Hello everyone! Here's the last chapter. Enjoy!

Chapter 18

Rachel sighed as she stood backstage. She usually didn't get nervous when it came to competitions but now she couldn't stop pacing back and forth.

When he noticed his sister in distress, Blaine went over to her. "Hey are you okay? This is the second competition that you're nervous about and that's not like you."

"I just really want us to win and given how everyone has been in rehearsals has me a little worried."

"Hey you know we always get it together before competition. You sure you're not nervous for a different, Mohawk-wearing reason?" he smirked, raising an eyebrow.

Rachel rolled her eyes before looking out at the audience and seeing her dads, Sam, Quinn, Puck and Sara waiting for them to perform. She turned back to Blaine. "Maybe I am a little nervous about performing in front of Noah. I mean this is the first competition he's come to, what if we lose? That'll be so embarrassing."

"Rach the guy's crazy about you. I doubt that he'll even care if we lose. If he's a good guy then he'll probably say it was our faults and that you were perfect."

She laughed. "That sounds like something he would say."

"So relax, you're going to be fine. Now let's get this trophy so we can get to Nationals."

She nodded as they got into formation while they were introduced. When the curtains opened, Kurt, Tina, and Mercedes started it off with Born This Way then Blaine led them in a rendition of Raise Your Glass that had everyone on their feet. When it was time for their final song, Rachel took center stage for her solo.

We could just go home right now
Or maybe we could stick around
For just one more drink, oh yeah
Get another bottle out
Lets shoot the breeze
Sit back down
For just one more drink, oh yeah

Here's to us
Here's to love
All the times
That we messed up
Here's to you
Fill the glass
Cause the last few days
Have gone too fast
So let's give em hell
Wish everybody well
Here's to us
Here's to us

Puck smiled as he watched Rachel on stage. Her voice was perfect and she seemed really happy when she performed.

Stuck it out this far together
Put our dreams through the shredder
Let's toast cause things got better
And everything could change like that
And all these years go by so fast
But nothing lasts forever

Here's to us
Here's to love
All the times
That we messed up
Here's to you
Fill the glass
Cause the last few nights
Have gone to fast
If they give you hell
Tell em to forget themselves
Here's to us
Here's to us

As she sang, Rachel thought about everything she and Puck had been through the past few months. Situations that were supposed to tear them apart actually made them stronger in the end and she wanted to celebrate the fact that they made it through everything.

Here's to all that we kissed
And to all that we missed
To the biggest mistakes
That we just wouldn't trade
To us breaking up
Without us breaking down
To whatever's come our way

Here's to us
Here's to us!

The audience stood up and applauded as she hit the note perfectly. Puck couldn't take his eyes off Rachel. Her voice captured him and made him never want to look away from the girl who stole his heart.

Everyone roared in cheers and applause as the group took their final bows. When it was time for the awards, Rachel was shaking. She wanted to win so badly and winning in front of Puck would mean everything to her. Soon it came down to them and another group.

The announcer pulled the card out of the envelope. "And the winner is…the New Directions, you're going to Nationals!"

Everyone jumped up and cheered in celebration as Mr. Schue accepted the first place trophy. Rachel looked out in the audience and smiled when she saw Puck cheering loudly with Sam. When everything was over, Blaine and Rachel ran to their family and received hugs from them.

"You guys were amazing," Hiram smiled. "I say a celebratory dinner is in order, what do you think?"

"Of course," they nodded.

"Can Kurt come too?" Blaine asked.

"Sure, the more the merrier," Leroy smiled before looking at Rachel who seemed more preoccupied with Puck. "Why don't we wait for you guys outside while you get your stuff and go grab Kurt?"

Blaine nodded and walked away as Quinn took Sara's hand and walked in the opposite direction with everyone else, leaving Puck and Rachel alone.

"So what'd you think?" she asked. "And be honest. A good performer could always use critiques."

"I thought you were incredible," he smiled. "You definitely kicked those other show choirs' asses."

"Thank you. Even though the song was picked before all that stuff with your gang happened it kind of tells our story doesn't it?"

He nodded. "You're right. Now that it's all over I can devote all my attention you."

She smiled before kissing him. When they pulled away, she looked at him. "Stay with me tonight. After you take Sara home and everyone goes to bed I want you to stay the night."

Puck pretended to think. "I could always tell my mom I'm staying at Aaron's place. You got it babe."

He kissed her again before they left to join everyone else. The journey to get to where they were now was a struggle but in the end everything was worth it. They managed to get pass the gang and everything that should've broke them apart made them closer and stronger than ever. In the end they got what they needed most: each other.

That's the end of it. I hope you enjoyed reading and be on the lookout for my new stories. Bye for now :)
