Love-struck
The young blue haired warrior princess circled Mr. Sandbag with her Falchion unsheathed, in hand and eyeing the punching bag as if it would wake up and attack her any second. Grasping at the hilt with both of her hands now, Lucina let out a roaring battle cry as she rushed towards Mr. Sandbag and slashed in front of her, making contact with the bag. Jumping in the air, she slashed in a downward arc slicing the head of Mr. Sandbag. Right as she landed in front of him, she immediately turned around and horizontally slashed it's abdomen.
Lucina back flips in the air and puts distance between her and the sandbag. Aiming the tip of her sword at Mr. Sandbag, she roared once again and dashed at him. Then out of no where, Palutena teleported between Lucina and Mr. Sandbag.
"Afternoon Lucina," Palutena greeted, obviously known of the incoming impact.
"Lady Palutena!?" With her concentration wavering, Lucina dropped her Falchion and tripped on her feet. Palutena held her arms out and caught the warrior princess before she hit the ground. "What in the Goddesses name were you doing teleporting in front of my attack!?"
Palutena laughed. "Well in my name I came in to check up on you. Why else would I be here?"
"Probably to get impaled by my Falchion it seems," Lucina huffed.
"Honestly Lucina, you would normally be so happy to see me and especially happy that you're in my arms right now. I'm surprised that you haven't even turned into a tomato, Lucy."
The Goddess smirked with what came next. Having been brought up to speed what's going on, Lucina did indeed turn a dark shade of red when she realized that she was still in Palutena's arms. Lucina gasped and stepped away from Palutena, putting some distance in between them.
"As I was saying," Lucina begun as she fixed herself. "If you wanted to see me, then why teleport in between me and Mr. Sandbag? Why not just walk in and wait for me like any other person would do?"
"Because I'm not like everyone else and you know this," Palutena chimed in with a hum. "I believe everyone knows that I am indeed a Goddess and therefor does not make me the same?"
With a sigh, Lucina waved her hand. "That's not what I meant."
"I know it's not. However, I do enjoy to tease you." Walking past Lucina who clearly felt another blush creeping up, Palutena bent down and picked up Falchion. "Such a marvelous sword. You said that it was crafted by your Goddess, am I correct?"
Lucina walked up to her and was handed her Falchion back. "Yes but I wouldn't really call Naga a Goddess, she is more of a divine dragon more than anything. She is worshiped as a Goddess but she can be killed like any other creature."
Palutena tilted her head in acknowledgement. "I see. I would really much like to get to know this, Naga, if I were to be given the chance. She sounds interesting. I've never even heard of dragons being divine."
Lucina chuckled. "No I guess not."
Mr. Sandbag leaned toward one side and collapsed with a large amount of it's sand flowing out of the open wounds that was delivered by Lucina moments ago. Palutena noticed the poor sandbag and stared at Lucina.
"So would you mind telling me why you were mauling that poor thing with Falchion?" she said as she pointed at Mr. Sandbag.
"I was training." Lucina walked over to Mr. Sandbag and sat down next to the thing, gathering up the sand around her. Palutena sat down in front of her and helped her. "I know that we're all about to leave the mansion soon and I don't feel like I should go back home yet." She paused. "I don't feel ready to go back yet."
Palutena smiled sadly. "Do you think that maybe it's because you're leaving behind all the friends that you have made?" Lucina saw that sad smile of hers and placed a her hand over Palutena's. "I know I'm not ready. Imagine all of the couples in the mansion who belong in other dimensions."
"Like Samus and Zelda?"
"Mhm," Palutena hummed. "Would be such a shame to have to split apart just because you live in two different worlds. It goes the same for strong friendships that were also crafted here and soon to clearly be forgotten as everyone leaves."
Lucina noticed Palutena's solemn tone at the end of her sentence. "What do you mean forgotten?"
"It's as I said. Once everyone leaves this world, this dimension, then everyone will continue on with their lives in their world." Palutena returned the sand into Mr. Sandbag and closed up the wound with a few stitches. "Everyone will eventually forget or not care."
"Now you know that is not true, no one will forget anyone."
With a shrug of her shoulders, Palutena smiled at Lucina. "It's very amusing to hear you say that, Lucy."
Scowling at Palutena, Lucina stood up on her feet and crossed her arms. "I'm not saying this just to be amusing Palutena, I really do mean it. Why would any of us choose to forget those that we have met? There are hard times that we had too, but we shouldn't forget about anything. It's almost insulting to hear you say that."
Palutena stood back up and lowered her gaze to meet her eyes with Lucina. She brought her hand up and caressed the warrior princess' cheek. Lucina held her breath from Palutena's sudden touch, she never has been this friendly with her. There she goes, Palutena having that sad smiling again pierced Lucina's heart.
"If you see it that way then I will acknowledge it besides, that is not important. With the fact that you do not feel ready to leave then maybe there is a reason why you feel that way." Palutena returned her hand. Lucina wanted to ask her to keep her hand there but decided against it. "Do you know why you feel such a way?"
Lucina shook her head. "No. I just feel like I have to do something very important before I leave. If I leave this world without accomplishing the task then I feel like I'm going to regret it my whole life."
With a chuckle from Palutena she reached and grabbed Lucina's hand. "Truly, you must have some sort of idea my dear."
Lucina's heart skipped. "Lady Palutena?"
"Shh, just Palutena is fine my dear."
"It's funny..." Lucina moved in a little closer to the Goddess and placed her hands on the Goddess' shoulders. "When I arrived her and witnessed Zelda and Samus' display of affection for each other I was a little disgusted and very much confused. I was very ignorant about their kind of love..."
Palutena's smile faltered. "Ah yes, I remember Peach telling me that. Quite the gossip she is."
"But they also have opened my eyes. I never did understand why I felt such a way with people...with women. I know I have an attraction towards some of my fellow comrades back where I am from, but I never thought I would have the same feeling towards a woman. Towards you."
Palutena was taken by surprise by Lucina's last few words. Lucina broke their gaze for a second and took a deep breath.
"Gods, it's so weird. Weird that someone like me, a warrior is falling for a Goddess who's very much gorgeous and intelligent no less. Yet there is a mixture of playfulness within your spirit that makes me forget what kind of an apocalyptic future I come from." Lucina bit her lip. "I somewhat feel like a fool for revealing these sort of things to you, especially since you are the one who I'm practically spilling all these feelings for."
Palutena cupped Lucina's cheek and smiled. "Quite honestly I think of you as a brave fool, my dearest Lucina."
"You knew?"
The Goddess chuckled. "How could I not? The signs were very strong coming from you. Especially since I noticed the way you act around me. Don't think I missed you hiding behind Peach when I suddenly appeared for the sleepover."
"As I said...intelligent," Lucina muttered. "Though are you willing to forget me once we part ways and head back to our own dimensions?"
Palutena's eyes widened, seemingly hurt. "I would never want to forget you."
"Then guesses are that you thought that I would eventually forget you?"
With a slight nod from Palutena, Lucina closed the space between them with a gentle kiss to her lips. Palutena stood still as she was completely unprepared for this but did return the kiss and pulled Lucina closely towards her, their bodies pressed up against each other. As they finally broke out of the kiss, Lucina smiled at the Goddess and with her hand caressed Palutena's cheek.
"Do you really think I would forget that?"
Palutena returned the smile. "I guess not. Very clever of you."
"Well I learned from the best."
Palutena chuckled. "Oh how sweet of you."
"Not you, Peach."
Palutena playfully nudged Lucina with her nose. "Funny but that's the only type of humor you can achieve.
Both women exchange laughs but eventually, as their laughter died down so did their spirits.
"I don't want to leave," Lucina muttered as she hid her face within the crook of Palutena's neck.
"I know you don't," the Goddess cooed. "I don't want to either."
Edit/Update 8/2/2016: I first wanted to say I am so sorry about not posting anything in a long time. I have no excuse other than laziness taking over. I also was backed up by Fire Emblem Fates and...oh boy, all the ships I could ever want. Anyways, I needed to bring up this update. No changes to this story sadly.
A/N: No Samus or Zelda in this one, sorry to disappoint but we have our two other favorite girls. I actually feel like Lucina was the more fleshed out from all of the characters in this story. That's my opinion. Anyways, first chapter done, last two to go. I very much wished I could do more with them. Sadly, they wish the same thing.
