They stood there proudly, shoulders thrown back, heads held high. Two crews stood there, their eyes were trained on the two men standing before them; two captains of tremendous strength. The wind was blowing softly, ruffling their hair and tugging at their clothes, whipping the sweet scent of wildflowers around them. One had blonde hair and lazy blue eyes while the other had darker features and an old straw hat.

On the hill behind the blonde haired man and his crew rose the proud figure of two graves, beautifully crafted and meticulously pristine. The two crews had met up on this island on the anniversary of the third year after the Great War of the Age, both to pay their respects to the men and women who had fought and died bravely, but most of all, to the two great men that were the reason for the fight.

"It's been a while, yoi." Marco commented, staring down at the young captain brother to his brother.

"Yeah, it has." Luffy stared back at him for a moment before doing something that surprised all present. He bowed. His head came even to his waist, his eyes were downcast, his back straight, his hands were at his sides.

"Thank you," came the quiet voice that steadily grew stronger, "I didn't have time to tell you last time. Ace… Ace wanted me to tell you something." He stuttered for a second, his voice dying away as he remembered his brothers last words.

"What… what did he want us to know?" Marco prompted him, eyes growing a little moist as he watched as tear drops began to fall from dark eyes that he couldn't see.

"Tha- thank you f-for loving me!" Luffy shouted after a pause, his face twisted and pinched as tears and snot ran down his face. His back heaved as he cried, drawing in great gusts of air. Behind him his crew looked at each other before they, too, bowed.

"Thank you!" Came their collective shout, startling the other crew, who had already started to cry. Marco stood there, face to the sky with one arm covering his face, tears trailing down his chin.

"That clumsy fool." Was all he could whisper.

Yeah, so I went back and rewatched the Marineford arc for like the fourth time, and I cried for pretty much every episode. Then it came to the part where Ace was telling Luffy and this scene just popped into my head.

So many feels.

So. Many.
