Chapter 5

Knowing Each Other

It was a beautiful day in Asgard but Frigga couldn't see it. More likely she didn't have the time or will to look at it. She was sure even if she looked at it right now, she wouldn't see the beauty of this day. She was sitting with her family and eating breakfast. Normally she would be grateful for this rare moment. They were all too busy to spend quality time with each other. She didn't even see her husband before bed these days. She knew it wasn't his fault. Odin was making the necessary preparations for Thor's crowning and it was taking all of his time without Eostre's help. Now, Frigga could clearly see how much their daughter helped Odin organize the kingdom. Frigga knew Eostre had taken some of Odin's burden but she never thought it was this much. Without Eostre's help, Odin didn't have the time to scratch his head. She didn't know what to feel about this information.

Breakfast was another failure. The food was as delicious as ever but the atmosphere wasn't allowing her to enjoy it. Loki was brooding while playing with his food, his displeasure was showing on his face. Frigga knew he didn't wish to be here. On the other hand, Thor didn't have the same problem but she was sure Thor was eating more than normal. It only happened when he was angry and watching him tear his breakfast to pieces was more proof of his anger. Most likely yesterday's hunt didn't go well for both of them. She could see they didn't wish to talk about it so she avoided bringing up the matter. They were grateful for what their mother was doing. She looked at her husband who was as stiff as a rock. Only his body was here. She didn't want to know what he was thinking.

The tension in the room was suffocating. The servants had already run away from the room and Frigga couldn't even blame them for running away like cowards. She just envied them. The situation was bringing old memories back. The old times she just realized, she had happily forgotten until now. It was the times before Eostre was born. Frigga was the Goddess of marriage and prophecy but most people had forgotten she was also considered the goddess of fertility. Being declared as infertile after Thor's birth had destroyed her. Her world had crashed around her. In her grief clouded mind, she had neglected her son. She was ashamed to admit it but she hadn't spent too much time with Thor in his childhood. It wasn't so hard to see why Thor favored his father.

Frigga could still remember the day Odin had brought Loki. He had been so small and hungry. His cries had called her. She didn't know what possessed her that day. She had taken Loki from her husband's hand and refused to give him back, destroying Odin's plan to give him to an old couple. She knew Odin never wished to have Loki in his family. She could understand him. He was a king before a father. Even then for his wife, he had taken Loki in and he had tried to love him as his son. Loki was her pride and joy while Thor was Odin's pride. Their family times had always been tense so they had cut their family time.

Her daughter was their little miracle. Eostre was the one who made them a real family. She was the bridge of the family. They all loved her and she loved them back. Now, Frigga could see that if she wasn't with them, they were falling apart.

"Father!" Thor called, drawing everyone's attention to himself. "I want to visit my sister with your permission"

"No!" Frigga yelled without thinking. Seeing their shocked face, she coughed. "I mean we promised your sister some alone time with only herself. It wouldn't be right to break it, right my love?" she asked, looking directly at Odin's eyes. Her eyes were warning him.

"Your mother is right," Odin said forcefully. You could see how much it was paining him to admit this. If Odin had his own way, he would march to Metrom and take his daughter but he knew Frigga and Eostre wouldn't be happy and they would show it in the most painful way. He was a smart man so he needed to run away before a discussion could begin. "I will be in the throne room."

"I am going to the library" Loki announced. He was grateful this torture session was over.

"I am going to find the Warriors Three" Thor declared.

Frigga watched them all to leave the room. She sighed. They left her in here without asking if she would like to accompany any of them. She would like to go to the library. At least she has managed to distract them from going after Eostre. It wasn't like she didn't miss her own daughter. She just knew Eostre needed her space too. Calling her would be nice but Frigga didn't have any alone time. Even in her bedroom, she had her handmaid. Alone! The word struck her mind. She looked around. The room was empty. She was alone. No one was in the room or near the room. Most likely servants and her guardians were waiting for her to come outside. She smiled.

"Perfect!" Frigga took out a mirror. It was her daughter's invention. She had said it was called a two-way mirror. You only needed to say the name and the mirrors will allow you to talk with each other. Right now only Frigga and Eostre had one for obvious reasons. Touching the mirror she called her daughter.

Eostre was getting ready for the day. Doing nothing for four days was too much for her body. She needed action. Normally when she felt like this, she would go hunting or have a mock fight with her brothers. They were out of her reach so she decided to run around the beach. It would be a good work out for a holiday. At least her body wouldn't be slacking off.

She was wearing tight black leggings, a white sports bra, and a black oversized V-neck top. She was glad her father and brothers couldn't see her right now or they would try to gouge out every man's eyes. She wouldn't mind too much but cleaning up after them was a nightmare.

Before she could leave her room, her mirror glowed informing her someone was calling. She had recreated two-way mirrors so they could communicate easily and securely. Right now only two people had a mirror other than her, her mother and Death. Death wouldn't call her while he knew she was alone. The other option was her mother. Eostre hadn't believed she would be able to call her.

Taking the mirror she activated it with her touch. Her face on the mirror changed to her mothers. Eostre could see Frigga was in the dining room. "Mother!"

"My daughter, I hope you are having a great time." her voice was calm and distant like always but Eostre could tell she was angry.

"It's amazingly boring." She said, sitting on the chair.

"Sometimes slowing down and doing nothing is the right way."

"It's just different," Eostre confessed. "I didn't realize I was working so much until now."

"Me neither!" This vacation was helping everyone to see how much of a burden Eostre really had. "I hope you will give some of your responsibilities to your brothers."

"I would give them all of it if it would make them happy." but Thor loathed responsibility and Loki wished to have Thor's. In the end, she had taken their burdens while they had fought with each other.

"Soon Thor will take his responsibilities as heir of Asgard."

"How are preparations going?" Eostre was glad she wasn't the one to deal with it.

"Making your father more unbearable" Frigga forced a smile on her face.

"Mother, are you well?" Eostre asked hesitantly. An angry Frigga wasn't someone you wished to mess with but as a good daughter, she needed to ask this. At least Eostre knew it wasn't her fault.

"Of course I am fine. Why wouldn't I be?" Nope, she wasn't fine. "Your father ignores me for work and your brothers, they didn't even ask if I wished to accompany them. At least they could ask me about my day but…" A knock on the door cut her rant. "Are you waiting for anyone?"

"No?" her answer came out like a question. She didn't order anything or she didn't know anyone except one person. She hoped it wasn't him.

"Eostre!" Frigga warned her.

"I didn't believe he would come" Eostre defended herself.

"He?" That wasn't good. Not, at all. Not only did Thor and Loki not like any male coming close to their sister, but her husband also encouraged them to destroy those men. It was the only time Loki and Thor actually worked together.

"Yes, he" Eostre looked at her pointedly. It wasn't hard to guess what her mother was thinking right now. "We met accidentally. He offered to be my guide around here."

"And you accepted it," Frigga said, disbelievingly.

"I was bored" 'and wasn't thinking' she thought. "I should go. Have a nice day mother."

Without waiting for a reply she deactivated her mirror. Taking a deep breath, she opened the door and came face to face with a grinning Tony Stark.

"Great, you are ready" Tony clapped his hands after checking her out.

"For what?"

"For a day with me" Tony had planned everything carefully for today so he could have another day with her.

Eostre snorted. She couldn't help it. "I don't believe anyone can be ready for that"

"I believe it is the opposite," Tony confessed without reserve. He had only spent one day with her but it was enough for him to know she was special. It was him who was the lucky one for having her attention. "No one can be ready for your attention."

"Then why you are here, asking for it?" Tony Stark was raising her curiosity and she knew he was doing this intentionally. Even knowing this, she was playing his game.

"I'm Tony Stark" Tony made sure to make that statement sound as condescending as he possibly could.

"Arrogant?"

"It is not arrogance if it is true."

"Nice logic. I will definitely tell this to my brothers. I believe they will like it." It fit Thor and Loki perfectly. Really the three of them would get along with each other perfectly.

After hearing the word 'brothers', a shiver traveled around his body. He didn't know why and he didn't wish to know. Brothers were protective of their little sister, he knew this. He just didn't understand why he felt like a little bug who felt like someone will crush it after hearing the words brother or father from her pretty mouth. "Shall we go?" he asked, extending his hand.

"We shall," she said, laying her hand on his hand gently.

Her hand was touching his hand barely but Tony could feel her hand's warmth like they were holding hands. Even her hands were beautiful. 'Long fingers, perfect nails, smooth skin…focus Tony' Tony slapped himself mentally. Losing his mind wouldn't earn him points from her.

Tony took her to his house. He knew he had promised her to show her around but he had felt possessive about their time together. He was a busy man and he knew he couldn't see her too much before she went back to her home so he wished to spend as much time as he could with her alone. After seeing her he was sure everyone would agree with his logic.

"I already know you have a nice home Stark," Eostre said after entering his house.

"Welcome back Miss Eostre"

"Thanks, Jarvis!" Hearing the British accent was making her feel nostalgic.

"Yes, thanks Jarvis" Tony was annoyed. He knew it was stupid. After all, Jarvis was a computer, his own creation but was it really necessary to intervene their moment?

"The gym room is ready as you wish sir."

And his surprise was gone just like that. His own AI was against him. Maybe, Tony should check its programming. After all, he was sure, he didn't create him to be suicidal.

"Gym?"

The cat was out of the box. He put a charming smile on his face. "You said tomorrow."

"So you really wish to feel the beat down I will give you."

His smile widen. "So sure you will win."

"I was five when I began to learn martial arts and it was a really long time ago the last time someone managed to win against me." Even Eostre didn't remember who that person was. Most likely it was one of her teachers.

"I am not someone to underestimate" He was Iron Man. In the past, he had done sports for staying fit. After being Iron Man, it was a necessity. While the suit wasn't heavy, Tony needed to be strong for moving easily in his suit.

"I am not" Eostre could see he was taking good care of his body. She wasn't blind. She also knew she couldn't use her powers but it was the same for Tony too. "I just know my strength."

"And you call me arrogant."

"I thought it wasn't arrogance if it was true." She used his words against him.

"It's not. You are learning fast."

"Lucky me!"

"Shall we my lady?" Holding his hand up Tony bowed.

"We shall," Eostre said, taking his hand.

The walk to his own gym was too short for his taste. He wished he had more time. He allowed her to look around. Eostre knew most of the things in the room from her old memories and movies she had watched with Death. The room was large and had open windows. There was too much sports equipment in the room. She dismissed them, all but one. A boxing ring was standing near the window. Without saying anything she walked to the ring and entered it. Tony was behind her.

"Stretch your body Stark." It wasn't a real fight so no need to put unnecessary pressure on their muscles.

"Your wish is my command."

Eostre watched Tony while she was stretching her body. His movements were giving her a clear idea of his knowledge in martial arts. She was sure he didn't learn from a Master. He was self-taught. Most likely he learned from experience. Now, she had an idea for stopping her boredom. She can turn this fight into a learning experience for him.

Tony was nervous. He could feel her eyes on him and he knew she knew it. Tony didn't know how but she knew he was self-taught. Tony always loved boxing but that was all. He had forced Happy to fight with him and had learned counter attacks from these fights. You could say he had his own style. He hoped he wouldn't look like a fool in front of her.

Eostre turned towards him with anticipation. Getting the signal, Tony took his fighting position. His muscles were tight.

"Relax! Tightening your muscles will slow your response time." Eostre advised, beginning her lesson.

Tony loosed his body and waited but Eostre wasn't attacking him. Men should make the first move right? Tony was a gentleman when it came to women so he attacked, making the first move. Lifting his right hand as a diversion, he sent a punch with his left hand.

Eostre saw it before Tony made his move. Calmly she just stepped aside. "Your left hand is weak. Don't use it if you cannot put enough power into it."

'That little minx' Tony thought. He had used his left hand on purpose. He was scared of hurting her. "I thought it was a fight, not a lesson."

"I can multitask." She said, shrugging her shoulder. A sly grin appeared on her face. "If you cannot, I can stop."

"Nope, I am king of multitasking."

"Then why you are standing there."

She was definitely a minx. Once again Tony attacked. This time he sent a strong kick, not holding himself back. Jumping back Eostre got out of his line of attack. A punch followed her. Eostre immediately turned around. Her hair touched his face lightly. Her unique smell filled his nose. It was a great distraction but Tony held himself. They were in a middle of a fight. Thinking of her soft hair's caressing his face wasn't helping him. But it was so soft. Tony wanted to touch it again. He wished to brush it too and he didn't know where that idea came from. He never brushed his own hair. A pain from his left leg finished his mental fight.

Eostre's right foot was pressurizing his lower leg. "Broken!" she claimed. If it wasn't a friendly fight, she would really break it. "Don't let your opponent out of your sight Tony."

Rather than answering her, Tony used his left leg to throw her away. Using his leg as a springboard, she jumped, turning head over heels in the air, she landed on her feet. Tony followed her to attack her, not giving her a time to rest. Tony sent punches and kicks to her without pausing but Eostre defeated his every move easily. She was jumping left, right, back and turning around. Her feet were barely touching the ground. It was like she was dancing. It was elegant and Tony never knew fighting could be this graceful. Even Romanoff couldn't fight like Eostre. Tony wondered who would win a fight with each other. Tony would bet all of his money on Eostre. Romanoff was too arrogant to take Eostre seriously. A mistake she would pay for dearly. Fury believed Tony was too full of himself to be part of a team but he forgot so were the others. At least Tony accepted all of his faults.

"Fight back!" Tony ordered losing his cool. Thinking about Fury and Romanoff was bringing bad memories up.

"In a fight, it doesn't matter how much you hit your opponent. The only thing that matters is if your opponent is down or not after the hit." Eostre wasn't attacking until she would pick up his moves so she could analyze his style. "And getting angry is the quickest way to lose."

"I am not angry at you." Tony felt he ought to explain.

"I know. Your mind isn't on the game Tony." Maybe it was time to finish this fight.

Evading Tony's next punch Eostre clutched his wrist. Holding tightly she threw him to the ground. One second Tony was standing the next second he was lying on the floor.

"It's over"

Tony tried to get up but Eostre pushed him back down with her foot. Tony tried not to think about how sexy she looked.

"Breakfast?" Tony asked, admitting his defeat without really saying it.

"Sounds good" Lifting her foot, she held her hand out. Gripping her hand Tony stood up. Their bodies were almost touching each other. They could feel each other breaths on their faces. Tony was tempted to kiss her red lips but he restrained himself. Holding her hand Tony guided her to the kitchen. Normally, he would take her out but his body refused the idea of moving too much. Even now his muscles were on fire.

"Hot water and rest will solve your body's problem. I am not sure how to help your ego." Eostre said. She was trying to not look at their hands but it was harder than she thought. She was glad she didn't blush.

"I thought you said you had two brothers. Never won against them or never fight with them?" Tony asked curiously. He wished to know more about her.

Eostre couldn't stop the smile appearing on her face even if she tried. Losing against her idiot brothers was a funny idea. She loved them but it didn't change they were egotistical idiots. "No, I just believe their egos need a beat down regularly so I never care."

Tony gulped. Without permission, his mind conjured the picture of Eostre standing before two beaten up faceless man. "Most people believe my ego needs the same treatment."

Eostre narrowed her eyes. Her brothers were arrogant but the problem with them was they were also extremely selfish. Tony didn't give her the impression of selfishness like them. No, he was using a mask to hide his real personality and emotions. Eostre could see it just from knowing him for two days. Did no one look behind his mask? She would never understand the human mind.

"Then I need to disagree with them."

"You don't know me well" Tony pointed out. His mind and heart were fighting against her sweet words. No one accepted him as himself. He couldn't let his guard down or his heart would break without a way to fix it.

"I don't need to know your life story to know you. Life itself shapes us, Tony. Your eyes, your posture, your words, and your beliefs are showing the life you lived. You just need to know how to read it."

"You can?" Tony teased. He couldn't stop himself.

"Maybe next time we should play 'who can read the other person best?'" Eostre teased back.

"I loved the way you said 'next time.'"

"If you wish to continue hearing it, I suggest feeding me before I begin to think you are a bad host," Eostre advised.

"We cannot have that" Tony opened his fridge, looked inside and closed it. His mind was already finding a solution to his problem. "So I am taking you out."

"I am already outside Tony."

Logic! Tony never thought he would hate logic but right now he had. "but you aren't in the best place for breakfast" he tried lamely to convince her.

She didn't even bother to point out how lame his excuses were. Passing him, she opened the fridge before he could stop her. He had a really big fridge but inside it was almost empty. Eggs, two bottles of milk, half butter, tomatoes, cucumber, and some fruits. Decision was made.

"Do you have any flour?" Eostre asked while she was taking out everything and putting them on the kitchen counter.

"Huh!" was Tony's intelligent answer. His mind couldn't process what she was doing at the moment.

Eostre sighed. Tony wasn't helpful so she needed to ask someone else. "Jarvis?"

"On your left side"

Opening the cabinet, she found out flour, sugar, salt, baking powder and syrup. Good, she had everything for a delicious pancake. "Jarvis, the frying pan?"

"Under the stove"

She put flour, sugar, salt baking powder, milk, egg, and butter to an inside of a large bowl and mixed them well until it was smooth. Heating the frying pan, she poured batter onto the pan. Tony was watching her every move. He was mesmerized. No one had cooked for him, especially in his own kitchen. She looked like she owned the place. It felt like it was where she belonged. For the first time in his life, Tony Stark was daydreaming. It was dangerous, he knew it but he couldn't help it.

Eostre looked at her reflection in the large mirror. She wasn't a vain person or had issues with her looks. She was always comfortable within her body but right now she was feeling uneasy and she knew it was because of what she was wearing. She had bought this dress just a few hours ago for dinner. She had spent almost all of this morning looking for a dress she would normally wear. Of course, Earth didn't have anything close to her clothes. It wasn't a surprise for her but Eostre had hoped she could have found something similar.

In her casual wear, Eostre never cared how revealing her clothes was because she only wore them with her family or in her kingdom. Formally she wore gowns. At parties, Eostre had seen women wore revealing gowns but she preferred to cover her body. She knew she was beautiful and it was enough for her. Her father and brothers agreed with her too. On Earth, she was obliged to wear this world's clothes so she conjured simple jeans and blouses but she cloaked herself with her powers so no one looked at her. She had used the same trick while she had been having a breakfast with Tony. Unfortunately Tony was really a smart man and he would suspect something wasn't right if she used her powers too much so she couldn't use them. It should be another reason for her to not continue to see him. Unfortunately, her mind didn't agree with her logic. She remembered why she was wearing this dress.

They were eating their pancakes and Tony had to admit it was the most delicious pancake he had ever eaten. He wished their time together would never end but he knew it wasn't possible. Today was the last day of the weekend and tomorrow he had work.

"Tomorrow I will be busy." Tony shared his displeasure with her.

"How can I live with that?" her voice was full of sarcasm. "Poor me!"

"I know, how someone can live without seeing my handsome face, I never know." he agreed with her, ignoring her sarcasm.

"I will find a way"

"I already did it for you. Dinner at seven, I will come to get you," his face was saying he wouldn't take 'No' as an answer.

Now, she was standing before the mirror in a dilemma. After trying on so many clothes she had picked a simple black dress. The dress was long sleeved and ended under her knees. Front and back of the dress were a V-shape but it wasn't too deep so it wasn't revealing anything. The problem was the dress wrapped her body perfectly. Eostre had tried more loose dresses but they looked funny on her. Knowing she couldn't use her powers to hide herself, she felt exposed.

"You look stunning," A voice said behind her.

Eostre saw Death appearing in her room from the mirror so she didn't react to his voice. "I feel too exposed."

"Believe me, it is in a good way." Death said sincerely.

"I guess" She was still unsure.

Death sighed. He could understand her dilemma but even wearing a gown wouldn't change the outcome. Eostre's beauty didn't have a rival. People couldn't stop looking at her when she was wearing her most modest gown. He didn't voice his thought. Looking around the room his eyes caught a black jewelry box standing on the table. Without asking permission he picked up the box and opened it.

"It is a simple necklace, I bought for tonight." She explained, seeing what drew his attention.

"Simple?" Death looked at the necklace again. A medium-sized pearl-shaped ruby was surrounded by diamonds and diamonds were going from both sides to the end of the necklace. The price for it would be a small fortune but he could see it from her point of view. Eostre wasn't only a powerful Goddess but she was also the princess of Asgard and Queen of Metrom. At formal parties, jewels adorned her hair, her neck, her ears, and her arms. Even gold and silver decorated her dresses. The jewels she owned were most likely enough to buy Earth. When you looked at it like that the necklace was simple. Taking the necklace he banished the box. Gently he put it around her neck. The necklace fit perfectly. "Perfect, Tony won't take his eyes off you."

"And why should I care?" Eostre never cared about other people before, so Tony shouldn't be different from them. She knew it was a lie but she refused to accept the truth.

"Because he is the first person who managed to catch your interest." Death stated, already enjoying where this conversation was going.

"Bullshit!" Realizing she used a bad world, she coughed to hide her mistake. "I mean many people have caught my interest. You know that runemaster or that sword master…"

Death couldn't stop himself even if he wished to so his laugh filled the room. "You, interested?" He laughed harder. "No, my dear, their creations caught your attention not them."

"Tony is an inventor too." Eostre defended herself.

"Yes, but you didn't go to a dinner with others just because their invention made you curious."

"Tony is persistent. Others knew what would happen to them if they even suggested it." She wasn't only talking about what her brothers or father would do to them. Their demise would be from her own hands. She was vicious when she was angry. Tony was a human and she was on vacation. It was the only reason why she didn't do anything to him.

Death snorted. Maybe he needed to be brutally honest with her. Tony Stark was a good choice for his mistress. After all even he found him interesting and he was Death so giving his mistress a push wouldn't be a bad idea. "In his own words Tony is a genius, billionaire, playboy, philanthropist and you don't care about the playboy part because it is just an act."

"And?" She didn't understand what he was trying to say.

"He is just like you and you know it. You are a millennium years old Goddess and as a mere human, he got your attention. Something even your family failed to manage. Don't get me wrong. You love them but other than me, no one succeeded in attracting your attention. Open your eyes Eostre, you don't need to spend your eternity alone."

"I can't!" His words were tempting but she needed to resist it. "He is a human."

"And you are my mistress. You are a God among Gods Eostre. Do you really believe I would claim your lover's soul?" Eostre didn't have an answer to his question. "No Mistress, like you he will live until the end of the universe, so pick carefully."

"You are saying I should pick carefully but you are matching me with him." This conversation was increasing her curiosity about Tony and it wasn't a good thing. She was too curious for her own good.

"Do you know what his nickname was before?"

"You know I don't"

"Merchant of Death!"

"Tony?" Eostre asked disbelievingly. He needed to have done really bad things for others to call him that. Even Mad Titan Thanos didn't have that kind of name and he was obsessed with Death. She shuddered. She had met him three times and it was too much.

"Before shutting down, his company was building weapons and he was the one who built stronger ones. What a funny reason to call someone with that kind of name, right mistress?"

"Humans are really stupid." Eostre agreed with Death. Weapons were just a tool.

"Yes, and he is different from all of them." Death tried to convince her.

"If I say I will give him a chance, will you shut up?" Eostre caved. Fighting against Death was impossible. Death grinned, agreeing with her non-verbally. She just wished to wipe that grin from his face. "I am leaving. Don't watch!"

"Ahh, you are taking my fun away."

Taking her purse she left her room without saying anything. She knew he wouldn't listen to her but she didn't have time to argue with him. It was almost seven. Tony had insisted on coming upstairs but she had refused his offer.

In the elevator, Eostre checked herself in the mirror one more time. She was still feeling a little bit uncomfortable in this dress but after her talk with Death, her mind was too busy to care. With a click sound the elevator door opened. Immediately her indifferent mask was on her face. She could feel as nervous or uncomfortable as she wished but it would never be reflected on her face. Leaving the elevator her emerald eyes searched the familiar form of Tony and found it.

Tony was sitting on the leather chair lazily, holding a glass full of whiskey. Waiting wasn't his strongest point. He was Tony Stark. Others were the one who waited on him but he was also a genius. He knew when to make a compromise and Eostre deserved it. He knew this dinner was a changing point for them. If he couldn't impress her, Tony knew he would never see her again and he didn't know why even thinking of that was hurting his heart.

Tony felt her before he saw her. She was radiating a strong energy around her. You couldn't miss it. A mystery Tony was eager to solve. Standing up he turned around and his brown eyes immediately found her green ones. His heart stopped. Beautiful wasn't enough to describe her right now. Magnificent, extraordinary or fantastic would be much better but he wasn't sure of it. He was grateful his plan for tonight didn't including other people seeing her or he would take her to his house and order a pizza. At least the hotel's lobby wasn't crowded.

"Jarvis erase every footage about her" Tony ordered before Eostre came to his side.

"Do you want a copy sir?" his perfect and understanding AI asked. It was a great idea. Something Tony didn't think of himself.

"Yes!" Tony agreed and ended his conversation with his AI. Eostre was standing two-step away from him. It wouldn't do. Closing the gap, he took her hand gently and kissed it. "My Lady!"

"Are you playing perfect gentleman Mr. Stark?" Eostre teased him.

Tony made himself looked offended. "Me" He put his hand on his heart. "I am always a perfect gentleman."

"Then I met a different Tony Stark."

"There can be only one Tony Stark in the world and you are staring at him," Tony said arrogantly.

"Finally the Tony Stark I know." Eostre smiled and her smile unknowingly brightened the room. Tony was better when he was himself.

Her smile was enough to lighten up his mood. Her smile took away his burden from his shoulder and put him in a world with only the two of them.
