Chapter eleven
Stiles pulled the jeep into the hospital's underground parking garage, coming to a stop before climbing out, Lina right behind him. Both turned to Peter, who strolled over to a sedan that was parked a few spots away.
"Isn't that Jenny's car?" Stiles asked, arching an eyebrow.
"Yes, it is." Peter said calmly, pulling out a set of car keys and unlocking the boot of the car.
The twins stared at the rotting corpse in the trunck for a moment.
"Well, I never did like her." Lina murmured.
Stiles snorted. "Of course you didn't."
She elbowed him playfully, grinning.
"Focus, you two." Peter chided them, though they could see the amusement in his eyes. The werewolf reached into the trunk to pull out a grey laptop bag and handed it to Stiles, as well as a black rectangle device.
"Oh, MiFi." Stiles muttered, flipping the connector over to look at the serial number before turning the laptop on and connecting onto the internet. He quickly typed in Scott's user name.
"His user name is Allison?" Peter deadpanned.
Stiles typed in Scott's password.
The werewolf stared at him with disbelief. "His password is also Allison?"
"You still want him in your Pack?" Stiles asked him sassily, a cheeky grin on his face.
Peter rolled his eyes. "He's yours, which makes him mine, too. Even if he isn't the sharpest tool in the shed."
The three of them waited as the GPS tracking device loaded and when it did, they leaned in closer to get a better look.
"That's where they're keeping him?" Stiles asked with anger. "His own house?"
"Not at it. Under it. I know exactly where that is." Peter told them, walking over to the side of the car. "Oh, before I leave," Peter said after he took the laptop from Lina.
He suddenly grabbed Stiles, cupping the back of his neck and drawing him into a heated kiss, moving so their bodies were flush together. Lina's eyes widened is surprise, yet a wide grin quickly spread across her face as she mentally cheered for her brother. Peter released Stiles when oxygen was needed and smirked at him.
"We can continue that later."
Stiles could only nod, his face flushed a bright red and his eyes glazed over.
Lina nudged her brother once Peter was gone. "So? How was it?"
"Li," Stiles whispered, turning to her.
"Yeah?"
"I think I'm in love."
Lina snorted.

The twins rushed into the hospital, silently riding the elevator up to the floor that Lydia was before running out of the lift in a panic, Lina's gaze went right to Jackson, who was standing by a glass window that she knew Lydia was on the other side of. The twins started to move in that direction, but their dad stepped in their way with an angry expression.
"You know what? It's good that we're in a hospital, because I'm gonna kill you two!" he seethed, pulling them to the side.
"Is she gonna be okay?" Lina asked meekly, staring at the window.
John sighed, softening a bit. "They don't know, partially because they don't know what happened. She lost a lot of blood, but there's something else going on with her." he informed them. "She's not Turning." he whispered to them.
Stiles frowned. "What do you mean?"
"The doctors say it's like she's having an allergic reaction. Her body keeps going into shock. She's not Turning, but she's not dying either." John explained to them.
"But that doesn't make any sense!"
"Is Scott here?" Lina asked their dad, frowning when he shook his head.
"I've been calling him on his cell phone, but I've gotten no response."
"That's because he doesn't have it, Derek does." Lina sighed. "And he's been captured by Kate."
"What?!"
"Don't worry, dad, Peter went to go rescue him." Stiles reassured the Sheriff, who's eyes widened as he gaped.
"Peter? Alright, what the hell is going on?" John demanded, eyes narrowed.
The twins glanced at each other. "Um, turns out Peter's awake and the alpha and has been killing everyone involved with the fire."
The Sheriff rubbed his temples, letting out a sigh. "And you two are going to help get rid of Kate, aren't you?"
Stiles sneered. "That bitch is dead, dad." he said vehemenously. "And not just because of the fire."
Lina's eyes widened and she shot a panicked look at her brother, but he just ignored her.
John frowned, catching the exchange. "What do you mean? What did she do?"
"She's after Lina."
John tensed, eyes flashing. "Define after." he gritted out.
"Most likely? In the sexual sense."
John whirled on his daughter, who shrunk back. "Why the fuck didn't you tell me, Marcelina Stilinski?" he hissed furiously. "That's something I need to know. You can't keep shit like that from me!"
"I can take care of myself and she hasn't done anything yet." Lina weakly defended herself.
"Yet being the key word." John turned to Stiles. "She dies. Tonight." he stated, voice sharp and steely. No way in hell was that bitch touching his daughter.
"Undertood." Stiles said, grabbing his sister's hand and dragging her past Jackson. They needed to find Scott.
"Hey, where are you going?" Jackson called out to them, quickly following them.
"To find Scott." Stiles answered him without stopping.
"I'll drive."
"My jeep works fine, thank you."
"My Porsche is faster. Come on-" Jackson tried to grab Stiles's shuolder, but the fire mage quickly jerked out of reach, turning to face him as he stopped in an empty hallway.
"Look, just because you feel guilty all of a sudden doesn't make it okay, alright? Half of this is still your fault."
Lina snatched the keys to the Porsche from Jackson and tossed them to Stiles. "Just let Jackson come, Sti. You'll drive."
Stiles brightened a bit as he caught the keys and the three of them went to exit from the front doors, only to freeze when they saw the door was blocked by a group of men in dark clothing.
"Lina. Boys. I was wondering if you can tell me where Scott McCall is." Chris said, taking a step closer.
"Scott McCall? Um, haven't seen him since the dance. Jackson, you?" Stiles asked without taking his eyes away from the hunters in front of him.
"I- uh," he stuttered unsurely, staring at the hunters wwith wide eyes.
"Oh, for the love of god," Stiles muttered under his breath.
"Lets try this again. Where is Scott McCall?" Chris asked them sternly.
When none of them answered, he sighed to himself before motioning to the other hunters. The men stepped forward quickly at his instruction and grabbed the three teens, dragging them into an empty hospital storage closet. Jackson and Lina got thrown rough into an old fashioned hospital bed, the latter landing on the former, as Chris held Stiles against the wall by the collor of his shirt. Lina quickly wracked her brain for a spell that would help them get out of this.
"Let me ask you a question, Stiles. Have you ever seen a rabid dog?" Chris asked the fire mage.
"No. I could put it on my to-do-list, if you let me go." Stiles replied sassily, glowering at the older male.
"Well, I have. And the only thing I've ever been able to compare it to is seeing a friend of mine turn on a full moon. Do you want to know what happened?" Chris asked in a snarl, still holding him roughly against the wall.
"Not really. No offense to your storytelling skills."
"He tried to kill me, and I was forced to put a bullet in his head. The whole while that he lay there dying, he was still trying to claw his way toward me, still trying to kill me, like it was the most important thing he could do with his last breath. Can you imagine that?"
"No. And it sounds like you need to be a little bit more select-"
"Did Scott try to kill you and Lina on the full moon? Did you have to lock him up?"
"Yeah, I did. I had to handcuff him to a radiator. Why? Would you prefer I locked him up in the basement and burned the whole house down around him?" Stiles asked Chris pointedly, making Lina tense. Jackson wrapped an arm around her protectively, in silent comfort.
"I hate to dispel a popular rumor, Stiles, but we never did that."
"Oh, right. You guys have a code. I guess no one ever breaks it."
"Never."
"What if someone does?" Lina spoke up.
Chris turned to her, releasing Stiles. "Someone like who?" he asked her softly, looking at the ground as if he already knew, and Lina's heart went out to him.
"Your sister." she said gently.
"Allison had high praise at your ability with a gun. Wanna come?" he smirked at her and she chuckled, breaking the tense atmosphere.
She nodded, sending a grin to her brother.

Lina silently followed Chris through the forest until they reached the burnt remains of the Hale House. The first thing Lina noticed was Kate Argent standing over Scott with a gun pointed at his chest. Her hands clenched into fists, blue sparcks cackling at her fingertips.
"Kate!" Chris called out to his sister, announcing his presence, and Kate, Allison, and Scott turned to him.
Kate's face was the picture of calm and Lina shivered when her eyes racked over her. Chris's eyes hardened and he subtly shifted closer to the teen.
"I know what you did. Put the gun down." he ordered his sister.
"I did what I was told to do." Kate informd him without wavering, though her eyes did flicker quickly to the burnt house.
"No one asked you to murder innocent people. There were children in that house, ones who were human. Look what you're doing now. You're holding a gun at a 16 year old boy with no proof he spilled human blood. We go by the code- Nous chassons ceux qui nous chassent." Chris reminded her pointedly and she pursed her lips in defience.
"We hunt those who hunt us." Allison translated quickly as she looked between her aunt and her father.
"Put the gun down." Chris ordered again, taking out his own gun and leveling it at Kate, who merely chuckled lightly at him without moving her aim away from Scott.
"Come on, Chris. You're not going to shoot your little sister." she taunted him with a smirk.
"What about me, Kate?" Lina spoke up, taking out the Glock19 and aiming straight at her heart. "You are threatening my best friend and tortured my brother in everything but blood." she smirked, firing a shot that landed just by her head as a warning. "So, put your gun down or I'll be forced to take action."
"You, I believe." Kate murmured, lowering her gun slowly so it wasn't pointed at Scott.
The front door to the Hale House started to squeak suddenly and Lina's gaze, along with everyone else's, was drawn to the noise. She barely held in her smirk. Buh- bye, Kate. Have fun in Hell.
"Allison, get back." Chris ordered his daughter as the door slowly opened, pointing his gun at the door.
"What is it?" Allison asked, arming herself with her bow and an arrow.
"It's the Alpha. "Scott anounced to her just as the door opened fully, but nothing was there for a moment before a huge black figure charged out the front door.
Peter ran like lightning, first knocking down Chris, then Allison and Scott. Lina was knocked down last, yet Peter didn't hit her as hard as he did the others. She saw Kate spinning in circles, her gun trained on a force she couldn't see.
"Come on! Come on!" she yelled.
Peter suddenly materialized right next to her, grabbing her wrist as she let out two gunshots, breaking it swiftly. He threw her into the house and dragged her inside, Allison running in after them. Running a hand through her hair, Lina sat up and looked around, silently wondering when her brother and Jackson were going to show up. Standing, she saw Derek and Scott run into the house, Allison running out seconds later. A few moments later, Stiles and Jackson pulled up in the Porsche.
Scott came flying out through a window, followed quickly by Peter. Stiles hit the horn on the car and then threw one of the Lydia's molotov cocktails at Peter, sending a wink to Peter when he caught it. Peter was about to toss it to the side when Scott threw Allison her bow, telling her to shoot. Lina and Stiles shared a panicked look as she let the arrow loose, hitting the beaker, and Peter's arm ignited. Jackson hurled the second Molotov at Peter and his whole body burned. He tried to go after Allison, but Scott leapt and punched him in the face, sending him staggering away, and he collapsed, shifting back partially into human form.
Allison came over to Scott while he was shifted and started to kiss him, even before his manifestations melted away. He looked at her wonderingly. "Why did you do that?"
"Because I love you."
Everyone turned at the sound of Derek walking through the leaves toward Peter and Lina, Stiles, and Scott suddenly realized that Derek was going to kill him, and if he does, then Scott can't be cured (not that the cure actually exists).
"Derek, if you do this, I'm dead. Her father, her family. What am I supposed to do!" Scott yelled.
Derek seemed to consider that, but Peter said he can smell that Derek's already decided, making the twins close their eyes at what came next. Derek slashed Peter's throat, and then stood to show everyone his red eyes.
"I'm the alpha now."

That night, Lina crawled into her brother's bed, curling up beside him as silent tears fell down their faces.
"He'll be back, Sti. You know he had a back-up plan. He never trusted Derek." Lina murmured.
He nodded. "Yeah, but that doesn't make it hurt any less. We had only just gotten him back."
She sighed. "I know, I know."
"... I think Lydia is the key to him coming back. The fact that she didn't Turn or die, it's suspicious." Stiles told her.
Lina nodded in agreement. "We'll have to keep a close eye on her."
"Yeah," He yawned. "Goodnight, Li."
"Night, Sti."
Peter would be back. They just had to be patient.
Now, I bet you're all curious as to why Stiles threw a Molotov cocktail at Peter. The twins have masks (obviously) and an act they keep up. Stiles threw the Molotov so no one would get suspicious of him and question where his true loyalties lay. In cannon, I've felt that Stiles was always a bit of a sociopath, so he and Lina will have sociopathic moments in this story.
Anyway, season one is done! :)
