Breaking The Habit
CHAPTER 23: EPILOGUE
Six years later
Sakura twisted and turned around in the bed. Throwing the cover on her body and off her body every once in a while and then huffing because she felt so uncomfortable. It was either too cold or too hot, and every position she was in made her feel restless. She couldn't lie on her back nor on her sides. And lying on her stomach was out of the question.
"Sasuke~" she whined into the empty bedroom that was covered in shadows and the moonlight coming through the sheer white curtains that reached all the way to the floor.
It was the end of January and too cold to open the doors to the patio to let some fresh air come in. And the way the storm raged outside the penthouse, it was everything except inviting for her to open the patio door.
Sakura huffed again and rose into a seated position. Pushing the cover away from her body Sakura got up from the bed and walked to the double doors that lead to the hallway. She clicked the light on inside the bedroom and as she stepped outside it the hallway brightened up instantly. Sakura smiled unconsciously at Sasuke's idea to get automatic light to the rest of the apartment.
The light lid up from movement and Sasuke with his talent and interest in technology wanted to be the one to build and install them. It was much easier to move around because you didn't have to look around for the switchs all the time. Of course, if something happened to the movement detector system you could still turn on the lights by hand.
Sakura made her way into the kitchen and went to dug through the fridge. She was hungry since their housekeeper was on vacation the past two days there wasn't any properly prepared food in the apartment at all. Sakura had spend her nights and days going outside to her family for dinner and lunches she spend with Hinata, Ino and Tenten.
Unfortunately, she had come so used to the housekeeper doing almost all of the work around the apartment that the simple task of making food seemed too hard. Sasuke seriously was spoiling her too much. She needed to give more free time to their housekeeper and get back to her wifely duties of taking care of their household. It was hard because she was just around the corner to graduating from medical school and she needed to study for the final tests.
And with Sasuke over seas on a business trip her motivation was next to a zero. It was almost impossible to do anything without her husband on her side since Sasuke like to do all kinds of things together. Even taking her to university and picking her up from there was something he enjoyed and insisted on doing.
Grabbing eggs from the fridge and a banana from the bowl on the counter Sakura started piling the things she needed. Digging through the cabinets she found a metal bowl and next she hunted for some oil and seasoning. Deciding not to make the more healthier version of the pancakes she desired, Sakura grabbed the vanilla sugar and returned to her goodies.
Grabbing two eggs she broke them into the bowl and then put the banana in and sprinkled some sugar on top.
She had no idea where the mixer was so she grabbed a fork and smashed the concoction together. Next up she heated the pan on a medium heat and cooked her pancakes. She was in love with this recipe.
Her stomach was growling loudly and she had to drink a glass of water.
It was so quiet in the penthouse and almost too quiet. Of course she knew that their bodyguard Ayato was in his own room and would be ready to come to her rescue if anything happened.
But as she cooked her pancakes she just really wished Sasuke was here.
As she was sitting on the breakfast table looking at nothing and munching on her banana pancakes she didn't hear Ayato coming in.
"Ma'am?"
She jumped from his sudden appearance and her heart pounded inside her chest.
"Y-you scared me, Ayato!"
"S-sorry, ma'am." He lowered his head. He was wearing long pyjama pants and a long sleeved shirt and he looked like he just got out of bed with his messy hair and swollen eyes.
"Why are you awake at this time of the night?" Sakura asked and took another piece of her pancakes. It was 3AM.
"I should be the one asking you that." Ayato smiled back and went to grab a glass of water. "I woke up to the sounds coming from the kitchen just a minute ago."
"I should have been more careful!" Sakura looked down at her food, "I just couldn't help myself."
"It's okay, ma'am. It is also my duty to come and check on you if you happen to wake up."
"I know, I know. Sasuke's demands." Sakura waved her hand in the air and rolled her eyes. "Just go back to sleep, I'll finish this and head back there, too."
"Goodnight, ma'am."
"Goodnight, Ayato!" She chirped back to him only to finish the rest of her pancakes in record time. Sighing in happiness at the feeling of her monster satiated Sakura cleaned the mess she made and headed back to bed.
It had become a routine for her to be sleeping in Sasuke's shirt every time he was away because it reminded her of his presence and kept her nightmares away. Sasuke's smell was her medicine to all problems, but unfortunately she couldn't wear his boxer so she had to use her own pyjama shorts.
Slipping under the covers, Sakura checked her phone to see if Sasuke had massaged her at all. He had not so she put the phone back on the nightstand and made herself comfortable on her side. Moving just a bit closer to Sasuke's side of the bed, Sakura inhaled in his smell and soon she was completely out of it with stomach full of pancakes.
"Still no sign of him?" Tenten's worried voice came through the phone.
"No," Sakura sighed, "he said he would be back before today, but he hasn't even called or texted. I'm really getting worried now."
"Sakura, I'm sure he's okay! Maybe his flight is just late."
"He uses a private jet, Tenten." Sakura deadpanned.
"Oh, yeah. I totally forgot." Her friend started to laugh at himself.
"You're getting way, too used to living the high life Tenten. Maybe you should tone it down a little and realize that you're not the only one with a rich husband." Sakura laughed back at Tenten.
"I'm sorry! It's just takes some time to get used to. And we've only been married for a month now, so I'm just not so into this money everywhere type of lifestyle."
"You probably should have let Neji spoil you at least to some extent. You barely even wanted a proper wedding ceremony with him." Sakura shook her head. Tenten could some times be the most slowest of persons and the most stubborn.
While she was engaged to Neji she hated that he wanted to buy her everything and she even demanded that they moved in to an apartment which she could also afford. To Neji that was a shock since he was so used to living more comfortably without having to worry about neighbors and stuff. But he only agreed to move in to that tiny apartment with Tenten, if she promised that once they were married they would buy a house.
Well, technically Neji bought the house and Tenten was still trying to come to terms that she had a rich husband. It was actually comical because every time Sakura wanted to go for a lunch, Tenten was ready to go and pick something from a fast food joint even if they could just go to a little more pricey place with much healthier options.
Sasuke detested the idea of Sakura eating unhealthily and often talked to her about it.
"It's just not my style! I'd rather live my life in leggings and a hoodie."
"Well, Mrs. Hyuuga you should have a conversation about that with your husband. He might have different ideas. And you know that his family is very traditional about everything." Sakura said and bit her nails.
"I know, and it's freaking me out. Neji's father is like some dude that comes from the Middle Ages. He talks so-, so-"
"Like he was citing a book or something?"
"Yes! It's really creepy. You sure you don't want to switch in-laws?" Tenten asked with a pleading voice.
"No, thank you! I like my own very much." Sakura laughed again and checked the clock for the time. It was already ten thirty in the morning and her appointment was supposed to be right now. Mikoto had called early in the morning asking about her appointment and when it was. She would have liked to come along but she had a small gathering with her friends for brunch.
"I need to go now, Tenten," Sakura said, "my appointment should be just now."
"Oh! Of course, I'll see you tomorrow! Bye!"
"Bye!" Hanging up her phone Sakura put it back into her purse.
There was a few other women sitting in the waiting area with their husbands and actually one of them had a girlfriend, whereas Sakura was completely alone. Sasuke was supposed be home already and come for this appointment to check the sex of their baby, but he was nowhere to be seen. Sakura was biting her lips nervously.
She didn't want to do this all by herself.
Sasuke had promised to be here and that's why they booked the appointment for today. He never broke his promises before.
"Mrs. Uchiha?" Came a voice of Sakura's doctor and she rose up to look at the tall woman coming towards her.
"Good morning," Sakura said breathlessly and shook the doctor's hand.
"Morning, could you please follow me."
Sakura followed after her and kept glancing behind her if Sasuke was to made it. She really wanted him here. At first they didn't want to know the sex of the baby, but as the months went by and so did the original ultrasound in which it could have been told to them, Sakura decided that she wanted to know. Now that she was over seven months along her stomach was clearly visible.
It wasn't a huge stomach, but a smallish baby bump and everyone could clearly see that she was pregnant.
"Just take a seat, I'll get the machine ready and in no time we'll know which one you're expecting." The doctor said and pointed at the examination table for her to get comfortable. As she rounded the curtain a surprise was waiting for her behind it. She literally shrieked in fear as arms wrapped around her middle and pulled her in for an embrace. Sakura didn't need to see the face of the intruder because she was already blasted with Sasuke's musky scent.
"Did you really think I would miss this?" He murmured near her ear as she wrapped her arms around his body.
"I wasn't sure what I was supposed to think," she smiled against his chest, "but I was starting to lose hope."
The doctor let the couple hug it out and made sure that the ultrasound was ready. It was as if she wasn't even in the room, but from her side vision Sakura saw the tender smile on her face.
Sasuke pulled Sakura at arms length and kissed her lips as his hands brushed Sakura's waistline and the baby bump.
"Are you ready?" He whispered against her lips and Sakura beamed up at him. She was so excited!
Sasuke helped her to lay on the bed and Sakura rolled her shirt up as Sasuke sat down on the bed next to her.
"This might feel cold," the doctor said and squeezed some gel on top of Sakura's lower stomach.
Sakura was biting her nails the whole time the doctor moved the probe on her stomach as they waited for the answer. Her other hand was held by Sasuke, who was just as intently staring at the monitor.
"And-," the tall doctor started, "here we have a," she paused and Sakura craned her neck to see properly, "girl."
The whole room was silent as the parents-to-be just stared at the monitor while the doctor was waiting for their reaction. Finally after staring at the screen for a minute Sakura faced Sasuke, "We're having a girl?"
Sasuke's lips were twitching as he sprang from his seat and kissed Sakura's forehead to whisper, "We're having a baby girl."
Sakura didn't want to get out of the tub. The water was so warm and cozy that she just wanted to lay there and forget about everything else. Unfortunately she hated how her fingers and toes wrinkled so she begrudgingly got out and wrapped a fluffy towel around herself.
The bathroom was full of steam and the mirrors were blurred.
Taking another towel, Sakura dried her hair and the rest of her body. Grabbing Sasuke's shirt that actually was supposed to go to the laundry Sakura chucked it over her head and exited the bathroom.
Sasuke was still in his office finishing his work and making the last few calls before calling it a night.
Sakura headed for the king sized bed and pulled the covers off and threw the decorated pillows to the floor near the tall windows. Slipping under the warm covers Sakura leaned against the headboard and grabbed her medical book.
She was trying to memorise all the normal things that would definitely be requited to know on her final test. All of the things were something she knew already so it was as if reading something she had read a hundred times.
The door finally opened after twenty minutes and Sasuke walked in. He had already bathed himself before Sakura and he was wearing a t-shirt along with sweatpants. He looked exhausted and ready go to bed. He reached for the light switch and turned the lights off.
Sakura placed the book on the nightstand as Sasuke slipped under the covers. Instantly she inched as close to him as possible and Sasuke wrapped his right arm around her pulling her as close to him as possible. Sakura's stomach was protruding in the way so she couldn't get really that close. Sasuke laid his head right next to Sakura's forehead and kissed her forehead.
"I'm happy that you're back," Sakura said quietly.
"Me, too. It's really cold and lonely to sleep without you in my arms."
"And everyone thinks you're the distant one, who doesn't want to cuddle at all." Sakura chuckled.
"I don't like to cuddle with anyone else except you."
"Nice to know I'm an exception."
"Hn." Sasuke's fingers were slowly moving up and down Sakura's back.
Sakura tilted her head upwards and kissed Sasuke's lips, "Two weeks is too long time to be apart from you." as she shivered under his touch. His hands had made its way under the t-shirt and he was brushing the bare skin of her back.
She had never lost the way her body reacted to Sasuke. His touch just ignited something inside her. It might be the pregnancy hormones but she felt the fire start to burn in her core as Sasuke's fingers continued their slow movements.
Sasuke's arm wrapped even tighter around Sakura's waist and he pulled her right against him. His other hand cupping her face and bringing her lips back against his. Sakura hummed softly into the kiss, enjoying the feelings her husband was giving her.
"Don't-" she was cut off by a kiss, "torture me." Sasuke's tongue brushed Sakura's lower lip begging her for entrance which she easily granted him. Why wouldn't she?
"I really like you wearing my shirts." Sasuke smirked and rose to take off his shirt while pulling Sakura's shirt off, too. Unfortunately taking the shirt off wasn't as easy as it used to be because Sakura, for obvious reasons, wasn't as flexible. But as he lifted her to a seated position, it was easy to take anything off.
He lowered her back on to the bed into the same position they had previously been; on their sides. It was hard for Sakura to be on her back because the baby pressed against her spine.
His fingers found Sakura's sensitive mounds and she wrapped her fingers around his neck to steal another searing kiss from him. A tiny flick of his finger against her bud cause a moan Sakura couldn't stop. Her body has been oversensitive to everything and Sasuke knew that well enough. It was only a matter of second before Sakura realized she was completely wet and ready for him.
But Sasuke didn't want to hurry, instead he slowly tortured her breasts and her sides.
Sakura was getting more and more impatient with the slow pace. Her fingers inched downwards and over Sasuke's chest and abs. His muscles contracted under her fingers as she slipped her hand into his sweatpants. As her fingers wrapped around his hard member she felt him sigh against her lips. It was exactly what she should have done earlier because Sasuke's fingers slowly moved down to her core.
It felt like being electrocuted as Sasuke's fingers touched her folds and started another torturous pace to make her even more frustrated. She wanted to hump against his fingers but the hand on her hip stopped all of her movements.
"Please," she whimpered and moaned as Sasuke touched her clit. It was everything her body had craved for the past two weeks. She needed the release given to her only by him.
"Please, Sasuke." Sakura moaned again her body tensing as she was so close to the release but every time he backed his fingers away. She couldn't keep up the slow pace she had around his member, and all thought of trying to pleasure him went literally out of the window. Her body just couldn't handle the feelings and sensations.
"What do you want, my love?" Sasuke asked with a hint of amusement.
"You!" She was able to open her eyes and glare at him, "You. In. Me." moaning, "Now!" She was desperate.
For a moment, Sakura lost all sense of stability and sense of her surroundings as Sasuke flipped her from her right side to her left. She really had no time to even come to terms with the change of position before he had buried himself deep inside her.
Inaudible moan was all she could produce as she gripped the sheets tightly between her fingers. Sasuke had a slow pace again and Sakura arched her back as his other arm snuck under her head to grab her hand. His other hand held Sakura's thigh to get a better position and that was all she needed to be in heaven.
She didn't need a fast and hard pace to feel good. All she needed was Sasuke inside her and touching her. That was her lifeline and everything that she existed for.
Before she knew it, her peak was coming hard and she had no time to prepare for it. Her body convulsed and she moaned Sasuke's name under her breath. Both of Sasuke's arms wrapped completely around her, pulling her flush against his chest as her walls tightly wrapped around him. Her release was enough to make him come, too and they both panted on their sides.
After finding out that she was expecting a child for Sasuke, every love making has been as intense as the last one. Sakura didn't need much to come, but she knew she needed Sasuke. It felt wrong to do anything alone so she had to patiently wait for her husband to come from his trips before anything could happen. And with Sakura's hormones it wasn't an easy task.
"I love you," Sakura whispered to him as he threw the blanket over both of them.
"I love you, too."
The End
Okay.. I have to admit, I was tempted to make a sad ending for this one, but then I realized that I'm not that kind of a person. So this is what I came up with for you and I hope this fills your need for SasuSaku moments even for a while.
I won't be making a sequel for this but I have to say I'm very intrigued to write something SasuSaku related in which they are adults. I actually have something written already, but we'll see when I'll be able to post it. The story I came up with is a short one so no more than five chapters. And I'll be writing them while I write my two other stories. But I won't be posting them as I will be posting my full stories. So no regular updates.
All I can say about that short story, is that it's going to be a little dark with a deathly disease in it. But who knows who will die, Sasuke or Sakura, or will they both live? So if you want to read this short story follow me and you'll know when its up. (I'll try getting it posted on March)
I will also inform about it on my profile when I publish the first chapter.
Thanks for all of my reviewers and followers and guests for reading this story. It has been amazing to write this! I truly love Sasuke and Sakura as a couple and I'll be writing about them in the future, too.
Thanks for last chapter's reviewers:
