AN: For the last part of the chapter, I suggest you have Here's to Us by Halestorm playing (you'll know where I'm talking about),

As everyone stood in the back room of the Tavern, Weiss felt beyond accomplished because of her achievements. Being the all state MVP, on the championship team, and a member of the all state team was quite an accomplishment, and she certainly felt proud of herself. Being here, with all her friends though, it just made everything that much better, because now she could share in her excitement and pride with those whom she became closest to in the past few months.

Looking around the room, she couldn't begin to imagine how life would be if she had never met any of her friends. There was Yang, currently playing a game of pool against Neptune, while Neo, Sage and Jaune watched. Sun, Scarlet and Nora were sitting around a table, smoking a cigar, as was Yang, Neo and Neptune over at the pool table. Ruby, Ren and Blake were chatting over at the dart board, while they played a round against each other.

Most importantly though, Pyrrha, the girl that Weiss felt proud to call her girlfriend, stood right next to her as they watched everyone having a fun time. Weiss turned her gaze towards the red haired woman, admiring the beauty that came from being such a marvelous specimen of perfection in Weiss' eyes.

When Pyrrha turned her attention to look at Weiss, noticing that the white haired girl was staring back at her, she smiled and wrapped her arm around Weiss. "It certainly has been a great time, hasn't it?"

"That's an understatement," Weiss chuckled. "This has probably been one of the best seasons I've ever had."

"I'm glad that you think that way," Pyrrha responded.

After giving it another thought, Weiss realized what it was that made this season as great as it was. It wasn't the fact that she had one of the single best performances of her life, or the fact that the team she competed on was the number one team in the state. No, she realized right then and there, that the reason that she was so fond of this season, was because of the friends that she made, and the relationships that she forged during her short time at Beacon.

"Hey, Pyrrha?"

"What's up, Weiss?"

"I, just wanted to say thanks."

Needless to say, Pyrrha was a little stunned by the sudden thanks from her girlfriend. "I appreciate the thanks, but what is it for exactly?"

"For all of this, for putting up with me during the summer before we became better friends, for helping me become the person that I am now," Weiss admitted. "Honestly, if you didn't try as hard as you did to get me to open up on that first day of practice during the summer, I don't know who I would be."

Pyrrha laughed a little when Weiss was finished. "You didn't need me to be that person, it was inside of you all along, just waiting to come out."

"I know, but if it wasn't for you, then I doubt that this part of me would have bloomed into the person you see before you," Weiss conceded. "That's why I'm thanking you. You, more than anyone else, helped shape me into the kind hearted and caring Weiss Schnee that is proud to be dating you."

Feeling heat rising in her cheeks, Pyrrha couldn't help but smile at Weiss' kind words. "You want to know something funny?" After looking to see that she had Weiss' full attention, Pyrrha continued. "The first time I saw you, I couldn't help but feel drawn in by your pure beauty, as cheesy as it sounds. I guess in a way for me, I fell for you at first sight."

"Heh, it certainly took me a while to feel the same way," Weiss responded. "But, in a way, I guess it was needed for our relationship to work the way it did."

Pulling Weiss into a hug, Pyrrha kissed her girlfriend's forehead. "And I wouldn't trade how things went for anything."

"Hey, lovebirds!"

The comforting, sweet moment between the two was interrupted by the blonde wonder, drawing laughter from all of their friends. "You two should join the fun."

Weiss and Pyrrha looked at each other real quick, before smiling and joining their friends in their fun.

"I want to tell her that I love her."

Just saying that itself, even though it was only to Ruby, was hard enough for Weiss to do. It wasn't that she was afraid to admit her feelings for Pyrrha, she just was afraid to actually say it, fearing that those feelings wouldn't be reciprocated.

Inside of Weiss' bedroom on that New Years Eve, Ruby could see the nervousness in Weiss' body, her anxiety and stress showing itself in her appearance. Ruby knew that Pyrrha would be arriving later that day, all of their friends would be at Weiss' house to bring in the new year. Right now though, Weiss needed to be calmed down and given a chance to relax.

"Weiss, that's great!" Ruby exclaimed.

"Ruby, please," Weiss pleaded. "I'm anxious enough as it is, can you please not make things harder for me?"

"What do you mean?" Ruby questioned. "This is a good thing, especially since you two have been together for a few months now."

"But what if she doesn't feel the same way?" Weiss asked. She sat down at the edge of her bed, knees pulled up into her chest, nervous about the whole ordeal that she was going through. Feeling a hand on her shoulder, Weiss took a deep breath and opened up a little.

"Weiss, you and I both know that she feels the same about you," Ruby said. "Honestly, I'm surprised she hasn't told you that she loves you yet. Maybe she knows that you wanted to wait for the right time, and that if she rushed you before you were ready, then she was worried that it would be a bad idea."

"Are you sure that she feels the same about me?"

"Positive."

Taking another deep breath, Weiss stood up and gave Ruby a hug. "Thank you, for listening, just like you always have with me."

Chuckling a little bit, Ruby rubbed the back of her head with her hand. "Ah, what can I say, it's what friends do for each other. What kind of a friend would I be if I wasn't there for you?"

"All of the one's that I've ever had before coming to Beacon."

Shaking her head, Ruby was glad that Weiss was around now. "And I'm glad that I was able to help change that."

Nodding, Weiss led Ruby out of her room. "More people should be arriving by now, so we should get back to the party."

As it had turned out, the woman that Ruby and Weiss were just talking about happened to show up moments before Weiss walked out with Ruby. Looking over to see Pyrrha talking with her father, Weiss had to hold herself back from running up and jumping into the girls arms. Once she was within arms reach though, she wrapped one arm around Pyrrha's waist and gave the taller girl a kiss on the cheek.

"Everything alright, Weiss?" Pyrrha asked. "I saw you walking out with Ruby, so I was just wondering if there was anything I should worry about."

Giving Pyrrha a hug, Weiss felt a warmth flutter inside of her chest. "Nothing to worry about hun, I just needed to talk with Ruby about something. I'll tell you about it later, right now we should join everyone and have a good time."

In doing so, they didn't have to wait long before everyone was at the party and enjoying themselves. Soon after everyone had arrived, Weiss popped in a movie for everyone to watch, going with Yang and Sun's suggestion of Guardians of the Galaxy. Weiss had to admit, their suggestion proved to be a great one, as everyone seemed to have a fun time with the movie. Soon afterwards, they all grabbed some dinner and had a fun conversation, before going back to the party, with a very large game of Cards Against Humanity being played between the 13 of them.

Once the game was over, they noticed that the new year was close to arriving. Everyone gathered around the TV and waited as the countdown to the new year started. As it got closer and closer, everyone was itching closer and closer to the TV in anticipation. Not long afterwards, their countdown began.

"Ten, nine, eight, seven, six, five, four, three, two, one, happy new year!" Everyone shouted as the ball dropped down, signaling the beginning of a new year. The four couples within the room, Blake and Sun, Yang and Neo, Ren and Nora, and Weiss and Pyrrha, each kissed each other to start the new year off right.

In that moment, one thought ran through Weiss mind. 'If I'm going to tell her that I love her, now would be the time to do so,' Once they parted lips, Weiss didn't even take a second to steel her resolve, just letting her heart take control for that one instant.

"I love you, Pyrrha."

Time right after she said that seemed to slow to a crawl, a thousand thoughts crashing into Weiss head, all different kinds of emotions coursing through her body. When she finally got a response, Weiss felt as if an eternity had gone by.

"I love you too Weiss."

In that instant, Weiss saw Pyrrha give the biggest smile that she had ever seen. A smile that signified just how much she meant what she had said. Instead of over reacting to the moment, Weiss was simply content to slip her head onto Pyrrha's shoulder and hold onto her girlfriend tightly as the world around them faded away.

Time passed, the seasons went by, and before anyone knew it, graduation had come to Weiss and her friends. They had finished high school, everyone graduating together not one day earlier. It had been a surreal moment for everyone, tears had been shed, laughs made together, and now, the summer began for each of them.

Weiss sat in a car with Pyrrha as the two of them drove over to Blake's house. Days before, Weiss came up with the idea to spend the entire day together right after they graduate, since they wouldn't be able to do that so much now that high school was over. They knew that Blake had a wonderful spot where they could all go swimming in a natural lake with a waterfall running water into the reservoir. Plus by the end of the day, they could all have a campfire in Blake's backyard and reminisce about all the fun times they had together as family.

"I can't believe it's already the summer," Weiss said to Pyrrha as they drove down the roads.

"It certainly hasn't sunk in yet that high school is over for us," Pyrrha admitted. "I figured it would always be more noticeable. I guess it just hasn't fully settled into my head yet."

"Well, let's not think about it right now," Weiss suggested. "Today is all about having a great time as a family, with all of those that we care about with us."

Nodding, Pyrrha silently agreed with what Weiss was saying to her. Not even a minute later, they had arrived at Blake's house. They weren't the first ones there, but they were far from the last. Pulling into the driveway, they noticed that Blake had left the door open for them to just walk in when people had arrived for the party.

"Hello~" Pyrrha sang out as she opened the screen door to Blake's house.

"Hey, glad you guys could make it," Blake called out as she walked over towards the front door. "Everyone's waiting in the back right now. We're all gonna walk over to the lake together once the rest of us get here."

"Will do," Weiss responded as she walked with Pyrrha back to where the rest of the gang was that had already arrived.

Upon making it into the back, Weiss and Pyrrha took a count of who was there, Ruby, Yang, Neo, Sun, and Jaune gathered around on the porch. "Yo, whatup princess!" Yang called out when she saw Weiss.

"How are you doing Brute?" Weiss jabbed back at Yang. Over time the two had grown to joke quite a bit with each other as their relationship grew. -And how are you doing Neo?- Weiss signed out to Neo.

-I'm doing wonderful right now, though Yang here never make's it easy,- Neo replied.

-Well, she is a brute after all,- Weiss joked. -No appreciation for the finer works in life, though we still love her anyway.-

-True enough,- Neo conceded.

"Uh, you two do know that I can understand you, right?" Yang cut into their conversation. -Your hidden messages won't work on me anymore,- Yang signed out to emphasize her point.

"Wow, Yang, when did you learn how to sign?" Weiss asked.

"I've been learning for a while now, though your mom did actually help teach me pretty much everything that I know right now," Yang admitted. "I do appreciate her doing that though, it certainly has been worth it after all."

"I'm surprised to hear about this," Weiss said. "This is new to me."

"Well, I didn't want anyone to know, and I wanted to surprise Neo with this before we graduated, so there has been a lot of time spent working on that."

Not a moment later, the rest of the gang showed up, signalling the beginning of their trek towards the lake.

Once they had arrived, they spent most of their time swimming around, jumping off of the top of the waterfall into the lake below, sitting on the lakefront while everyone chatted amongst each other. Taking time to make sure that they all ate, they went back to the house at points in time to have fun in Blake's back yard when they weren't swimming. Pyrrha brought a soccer ball with her and everyone started to pass it around between each other, eventually trading the ball for a frisbee that Sun happened to bring with him.

Eventually it started to get late, and everyone sat around the fire pit in Blake's backyard. With a roaring fire in the center, everyone went off reminiscing some of their favorite moments that they've had with each other.

"I still gotta say, one of the single funniest moments was the day that you came to practice with barely anything on Pyrrha," Yang said as she recalled one of her favorite memories from their years in high school. "God, I don't think coach could have questioned why you were dressed the way you were any faster than she did."

"Yeah, that was an interesting day, I'll tell you that," Pyrrha said. "Though, I have to admit, that was a fun time if you ask me."

"We've all got some great memories together, don't we?" Jaune cut in.

"We certainly do," Blake responded.

"Now we've all graduated, and we're going our separate ways," Ruby said, though she sounded upset as she spoke. "We won't be making as many memories with each other."

Thinking back on it, Weiss was the most experienced with this kind of situation before. Having an idea pop into her head, she stood up. "You know, just because we're all going to be away from each other, doesn't mean that we won't be able to make memories together."

"If you think about it, we're pretty much a family, so no matter how far away we are, as long as we hold onto the memories we did make, then we'll never forget each other," Weiss continued.

"Even then, there will be times where we'll be all around and able to spend time together, even if it isn't all of us," She went on. "So, I propose an idea, the first chance that we all can take after each semester, we get together and spend the entire day doing things much like this, where we just have fun as a family."

"That, sounds, perfect!" Nora shouted.

"I'm in!" Ruby jumped in as well.

"Aw yeah, this is going to be so awesome!" Yang exclaimed.

"Well then," Weiss began, raising her cup. "Here's to us!"

With everyone toasting to their kinship, Ruby suddenly had an idea. Since she was part of a band with Scarlet, she was finally able to show off her singing talents to everyone. So, going off of that, she pulled her phone out and popped a song onto the speakers. Once everyone heard the intro to the song, they knew what it was that was playing, and they all joined in and sang together.

(Ruby) We could just go home right now
Or maybe we could stick around
For just one more drink, oh yeah

(Scarlet) Get another bottle out
Lets shoot the shit
Sit back down
For just one more drink, oh yeah

(Pyrrha) Here's to us
Here's to love

(Neptune/Sun/Jaune) All the times
That we fucked up

(Sage) Here's to you
Fill the glass

(Yang) Cause the last few days
Have kicked my ass

(Weiss) So lets give em hell

(Blake) Wish everybody well

(Ruby/Weiss/Yang) Here's to us
Here's to us

(Pyrrha) Stuck it out this far together

(Ren) Put our dreams through the shredder

(Nora/Sun/Jaune) Let's toast cause things got better

(Scarlet) and everything could change like that

(Neptune) And all these years go by so fast, But

(Weiss) nothing lasts forever

(Ruby) Here's to us
Here's to love

(Jaune) All the times
That we messed up

(Sun) Here's to you

(Scarlet) Tell em to go fuck themselves

(Ruby) Here's to us
Here's to us

(Ruby/Scarlet) Here's to all that we kissed
And to all that we missed

(Blake/Sun) To the biggest mistakes
That we just wouldn't trade

(Ruby/Yang) To us breaking up
Without us breaking down

(Sage/Neptune/Nora/Ren/Jaune) To whatever's come our way

(All) Here's to us
Here's to love

(Ruby/Yang) All the times
That we fucked up

(Sun/Neptune) Here's to you

(Scarlet) Cause the last few days
Have kicked my ass

(Ren/Jaune) Wish everybody well

(All) Here's to us
Here's to love
All the times
That we messed up
Here's to you
Fill the glass
Cause the last few nights
Have kicked my ass
If they give you hell

(Weiss) Tell em to go fuck themselves

(Pyrrha) (Go fuck themselves)
