Chapter Four: Promises

Year: 1715
Jay was with his feets on the cold water of the waterfall, enjoying the fish swim through his legs. A peace sensation was all that he could feel. He always got inspired to do inventions. And today, he was planning in give Nya something that costed the whole night for him to do.
A cute music box.
He tried to do it with all of his strenght, and he got really pleased with what he got.
"Jay? Are you there?" The orange-brown haired boy turned to see his princess passing through the bushes to see him. The black-haired princess looked at him with tears on her eyes, and her eyes almost red of too much crying. Jay immediatelly jumped out ot the water and embraced her.
"Nya, what's wrong?" He asked, hugging her. "You know you can tell me."
"M-My parents... t-they died... on... a boat..." Her voice was trembling, and the tears got falling from her face. Jay got shocked. He just couldn't believe. The king and queen... dead... He embraced Nya way more, hugging her and conforting her.

Prince Kai, now the soon-to-be-king, was sitting at a chair on one of the biggest rooms of the castle. But he wanted to be all alone, he was crying a lot and his anger only increased. His tears could make a pool, and he did even skipped lunch that day only because of the notice. He was angry. He was depressed. He was cursing all the seas that existed in the world.
He really hated the oceans and seas.
"Why? Why? It wasn't their time! It isn't fair!" Those were the only things he could ever scream until he heard the door knock.
"Y-Your majesty... a-are you there?" A feminine voice got on his ears.
"G-GO AWAY!" The soon-to-be-king screamed. But the woman opened the door anyways, not caring if she could be decapited. The king's health and happiness were not on him, so she had to do something. And this and the fact that she cared about him.
"Your majesty! Can't you see that you need to eat? I know you're sad, but... we can't stop what happened. I also did not wanted them to die, but you gotta stay strong. For them. For your sister. It was the promise you made, didn't you?" The young italian maid looked at him. Kai's tears kept falling, but he remembered the promise that he made to his parents.
"I promise to stay strong for you, for my sister, no matter what!" His baby voice them echoed into his mind.
"S-Sophia... y-you're right... b-but..."
"No buts, your majesty. You need to eat. I'm gonna ask Laura to do something. Is it good for you?"
He hesited a little before nodding. "Yes, thank you. And also... can you call someone to call Nya? I really need time with the remaining of my family."
Sophia smiled a little before nodding back. "Of course. I'm going to call the mensager." And then she leaved.
All that Kai wanted that time was his little sister's hug.

"I didn't, sorry." A light blonde maid said, looking into Cole's eyes, alongside her sister with only shorter hair. "Why are you seraching for her like crazy, if I can ask you that..."
"You can't!" He said coldly, and was almost going to slap her of pure anger. And with the strenght that he had... it wouldn't end beautifully for her. Usually he would have way more honor than now, but the jealousy consomed his whole.
"What the hell is going on here? Stay away from my stepsisters, you bastard!" Another girl, this time with dirty blonde hair said, grabbing a knife, but then looking that he was way stronger than her, she backed off. The girl was more to tranquility, but I say, no one can mess with her family. "What do you want here?"
The raven-haired guy looked at the third girl. "I only wanna know where Princess Nya is. She's in danger."
"Princess Nya? I saw her entering the woods... only this. But why-"
Before she could ask, he had leaved. The owner of the shop, Mystake, looked at the three girls and at the door.
"I'll never understand these people close to royalty... some of them are a bunch of bastards only because they're rich..." The old woman said, leaving to the inside of the store. The dirty blonde sighed. This day just couldn't get more strange.

Nya then had stopped crying, but she still was sad. Sitting with Jay on the water.
"Nya, I know this isn't the best time, but... I wanted to give you this..." He handed, blushing, the music box to her. She looked at it before getting it from her hands. When she opened the box, it was she and him dancing. She smiled and tears stared falling. "I-It's terrible and silly, isn't it? I knew you wasn't going to like and..."
"Jay... I loved it! You just made my day a little better..."
"I knew and- what? Oh... thank you..."
"Do you promise never leaving me?"
He got a little surprised by the promise, but then smiled and took her hands.
"Yes!"

A/N: I actually put a mistake on the last chapter and wrote that Kai was the king instead of a prince. Corrected it on this chapter. And ALSO, two OCs of mine appeared again! One I just said who it was, but the other... you guys gotta guess.
