Ten days.

That was the exact amount of time that the 10th Division taicho believed that his division could function properly without him. No one is brave enough to confirm or deny the validity of the statement made by the young taicho.

Ten days.

That was how long the honeymoon lasted for the newlywed taichos. As one shinigami so eloquently said, the ten days were "…just long enough to be a vacation to them… any sane person would try to stay for as long as possible."

Ten days.

That was how long it took before people started inquiring about the possibility of a child and the starting of a new family. It started with subtle hints about stamina and training; it later progressed to unsubtle hints about the schedules so that both taicho knew who was free at what time in case they ever needed a babysitter.

Ten days.

That was how long the newlyweds had returned to work before the soutaicho called a mandatory all-taicho-must-be-present meeting.

Ten days.

That was the record for the longest amount of time without any mishaps happening in Seireitei. Not even a single wall was destroyed by the 11th Division during the time since both taicho returned to work.

Ten hours.

That was how long the taicho meeting lasted that fateful day.

Ten minutes.

That was how long the meeting lasted while still being pleasant and good-natured.

Ten words.

That was what caused the end of the peace.

"Two Hitsugaya-taichos? How are we going to tell them apart?"

Ten seconds.

That was how long the silence reigned before Hitsugaya-taicho of the 13th Division sighed.

Ten seconds.

That was how long everyone stood still waiting for something more than a sigh from the petite taicho.

Ten heartbeats.

That was how long it took many of the taicho to realize that the temperature was steadily dropping in the room.

Ten breaths.

That was how many breaths Hitsugaya Rukia took before finally responding with words.

"Oh come on! Why can't you just give me a break?"

AN: That's the end! The rest I shall leave to your imagination.

I couldn't help but realize that I had the two Kuchiki-taichos problem solved when Rukia and Toshiro married. Right after I wrote that chapter, I realized that it was going to be two Histugaya-taichos now. I also couldn't help but think that Rukia would react this way.

It's been a blast writing Catch Me A Catch and Give Me A Break. Thank you for all of the support, whether it was just reading or leaving a review, it means a lot to me! Thank you!

And I hope you have all enjoyed reading this!

Also, I happened to submit this chapter as a free-write for one of my classes, and one of the requirements was to have repetition of the same interval of time. Mine was obviously in tens. Please, tell me how you think I did with it.
