve and seriousness Atem eyes shone. Never before in his life have he seen Atem express such a look at him before. This was certainly a shock of the life time.

"I should've put the piece together earlier, after all it was right there in my face, but. . . .Don't think this will change anything about the way I feel for her. Never before have I felt this way towards anyone. We may have fought over some pretty petty stuff in the over the time of our rivalry, but this is the first time, I'm putting forth everything I got not so that I won't lose her. You may her here now, but I will make that change." Standing up from out his seat, Atem paid for the meal, before taking his leave. Leaving what just happen to sink in on Yami.

Looking up the moon, Yami sudden had a image of Yugi appear before him, a smile making its way on his face, before his quickly vanish. A look of pure determination enter his eyes, mind already made up of what he have to do. "Sorry Atem, but I just can't let you have her. She's mean much more to me, than she does to you." Pulling out his phone out his pocket, Yami begin to make a phone call.

Back at practice, Yugi was packing up her things, when her cellphone rang. "Hello, Yugi speaking~!"

"Hello Aibou. I haven't speaken to you in a long time." Hearing the familiar deep voice on the phone, brought a blush to Yugi cheeks. Missing his voice, seeing how the two haven't spoken to each other since the big concert that went down.

During while Anzu was out of the room, Yami and Yugi got back reacquainted, filling in each other about all that's been happening, since they been apart, while also sharing a few laughs, as it was obviously just how much they been missing each other. Hearing the cute sound of Yugi giggles, brought a smile to Yami face.

"Your laughs is just as cute as I remember aibou."

Hearing Yami say this, brought a deep blush to Yugi cheeks. Desperately beginning to denied his compliment that was aimed at her. Yami did nothing but chuckle, taking the sweet, soft, sound of Yugi voice, that always seem to brighten up his day. This strengthen him, before the big declaration he was about to make.

"Aibou."

Sensing the seriousness in Yami voice, Yugi calm down. "Y-Yes." What's she heard next, almost made her drop her cellphone, her entire body felt as if it was on fire, steam blowing from her head. Mind blank to the sound of the dial tone of the phone.

"Magician-san I. . .-Magician-san!" Anzu ran over in distress to the girl who had steam blowing from just about everywhere.

"What happen?" Anzu asked, trying to get answer from the steaming hot girl.

"H-He. . .He said. . .H-He s-s-said. . . ."

"He said what?Ah-Magician-san, hang in there!" Yugi passed out in poor clueless and confused Anzu arms.

"Welcome everyone to Unit Competition of September, Autumn Fall Celebration! I know you all must be hyped and excited for today's unit performers, especially one certain unit that's has been the big buzz all around the Duel Idol! So place on those glasses, and let's get this show started!" Announced the host of the event. The event was host outside, in the square of town. Duel Idol World, was programmed having a fall harvest theme, filled with autumn leaves, acorns and trees. Vendors were set up all over the place, selling delicious food. Laughter and fun filled the place, as the biggest of event was just about to take place.

"Magician-san, I just received our Duel Idol Cards for the competition!" Walking through the dressing room door was Anzu, holding a small stack of sparkly, shining, Duel Idol Cards in her hands.

"Thank-you Anzu-san!" Smiled Yugi, walking over to Anzu,who still had her eyes on the amethyst eyed idol.

"You know, you remind me someone I met at school once." Anzu suddenly spoke up, walking over to take a seat. While Yugi came to a halt, sweating a little bit, as Anzu continued.

"Mm, I can't remember her name, but you remind me a lot of her, You two have the same type of eyes, and I not just talking about the color. . .Say could you perhaps be. . . ."

Just than Yugi was saved by the knocking on their dressing room door, walking over to it, thanking whoever it was for saving her, before Anzu could continued, and maybe found out her identity. Opening the door, Yugi was met face first with a beautiful bouquet of flowers, before a familiar face show himself.

"A-Atem!?"

"Hello Little One." He greeted back, presenting her the bouquet.

"Maa, you didn't have to bring me flower, and their so pretty!" Gushed Yugi, admiring the flowers in her hands, with a cute smile. Watching the exchange between the two, Anzu got up from out her seat, to see the stranger at her door, and was shocked once she saw it was a replica of her once dear, Chaos Magician.

Analyzing the man from head to two, she had to blush, as he was definitely handsome, reducing her mind to gooey mush. Standing their with a charming smile on his face, somewhat reminding her of a sexy Egyptian god. Deep wine red eyes, that look as if they could peer inside someone soul, and make any girl melt. his tight fitting cloths, shaping the outline of his well fight, and tight muscles-Oh yes this man was definitely making her drool. This Anzu confirmed.

"Well thank-you, and maybe we can talk later after the show." Yugi face was adorned with a sweet smile, that did something to Atem heart, pulling the shorter girl in for a tight hug. Too bad, that standing right behind the two was Yami, who eyes lock with wide eyed Yugi.

"Ya-Chaos Magician." Atem heard Yugi murmured, releasing her, turning his head back only to lock into a glaring competition with Yami. You could practically feel the sparks, and electricity, that was flying between the two, the air so thick that it could suffocate someone.

"A-Ano. . excuse me, but you t-two are s-s-scheduled to g-go on now." Stuttered the frightened boy, who was sent to delivered the news.

"Thank-you!" Smiled Anzu, wave the blushing boy off with a smile. Yep, he was a fan of hers, and even though she wanted to know what was going on between the three inside and outside her dressing room, but they had a show to do.

"Sorry to interupted with whatever going on here, but if you excuse us we have show to do." Anzu said politely, dragging a clueless Yugi outside the door. Soon there was only Atem and Yami left in the hall. Not either of the two said a word, before going different ways to watch the performance.

The stage the girls were performing, takes place in a dark orange themed town, acting as the backdrop. The performers were to stands on dark orange building with brown stripes, and acorns and pumpkins. On each side of the building are gold lined windows, along with four, thinner windows with brown panels on the side.

The double doors are brown, while on each side of the building are windows with pink objects depicted inside, along with a pale orange and purple striped awning. The roof of the building is orange with dark teal lining, and on each side of the building is a tree with bright autumn leaves. Scattered around the stage are pumpkins, flower boxes, and small pink and yellow themed tables. The runway is composed of yellow, pale brown, pale pink, beige, and tan bricks; autumn theme trees lined outside the runway.

Appearing on stage, the crowd cheered once they saw it was Chibi Magician and Anzu. Anzu was wearing a denim blue top with a silver zipper located on top of a thin black strip. The chest portion is shaped as a big bow. Lining the bottom of this top is a gradience ruffled material of, orange, beige, and brown. On top of the shirt is a single black strap that goes over each shoulder with black, a black scrunchie piece above each elbow, sheer material on top of the revealed skin, connecting to a black collar. On each sleeve is vibrant orange material. A pair of light red-orange fingerless gloves with black lining for each finger hole.

Denim shorts worn with a black belt accented with tiny triangle pieces and a big gold loop. On each outer side of the leg is orange material ribbon held on a gold piece. Denim heels with a row of studs going across the toe and a zipper-strip going up the center. On top of each shoe sits two layers of ruffled material; a mixture of red and orange hues, with minor adjustments in positioning depending on which foot. On each leg is sheer stocking with a unique pattern and a solid black cuff on top and a thin, single piece of material to keep them up. On the right leg are many black pumpkins designs, while on the left leg are many black leaf patterns.

For Idol Gem Accessories; Make-Up Gem: She had on black eyeliner with light orange eyes shadow, and light pink lips gloss. Orange colored nails, with orange pumpkins, outlined in black. Hair Gem: Hair shoulder length brunette locks, had a few light curls running through it. Jewelry Gem: A simple gold chain necklace, with orange, red, and dark orange triangle shapes. Hair Accessory Gem: A light orange bow, with a pumpkins in the center, pin on the side of her head.

Yugi was wearing a cardigan top composed of a pale pink with many orange pumpkins, and sparkly green, orange, and brown leaves, are randomly printed on the top. Over the upper torso is a short light denim-blue piece of ruffled material with four small pearl buttons. The collar is white with beige writing on it.

A three layer skirt with a brown belt held by a gold buckle. The top layer is light blue denim with a single tied bow on both the left and right side. The pockets are white with beige writing, while the left pocket has a row of tiny pearls and a single orange pumpkin. The two layers beneath it are orange-pale pink. They both have a print fall leaves.

Cork wedge-styled shoes with a orange pumpkin on the side of each heel. The straps on top of the foot are denim-blue, with the right foot holding an autumn leaf accessory attached to it. The heel has bright brown covering, attached to the ankle strap.

For Idol Gem Accessories; Make-Up Gem: She had on black eyeliner with pale-pink and orange eyes shadow, and light pink lip-gloss. Pale orange colored nails, with orange/pink pumpkins. Hair Gem: Hair pulled into a long braid over her shoulder. Jewelry Gem: A gold chain necklace with a pink heart, orange pumpkin, and leaf hanging from it; with a matching bracelets, and gold anklet chain. Hair Accessory Gem: A cute pumpkin hair pin, with the pumpkin showing a smile with pink heart for eyes.

The two started to dance, Duel Aura shining brightly, smile on their faces as they started their performance. The expression on the their faces, along with their jolly, fresh, presence lifting up the spirits of the audience.

Anzu with her pink Duel Aura shining, begin to perform her Idol Gem Effect: Stepping up, as a bunch of leaves swirl around, lifting her up in the air, as she did a bunch of fun looking flips, and cartwheels in the sky, before landing on a large pile of autumn leaves, that soon turn into pink heart idol gems, before bursting into small different shade of pink heart gems, while she posed in mid-air.

Yugi took center stage with her Idol Aura glowing brightly, also activating her Idol Gem Effect. Happily jumping from large autumn leaf pile, to autumn leaf pile, before falling down through one, surrounded by nothing of fall sweet, a candy apple in her hands, that once she take a bite out of it, sparkly purple and yellow spade gems appeared all around her.

The audience had their eyes glued to the two girls, once they saw both them shining brightly, before suddenly the unexpected happened. Showing both Yugi and Anzu hopping on top of huge different color Idol Gems, while in the bright blue sky, reaching higher and higher into the sky, jumping on the last gem, holding hands, before the gems burst into many small sparkly gems, posing while in the sky, hands still connected. "Idol Sky Gem Burst!" The exclaimed, to the everyone else shock, as they just pulled off a Pair Duel Effect.

"Wow, what a spectacular and great performance all are idols put on. But their was only one group that stole the world away and that was. . . . .The Idol Unit Group, Anzu-chan, and Taicho-chan! The winners of the Autumn Fall Celebration!" Announced the host, this earning a loud cheer from the crowd, and a hand-clap from the rest of the competitors. Both Anzu and Yugi bowed, happy to be the winners, receiving their prize, as on their way back, both of them had something on their mind.

'What was that feeling I experience back then?' Anzu asked herself, having a flashback of the Pair Duel Effect, she did with Yugi. Yugi was thinking of the same thing, when she suddenly had a flashback with her meeting with Atem.

'Wait a minute. . . .When he met me, he called me Little One?. . .A name he only called me when I'm Yugi, NOT Chibi Magician!' That was when Yugi looked at herself, reminding herself that she in her idol identity, not herself, yet why did Atem all her that unless. . .

'Oh no!. . .And does this seem like a sense of Deja vu?' Yugi place her hands in her head, while Anzu open the door to their dressing room, but once inside both figures froze, once they saw they weren't the only ones in the room. Yugi amethyst eyes held pure confusion, while Anzu was pure shock, eyes wided.

"D-Dartz-san!"
