Emmett's point of view:
"We're having a baby!" Edward said, a huge smile covered his face as he entered the room, pulling Bella behind him by the hand.
"Congrats, man," I said, standing and giving him a hug.
"Thanks, Emmett," he replied as he slapped me on the back and pulled away.
"I'm happy for the both of you," Rosalie said as she hugged Edward.
"Thank you, Rosalie," Edward replied as he pulled away and looked between the two of us. "Now you two get to be an aunt and uncle."
"Sounds exciting," I said with a grin as I wrapped my arm around Rosalie's curvy waist as she leaned against me, careful to keep off of her ankle. "I won't be jealous of you when you're being woken up at two in the morning though."
"As long as we aren't having twins," Edward replied with a roll of his eyes. "We'll have to go to the doctors soon though, Bella. I want to make sure you and the baby are okay."
"Don't tell me he'll over protective of me now that I'm pregnant." Bella raised an eyebrow at me.
"He might be," I teased back. "But don't worry, Cullen babies are strong, so you won't have any issues."
Bella laughed and shook her head as she looked at my brother with a huge smile. "We'll get our little Cullen checked out soon though."
"We will." Edward beamed down at Bella as he wrapped his arm around her.
"Well, love birds, why don't Emmett and I clear the table for you and get the pie ready?" Rosalie asked.
"You rest, Rosalie," I said, "I'll clean up."
"I can lean against the counter and wash the dishes and put them in the dishwasher," Rosalie said with a pointed look.
"Fine, fine." I began to stack the dishes as Bella pulled Edward by his hand into the living room.
Rosalie started to move into the kitchen; she stopped at the sink and filled it with hot water and soap.
"I'll go get the rest of the plates," I said, kissing her cheek.
"Thanks, Emmett," she said, smiling up at me.
"You're welcome, babe," I told her, kissing her on the cheek again.
Grinning, I got the rest of the dishes in two more trips, putting the extra food into Tupperware dishes Rosalie got out.
"So how long have you known about Bella being pregnant?" I asked as Rosalie put the last plate into the dishwasher.
"I found out the day we got home from our trip," she admitted. "I am looking forward to being an aunt and uncle with you."
"Me too," I replied. "And seeing the kids have cousins."
"That would be nice." She smiled and turned toward me as I put my hands on her hips.
"So what's for dessert?" I asked.
"Chocolate pie," she said, running hands up my chest before her arms wound their way around my neck.
"Hmmmm." I leaned down and kissed Rosalie gently.
She kissed me back for a while before pulling away to look up at me with her violet eyes. "I love you," I told her, my lips moving against hers. I wondered briefly if I'd get tired of telling her that.
"I love you too," she whispered up at me.
I kissed her again, this time pulling her close to me and lifting her off of her feet, partly to take her weigh off of her ankle, but mostly so I could hold her against me, feeling every curve. I felt surprised as I felt her tongue against my lips, but I quickly opened my mouth to her, exploring her tongue in return.
"You can make a pregnant girl nauseous with all of that making out, you know?" We broke apart and turned to see Bella standing in the doorway with an amused, but irritated look on her face.
I put Rosalie down on her feet, but kept my arm wrapped around her. "You know, I thought I'd get a good make out with my girlfriend since the kids aren't here to interrupt us."
Bella snorted. "Not at my house, unless my baby will be getting another cousin soon. If that's the case, I'll leave you two alone."
"We won't be having any more kids until Rosalie makes an honest man out of me," I said, making Bella and Rosalie laugh.
"Very funny," Rosalie said, and I winked at her. "We'd better get that pie."
"I can get it," Bella and I said at the same time.
"I'll do it, Bella," I said. "I'd hate for my brother to kill me for not looking out for you."
Bella snorted. "I'm not sick and it's only pie."
"Still," I said. "You ladies go sit. I'll be right there."
"Thanks, honey," Rosalie, said kissing me on my cheek.
"You're welcome, babe." I smiled as I kissed her cheek in return.
I watched Rosalie use the crutches and swing out of the room, talking to Bella in whispers. Rosalie gave me a smile over her should before she was out of sight.
With a grin on my face, I got the pie ready as I cut the pie onto four plates, purposefully cutting a larger slice for myself. Putting a fork onto each plate, I carefully balanced the plates as I carried them into the living room. Rosalie sat on the love seat as Bella and Edward sat so close on the couch, you couldn't run a piece of paper between them.
"Here we are," I said, pacing a plate to Bella and Edward as the muttered their thanks. "My lady." I handed Rosalie one of the plates as I sat next to her.
"Thanks." She kissed my cheek before picking up her fork.
"Gosh, this looks great," Edward said as he stabbed a bite of pie with his fork.
"Thanks," Bella said. "Your mom gave me the recipe, so it should be great, but not sure anyone can bake as well as she can."
"This is really good though," Edward said after swallowing his bite. "I'd say better than Mom's since you made it."
A goofy smile covered Bella's face as she looked at my brother. "Thanks, Edward." He returned her gaze. Boy, they have it bad, I thought. I couldn't help but smile at their happiness.
"Oh, before I forget, I wanted to see when you and Rosalie of what a good day would be to set up the doctor's appointment," Bella said, looking between Edward and my girlfriend.
"Who's your doctor?" Edward asked before Rosalie could answer Bella's original question.
"Dr. Adler," Bella replied. "Why?" She narrowed her eyes at Edward.
Edward shrugged his shoulders. "I just wanted to know if it was a doctor I'd heard of before."
"Have you?" Bella raised her eyebrow at him.
"No, but I'll ask around."
Bella groaned as I said, "You know my brother is going to be supper over protective of you, right?"
"That's going to make me crazy," Bella said.
"Sorry," Edward said, not looking too sorry. "I'll overthink things, but I want the best for you and the baby."
"Man," Rosalie said out of the corner of her mouth to me. "I hope you aren't so protective of me when I'm pregnant." I thought of Emily and her passing; I could feel the blood drain away from my face as I thought of losing Rosalie after her giving birth. I swallowed hard as I frowned and looked away from Rosalie. "Oh, Emmett, I'm sorry."
"No, it's okay," I said to her gently, glad that Edward and Bella were teasing each other about his tendency to over think things. "I'll be worried to lose you to child birth too, but it'll be something we get through when we come to that, okay?"
She nodded and leaned up to kiss me gently. "I love you," she told me, and I could see it in her violet eyes.
"I love you too," I replied, cupping her cheek and giving her a kiss.
"So, Rosalie," Bella said, and we both looked at Bella. "Can you come with us this Tuesday or next Thursday afternoon to an appointment?"
"Sure," Rosalie leaned against me. "Just let me know which day."
"I'll call as soon as they open tomorrow," Bella said, giving me a smile.
"And we'll have to get Mom to watch the kids; I have surgery scheduled for those days, so I can't leave early," I said.
"Man, I can't wait to see what Mom and Dad think when they hear the news," Edward said to me with the grin. "They'll be so excited to know that they're going to be grandparents again."
"I'm sure," I replied. "Any idea of how you're going to tell them?"
"No," Edward said, looking at Bella. "Any ideas?"
"Not really." She shrugged her shoulders.
"How about we go after dessert?" Edward asked eagerly. "They're both at your house, right, Emmett?"
"They are, but Dad mentioned to me that he's going to work in a few hours, so you'd better go soon," I replied. "And Rosalie and I can have an hour or two to ourselves without the kids."
I grinned at her, and she returned her beautiful smile at me.
"Boy, we'd better enjoy a lot of time alone before we have kids," Edward said, smirking at us.
"You'd better enjoy it while you can," I said. "They take up a lot of time, but they're worth it."
"You know, I can only imagine how much stuff your parents will get us next year," Bella said thoughtfully.
Edward laughed. "You're right. Are you ready for me to take that plate so we can get going?"
"Sure." Bella smiled at my brother. "I'll get my shoes."
"Will you let Mom and Dad know I'll be home in an hour or two?" I asked, Edward as he took Rosalie and my plates.
"Sure," he replied, giving us a huge smile.
I hope Emmett is this over the moon when we get pregnant, I thought. My mind went to dreaming of giving him another little boy or girl.
"Night, you two," Edward said, breaking me out of my thoughts. He was pulling Bella by the hand, both of who were wearing goofy grins as Emmett and I echoed our good nights.
Sighing, Rosalie leaned against me as I wrapped my arms around her, cuddling her close as she rested her head against my chest.
"I missed you," I muttered.
"I did too," she replied. "It's been so weird not being around you and the kids."
"Mom is loving getting some extra time with them. I came home to the front of my fridge covered in finger paintings done by the kids," I said, making her laugh.
"Sounds like your mom," she replied.
"She said she'd be able to help out as long as you need her, and she'll definitely be at the house through the end of the week. She also told me to tell you that she wants to make us her spaghetti dinner tomorrow," I commented.
"That sounds wonderful." She sighed as she wrapped an arm around me tighter. "Since your mom is there, do you want me to go grocery shopping tomorrow? It'll make things so much easier without the twins."
"Sure, but do me a favorer and ride in a cart, okay?" I said.
"That's okay with me. I walked to the bathroom without the crutches earlier and it hurt like heck, so I'll use one, but I'll feel like an old lady in one," she said.
"You don't look like an old lady," I said in a low voice, making her giggle, before I turned serious. "We need more diapers, and probably in a bigger size for Jordan," I said.
"Already?" She looked up at me and frowned. "Gosh, that kid needs to slow down his growing."
"I know," I said, returning her frown. "Man, they'll be so big when Bella and Edward have their baby."
"They will," Rosalie said, nodding with agreement. "But we'll have to make more babies one day."
"I'm looking forward to it." I smiled at her. "How many kids are thinking of making with me" I said in a teasing tone.
She giggled. "Four or five more," she said, and I raised an eyebrow at her. "Too many?"
"No." I shook my head. "I wouldn't mind having six or seven more, but four or five wouldn't be bad."
Sighing, she rested her head on my shoulder as my arms wounded tighter around her.
"Are you looking forward to getting back to work tomorrow?" I asked her.
"Oh, gosh, yes," she replied. "It's been nice to have some time off, but I've been so bored. I've really missed you and the kids."
"We've missed you too," I said into her ear.
She looked up at me and kissed her deeply as she wound her arms around my neck.
