Ana POV
I can hear Christian talking to me. He sounds so depressed. I try not to focus on that and focus on the words coming from his mouth.
"Baby, please don't leave me. I couldn't handle it baby. You've become my whole world, well you and Marie. She's missing you something fierce right now. She asks for her mother everyday. It's been three weeks since I've been able to speak to you. Our secret is out. Everyone knows about us. My family, yours, the media, your friends, the whole world." Oh no, my poor Christian has had to deal with all those people without me, we were supposed to face their anger together.
"There are some positives though. We've made progress on the investigation and you'll never believe it but they found Steven's body. They found his body bruised, bloodied, but not breathing." Oh no, this is not going to be good. Knowing Christian he's the one who did it. Orange is not the best color on my Fifty, walking sex God or not. "I know what you're thinking, I'm not even the one who did it. I don't know who did it but if ever find out I'll, well, I don't know what I'll do but it'll be something. Taking care of that threat, and that nightmare for you is priceless to me." For someone who can usually put a price on anything that is saying something. Almost as if he can read my mind about how Elena is still a threat he continues, " I promise to find out how Elena plays into all of this. I will NEVER let anything like this happen to you again. Marie is safe too. I'll protect you both. My whole family is here too by the way. They've been hanging around the hospital almost as much as I have been. Mia came back from Paris for this too. We're all just waiting for you to open your beautiful eyes. There's something else huge that I need to tell you too, but I don't feel right doing it while you're out. Well, I love you baby.
Next I hear Amelia and she doesn't sound much better than Christian. I'm not rally surprised though. If I've really been out for three weeks this is the longest we've gone without talking.
"Ana you've got to wake up. Christian's whole family is here and you've got to meet them. They're great. By the way the brother, Elliot, HOT. The things I would do to him. Mmm, mmm, mmm. Don't tell him though. I'm playing hard to get. It's working for me. Anyway, this family, you should see how they are with Marie. You'd be so happy, it's exactly what you've always wanted for her. They love and treat her like she's their blood and like they've known her her whole life. Anyway, you need to wake up so you can meet them, they're going to love you."
With that conversation I fall asleep. I'm glad Amelia is at least acting somewhat normal, that'll be good for Marie to see. I can't believe I've left my girl behind for three weeks. What kind of mother she must think I am. I can't imagine what this must be like for Marie and Christian. I've got to wake up for them if nothing else. I do want to see Marie with her new family. I'm so happy that they treat her like one of them, I'm not surprised though, Marie could melt even the coldest of hearts.
What must be hours later but feels like only minutes I feel strong enough to open my eyes. I slowly crack them open and all I see is fuzziness. It takes a few blinks to be able to see straight. When I finally can I almost wish I had kept my eyes closed. Sitting in the chair my room looking my straight in the eyes is Elena Lincoln.
"Hello Anastasia."
I think my best bet here is to play dumb, because she was in that truck I know she wants me dead.
"Who are you?"
"Does the name Christian Grey mean anything to you?"
"No?"
And with that she gives off the most sinister laugh I've ever heard and starts to walk towards me.
Sorry for the short update and the long break. I was in the hospital and going through a lot of intensive therapy. There will be more updates more frequently coming your way soon I promise, but for now enjoy this little snippit.
