Disclaimer- I don't own Harry Potter or twilight, no money is made off this story.
Authors note- Didyme, was not killed by Aro, she was never Marcus's mate. But as it stands this is a Harry/Aro/Caius/Marcus, don't like? Then don't read! Also i am not going to say sorry about the lack of updates, also to the people who keep saying it sucks how the hell can I improve it if you don't tell where the fuck i am going wrong? It's fine for you lot to say it sucks but when I don't know where the fuck i keep going wrong it makes me frustrated. You want to be childish? Then fine, go right ahead. To everyone else, sorry for the ranting. However as you all may know the little trolls are running around on the site again, not that they went away to begin with. Which leaves a very difficult decision to be made, about whether or not to leave the site. But either way it has been a pleasure to write for you all.
Chapter 11
The night of the Hunters moon was already upon them and none of them liked it, the pained whimpers and pained screams that came from Harry was heart breaking, they had no idea just how painful it was for them. Hadrian was no batter, he had bitten his bottom lip that hard that blood freely flowed down his chin and dripped onto the cold stone floor. They had been inside the ritual circle for a full 48 hours and they couldn't leave for another 24, just in-case the hunters moon had any lasting effects that they had not noticed right away and it was possible to miss things, it wouldn't be overly large things but rather small things like mood swings and shortness of temper. But that was half of the battle, the screaming that had been coming from Harry had stopped for a few minutes and the vampires were grateful, they didn't enjoy seeing him in pain and most of them wished that they could prevent him from experiencing it but they knew that they couldn't not this time.
Violet eyes swirled, orange, amber and gold as the power from the hunters moon filled him, he could feel his core refilling and purging any impurities out of his core, healing any and all splits or cracks that had appeared in their magical cores. It was part of the reason why it was so painful, the purging took up most of the time, and while they couldn't control their magic they still had to go through the purge that happened every so often it wasn't often enough that they could tell when a purge was coming which would have been a wonderful thing as it would have gave them time to prepare for a purge, but it was still painful each time they went through a purge and the only time the purge didn't happen was on a harvest moon. Another ear shattering scream left Harry as he withered on the cold floor, Caius turned furious red eyes to Hadrian who was panting on the floor.
"What is happening to him?"
Hadrian gasped before he clutched his chest, he panted for several minutes before he rasped out.
"It's the purge, normally they happen every ten years or so, and sometimes, just sometimes they happen every 15 because they like to fuck with us. They are painful as you can no doubt see, the purge cleans and heals the magical core if it has taken any damage during the ten or so years."
Many of the guards winced at the crude wording, it was one thing to think it in the safety of your mind but it was another thing altogether to use it in front of the leaders, most people that did didn't live to see the next day. But that was normal circumstances, and these weren't normal no they were far from normal so it was no shock that they were letting it slide this once. Harry screamed once again and began thrashing, Hadrian crawled over to Harry and wrapped his shaking arms around him in an attempt to offer him some comfort. The vampires that stood watching over the two of them were uncomfortable, after the ritual circle had been done they had been informed of the hunters moon, but not what it would entail, they had been prepared for almost anything except this. Aro, Caius and Marcus were struggling to contain themselves the urge to break down the ritual circle was strong and gather their mate in their arms but they knew that the circle was keeping him live, thus they fought the urge. Violet eyes were now fully gold as the hunters moon reached it's peak, Hadrian looked at the three of them before he spoke.
"The bond, use the bond to ease his pain. It won't take it all away but it will help ease the pain for some time."
The three of them looked like statues as they thought over what had been said and wondered why they hadn't thought of it before, they had a mating bond with Harry which was one of the strongest bonds there was. While they had not fully completed the bond it was strong enough that they would be able to help him, slowly they began opening the bond, small wisps of love and happiness flowed through them, then they all gasped and clutched their chests as pain began to flow down the bond, pain that made them feel as if they were dying as if they could feel each part being broken off and set alight, it was not a pleasant feeling. But it looked like it was working, slowly but surely Harry stopped screaming and thrashing and began whimpering, a strained smile was sent over to them.
"Thank you, it looks like it has worked."
The three of them nodded before they left the room, they couldn't be in there. Not with their urges telling them to destroy the circle, to take their mate and stop the pain, they knew that if they did destroy the ritual circle then the two of them could end up dying something that they didn't want to happen no matter how much they annoyed each other, but it still brought up the painful memory of how they ended up in the ritual circle before they were supposed to be in it.
~~~~~~Flashback ~~~~~~
It was for once a cloudy day in Volterra, many of them had thought that it would rain judging by how dark the clouds were and the bitterness of the wind, many of the vampires were looking forwards to the rain as it meant they could go out. While they could leave the castle it was very rare that they left for pleasure reasons, most of the time they left when they had to do a mission, so it would be nice to go into the city and relax for once. Aro, Caius and Marcus had agreed that they would spend the day with Harry in the town while the four of them had spent time together it was normally in the castle, and everyone knew that Harry was sl0lwy going stir crazy and the last thing that they wanted was for him to try and visit the town by himself. The incident with Chelsea was still fresh in their minds.
So they had made plans to take Harry out into the town for the day then bring him back to the castle on the night to get changed before they went to a performance that would be playing in the opera house that night, or that had been the plan until night had came and Harry had started to thrash around and whimpering. Shortly after that Felix and Demetri had came in and told them that Hadrian was in a similar situation as Harry was, the only difference was the older man was still awake. So they had went to him, Harry safely tucked into Aro's arms as they ran through the halls, Hadrian took one look at Harry before he gasped out.
"The purge."
With that the older man crumpled to the ground and Harry began screaming and thrashing more violently, they had used their vampiric speed to get them to the ritual circle.
~~~~~End Flashback ~~~~~
That had been a good two days before the hunter moon had been due, they had agreed that they would stay with Harry while he was in the ritual circle but it had proved to be too much, the pain that he was in was causing them to battle with their base urges and the last thing they wanted to do was to hurt him. So they had moved away from the circle and were now sat in Caius's study hoping that it would pass soon, none of them were moving as they felt power wash through them at first they didn't think anything of it until many of the guard came rushing into the room, the door swinging off it's hinges.
"The ritual circle has been broken."
One minute they were in the study and the next they were in the throne room where the ritual circle had once been, both Hadrian and Harry were laid in the middle of the floor barely breathing, they had to strain to hear their heartbeats. Without thinking the three of them grabbed hold of them and ran to their rooms, while they knew that Hadrian was mated they weren't about to leave him on the floor. Soon they were on Marcus's room and they were laying the two of them on the king sized bed, they looked so small, so fragile on the bed. There was only one good thing about this night and that was the fact that the hunters moon had passed and they wouldn't have to go through this for a good decade or maybe longer. The three of them wished that it would be the latter rather than the former, they didn't want to see Harry in that state again. The three of them stayed in the room and kept watch over their precious cargo, not noticing the shadowy figure that was stood next to the bed shaking his head as black eyes stared at the pair of them.
Morning couldn't come soon enough for them, during the night neither of them had moved at all, the only sounds that had been in the room was the sound of shallow breathing and weak heartbeats, they had known that with their kind of power there had to be a drawback of some sort and now they were looking at it. Unlike the change that only took three days they had to go through throughout their whole lives, it was not a pleasant thought for them.
"Where?"
Green eyes were looking around the room a amber haze was over his eyes as he tried to sit up, Caius pushed him back down, Caius didn't like the amber tinge that was on his mates eyes the colour reminded him of Werewolves and he would much rather forget about the moon children.
"Easy little one, you're still recovering."
Harry blinked several times and slowly, far too slowly in their tastes the amber haze left his eyes. A tired smile was his answer as Harry slowly sat up wincing as his body protested the movement, his arms shook as they tried to keep his body upright. A squeak left his lips as he found himself in the cold lap of Aro, Aro had a small smirk playing on his lips as he looked at Harry who was blushing. Caius leaned over and lightly punched Aro on the arm, however the sound of his skin breaking filled the room and it reminded them that even their lightest hit could still break Harry. It also led them down a path that they didn't want to think about, with Harry not being able to accept vampire venom would they be able to change him? Would they have to watch as he aged and died? They were the questions that they had tried not to think about, they were the questions that they kept shoving out of their minds, they didn't want to think about them yet it looked like they would have to.
Harry yawned as he leaned against Aro the feel of the cold marble underneath him told him that he was safe, that he was protected and while he may not be able to fully trust them he knew that they would keep him safe, it wasn't that he didn't want to trust them. He did but the amount of times he had been stabbed in the back made it hard for him to trust anyone really, even his own family. But it was still nice, but that didn't change the pain he was feeling, the pain that kept coming from his heart. He wasn't sure if he should say anything or not so for now he would just keep quiet, Harry hoped that the pain would go away he really did. The last thing he felt was his eyes slip close and heard the sound of panicked voices.
