Chapter 25:
Rin awoke the next morning to the sound of whimpers and the feeling of warm tongues.
She opened her eyes to her pups gathering around her, not seeming to have noticed they awoke her yet.
When they did, their tails wagged and Rin was buried with even more licks.
Rin could just bask in her pups' love, but she soon found herself sitting up.
Her pups were telling her they were hungry, she had to take care of that.
An arm wrapped around her waist, making her jump before a familiar voice sounded, "Good evening, Rin."
"Evening!" Rin squeaked, attempting to burst free, but the grip only tightened.
"Calm down. It's ok. We arrived home early this morning, remember?" Sesshomaru whispered against her.
Rin took in a deep breath before glancing down at her pups who sat watching innocently. "But still. I have neglected my pups for a whole day."
"They were just fine. They were satisfied sleeping next to you." Sesshomaru said.
"They..." Rin stopped, looking at her pups again.
They began to prove their point when they joined the embrace, licking Rin happily and excitedly.
"How would you like to go on your very first perimeter check?" Sesshomaru whispered in her ear.
Rin's unknown being from within perked up, immediately agreeing with securing the lands for her pups.
"Yes." Rin said, giving into it.
She would ask Sesshomaru about this unknown being later.
Sesshomaru led her to the main room, their pups following behind.
It felt strange to not seeing Kagome and InuYasha there to welcome her.
She quickly shook out that thought, she had to take care of her pups.
"Have the pups been eating human food?" Rin asked.
"Yes. Do you wish them not to?" Sesshomaru paused their walk.
Rin looked down, "Well. They're full demons. I'm full demon, I suppose now would be a good time to learn to eat other prey."
Sesshomaru laid a hand on her shoulder, "Rin. Just because you have made the change, doesn't mean you have to act like one. Not I, nor anyone else will force you to do things you don't want to."
"Could I... Try it? After we take the perimeter check?" Rin asked.
"If that's what you want. Remember, no one's forcing you to do this." Sesshomaru said.
"I know. I just... I just have the feeling I need to learn these things." Rin said.
"I will get food for the pups then find Toshiro, he seems to take good control of this place when I am away." Sesshomaru said.
"I'll fix dinner. You find Toshiro." Rin said.
Sesshomaru nodded before turning to leave.
Rin broke from her stare when her pups began whining again.
She went to the food room, searching for something good that her pups would like.
"You're not going to find any Dog Food in there." That silky smooth voice sounded, making Rin's hairs stand on end.
"I'm not looking for dog food. My pup are hungry so I'm trying to find them a snack." Rin said, but hated how it didn't sound so tense or true.
"Some pets you've made of these little ones." Naomi sad, making Rin spin to face her.
Layla was cowered to the ground as Naomi stared down at her.
"You're scaring her!" Rin growled, eyes phasing red.
"I'm not going to hurt them, Drama Queen." Naomi said before leaving the pup alone.
"What do you want Naomi? Did you not get the message back at the cave?" Rin asked.
Naomi just glanced at her before leaving.
Rin didn't relax until she felt Layla padding against her.
She bent down to her pup, nuzzling her and telling her that it was ok.
"I'll fix you some sandwhiches ok?" Rin said.
When Sesshomaru returned, their pups were almost done eating their sandwhiches and were showing signs of drowsiness.
"Hey. Maybe they'll go to sleep tonight." Toshiro sad behind Sesshomaru.
Toshiro approached the pups.
Raiden and Rylee rand to greet him.
"What about you Layla?" Toshiro asked.
Layla's tail lowered as she looked up at Rin.
"Someone's scared her." Toshiro observed.
Rin nodded before bending to soothe her pup, "Naomi."
"What?" Sesshomaru and Toshiro said together.
"What did she do?" Sesshomaru asked, approaching his pup.
"Nothing really. Just going on ranting about how me being human and my pups didn't go together." Rin sighed.
"Next time she does this, she won't be so fortunate." Sesshomaru said before picking up Layla, feeling her still shaken body.
It was quiet for a long time, until Layla's fears wore off into sleep.
"I will take things from here. Go take the perimeter check, and this time come back before dawn." Toshiro said.
After Sesshomaru and Rin left Layla to rest in Toshiro's arms, they headed outdoors.
It was dark, crickets were chirping, the full moon shown from above.
Rin gulped, this was to be her second transformation. Her first, she had no memory of.
Sesshomaru's hand found hers, squeezing it tightly to put her out of her thoughts and back to him.
"You can do this, Rin." Sesshomaru said.
"I hope so." Rin sighed.
Sesshomaru leaned down and kissed her, "You will. Remember what I told you."
Rin looked down in thought again.
'You have to summon it. You need to be... Have adrenaline, the need to defend yourself, the need to attack, the need to protect someone.'
Rin opened her eyes again, finding that being within spark with life.
Her eyes phased red.
She felt herself become surrounded by a red whirlwind.
Relax.
She had remembered.
Rin tried to relax when she felt her form shifting.
With a long stretch, the whirl wind, and she stood on all fours.
Rin opened her eyes, blinking a couple times, seeing more of the land than she could have when she was human.
Rin's tail wagged and she looked herself over, she had... Made the transformation... Again.
She looked down at Sesshomaru who hadn't yet phased.
Then, in a bright flash, when Rin could see again, Sesshomaru's muzzle was right before hers.
Rin nuzzled his neck, taking in his new stronger scent that made her purr.
She pulled away when she noticed other dog demons surrounding them.
This was it.
"You take the lead, my mate." Sesshomaru said, nuzzling her neck in return.
Rin looked at the other 10 dog demons who stared at her for orders.
She turned, looking to the skies. Was she good enough in experience to lead those dog demons? What if she...
"Nothing will happen, my mate. They just wait for orders to take to the skies and then it's up to them to pick out intruders." Sesshomaru said.
Rin took a deep breath. She could do this.
She took a leap to the sky, and she was... Flying.
Rin noticed the familiar scenes, the fields, the forest, the mountains.
Dog demons flew left and right of her, intently staring to the ground for intruders.
"Another wolf demon." One of the dog demons growled before diving to the forestry.
Rin was looking as well as she could, and she began to wonder if her eyesight might have been different.
Then, she heard something, followed by a loud yelp.
A piercing feeling in Rin's chest was made by the yelp of one of the dog demons.
Rin stopped in place, looking back where the dog demon had gone for a demon.
She couldn't see him well, but she could smell blood.
"Come on! We have to help him!" Rin barked out before diving down, the dog demons and mate on her tail.
She found the wounded dog demon.
"Hey. Are you ok?" Rin asked.
"Yes. My queen. You should go." It was Asuka.
An earth-shattering stomp sounded, and trees broke, revealing a giant demon.
Rin looked up and up, the demon larger than her.
"Protect the queen!" One of the dog demons sounded, and white dog forms were attached to the demon, barely large enough to do damage.
"Rin. You go back." Sesshomaru stood before her.
"No." Rin said, claws digging into the earth.
The ten dog demons were being picked off like fleas.
The giant demon now looked down at her and Sesshomaru.
It lifted it's massive paw and sent it down at them.
Sesshomaru leapt at his mate, pushing her out of the way, leaving Sesshomaru vulnerable to the demon.
"Sesshomaru!" Rin shouted, lunging at the demon but he tossed her away by a wave of his hand, leaving her to go crashing into a tree.
Rin struggled to get up.
The demon had released Sesshomaru from it's grasp, and growled at him and RIn trying to decide who it was going to go for.
The dog demons had recovered, and were attacking the demon again, making it become enraged.
The dog demons leapt off, slowly but surely leading the giant demon away.
The dog demons ran when they were sure the demon would follow.
Soon, growls and howls echoed in the distance.
Rin looked at Sesshomaru, who was shakily keeping himself up.
"S-sesshomaru." Rin gasped, trying to stand, but fell back down, a pain rushing through her body.
Sesshomaru heard and immediately went to her. "Rin."
They returned to their human forms before Sesshomaru knelt towards her, "Rin?"
"I'm... Good." Rin gasped, but the pain in her voice was not very persuading.
This cannot happen again! Sesshomaru's beast barked.
He just sat there, waiting, listening.
He swore he would never take his mate outside again if she lived for him just one more time.
Rin's eyes opened, seeming not to remember going to sleep, "Sesshomaru"
"Rin?" Sesshomaru gasped.
Rin tried to sit up, but Sesshomaru held her down, "Don't move!" He growled.
Rin stared at him confused, why? She felt just fine.
She could smell the salt water in his eyes.
"What is wrong Sesshomaru?" Rin asked, pushing heself up quickly, worried for her mate.
Sesshomaru was about to pin her back down and scold her again, but, he noticed she was showing no signs of pain.
Was it...
Her demon had healed her! The main reason why he had marked her.
"Wait. Where's the demon?" Rin gasped, trying to stand up.
Sesshomaru held her down, "Sitting up is good enough."
"That demon! Where did he go?" Rin asked.
"The other dog demons chased him off." Sesshomaru said.
"What was it?" Rin asked.
"An ogre." Sesshomaru said.
"Why are..."
"Hush Rin." Sesshomaru said before kissing her deeply.
Rin was running all types of emotions through her body, she felt as if she were to explode.
When Sesshomaru kissed her, it all dissolved.
She kissed him back with need, loving the feeling of being so close.
I need you. A voice sounded within Rin's body that sounded a lot like her, and she gasped, pulling away.
Sesshomaru was confused at first, but noticed a tinge of fear in his mate.
"What's wrong Rin?"
"Um. I have... You're going to think I'm crazy." Rin blushed.
Two clawed fingers tilted her chin up to him, "No I won't."
Rin saw it was clear in his eyes that he was serious, but she still felt weird, "I... I'm hearing a voice."
Sesshomaru tilted his head.
I think she doesn't know what an inner demon is yet. Sesshomaru's beast pointed out.
"It is most likely your inner demon, Rin." Sesshomaru said.
"What? What's that? I thought you only transformed and you were a demon." Rin said confused.
"Whethere you are in your human form or demon form, your inner demon is like a second guide. It senses things faster than we can sometimes." Sesshomaru said.
"Oh." Rin nodded, thinking over the information, "So, that's why I transformed the first time without knowing."
"Yes." Sesshomaru said.
It was like watching her open her eyes through another world. It never ceased to amaze him.
"Sesshomaru." Rin said.
"Hmm?" He asked, looking her in the eyes.
"M-my demon said that... It wanted you." Rin said, blushing lightly.
Sesshomaru felt his beast shiver, this, was a mating call.
His arms snaked around her waist, pulling her tightly against him.
He missed this.
Their lips met, Rin slowly feeling a sense of relief that her mate had not rejected her of this need.
Another one of Sesshomaru's hands slid into her kimono, his cold hands brushing against her back.
Rin gasped into the impact, tossing her head back to the sky, shivering lightly.
Sesshomaru attacked her neck that she had so willingly revealed to him.
"My lord and queen." A voice sounded a little ways away.
Rin wanted to scream in surprise, but Sesshomaru tucked her securely against his chest, focusing on the dog demon.
"The threat is gone. We have chased him well out of our borders." The dog demon said.
Sesshomaru nodded, "Thank you."
The dog demons looked at him for a few more seconds before returning to the castle.
Sesshomaru returned his sights on his mate, "You still wish to continue?"
Rin wrapped an arm around his neck, kissing him deeply.
Their tongues battled for dominance, neiter seeming to win.
Rin finally gave in, letting him own her mouth, body, and soul.
His hands were pressed against her waist, lifting her until they could find the perfect friction.
Rin once again revealed her neck in submission, letting Sesshomaru continue his markings he had started.
Rin's kimono was suddenly missing, which left every part of her vulnerable to Sesshomaru's senses.
Rin's moans arose as he was making opened mouthed kisses against her cheek, neck, and chest.
She had almost forgotten how good this felt.
When she could free her arms, she found the opening to Sesshomaru's kimono, freeing him of them, and pushed him down and claiming his lips again.
He was taken aback for a seconds, but immediately accepted it.
She had done this to him before, she had marked him.
HIs hands caressed her waist, pinning her to him.
Rin was feeling this desire filling really quickly, her demon giving her a feeling that this would be better than any other she had had with him. Her mate.
"Our mate listens to her demon too easily. Why can't you? Sesshomaru's beast was basking in Rin's demon's strong desire.
It was when Rin opened her eyes, glowing in a blue sapphire color, that time stopped for Sesshomaru.
At this moment, both demons were forgotten.
Sesshomaru was falling for Rin all over again.
He caressed her cheek, their faces merely inches apart, "You. Are beautiful."
Of course, Sesshomaru was the only one who could see her like this, he kissed her gently, despite their growing desires.
This moment, was all he wanted, his mate glew with beauty every time he looked her.
Then, the momet ended, beginning another as their desires came to their peaks.
With Rin's release, sent her crying into the night.
Their demons intertwined at this moment, promising one another eternal hapiness.
Sesshomaru was left gasping as Rin laid on top of him, her head at his chest, just below his chin,
Rin's eyes dimmed and returned to their golden color.
This had left her completely exhausted and somewhat sore.
She lay there, wondering if Sesshomaru was asleep after a long time of recovering.
Her answer came when his arm wrapped around her, his grip tight, despite their tiredness.
"I love you, Rin." Sesshomaru said.
"I love you too." Rin said, feeling as though she could fall asleep in seconds.
This had not been a part of their agenda.
When she awoke, she found herself back in their bed.
She was dressed into her night gown, and a strong arm was wrapped securely around her waist.
Her pups lay on their beds curled against once another.
All was right, all was peaceful.
Rin took a deep breath, she had come a long way since she had fallen in love with Sesshomaru. She was a full dog demoness, a queen of the western lands, a mother of three pups... A leader.
Usually, Rn had been worried over all of this.
But as long as Sesshomaru was with her, she could do it.
As she went back to sleep, she felt Sesshomaru pulled her closer.
It was as if whether she was thinking or speaking, Sesshomaru knew her more than anyone in the entire world.
A/N: So... The End I guess. But, I have come up with another Sesshomaru and RIn fic.
I just can't stop writing about them.
My next story will be a little more intense and difficult, so I hope you guys keep a look out for that one! Especially all my "Guest" readers.
