Chapter 4 «Third Day – What Am I Singing? »

A/N Sorry! Explainations are at the end of the chapter. Enjoy! I don't own Victorious. Love xxx

"WAKE UP!"

What a lovely way to start the day.

"I hate you"

"Shut the fucking up"

"Really?"

Jade fell back on her sleeping bag, a smirk teasing her lips and a mess of what she called hair not a while before. She woke up, bored as always, and decided a little scream would wake up her friends as easily as the song the last morning.

"Hey, didn't even need an alarm. That's service" the raven-haired beauty stated, hands under head, her azure orbs closed tightly under the morning sun.

"As if we needed one. You guys do a pretty good job. But I still hate you. I need my beauty sleep."

"Aw Robbie, don't be sad" mocked Jade, laughing as Beck smacked her thigh playfully.

"Say sorry to Robbie" he ordered. Even if he has slept and hasn't brushed his hair yet, they were still fluffy and perfect and placed at the right place. Incredible.

"I'm not saying sorry to Afro" teased Jade, even if a small smile pecked on her lips.

"Say you're sorry…"

"What if I don't?"

"Oh, you don't wanna know" Beck's last words were so low that only her girlfriend heard it. An excited chill snaked down her spine and raised goose bump at the same time.

"Well moving on!" coughed André, who sensed the conversation turned in a very awkward way. For them, at least.

"Oh yeah, good idea!" added Robbie, as awkward.

"Well I'm gonna go pee, anyone wants to go with me?" asked Cat, standing up. An orange tank top and navy blue leggings left not much to imagination as her red hair were tied up in a lazy bun.

A concert of "Me" and "I'm going" filled the tent as the five other teenagers got up and stumbled out of the tent, in the early sun.

One by one, they returned to the tent to change into their day's clothes, way less warm and cozy. Jeans shorts, tank tops, attached hair for everyone and walking shoes.

"Hey you guys, you should come with us on Hades again!" blurted Cat as she returned from the truck with a pack of sausages. "It's so pretty up there, and the view is perfect!"

"I have to agree" nodded Tori, crushing potatoes with a fork to make mashed potatoes (it's always time for mashed potatoes). "Blue sky, trees, and the site looks great"

"Why not? Sounds good" replied André, mashing the potatoes too. "Count me in"

"Me too. I need to burn some energy or I'll explode" Robbie was happily playing with the fire, making the flames burn again after a cold night.

"I wanna be there when you'll explode" snorted Jade, applying butter on the charcoal for the sausages. "Cat, go grab some bread. Robbie, toast 'em on the fire"

"Yes captain!" Cat made a salute before running back to the truck, laughing.

"Well I wanna come to the trail, maybe take some pictures" Beck was cutting garlic to add in the mashed potatoes. "Jade?"

"I don't wanna be left alone" she grumbled, putting the sausages on the sizzling butter. "Fine, I'll come"

"Great!" Cat was running back, bread in hands, grinning from ear to ear. "Hey, how about we make sandwiches and eat 'em up there? We could even go to Zeus, see what's on the other side, and come back after lunch!"

"I have to admit, that's a good idea, Little Red" approved André, rubbing his arms one by one, muscles tired from crushing potatoes. "Objections?"

"Nope. Sounds great" Tori took her own potatoes, starting to add powdered milk and water, salt and pepper, garlic and more salt to it.

"Perfect. Hey Robbie, need any help?" asked André.

"I wouldn't refuse that. Thanks!"

"Are we there yet?"

"Shut up André, we've been walking for ten minutes"

"Well that was rough, Princess Jadelyn"

"Fuck you"

"Ugh. You know where to stab a person"

"I told you to shut the fuck up!"

"Oh, I know. I'm just in the mood to piss you off"

Beck and Robbie exchanged an amused look. The idea of the trip was too good to be true.

"Well if you want that, you'll get it. Shut your fucking mouth!"

"Still rough. Magic word?"

"You're lucky there's four persons between us, because you wouldn't be standing right now"

"You actually want to throw me on the ground?"

"If you say another word, I'll get my revenge. Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but you'll get it. Promise."

"Word"

"That's it. Be prepared, Harris. The wicked witch of the west is coming to getcha"

Tori murmured in Robbie's ear "Well, for someone who hates that nickname, she's fast to use it"

"Well, that's Jade where talking about" replied Robbie on the same tone, extending his hand to help her get on a big rock blocking the trail. "If I could understand her, I could understand any girl. I mean any."

"True chizz."

They both exploded in silent laughter, trying not to slip on the trees' roots.

"What's so funny?" asked Beck, hair wet by sweat.

"You. Maybe you need to attach those hair, it looks silly" giggled Tori.

"I'll show you what's silly"

Beck shook his head like a wet dog. Screaming but laughing at the same time, Tori tried to hide herself with her arms, failing miserably.

"Okay, I get it!" she half shouted, smiling like an idiot. "Just attach those damn hair"

"Gotcha"

"Thanks, doggie Beck"

"Not funny"

"Well I thought it was"

"Oh please you too, don't start like 'em!"

Cat waited for Back to pass and slid between him and Tori.

"Now everybody stays calm"

"As you says, Caterina" joked Tori, winking at her friend.

"What? Why does everybody has to be mean right now?"

"Woa woa Little Red, she's just having fun" tried to calm André.

"You sure?"

"Of course!"

"Okay then!"

"You sure it's not Cat you should try to understand? I mean, she's way more complicated than Jade" murmured Tori again to Robbie, who snorted.

"Yeah, you're right. Cat's funnier, too"

"I'm always right"

"Sure you are"

"Got something to say?"

"Intimidating much"

They both laughed and continued slowly the path, snaking through the trees.

They arrived on top of Zeus about twenty minutes later. A huge rock, most probably moved during the Ice Age, blocked the trees by sitting on the top and because of that, the view was magnificent. On one side, the Heaven valley, the camp site, the river, the sky. On the other, lands of fields continuing on and on without a tree, horses, cows and sheep walking slowly between the wooden fences, and the beautiful horizon where blue sky meets blonde lands in harmony. In brief, it was the most beautiful thing they ever saw.

"I'm not really into art and all that, but shit I wanna paint that!" exclaimed André, looking everywhere in awe.

"I know!" said Beck, snapping pictures. "Hey girls, come here, I'll take a pic!"

Cat and Tori dragged Jade in front of the camera and both hugged tightly the raven-haired girl, laughing so much even Jade cracked a small smile. Fortunately, Beck caught it on his cam – a memory never to forget.

After multiple pictures, the gang settled down with peanut butter and jam sandwiches, taking the sun all in, hats on heads, laughs filling the air.

"We should get going" announced Tori, seeing the fire in the site making not a lot of light.

"Oh, phooey…" Cat packed her lunch in slow movements, obviously really sad to leave.

"Yeah, she's right" André gently tapped her shoulder. "It's two thirty, and when we'll return, it'll be about three. Jade needs time for those steaks, and if we want to eat marshmallows, we have to eat dinner early"

"Okay then, for the steaks" muttered Cat.

"Hey, where's that smile? Don't you want to be happy, see, the view is beautiful!"

A light lit up Cat's eyes, and she cracked a smile. "Thanks André!" She hugged him tightly. "You're the best!"

"I know, but thanks for sharing it with the rest of the world"

The redhead giggled and bounced off to Tori.

"Steak's ready! Come get 'em!" Jade shouted, making herself a plate of grilled-on-fire steaks, potato slides with spices and some carrots. "I'm not making your plates!"

From various places, the teenagers came running for food. When everyone had their plates, they sat by the fire, Tori and André on logs, Jade and Beck in the chairs they brought, Cat and Robbie on the grass mixed with sand, toes pointing the fire. Wind had started blowing when they were walking down Zeus and the temperature was heading down rapidly.

"Oh my chosh chade tich ich amaching" tried to say André, mouth full of potatoes.

"What'd he say?" asked Tori.

" 'Oh my gosh Jade this is amazing' " explained Robbie.

"Oh, okay"

When the dishes were done, they cozied themselves up with sweaters and long pants and sat around the fire again. The sun was going down and the orange glowing made them look like devils or angels, depending on the person.

"Oh! I have an idea!" chirped Cat. "How about we play What Am I Singing?!"

"Yeah, sure" approved André.

"Hum, yeah, one small question." said Tori. "Was is it?"

Jade groaned. "I can't believe you have been with us one year and still you have no ideas what game we are playing"

"Give her a rest" snapped André. "It's a game Cat and I invented. You pick a song, sing the part you want, and then the others have to guess what it is. It's really fun"

"Sounds cool. I'm in"

"Great. I start!" giggled Cat. "Okay… oh, I got it! Here it goes: I want your drama, the touch of your hand.I want your leather studded kiss in the sand."

"Easy Cat" laughed Jade. "Bad Romance, Lady Gaga. Try something hard. My turn." she paused. "Okay. In this farewell, there's no blood, there's no alibi. 'Cause I've drawn regret, from the truth of a thousand lies. Anybody?"

"I know, I know, I know!" Robbie was moving his head up and down. "I know, I know, I know!"

"What I've Done, Linkin Park" answered André.

"And I don't know"

"My turn." the dreadlocks guy continued. "Hum… I can see the pain behind your eyes, it's been there for quite a while. I just wanna be the one to remind you what it is to smile, I would like to show you what true love can really do."

There was only silence as André looked around. The others looked completely lost. "Girl let me love you, and I will love you. Until you learn to love yourself."

"Let Me Love You, Ne-Yo!" screamed Beck. "I got it!" he smiled. "This wind is blowin' my mind. I see the kids in the street, with not enough to eat. Who am I, to be blind? Pretending not to see their…"

"Man in the Mirror, Michael Jackson." said Tori, arms folded. "Sorry, you got hit by a Jackson fan. Now… You make me dance, bring me up, bring me down, plays it sweet. Make me move like a freak, Mr.…"

"Mr. Saxobeat, Alexandra Stan" screamed Robbie, triumphal. "Now I have it! Okay… Oh, yeah! I hit back when the pen hurts me. I'm still a choir boy in a Fenchurch tee, I'm still the same as a year ago. But more people hear me though according to the MySpace and YouTube videos. I'm always doing shows if I'm not I'm in the studio, truly broke, never growing up call me Ruffio. Melody music maker, reading all the papers. They say I'm up and coming like I'm fucking in an elevator."

"Wow, that was hard" sighed Jade. "You Need Me I don't Need You, Ed Sheeran. I've got an easy one. Uh I'm gonna kick my feet up and stare at the fan. Turn the TV on, throw my hand in my pants. Nobody's gon' tell me I can't, no."

"The Lazy Song, Bruno Mars" said Cat, before yawning loudly.

"Think we're gonna do a last one, m'okay?" asked André. "It's getting pretty late on everybody"

"Sure" shrugged Beck. "What time is it, exactly?"

"Around ten" Tori stretched.

"Good"

"Okay, last one you guys!" Cat smiled. "Oh, when I look back now, that summer seemed to last forever. And if I had the choice, yeah, I'd always wanna be there. Those were the best days of my life."

"This is kinda strange to hear you sing that, but you do have the vocals." remarked Beck. "Summer Of '69, Bryan Adams"

"Great!" André got up. "Not off to the bed we go!"

"Heigh-ho, heigh-ho" sang Tori and Cat at the same time, before exploding into laughter.

Oh my god! I'm so, so, so, so, so, so, so sorry for making you wait so long for this crappy chapter! I really hate it and it took me sooo long to finish it, it's crazy. I had this like huge writer's block and now it's done, but it's horrible. I'm so sorry!

So I am that kind of author, I take five months to write a thousand word when I don't have inspiration. Hopefully the next chapter will come faster, but I really can't promise you anything. Most of the delay is my fault, but it's also the fault of my school. I have a lot of homework, I don't always have time for writing. Oh and by the way, if you feel like whining about the wait, well go ahead, please yourself! I won't care. Seriously. I encourage bad criticism because it makes my work better – but whining is just lame.

I know this is just a fill-up. The next chapter will be a fill-up too, about half the length of this one, then the real fun starts.

If you want the Victorious gang to play some game, have a special discussion or some activity, I'm opened for suggestions! I'll try to include them in my work as much as possible. That goes for every chapter.

So, still sorry and anyway, have a good day!
