Hi everyone! Sorry I haven't updated in a while. Please forgive me! Anyways, here's the new chapter.

*The next day*

"Mmmmmm..." Lucy groaned as she heard birds chirping and the sun shine brightly. She looked at the time near Kyubey's bed stand. She knew it was getting late and decided to get ready for the day. She found her clothes in Kyubey's bathroom with a note.

"Sorry. I had to leave you. I had a student council meeting to get to. Our classes won't be in session today so you can work at the cafe. Look for a girl named Hitomi Shizuki. She will train you. See you after school. -Kyubey"

Lucy yawned and took a shower and got ready. She walked to the kitchen and saw a plate of breakfast on the table with her name written on a sticky note. She settled down to eat breakfast, as she took a seat to enjoy the light meal. She blushed at how good Kyubey's cooking was and finished it in a heartbeat. She cleaned up her mess and hurried off to the School's cafe.

*Cafe*

"Welcome...Lucy Kimiko? I'm Hitomi. I'm here to train you!" A green haired girl smiled as she was dressed in what seemed to resemble a princess with armlets and leg armor. It did however,look strikingly real. "Let's start off with greetings and your outfits!"

Lucy looked at her with a weird expression on her face as she looked at her outfit. She then got down to business and followed along with her instructor. She choose her outfits and greeted customers with friendly expressions. Suddenly Homura Akemi showed up and walked straight to Hitmoni.

"Shizuki-san. May I please speak to our rookie here?" She said as calm as can be. Hitomi glared at her. She walked away, without a response. Homura shrugged it off as the two sat down at a nearby table.

"Kimiko-san. Don't form a contract."

Lucy looked at her with a straight face. "Why Homura? Why are you so concern about me and making a contract with Kyubey? What excatly are you hiding and who is Madoka?" She looked at Homura with eyes of a detective, who wanted, no yearned for answers.

"1: None of your concern. 2: Nothing at all. 3: You will never say that name casually again or else." She glared as the was a moment of silence until Homura finally spoke.

"Kyubey is a monster known to destroy magical girls just for energy for his home planet. He is neither a creature, nor a alien. He is but a mirror image of evil. He was sent here to form contracts with girls to make energy. Madoka was my best friend. She sacrificed everything just to protect this world. To protect me." Homura eyes were filled with tears now. Lucy just looked past it not knowing what the issue was, but knew it had to do with Madoka.

"What did she wish for Homura?" Lucy asked, now interested.

Homura then looked at her after she cleared her eyes of wet hot tears. "She wished to eliminate witches. To change the cycle of the universe. To become a Goddess."

*?*

"Alright! Is everyone ready to go? Mami? Sayaka? Kyouko? Homura?"

"Yeah! After words, let's celebrate with cake at your house Mami!"

"Kyouko! Don't be rude. You have to ask!"

"I don't mind Sayaka. I'll make some yummy tea while I'm at it. Sounds good right Homura and Madoka?"

"Y-y-yes ma'am!"

"We can enjoy everyone's company! Right everyone!"

We were fools back then. We thought if we worked together as a team, we could make the world a better place and help everyone in Mitakihara city. At least...that's what Kyubey told us. We all loved our wishes as if they were blessings for a better life. We each have our own stories. We have our reasons to make that awful mistake.

*Back to the Cafe*

"I understand you're concern, but I'm gonna have to ask you to stop worrying over me. It's my choice to whether to make a wish or not."

Homura regained her composure and sighed. "Very well, but please don't say I didn't warn you..." She walked away from the table.

Lucy looked down thinking about her decision. What if Homura was right? What if she did regret her choice.

*Route to Home*

"What should I do? Homura told me about her past. Madoka huh..." The name sounded familiar.

"Hey babe! Where you headed to?" Smirked a guy who was 2 years older with a friend who looked 1 year younger than Lucy.

"None of your business. I'm not interested. Goodbye." She walked past them and felt a strong grip on her arm.

"Bitch. I said where you off to! You must be knew here!" He grinned looking over to his buddy as the other friend grabbed a switch blade from his back pocket and held it to her neck.

"Listen hun. How 'bout you listen to me and my friend here and you can leave peacefully."

Lucy giggled and looked up at them. "Yes sir~" She cooed as the one who had a gripped on her kissed her neck smirking.

Lucy suddenly kicked the younger partner between his legs causing him to fall as she turned and kicked her attacker right in the jaw. He fell as blood spewed from his mouth. Lucy grabbed a handkerchief from her pocket and wiped her neck.

"Disgusting. You guys think just because you're strong and tough doesn't give you the right to think of girls as toys."

"You guys!" Lucy turned to see a boy run toward the thugs. "Stop causing trouble! Sorry miss! These are my cousin."

"Kyousuke! Save us!" They shout in unison. Kyousuke chuckled and rubbed his head.

He explained things to Lucy as Kyousuke's cousins ran off scared. "I'm really sorry! Can I walk you home as an apology."

Lucy walked ahead on him not saying a word as she was a couple of steps away and stopped not looking back. "Well...are you coming or not?" Kyousuke rushed over to Lucy's side as they talked and walked.

*?*

"Well, well...to think we were almost friends. I really do hate that I have to do that, but oh well."

*Back to Kyousuke and Lucy*

"So you're name is Lucy Kimiko. Hmmm...you're actually really pretty." He smiled as Lucy thanked him.

"So you date Hitomi...that's good. I'm actually jealous of her. My mom wants me to get a boyfriend." Kyousuke and Lucy laughed together as they talked more on school and family.

"I can't believe you play violin! I'm glad I found someone to enjoy classical music with!"

"Same here." She looked and saw her home a few miles away. "It's getting late! Later! I'll see you tomorrow Kamijou-san!"

Kyousuke waved and walked home blushing at the girl's beauty, and her interest.

*Shortcut*

"I hope this is a shortcut." Lucy said as she walked further into a back alley. She saw the way out of the alley blocked by some strange object. Lucy looked around her area and witnessed green roses. "Huh? Green roses?" Lucy picked one up to observed it. She was suddenly cutoff from her observation when she heard a whipping sound.

"Lucy watch out!" She heard Kyubey's voice as she looked up. A figure from the sky fell with a huge weapon. She stood there shocked and suddenly Lucy was pushed to the side. Kyubey took the blow but got back up with ease.

"Stay out of this Kyubey! I have some business to take care of."

Lucy's eyes widen as she mumbled a name. "H-H-H-Hitomi...?" She saw the bright green haired girl stood in her 'cosplay' with a huge sword.
