'Wow even though we're only going for three weeks, I had no idea we'd have to take this much stuff.'

Caterina was reading through a list of items that councillors were suggested they take to the upcoming Conduit Summer Camp. It was a while away yet, but Caterina liked to be organised and prepared so she had begun buying and packing all the things she and Delsin needed. She was sat at the kitchen table going through all the paperwork that had been sent about the camp with Delsin.

'That's nothing.' Delsin stated. 'Most Summer Camps go on for way longer than this one. You could take a houseful of things and it still wouldn't be enough.'

'Hmm I didn't know. We don't have camp back home so all I know is what is in movies and stuff.'

'Well it's nothing special, it's pretty much just kids whose parents can afford to send them to camp for weeks on end just so they don't have to deal with them all summer.'

'Hmm I suppose it's a great way for these kids at least to make some friends and be around people like them.' Cat said as she ticked some things she already had off her list. 'Oh looks like there's some other bits we don't have that we need to buy.' She continued as she held the list up for Delsin to see.

Delsin stood from his seat and made his way round to where Caterina was sat and draped his arms round her, resting his chin on her head.

'When we get back from this camp, we should start planning our vacation to the UK.' Delsin said as he squeezed Cat gently. 'I'm gonna make tea, you want one?'

'Sure, thanks baby.'

Delsin and Caterina spent the morning cleaning the house and drinking cups of tea. Delsin had taken some laundry upstairs which Cat had spent most of the morning ironing then returned to find her sat at the table taking a break with another cup of tea and a magazine.

'Babe, is my suit hung out for a reason?' Delsin asked her as he'd just seen it hung up in their bedroom.

'We've got that charity event tonight remember?'

'Oh shit I totally forgot about it. Do I have to wear the suit?' Delsin sighed.

'Yes you do, it's black tie. I have a dress I have to wear. I've booked a hotel for a few nights so we can have a nice few days off without having to rush back, it'd be nice just to take a break.'

'I'm so glad you're in charge of stuff like that, I'd totally forget.' Delsin rubbed his neck almost in embarrassment, admitting he wasn't very good at being organised.

'And I've already packed our cases for tonight too.' Cat beamed at Delsin.

'Is there anything else you've done that I haven't noticed?' Delsin exclaimed.

'Nope. All done.' Cat smiled.

'Aw I actually can't wait for tonight now! Schmoozing with people at a charity event, a huge fancy buffet and loads of drinks and a few nights in a nice hotel with the best girlfriend in the world ever.' Delsin bellowed as he hugged Cat from behind and buried his face in to her neck. His breath on her skin tickled and made her giggle a bit.

'Well don't get too comfortable we need to finish up here, load the truck then get going. It starts at half past seven tonight so we need to be on the road before we hit the home time traffic and at the hotel in plenty of time to get ready.' Said Cat. 'So by my watch, it's err, half past 2 now so I think we should leave in an hour?'

'Sounds good to me. Come on lets finish off the housework and get going!'

Cat had to chuckle at Delsin's enthusiasm. He had been a lot more chilled since Cat had gotten over her sickness. She was really quite bad and it took her a little while to get over it which meant the house was pretty quiet. It wasn't like Delsin to get excited over social events like this but it was for charity and Cat had sweetened the deal with the hotel. Cat and Delsin did spend most of their time on the reserve so it was nice for them to get even just a few days away even if it was only a quick break in Seattle which wasn't that far away, but worlds away from the reserve.

The traffic wasn't that bad but it was built up enough to delay Cat and Delsin on their journey to Seattle. The journey that was usually forty minutes at the most on an average day but it was going to take them at least an hour. Delsin fiddled around with the radio in the truck and tuned it to a channel to get the local traffic news. Of course there had been a pretty bad accident on the freeway but authorities were doing their best to sort it out and get traffic moving again. Delsin switched the radio back to a rock music channel. He had noticed it was relatively quiet in the truck cab save for the music but he'd then noticed that Cat had dozed off. He left her to her nap, knowing she'd need her energy later for the charity even. Delsin smiled to himself and turned back to driving. The traffic had begun to ease up a bit so it wouldn't take too long to get to the city.

The event tonight was a charity auction held by the Conduit Rights League. Many companies and organisations had put up several items and prizes up for auction to raise funds for the CRL and all the non-profit charities that helped Conduits and their families. Delsin and Caterina had actually put up some of their photos and paintings for auction so it would be nice to see what would be bid for them and who bought them.

Delsin pulled the truck in to the car park of the Seattle Grand Hyatt and gently shook Cat awake.

'Are we there yet?' She mumbled drowsily as she came to and rubbed her eyes.

'Yep were here. C'mon lets go check in.'

Delsin quickly got out of the truck and grabbed the cases off the back seat. Cat sleepily stepped out and collected Delsin's suit and her dress that were hung on the handrail in the back of the truck in their covers. She carefully draped them over her arm and followed Delsin through to the main reception to check in. After confirming their reservation they were issued with their hotel room key cards and quickly made their way to the elevators. The couple never stayed in hotels that often but Cat always insisted that they splurge on somewhere really nice whenever they did. She had booked a really nice room with all the mod cons, lots of space and a beautiful view of the city. Plus it was only a few blocks away from the Benroya Hall where the event was to be held.

Cat had already started to put their things away and get ready. Delsin had literally thrown himself in the shower for all of ten minutes as Cat was getting ready. He got out to find her already in her dress, hair up in an intricate side bun style and she was now busy putting some make up on.

'And I thought women were supposed to take forever getting ready.' Delsin cackled as he quickly dried himself and proceeded to put his clothes on. Cat however was busy making weird faces in the mirror as she put her mascara on.

'Not always baby.' Cat chuckled back at him as she contorted her face, now trying to put mascara on her other eye. A quick slick of lipstick, dangly sparkly earrings and a squirt of perfume and she was done. Delsin was doing his best to hurry up. Caterina ended up tying his necktie for him though, in his rushing he had managed to make a mess of doing it himself.

'Come one, I'll get front desk to order us a taxi to the Benroya I'm not walking all that way in these shoes.' Cat said. She could now smell Delsin's cologne, signalling he was finished getting ready. At this point the pair were just staring at each other in two minds on whether or not to actually go to this event or just stay in the hotel room and do naughty things with each other.

'You look gorgeous as always Cat.' Delsin said smiling at her. Cat moved over to Delsin and fixed the lapels on his suit.

'And you my Prince look rather dashing.'

The couple shared a quick kiss as they left their room; Cat grabbing her clutch purse on the way. A taxi was already waiting for them outside the foyer as they got downstairs. It wasn't really all that far to the Benroya Hall but Cat wasn't one for walking much distance in high heels. She was super excited however to see how much their work would sell for. She knew that the money would go toward helping a charity that needed it and would do good work with the funds. She and Delsin however agreed earlier that they wouldn't bid on anything unless it was something they really wanted. They would however make a substantial donation.

The taxi soon pulled up outside the Benroya Hall and Delsin and Cat stepped out. There was a red carpet outside the main entrance along with security guards and greeters. The couple were instantly recognised and welcomed in. Even inside they were recognised as several reporters and photographers were instantly trying to get a comment or photo of the two in amongst the crowds.

'This is gonna be an interesting night.' Caterina mused. Delsin held her hand as they walked in to the main hall where the crowds had gathered.

'Lets go have some fun baby.'
