You could do this, you had to! Complete these games and make it better. Right now you where the only able to do this. You didn't need any help, you had the information with you, all James has to do is sit back and let you do this.
Even if you weren't sure where to go in this...desert market. The place was open yet crowded and oddly didn't feel stuffy. There where so many different...stores? You weren't sure of the actual word seeing that some people sold on the streets. While others had an actual store. The colors here where rich and bold, catching your attention and sparking your curiosity.
Tempted by the pull quickly shut it down and focus back on the task at hand.
"Alright," you stop for a moment to look at the paper. Read it a few times. "where to...first. Feather of a winged horse? Oasis tear? A date from the Tree Gardens? What?"
This list made no sense to you, most if not all of these thing made no sense. Where would find any of these? Sighing, tuck the paper away and look around. There had to be someone who might know or might have these items. You had to see and finish this, for James...it was the least you could do.
"James," you quietly whisper lowering your eyes to the sand. Saying his name weighed heavy in you. In a certain area you put a hand over on your chest.
His injuries...
So many different emotions washed over, you cringed a little inside, your lip began trembling a little. Realizing this quickly bite it, stopping it. Now wasn't the time to think or have such emotions cloud you. You needed to finish this whole thing, it was the right way. A warrior, you tell yourself wiping away the mistiness in that had begun to rise in your eyes. Which was unusual, not thinking much of it, set your eyes on someone far up ahead selling...jewels or in your case treasures of earth. That man would be the one to help you obtain at least one of these objects.
Setting your shoulders back, walk over with height. "Excuse me, seller!" you address the older man.
He peers over his stand at you, with a raised brow. Surprised by your approach. That didn't match your appearance. "Yes? Can I help you."
You take out the paper. "Yes, I need your help with a quest I have been given. You sell the treasures of earth, so you must have this one. The Oasis's Tear."
The man scratched a little pondering for a moment, while looking down at his assortment of jewels laid before him. Each one a different color. "Do you know what it looks like?"
You hadn't a clue. The paper didn't provide any sort of description or a drawing. Going over in your mind quickly from the information you could...sort of recall learning from school of anything about this object. Came up empty.
"I-I..."you stammer a bit, look down for a moment then up, "I am not sure. I just have the name, the Oasis's Tear. It has to be a treasure of earth. You must have it."
The man again looked through his jewels, shook his head, "I am sorry young one, but I don't have what you're looking for." Your heart sunk, he saw it the disappointment laid on your face. "But," he chuckled softly standing from where he sat. "I have heard of the Oasis's Tear."
You felt something jump elated inside. It beamed in your eyes a bit. He continued.
"The Tear isn't a jewel in sense but more of a collection." Confusion wrinkled on you a bit. "It is a place that collects a purity of smoothness altogether. It pours out like tears, just beyond the market if you fly towards the sun you'll find it. Surrounded by lushes green beauty."
He wasn't making much sense to you, but you took his words. "Thank you, would you happen to know where I can find the rest of these items for this quest?"
Handing him the list, he looks it over a few times. Scratching his head a little, nodding a little...mumbling too. After what seem like forever standing before him, he handed it back to you. With a kind smile.
"Yes, the items you seek aren't here in the market. They're out there." He pointed across to the other exit/entrance. "You will have to find them. But do not worry, they will be easy to find. The Winged Horses fly southeast closest to the Hanging Gardens. The Garden of Trees, a beautiful place is the other direction, you will spot it. It is a place of tranquility, a place of calmness. The rest though, you will have to discover on your own."
That wasn't what wanted to hear, but it was something. Looking at where he remained pointing, swallow a bit. The desert...nothing but sand and more sand. And sand again, barely any sort of green that you could think of feel. Honestly you thought there wasn't any sort of life in a place like this, tempted to lay your hand down on the sand and try to...search for green wouldn't happen. There was just too..much dryness..also you weren't your mother. There was only such you could do. Also, how would you get there? You hadn't a magic carpet, you left that back at the palace and James.
James...the weighted feeling came back. Complaining wasn't going to solve anything, you had to make this right...for him. You've come this far already and you needed to keep going. Thanking the man, leave to find something that would help as a way of travel. It took some time but you managed to find something, though you had to provide payment...reluctantly. But, it was worth it.
A warrior always put others before them, it was a code. Biting back such feelings, despite how much it hurt accept the trade and climb onto your new donkey . The thing took off the moment you set down, almost throwing you off, but you held on getting it steady and calm. Holding the reigns brace yourself against the desert elements, which was fair for the moment. Remembering what that man said where to go, direct the donkey that direction. Determined more than ever to complete this whole thing.
You weren't the only one determined, moments after you left the market James flew in on the carpet. "Layla! Layla!" He shouted for you, jumping off, "Where are you! Layla!"
There was no response, except looks from others. Wondering what he was doing. He didn't care only more concerned about locating you. Splitting up with the carpet who helped to look for you, James ran through the market calling for you. Asking others if they saw you, most didn't. Some pointed him to another person. Either way he found nothing. Worrying him.
Just why did you run off like that? Without him? The more he repeated those questions inside the higher his concern became, slowing his pace to walking now, through the market carefully took his time looking around. Left and right, all around. There was no way he could miss you or anyone, with your pointy ears and grey eyes. You should stand out by now. Still, he saw no sign of you. But something that belonged to you he spotted.
"Excuse me," James inquires walking over to the seller, his eyes on a particular item, points to it. "Where did you get that?"
