-Dive to the Heart-
Sora sat alone in a dark murky cell. His face was obscure by his hood and his head bowed. So still was his body, that one would truly wonder if he was still alive.
And honestly?
He wondered that himself.
"Ah~ There you are." A playful voice said as Sora weakly rose his head to find Tia Dalma smirking down at him, her ever-present amusement shining in her eyes. "The champion of both sky and sea. Where a boy once stood, now sits a man I see." Tia said before she cackled. "I kept eye on you when I left, or at the very least I tried." Tia said as she placed a finger beneath his chin and tilted his head up so that she could peer into his cold blue eyes.
She almost shivered at the lack of warmth she found.
"But then you died."
*Flash*
Sora gazed sadly into Kairi's eyes as tears slid down her cheeks. The smiles on their friend's faces began to wane as they all seemed to understood. He held on for as long as he could…
…but…
….it was time for him to go.
With one last smile, Sora vanished leaving nothing but a silent promise that he would return.
*Flash*
"But you were blessed, weren't you? Gifted a wild card." Tia continued as her grin seemed to grow. "And, like the great champion you were, you returned from Davy Jones' locker.
*Flash*
Sora's eyes snapped open as he found himself on his back in the middle of Shibuya.
*Flash*
"You returned, and with your gaze fixed on the sky, you sought to save it once more." Tia said as she moved her finger and stepped back as Sora's head fell. "Powerful allies, wouldn't even begin to describe the friends you made when you returned. On your own, you managed to make nine of the most powerful hearts follow you."
*Flash*
Once more, after a life changing adventure, Sora found himself standing before the gates of Kingdom Hearts. Behind him were nine shadows. Cautiously, Sora raised his hand and signaled for eight of them to stay behind him. Nodding to the ninth shadow, Sora opened the gate and beckoned them to follow him. Together, they walked in with Sora taking point. Once inside the inner chambers, Sora frowned as he found an empty throne.
Not once during his confusion, did he notice the dark grin splitting the ninth shadows face as a pair of golden eyes stared darkly at his back. Only at the last moment did Sora feel the killing intent but when he turned it was already too late.
*Flash*
"And then you died again." Tia chided patronizingly. "But ever favored by fate, you survived once more. Saved by love, but resurrected through rage."
*Flash*
Horrified, the other eight shadows watched in horror as Sora fell from Kingdom Hearts, his heart shattered into eight pieces. Reaching out weakly, desperately, Sora managed to grab one fragment before his body went limp. As his eyes closed, he saw the eight shadows leapt down after him. The first seven each managed to grab a piece of his heart while the eighth tried in vain to reach his body.
It would never reach him.
Sora watched as golden chains sealed the gate to Kingdom Hearts before they shot down and grabbed the eight shadow before it could reach him. The show was dragged back to Kingdom Hears and pinned against the gates ruthlessly. With one last act of desperation, the eighth shadow clawed into their own chest and ripped their heart free before sending it to Sora before he could fade into the darkness. Through a miracle, the heart slammed into his chest and began to beat.
The last thing Sora saw was the shadow's body going limp.
Seven screams of rage and sorrow filled the realm, shaking it, at the multiverse itself was broken beyond repair. To Sora, it felt as though lava had been poured in his chest as the rage of his seven remaining allies seemed to consume his new heart.

"A betrayal so tragic that it cracked existence itself." Tia mused, for once her smile was gone. "You feel it, eh Sora? The unbalance? The fissure? Our days are numbered and the ones that are going to bring everything to its end will be your friends. Blinded by their rage, their need for revenge, they will destroy us all."
A moment passed as neither said anything.
"Unless…" Tia continued, her smirk returning as Sora weakly raised his head. "…you stop them. They each have a piece of you, and you a piece of them. You no longer wield the key to save us, you are the key. Do you think you can do it? Pick up your blade once more and wage war against the sky itself? Against your former allies? To split the heavens with your screams of rage?" Tia questioned curiously as a new emotion seemed to fill Sora's eyes. "Can you make it? Make it back to Kingdom Hearts?"
*Flash*
Sora stood knee deep in the sea of the Realm of Darkness. A massive wave of the dark water rose of up and within it, Sora saw his reflection. Soon that reflection changed and its place was a pitch-black feminine figure. Their eyes, mouth, and a strange heart emblem on their chest were burning a bright red. However, it was what was in the strange woman's hand that made Sora's eyes widen.
The Kingdom Key.
"Two souls…" The woman began as she raised the keyblade to Sora, the weapon rising from the water as Sora grasped its blade gently.
"…one heart." Sora finished, a single tear sliding down his cheek as burning sensation filled the foreign heart in his chest. For a moment the woman's image flickered, replaced briefly by a familiar black-haired ninja who smiled at him before she was once more replaced by the raging entity. Sora's eyes shone red as the waters crashed down upon him.
Greed
Sora ran across the frozen battlefield, tearing down frozen soldier after frozen soldier as he raced toward the powerful Ice Queen. The Queen glared at him coldly before she waved her hand, causing a powerful slab of ice to slam into him. Thanks to his reaction speed, he managed to block it with his keyblade but was still knocked back and forced to recover in the air.
Envy
When Sora landed, he found himself in the middle of a destroyed city. Soon, he felt two hands on his shoulders and looked to both sides to find two costumed men flanking him. One was wearing red and blue and had a spider on his chest and the other was wearing red and black and had two katanas strapped to his back. Soon, they walked in front of Sora, prepared for battle as a blazing phoenix burned in the sky.
Shaking his head to clear it, Sora focused his attention on the red-haired woman inside of the burning bird and glared at her as she sent a blazing sphere of burning energy at them.
Sloth
Lost in a galaxy far, far, away, Sora found himself hopping from boulder to boulder as the planet itself was ripped up from beneath him by an invisible force. Gritting his teeth, Sora cut through a boulder and flew down at a cloak red-skinned female Togruta that stared up at him impassively with golden eyes. Raising her hand, a metal cylinder flew from her waist to her palm before two crimson beams of energy erupted from both ends of it.
Wrath
Sora tore through his metal opponent before he landed in the middle of a desert in between two white-haired individuals that were both wearing black blind-folds. Sora coughed and grimaced as he saw blood on his hand as strange black markings began to cover his body. Shaking his head, Sora waved his companion's concerns before they looked up at a woman with long white hair. The woman gazed down at them with blazing red eyes while an army of machines surrounded her.
Raising her long blade at them, the Machines attacked as Sora and his companions charged forward.
Lust
Collapsing to his knees, Sora found himself chained and brought before the King and Queen of Lucis. The older black-haired man looked down at Sora in confusion but Sora paid him no mind. No, his attention was stolen by the ebony haired woman that looked down at him with dark blue eyes that seemed to be filled with mischief. Sora lowered his eyes and noticed that her hand was resting on a sizable bulge on her abdomen. Sora wondered briefly if he should break free or play it safe.
Gluttony
A blonde woman tilted her head curiously before she began to back away from a large golden mirror as cracks appeared on its surface. Smirking, she watched as it shattered before Sora leapt out and landed on his feet. The woman rolled her shoulders, popping her joints as a dagger slid into her palm while Sora cracked his neck. Glancing around the room, Sora saw several young women chained to the walls.
Sora glared.
The woman smirked.
Spinning his weapon in his hand, Sora walked toward her as she approached him, flipping her dagger as she did so. When she passed the women, they seemed to wither away as their souls were consumed by her.
Pride
Panting tiredly, a battle-scarred Sora stood tiredly on a golden platform as a cloaked woman stood in front of the gates to Kingdom Hearts. The only thing that had stopped her from ripping the gates down without mercy was the young black-haired woman chained to the gates. With a flash, Sora summoned his weapon and aimed it at the cloaked woman who glanced back at him.
Soon her crimson lips curled up into a smile as six figures, three on both sides of her, appeared from their own corridor of darkness. Soon a pair of black, feather-covered wings appeared from beneath her cloak and with a single flap, Sora had to brace himself as she floated up into the air.
Sora's hands trembled a bit as he felt her power but he couldn't stop.
Not now.
Soon, six falling stars, covered in gold and black flames slammed into the ground behind him and Sora smirked when his back up arrived. The smile on the cloaked woman's face fell instantly before both sides glared at each other and charged. Sora brought his blade down mercilessly only for her to block it with her fore arm. The resulting shockwave scattered their allies across the multiverse as they glared heatedly into each other's eyes.
*Flash*
"So, I will ask again, do you think you can make it? Especially when you can't even remember who you are?" Tia questioned curiously.
"If you…have to ask…" Sora rasped out. "Then you haven't been paying as much attention as you think." Sora said as his eyes filled with determination. "My mind may have lost its memories, but my heart hasn't…and that's enough."
Tia Dalma laughed at his words.
"Perfect! Then please, take my assistance! If you wage war against the sky, what better ally to have than the sea!?" Tia questioned as water began to fill the cell, no, the entire realm. "The sea is but a reflection of the sky, but a fraction of unlimited power is still unlimited power. Show me, Sora, show me that I was not wrong about you!" Tia boomed as Sora felt himself drowning. "Captain of Captains, your odyssey will shake reality itself!"
-Realm of Darkness-
Sora sat up on the sandy beach with a gasp, his chest burning as the memories of the strange dream had already started to vanish. Taking a moment to collect himself, he stood up and grabbed a rusty keyblade so he could begin his training. As he began to walk away, he froze as he heard a gentle whisper.
"The sea calls, and the time to set sail draws near."

-Bonus: KH3 Review: Good, Bad, ugly
First off, I thoroughly enjoyed KH3 as a game. It was a good addition with great music, visuals, gameplay, etc. I can see it being one of the better games of 2019 easily. Unfortunately, it was brought down by just a few poor choices on the development side of things.
Story? I love the series but we all know it's a mess.
People: But rebuke if you just all the other games-
That's the problem, I did, and I have a general understanding of the plot but holy shit its complex. You can easily tell they made this up as they went. I don't care what game it is, a single plot line should not extend over that many titles. We're on like the sixth Yakuza and they have the decency to put Kiryu in a different plotline each time with small call backs to previous entries.
Story so wild I am not even going to take any points off because you went in knowing what to expect. Dialogue, goddamn that dialogue tho, no. Anyway, I knew what I was getting into but damn.
Disappointing showing of the heroes. Seriously you have seven lights. Sora, Riku, Kairi, Ven, Aqua, Axel, and Mickey. If you aren't Sora, Riku, or Mickey, you straight up didn't matter.
Kairi is relevant because she has become a plot device and not a character. She was vital for them but for all the wrong reasons and her training with Axel is pointless because they were both Gar-BAGE in combat.
I honestly almost want to take Mickey and Riku off the who matters list but they helped more than the others and were at least there during the fight against the Xehanorts.
Aqua tried. Playing as her was cool but outside of the Vanitas fight (Who got his ass owned by Scully #Givethatmonsterakeyblade) Unfortunately after her fan service gameplay that happened an astounding one time, she fell off.
Ven is the Yamcha of the group, enough said there.
Oddly enough the best came at the last few moments and the homie Roxas, Xion, and Terra held it down and had sick ass cutscenes. I legit sat in a corner and let Roxas solo the bosses just so someone besides Sora would actually do something.
Which is messed up because he is technically Sora too as is Xion so never mind.
And yes, I took pictures cause lol his damage was busted.
Enough about the characters though if you played the game you know exactly what I'm talking about. All these masters and Sora had to do everything again.
Gameplay? Solid af. I had a few nitpicks, attractions were OP, Proud mode was normal mode 2.0. RIP unique reaction commands for different enemies. I did prefer form change over the drive forms though, especially ultimate form. Mainly because Sora could do them on his own and not have to do the fusion dance with Donald or Goofy. (Just my opinion, drive forms are still cool af I just liked form change more.)
The bistro thing was cute, never used it, but it was cute and cool they added it.
Didn't mind Lucky emblems though Donald's voice haunts my dreams now after hearing him call them out so many times.
Sora is an Instagram model now which is funny.
Fuck the Gummi ship if you like it, you're Satan and part of the problem with this series. (Joking I love you guys, but seriously, I hate that shit with a passion.)
Minigames? Trash. Okay that's just the Olympus flan minigame salt speaking because that one is straight up broken but seriously they could have been tweaked.
The worlds? Vast but empty. Arendelle felt like a frozen wasteland. If that was the point cool, but in the series, you never felt like more of a bystander than you did in this game. At least Tia Dalma talked to you in Pirates. I don't know, it just felt hollow if you played the game you know what I mean. If anything, I rate them the same as KH2 worlds because they were just the opposite (one was vast in empty in the other they were small but filled with character.)
Where the actual fuck was the FF characters? I fought Sephiroth in KH2 Cloud's ass could have helped me when I got jumped by Xehanorts like I was in the wrong part of Chicago, what the fuck. (T_T). How does square justify milking Noctis dry in all these other games but not put him in KH3 at least as an NPC.
Lastly, that ending though wtf!? He didn't deserve that! Damn Thanos, how far did that snap go!? I know we will get answers in KH4 but you are bold as fuck if you think the next KH game is going to be KH4. We'll get our answers in 2054 though so I'll wait.
All in all, my final verdict? It's a 7/10.
Only game I've ever given a 10/10 to was Witcher 3 (If your DLC wins GOTY after the base game did, you did something right.)
I might be giving it to Red dead (Not sure if I should take off for the trash online) and Cyberpunk (If it lives up to the hype…but that gameplay demo got me hopeful)
For further comparison 7/10 is the same score I'd give FFXV and NieR: Automata got an 8.5/10
Persona 5 got a 9 from me.
A 7 is definitely not a bad score, for me six is above average, but for what it is as a whole product I can't compare it to the others I ranked above it. All in all, this is just one fan's opinion because people wanted to know my thoughts. Is it better than KH2? Yes and no for the reasons above but if you are a fan of the series it is a full-priced buy so you didn't waste any money or will waste money if you haven't bought it yet.
That said if you either never played the series before (Why the hell are you reading this story?) or are Xbox player (Who missed out on more than o two of the other KH games). Don't. PSA. Just don't.
Review End.
