Regina sags in Emma's arms. There are no words right now. Henry grips her arm. Emma lowers them to the ground as Regina huddles in her arms and loses herself.

After a long while, kind words reach her. Her son, telling her he loves her. Emma telling her everything will be ok. And she starts to drift back to herself. She sits up a bit on her own.

"I'm so sorry…"

Henry squeezes her arm to stop her.

"Mom we want to be here. We're not going anywhere. We're family."

Regina dips her head. How did she get so lucky? That after all of the years of pain, and loneliness, she finally has her son back. He puts his forehead to hers and she calms. This is home, this is love, and this is enough.

Emma gives them a little distance, waving off some excuse, promising she will be back. She's panicking, she just promised she would be there for Regina, that she would try. And while she means that, there is a whole nother part of her freaking out. What did Cora mean she would lead to Regina's ending? Is she really meant to do nothing but harm Regina? She sits down behind a rock and tries to control her breathing.

Henry grips his mother's hand tight.

"I love you mom."

She beams back at him, even though the sadness she feels.

"I love you too Henry, so much."

He smiles and laughs, "I know mom, I… I really believe you. I have for a long time."

Her chest feels like it is about to burst.

"But mom, I need to talk to you…"

Regina's stomach bottoms out, she feels sick.

Henry looks her in the eyes and sighs, she is definitely going to be sick.

"Mom, is Emma hurting you?"

And Regina's face contorts in pain. She can't bring Henry into this, they did once before and they fell out. She's at war with herself for what to tell him.

"Mom.. you can trust me, I… I won't tell."

He looks at her with such sad eyes, she feels like he is in her head.

"No… no Henry…she's not."

Henry releases her hand.

"You don't have to lie to me mom. I… I can see the way you look when she's around. How sad she makes you…"

And Regina wants to disappear, because she has screwed up so much with Emma as well, it's not all the blonds fault. And as she is mounting a defense for Emma they hear a rock shift.

The blond stands caught in the headlights her face red.

"I… sorry." She turns to bolt and Regina calls out for her.

"Emma, please! Wait!" Regina is stumbling to get to her quickly, she trips, skinning her knee.

Emma sees her hit the ground and in that moment, she stops her fleeing and is at Regina's side.

"Shit." Regina winces.

Emma is shaking, her hands over Regina's knees, then her scraped palms.

Emma looks down, hurt eating away at her.

Henry looks at Emma, their eyes connecting. A silent promise. He loves her, but he loves his mom too. And he is worried.

Emma poofs them home.

Snow and Charming already in the loft. Snow tackling Regina when she sees her face.

"Hey, shhh." Regina just let's Snow take her to the couch.

Snow looks to Henry who nods, "Her dad…"

Snow wraps Regina in a blanket and Henry takes her place next to his mother and snuggles into her.

Snow rounds on Emma in the kitchen.

"Emma…" Emma knows that tone. She heard it every time before she was thrown away again. Just when she thought her issues were no more, just when she found her family, it's about to happen again.

Snow blinks rapidly and crosses her arms.

"You… the way she looks at you Em-ma. You… well you do it too. And I, it's time you… and I'm not telling you what to do sweetheart…."

Emma takes a step back. Regina has always been Snow's family and she has only known her mother for a few years now. Of course it's her or Regina.

As her breathing becomes sporadic, Snow pulls her into a hug.

"Damn it I just want to see both of you happy." And just like that, she isn't cast aside.

…..

It's late when the Charming's head upstairs for bed. Henry takes the couch by the window and is out like a light and Emma finds herself still sitting at the island counter nursing a coffee and stealing glances at Regina on the pull-out couch.

The Brunette is staring off into space and twisting…twisting the covers.

Emma moves hesitantly towards her. She sits a safe distance away.

"What did your mother… mean by I would destroy you, make you meet your ending." She lets out a sigh refusing to look at the brunette.

Regina shivers and her voice is horse and oh so quiet.

"I don't know…."

Regina is begging her to look at her, to come closer. But she won't ask, she can't get herself to ask.

Emma puts her head in her hands.

"I'm going to destroy you?"

Regina moves her feet under herself. "I don't believe so… may I should just, maybe Robin…"

And before she can finish that sentence Emma's lips are on hers, hands in her hair, hair tickling her neck.

She's shy and timid, and pulls her blanket closer.

Emma looks all over her face.

"I don't want to hurt you Regina…"

Regina pulls into herself more.

Emma's hand drifting to her cheek.

Regina reaches for Emma's neck and brings them closer. And this kiss lasts longer. And when they lay down and cuddle up both feel as if their lives might shatter.

They hear a sound and Emma starts to move away, upon seeing the look on Regina's face she moves back to exactly where she was. She even places her hand on Regina's chest.

When Snow sees them, she gives a hearty fist pump and tries to quietly slip back up the stairs.
