The Dowager Countess of Grantham was in her drawing room reading from a book, stern and straight and stiffly starched, when a flash of light burst across the room, revealing two strangely attired young men standing before her. They glanced about the room, clearly confused but not as out of sorts as one might expect in such a circumstance.

"Well, this is highly irregular," The Countess said. "You two seem to be rather lost."

They turned to her, still confused but not unnerved. "Where are we?" One of them asked. The other one, the taller one shook his head. "Where's Crowley?"

"I'm sorry – there's been a dreadful mistake. You shouldn't be here."

"Yeah, tell me about it," the first man said. "Where are we?"

The other man looked about her drawing room again. "England, I'd say early nineteen twenties. How'd we get here?"

"More importantly, how do we get back?"

"I beg your pardon," the Countess interrupted. "Am I alone in believing that I am also in the room?"

"No, I'm sorry, I'm Sam Winchester. This is my brother Dean. We're from – somewhere else.

"Clearly."

"We're looking for a – a man named Crowley."

"Crowley? Yes, there was a drummer here by that name. Smarmy little pest isn't he? He hasn't been here in years, though. Perhaps we should see about returning you where you belong."

'Dean' shrugged broadly. "If you have any suggestions, I'd love to hear them."

She arched an eyebrow. "I suggest you stand right there while I consult my footnotes."

"But wait –" Sam remonstrated as she uttered the words, pointing to the book in her hands. "Are you a –"

But the Winchesters were gone again before he could finish his question.

"A hunter?" She finished the question for him and smiled into the empty room.

A/N: I saw on Twitter today that Gil McKinney said he'd like to see a Supernatural/Downtown Abbey crossover show. That gave me an idea and this is the (very hastily written) result. (I can totally see Violet as a hunter.)
