P.S. I know that is has been a while, but I've been having a lot of issues with family, University, my anxiety, etc. It's kind of knocked me off of my writing. Trust me when I say I'm trying to write for my fics as fast as I can.

"Oh God, really?" I groaned. "Can't I ever be kidnapped by, I don't know, a normal human? Why does it always have to be a Hunter or a Werewolf?"

"Oh, that's so –" the guy began, tone sarcastic.

"And why haven't you assholes learnt by now that kidnapping someone in Beacon Hills, especially someone that's part of a Werewolf Pack, will be beaten. Badly. By the Alpha. Seriously, are you all that stupid? Have you all forgotten how Packs and Alphas work? Like, seriously, du–"

Next thing I knew, claws slashed across the left side of my face, the right, hitting into the metal column Emily and I were attached to. My ears rang as I felt my skull crack under the force, feeling blood slowly rolling down next to my eye. Where I should have felt my fire beginning to bubble up, I felt nothing. Nothing in me was reacting, as it should have been. A chill began in the depth of my stomach, a feeling reminiscent of when you drink icy water after eating a breath mint. I could feel it churning inside of me, flip-flopping around as it started to build, gradually.

Well, that's not good….

"You need to learn to shut up." he giggled again, his eyes wild and slightly psychotic. "Or you'll end up dead before they can come to watch."

"Why? What's your goal?" Emily pried, growling under her breath.

"Oh, wouldn't you like to know, Foxy!"

The guy dissolved into a fit of giggles, spinning in a slow circle before hiking himself up onto the edge of a small cabinet. He grinned with a mouth full of fangs, his eyes a constant glowing blue in the dark. He drummed his claws on the side of the cabinet, one by one, over and over again. A constant noise that beat itself into my ears, barrelling around in my head. He swayed slightly as he watched us, humming softly to himself a nonsense tune.

"Foxy's gonna fry. Fire's gonna die," he sang. "Hunter's gonna cry. Cry, cry, cry."

Over and over again, that was all he sang. He didn't even answer any of Emily's questions, even when she began yelling at him, insulting him, testing him. He just got louder, laughing manically as he banged on the sides of the cabinet, hitting his heels against the metal.

"What the fuck do you want with us?!" she roared.

"Foxy's gonna fry. Fire's gonna die. Hunter's gonna cry. Cry, cry, cry."

Throughout the day, Derek slowly deteriorated. No one else seemed to notice, but they didn't know what they were looking for. Irritability, sudden waves of scorching heat, losing control of the wolf and fatigue, just to name a few. It had all happened with Talia when I was a boy. I remembered everything she went through as if I was watching her go through it all over again. I was unsure how to help Derek. For the majority of the time, I had been kept away from Talia. Even then, she wasn't exactly forthcoming with me about what she was going through. I was in deep water and I couldn't break the surface.

After getting Derek to rest for a few more moments, I had walked out onto the front porch, sitting down on the steps. Running my hands over my face, I wondered just how long Derek would be able to hold out. Talia had barely survived the week. Others, I had heard of, hadn't lasted past five days. The longest someone had survived, that I knew of, was eight days….

"What am I supposed to do, Lia?" I whispered into the air. "This wasn't supposed to happen to him."

Rubbing the back of my neck, I leaned forward until my elbows rested on top of my knees. Talia always seemed to know what to do in situations such as this. She always knew of something that could help, always found something everyone else had missed.

"I wish you were still here, Lia. I wish Derek had you here." I breathed. "He needs you so much, right now."

Closing my eyes, I let my head drop. If I could have swapped places with my sister, even if it was only until we found Stiles and Emily, I would have. Derek would have had his mother; he would have had someone who knew what to do. He would have been able to ask her all the questions he needed answers to.

It wasn't even five minutes later that Jackson's car pulled up into the driveway, screeching to a halt.

"We caught a scent at their places!" Scott revealed the moment he, Jackson and Boyd left the car. "It's a wolf, but that's all we can tell. Whoever it is, we don't recognise their scent."

"At least it's a start," Boyd added on. "If we smell it again, we'll know."

"It's just a matter of finding them," Jackson grumbled.

Boyd was right, it was a start. But it was an incredibly small start, not much to go on in the grand scheme of things. There was a slim chance we would catch the scent, let alone that it would lead us to find Emily and Stiles. I doubted we would find them quickly unless we somehow managed to stumble upon them.

"How's Derek?" Scott asked, quietly, shifting from foot to foot.

All I could do was shake my head.

There was no point in lying.

It was an hour before the guy left, according to Emily. He sang the entire time, the same thing over and over again. My head was pounding, the cold feeling slowly overtaking my entire body. I could myself go ridged, my legs already completely numb and unable to move them. I could feel the tips of my fingers stiffening as if I was turning to stone after staring at Medusa.

"How long do you think I can go without my fire?" I sighed, forcing my teeth not to begin chattering. "I guess not very long."

"Probably a couple of days. Maybe?" Emily admitted. "I'm not entirely sure. You're the first one I met like you…. As far as I know, the more control you have over it, the longer you can manage with it gone. You're still learning."

"Shit…."

Looking around, I tried to see if there was anything around us that could identify where we were. There had to be something with a name on or even something that could give us a little bit of a hint! But there was nothing. Absolutely nothing! All I could think was that it was an abandoned building of some kind, but that didn't seem to make any kind of sense. Why would someone in nurses' scrubs be in an abandoned building?

"Look, we'll be fine, alright? He's just trying to get in our heads." Emily told me. "It's not like he's the sharpest tool in the shed, anyway."

"All-Star reference?" I asked.

"Obviously."

"Cool."

I wasn't exactly sure when we would be found, but at least I wasn't in the situation alone.
