Sorry for not updating. I'm not going to say I was busy since I had nothing to do, I just didn't know what to write.

This is basically just a filler chapter. I apologize if it is lame, I really didn't know what to write so I had just wrote anything and hoped it made sense.

Again, thank you all for being so patient and for following/favoring this story and all my other stories.

I DO NOT OWN THE TWILIGHT SERIES, NOR DO I OWN HARRY POTTER. I CAN BARELY WRITE AS IT IS.

This is very unbetaed.

We could be immortals~ Fall Out Boy

France
July 31, 1887

It was raining when Harlan woke up. He couldn't help but sigh.

'What a glorious way to start.' He thought. He couldn't help but miss his family.

He had separated from Draco 2 years ago. He didn't want to be a burden to his friend, his brother. Though he had made sure he sent something for his birthdays.

Harlan got out of the bed and moved into the kitchen. He had been staying with an nomadic vampire he had met on his travels. They had met when Harlan had wondered into the woods last Christmas.

"When will you be moving again?" He asked the brunette.

"I do not know." He answered, his eyes locked on a letter in his hand. "It is your day of birth, correct?"

"Yes." Harlan said simply.

"Why won't you celebrate it?"

"Ever since the death of my parents, it has been hard to be happy." Harlan said sadly. "There's no reason to celebrate when you are alone."

"But, you're not alone. You have me and Draco. You have you're family." The vampire protested.

"For how long? How long before my family dies out? How long before you and Draco get tired of me?" He asked softly, tears glistening in his eyes.

"There's one thing I've learned since becoming a vampire." He started, "and thats to always keep those that you can close." He explained.

"But, what if they don't want to be close? What if they want you to stay far away from them?"

"Then you watch over then from afar. We can not control how we feel, we can only control what we do."

Harlan nodded, "alright then."

"Go put on something proper, I wish to show you something." The brunette commanded.

Harlan walked next to the vampire, his hair lossely braided down his back.

"Where are you taking me?" He asked.

"I wish to show you something." He said instead of answering.

Harlan sighed and followed him.

The pair walked until they stopped in front of the beginning of a construction. It seemed like they had already started on the base of the contraction.

"What is this?" Harlan asked.

"This will be a new beginning for you. Humans build things to remember something. Be it history, a family member, or culture. I wish for you to visit here whenever you feel like you are a burden." The vampire explained.

"But, why?" Harlan asked, confused.

"It will show you that even though they struggled to build this structure, they still went for it."

"So, this will be my saving grace?"

"If you wish for it to be. You are not a burden, and it is time you see that." The vampoire insisted. "You will find the one who will be there for you. Who will never complain."

"And when will that be?"

"When the time is right." The vampire let out a humanlike sigh. "You will need your family like they will need you."

"If my family did not write me, then they do not need me." Harlan said, a frown on his face.

"There are more than one type of family. The ones born from your blood, and the ones you make along the way."

"Thank you. But, I do not think that will be anytime soon." Harlan sighed.

The vampire only rolled his eyes, exasperated.

He turned away from the construction and started to walked back the way they came.

Q. Why is it a bad thing to tell a Vampire to get a life?

A. Because they might decide to take YOURS.

Sorry again, I just don't know what to write and it will take me a loooooong time to ever have a proper update time, but since its summer I will try my best to update on Fridays or Saturdays.
