Chapter 5: Detective Duo vs The Twin of Darkness

Flashback

"Now that introduction is over, I'll be straightforward. We came here for one purposed."

Once again, Sonsaku narrows her eyes and she was emitting her aura furiously this time. She wasn't liking where this was going but she continue to ask in order to clarify her suspicion.

"….And that is?"

With a feral like grin, Mikazuki let out her answer.

"Simple…we're here to kill you."

Just that one innocent sounding question nearly sent chill to everyone there and to be honest, even Sonsaku felt that but she steeled herself and decided to play this out long enough until reinforcement gets here once the other patrols realized the Queen's patrol didn't make it back. However, Sonken had other plan.

"You dare threaten the Queen that way!? I will have your head for that!"

Before she could dash forward to meet her opponent, she felt a hand grabbed her by the arm.

"Sonken, wait!"

Sonsaku said with alarm. Sonken noticing her sister's somewhat tense reaction could not help but look back at the twin and sure enough at that moment and time…she felt it. Death. Her death that would no doubt had come if she faces them. Sonken was starting to feel a cold bead of sweat to pour down her forehead now and she gulp her saliva that she didn't realize she was holding in her mouth.

"It seems you felt it too, girl…Good, wouldn't want you to lose your pretty head after all."

Said Mikazuki with that ever feral grinned on her face. Before any Sonsaku could come up with a retort, an explosion occurs on the other side of the city.

"A-An attack!?"

"But how!?"

Both pinkette said in shocked. Shuyu meanwhile narrowed her eyes at such obivious flawed in tactical defense. How could she let this happen? And in their fortified cities? Mikazuki meanwhile was grinning while the other one, Shirayuki continues to stare blankly at the area where the city was being attacked.

"As expected of our men. Always reliable in night raiding. So, what now, Sonsaku? Are you going to just stand there and watch or go over there and help repel my men? At this point, I don't mind either. I mean, I will still have your head by the end of this…"

This time the grinned was gone and was now replace with a more harden looks. The looks of a warrior ready to do anything to reached her objective.

"Why you?! Such cowardly act! I will end you here!"

"Sonken!"

Her name being called made the younger pinkette look at her sister instantly as now Sonsaku had a serious look on her face as she step forwards and now stood in front of her.

"Take some of our men to aid the troops at the west side of the city. We need to stop the raid now."

"But-?!"

Sonken wanted to protest but her sister gave a sideway glance and she stop. Her sister's look was now fierce and serious, something Sonken rarely sees in her usually laid back and jovial sister. Even Shuyu herself in all her years knowing her lover had never seen her this tense and serious before.

"Sonken, as your Queen, I order you to go there, now! Do not waste time here or else more lives will be loss!"

Sonken shook for a bit but eventually turn away reluctantly and order some of the troops to follow her. Before she leaves however, she turn back to see Sonsaku focusing her gaze at twin.

"Please be alive when this is all over, Onee-sama!"

And with that Sonken turn and left. Sonsaku didn't bother to turn to look back but there was a small smile on her face as she mutter.

"I will, little sister…"

As Mikazuki look at some of the men and Sonken retreating to help repel the attack on the west side of the city, she rested her sword on her shoulder and look at Sonsaku and said,

"Wise of you to send your sister off like that. I mean she was part of the target but then…you and Shuyu here are our primary target tonight just so you know."

Sonsaku had a bold smirk on her lips as she replies back.

"I see, then good to know that Renfa-chan won't be the main target. Now you have me and Meirin here…come and get us if you can!"

A while later,

"Rargh!"

Sonken shouted out for the 100th time as she delivers another downward slash at one of the mercenary goon. Around her soldiers of Go are also making quick work of the other mercenaries. Sonken herself grimaced as she took a glance of her sword once again, the sword that once grace with beauty as well as unusual sharpness is now covered in blood of those mercenary that she just cut down. Even if she tell herself that they are enemies, that it was they who try to attack her city and people first, she couldn't help but feel her stomach twist every time the feeling of her sword cut through a flesh of another human being. It is because of this lack of resolve to face her enemy that she will never be able to compete with her sister. No, that's not it, it is not the will to kill but the will to protect those that dear to them that made her sister such a strong and wise rulers. Because of that she would do all in her powers to help and protect her sister with the little power that she has. As she steeled her resolve she dodges another slash from a bulky but slow mercenary. As she easily side step his charge, Sonken retaliate with a quick stab to his heart. The big man fall down right away with other trying to flank up on her only for the soldiers of Go to meet their charge and put them down. At this rate it will only take a few moments for Sonken to go and help her sister. Maybe her sister actually already finishes with the enemy of her side and would come and help her instead?

At the same time of Sonken's battle,

An explosion with painful scream from the other side of Go city was the answer to her unasked question. And for some reason the answer seem not to ease her worry.

At Sonsaku side in contrast to Sonken the enemy are only two, two teenage girls no older than Sonken herself. But they were also beauties in their own way. In fact one would said they are not fit to be on the battlefield at first glance. In response to these two, seemingly small threat are 1000 soldiers from Go that come to protect their queen and strategist. An aggressive response to a seemingly small problem, yet the scene that occurred in front of an astonished Sonsaku and Shuuyu right now defies all that expectation.

Among 1000 soldiers, 50 of them came up first to charge at the two girls thinking that is enough to bring them down after they outright laugh at the soldiers command to surrender. Instead the result was different as those 50 soldiers are now lies dead in the ground right after 2 minutes of engaging the girls. The way the two of them work together in sync to a level that even Shuuyu have to admit is seemingly perfect; it is as if they are two bodies with a single mind. Their movements mix together like shark swimming in the sea as they easily kill off the 50 men come at them, with a sword for each girls as they easily cut down all the soldiers that come at them.

Both Sonsaku and Shuuyu instantly recognize the sword they are holding though, Kanshou and Byakuya. The pair of swords in legend crafted using the life of the faithful husband and wife; their love for each other and their hatred for the king who indirectly caused their death were crafted to the sword.

"Beautiful isn't?"

Said Mikazuki as she admired her sword, but her beautiful face is now splattered with the blood of the soldiers she kills.

"The pair of swords that represent love and hatred at the same time. Love between two people and hatred to the one who had caused their death. Legend said that these swords were actually used by unnamed an swordsmen to kill the same king of Wu that forced the blacksmith to make the sword in the first place. How about it? Since you are the queen of Go isn't fitting for these pair of swords to impale your heart?"

She asked with blood lust radiated from her with a feral grin on her expression while in contrast her sister still has a blank expression.

In response to the challenge the soldiers seem to be ready to rush in once more but a raised hand from Sonsaku stopped them in their track, her own face has a confident small smile as she keep her gaze calmly at Mikazuki while Shuuyu still keep her gaze on Shirayuki.

"That is an interesting proposal, to have such a beautiful sword claim my life is not a bad way to die after all."

Said Sonsaku calmly with her confident smile never wavering.

"But too bad I still have lots of things I need to do in my life so I will respectfully decline that offer, instead I will use all my skills to defeat you!"

She declared boldly as she point her sword at Mikazuki whose grin just grew larger as she heard her challenge being answered at the same time feeling the battle aura come from the Queen of Go, it seem she had made a right choice of choosing her target.

"That's a fine spirit! Let's not waste any more words then!"

She said as Mikazuki sprint toward Sonsaku, closing their distance instantly with her sword raise high then swinging it down.

The sound of steel meet steel vibrated throughout the area as Sonsaku reinforce her body with her Ki but still find herself struggling against Mikazuki's strength.

"It's done yet!"

She said loudly as Mikazuki swing her sword with a speed that the soldiers can't seem to catch up but Sonsaku was able to fend off the attack. The soldiers would have charge in and intervene with the fight but a signal from Shuuyu stopped them in their track as she understand the act of sending more soldiers in would only add in the body count needlessly. Instead she would use Sonsaku as a way to find Mikazuki's opening, some might find the idea outrageous for a strategist but this is precisely why Shuuyu is Sonsaku's strategist that she understand her queen strength more than anyone. And right now the only one who can compete with Mikazuki.

'And beside...the other sister gaze never leave the soldiers."'

She thought to herself as Shuuyu didn't even need to look to know right now the more quieter sibling is having the same gaze like her, a gaze of a hawk watching its prey only instead of directing it at Sonsaku it was being aimed at them and because of the aura radiated from her, Shuuyu once more confirm the act of sending more soldiers in is equal of sending them to their funeral at least for now that is. The crucial key here is Shuuyu with her sharp mind being able to see through Mikazuki's technique and wait for the right moment to strike, if their opponent is using perfect teamwork then she and Sonsaku will counterattack with perfect teamwork between themselves.

'Although her queen is fighting against Aneu, she can still calmly observe the fight to look for Mikazuki's weaknesss despite both of them knowing of Aneu's strength. So it is not a miscalculation of the strategist but because of their faith in each other abilities, huh? It seem the queen and the strategist of Go really live up to their name.'

Thought Shirayuki as she still keep her eyes on Shuuyu, in some way; she actually feel kind of melancholic since the four of them seem to have a similar way of fighting and they are not exactly bad. Both Sonsaku and Shuyu were certainly on a higher list of respected people in her opinion compare to those garbage that call themselves the empire's official. But in the end it is unfortunate that both the Queen and Strategist of Go will die tonight.

As Sonsaku once more intercept Mikazuki's relentless strike, she quickly side stepped and aim for a slash right at the back of the assassin's neck, but as the blade were mere inches from cutting through her neck Mikazuki duck down while expertly aiming for a leg sweep. Sonsaku jump up and stab her sword down at Mikazuki's throat but again her opponents intercept it by also stabbing her sword upward as the two tips of the swords clash against each other, as Sonsaku was a bit distracted by this Mikazuki swing her leg for a kick at her face but Sonsaku manage to block it with her elbow. However, Mikazuki anticipated that and thus with her other leg landed a square hit right at Sonsaku's stomach pushing her back as she gagged for air. Seeing an opportunity present itself, the assassin quickly get up and jump up to the air, as she rotate herself in the air to bring more force for a downward hit right at Sonsaku.

As Sonsaku can only grit her teeth and meet the charge heads on with her sword raise high to block the heavy slash. The force of Mikazuki's slash along with her Chi was strong enough to create hair line fracture on the ground where Sonsaku stood but she also concentrate her Chi to her weapon to hold the force of the hit back. After Sonsaku felt the hit had finally releases all its force, she use this chance to deliver a palm strike at Mikazuki's heart who manage to raise one of her knee up to block the hit but the force behind the palm strike was enough to send her flyiing back while she still airborne. As Mikazuki's feet touch the ground, she actually falter for a few step as she feel her leg give out.

"Hm...the strike of the Chi temporarily paralyzes my nerve on my right leg, eh? Interesting."

Mikazuki thought to herself as her expression instead of worries is actually containing an exciting grin since it not everyday someone manage to touch her let alone wound her after all, except their leader of course.

'That strike! Now is my chance!'

Thought Shuuyu as without warning she also take out her weapon and dash toward Mikazuki, aiming for a strike right at her leg that blocked Sonsaku's hit. Seeing this the assassin didn't even bother to response as another presence intercepted Shuuyu's strike with the side of her own sword, Shirayuki's eyes for once seem to has emotion as she glare at Shuuyu who return it with a calm gaze.

"Don't use that look at me, this is not exactly a fair fight now is it not? You are an assassin and our queen is your target so it is reasonable that we should fight with all we have."

Said Shuuyu coldly as she quickly shift her stance and aim for a side kick at Shirayuki's cheek, but the girl raise up her own leg to intercept it at the same time swinging her sword up which in turn misdirected Shuuyu's weapon, she then swing her sword down to at Shuuyu's head but the strategist side stepped to the right and in turn aimed for a downward slash at both of Shirayuki's forearm aiming to disable the girl completely.

As the sound of steel meet steel instead of steel cut through flesh rang out the soldiers couldn't help but bulge their eyes out as in the last minute Shirayuki used the hilt of her sword to block the strike, she then use the chance to slam her fist at Shuuyu's guts which in turn was intercepted by Shuuyu's palm. The two female fighters was in a dead lock as they both try to overpower each other before they simultaneously jump back to avoid the strike at their heads coming from their opponent partners. As Sonsaku try to press on, Mikazuki in turn shift her attack to the Queen to stop it but was intercepted by Shuuyu instead. Meanwhile Shirayuki unleash multiple sword strikes just like Sonsaku as they clash against each other. The four then simultaneously strike at each other with Shuuyu kick at Mikazuki's ribs who blocked it with her forearm, at the same time trying to stab at Sonsaku's heart only to be stopped by Shuuyu's sword, Sonsaku herself also aim for a punch at Shirayuki only for fist meet fist as both of them push each other back while Shuuyu and Mirayuki let go of the sword lock and jump back to their partner side.

"So how is it? They are unbelievably strong, huh?"

Asked Sonsaku as she let out some ragged breath due to how many time their Chi had to be pushed to the limit to intercept each other attack.

"Indeed. I don't think there exist more than ten people in these lands with skills that could compete to them."

Replied Shuuyu as she still feel the force behind the hit of the seemingly elegant and quiet girl, one really should never judge the book by its cover.

"How is it, sis? They are strong, aren't they?"

Asked Mikazuki as she still has the same feral grin, along with few ragged breath herself, since the beginning so it seem not just the queen but the strategist herself could match her little sister too. She hasn't felt this thrill of battle in a while. The only time she got this excited was when she fought against their leaders and he was very powerful without all that armor to back him up.

"Indeed but we can kill them."

Replied the younger sibling coldly.

"True but let's keep the fun while it still last."

Said the older sibling as she eyed the queen and strategist once more. Just as the four of them ready to battle again, Mikazuki suddenly froze as she gripped her chest and started to grunt in pain. Shirayuki for once shows emotion of concerns as she went up to the older sister side and said.

"No good. You can't keep this up any longer, Aneu. We need to finish this fast."

She said in worries. The older sister's expression seem annoyed but she quickly let out a defeated sigh. Her expression is that of regret which for some reason put Sonsaku on guard more than before.

"My apologize Queen and Strategist of Go, but it seem I can't afford to play around anymore, before I end your life I would admit this. Without using this I won't be able to kill the two of you even with my sister's skills, not without both sides heavily wounded. So be proud knowing that and go to the next world peacefully."

She said solemnly for the first time since the beginning of the battle as she takes out a strange objects. She place the object on her waist and suddenly the same object materialized on Shirayuki's waist as well.

And then without warning darkness enveloped the people from Go along with a chills that could only be described as death itself. And what follows were a dome of explosion that shoots into the sky of Go city.

As all of this was happening, Sonken along with 1000 soldiers quickly rush to where the explosion occurs which were also where the Queen of Go was. Her guts for some reason has this heavy feeling as if something bad happened to her sister and friend.

"NO! I can't have that thought! Onee-sama is the Queen of Go, plus Meirin-san is also there. It will be..."

Whatever thought she had died as she along with the soldiers made their way to the scene and what they saw can only be described as an aftermath of a massacre. The whole street was destroyed as if death itself washed over them. Flame of destruction along with debris of cracked ground everywhere, further decorating the hellish images are the corpses of all the soldiers whose bodies seem like they were blow and rip apart along with their armor and weapons, those that expression is still whole only contain absolute fear of whatever they last saw before their life was taken from them. However what really draw all the attention of Sonken is the scene further ahead, a scene she keeps telling herself is not true.

Her sister, Sonsaku, who has a large slash marks on her body, sitting while leaning on the wall of the building as she held Shuuyu's hands in hands who now lies on the ground. A hole in Shuyu's chest where the heart should be as pool of blood spread out around them.

Standing among the scene is an armored figure whose power radiated like violent wave of darkness that envelope anything that dare to touch it, Sonken look at this scene and for a moment her brain actually go blank as she doesn't known what her action should be, but it quickly focus on what the armored figure suddenly said next, the armored figure voice seem like a mix of two person.

"The Queen of Go and her strategist were an honorable fighters, despite being our target we will give you that highest praise. Out of respect for them we will let you guys have the chance to bury their body but known this, sinned people. The judgment from heaven doesn't stop here."

With that declaration a vortex of darkness engulfed the figure before it disappear without a single trace of ever exist.

The only proof of its existence is the hellish scene it left behind and the anguished scream come from Sonken.

Present Time

"Shotaro, these people they have made their choice. There's nothing much we can do for them."

Said W (Philip) while (Shotaro) was still deep in thought but the sound of multiple horses running along with a scream of a girl suddenly shook him out of it.

"IT'S YOU WHO KILLED MY SISTER!"

Surprised by the sudden development, W only turn back in time to see a sword swinging right at their neck. But they managed to dodge it time but Sonken uses that moment to send a kicked at their guts but instead of pushing them back, Sonken was the one getting push.

"For a kid, she got a strong kick!"

Said W(Shotaro) while Sonken was slightly grunting from the kicked she just did.

'That felt like kicking a wall!'

She thought to herself.

"Whatever is happening, she is not happy to see us."

Said W(Philip), pointing out the obvious.

"Duh! You think!?"

Exclaimed W(Shotaro) loudly as they ducked under a swing to the side.

"Hold still and face your crime, killer!"

Sonken shouted with frustration. She wanted to just cut down the killer of her sister and best friend but she can't do that with the armored figure dodging around like a headless chicken.

"Oi! Calm down! We're not killer! And we aren't even sure we're the guy you are looking for so stop swinging that damn sword at us! This is just getting ridiculous!"

Said W(Shotaro) loudly as they barely dodge a stab to the face. But Sonken was having none of that.

"I'll stop when you are dead before me you fiend killer!"

Just then, on instinct, W quickly move towards Sonken and tackle the girl to the ground just in time to see a sword nearly beheaded the girl in the process. Sonken saw the sword pass through them but she swear she saw it from somewhere. And then it struck her.

'That sword…it's the one those girl wielded the night Onee-sama and Meirin-san…'

As they finally landed on the ground with Sonken safely on top of W, they both look to see the sword stop mid-air and flow back to the directimon where it came from. The sword was grabbed by the hilt and was expertly spun around before resting on the shoulder of its wielder. Sonken quickly stood up as well as W to see that it was the same twin that she and her sister confronted that night.

"You…"

She said with narrowed eyes. Mikazuki who seems to have Sonken's attention wave happily and said,

"Oh I see you remember me, princess Sonken or should I say Queen Sonken now? Well, doesn't matter. We're here to take care of you since the order already came up."

Shirayuki was on the side, still reading her book, not giving a care what was happening around her. Soldiers started to surround them but they were still perfectly calm about it. Suddenly Sonken raise her sword and it was now inches from W's neck.

"H-Hey! What gives!? I thought we were cool!"

Sonken with her eyes still narrowed at the armored figure said,

"I'm not sure how I and you are cold but it does not matter. It seems your friends has arrived to finish off the rest of my family but not today. I will not fall like Onee-sama or Shuuyu-san!"

Mikazuki look at bit confuse when she said that along with W.

"Friends? We do have them but unfortunately they are not around at the moment."

Said W(Philip) to Sonken who suddenly had a questioning look. Plus, why did his voice suddenly changed?

"Yeah, I mean, sure the dude had an armor that looks like us but me and my sister don't know the dude. You know him, sis?"

Mikazuki asked with that ever present grin on her face while Shirayuki only shake her head while still focusing on her book but she then answers.

"I am sure that is one of those so-called Kamen Riders, Aneu. The one that Jino fought the other day but this one is different….No doubt he is friend with that Hino Eiji person. So, that makes him…our highest priority target next to Sonken…"

Mikazuki only nodded and her grin turned feral, revealing her one tooth fang.

"I see, I see…So this means that…We will have a challenged today. This day just got better all of a sudden."

Her blood was pumping and she can already feel the rushed. Her whole being screams that this Rider will give her and her sister a great challenge. They have been doing nothing but taking care of low life trashes ever since the death of an opponent she and in an extend Shirayuki comes to respect but now…here is an opponent they both can finally go all out on.

"Shotaro…I feel something strange about both those girls…"

Said W(Philip), suddenly alarm. This got Shotaro's attention and now Renfa as well though she still held the sword close to their neck as precaution. Though he may have save her, she still didn't trust him, and why was he speaking to himself? And who is this Shotaro?

"Yeah…I can feel it too somewhat…That blonde chick with the big bust…she feels too familiar.."

"And that quite black hair girl…she feels like…me? How is that possible?"

Suddenly Mikazuki straps the sword in her hilt and Shirayuki put down her book and they now look at their opponents.

"Heh, this may be too soon but if you are like anything leader fought…then.."

She took out a familiar looking device that surprises and shocked both Shotaro and Philip.

"A Double Driver!?/But how?"

They both question at the same time but this one look slightly different. Instead of the traditional red and silver coloring. This one was black and yellow.

"Surprised? Well, if you want answer, boys? You have to force it out of us…if you can. Ready, Yin?"

"Hai, Yang-Anue…"

Mikazuki strapped the driver on her waist and it belts form around her. The same Driver materialized on her sister's waist and they both took out what appears to be Gaia Memories. Mikazuki was holding what seems to be a purplish red Gaia Memory with an 'S' sign to it while Shirayuki was holding a white bluish Gaia Memory with an 'L' sign to it but none that Shotaro or even Philip ever seen before and plus…

LIGHTNING!

SPIRIT!

"Hen…"

Shirayuki said first with Mikazuki finishing it.

"Shin!"

They both place their respective Gaia Memories into the empty slot with Shirayuki inserting hers first before Mikazuki did the same.

LIGHTNING! SPIRIT!

A vortex of lightning and purple red energy enveloped Shirayuki and Mikazuki. Sonken and some of the soldier had to stab their sword to the ground to prevent themselve from getting blown away by the powerful force while W stood there waiting for what is about to happen. When the gust have finally settle, instead of the twin, we now see an armored warrior who was in armor nearly identical W but instead the colors design was white bluish on the right side while it was purple red on the left side. The antenna instead of a 'W' was 'Y'. The now armored warrior flicks her nose and said as she points her fingers at them.

"Let the carnage begin..."

The sound of Mikazuki and Shirayuki was heard.

Flash Back

Sonken stood there shell shocked as she saw the downed form of her sister and her strategist, the two of them lying in a pool of bloods with slashes and hole respectively on their chest. Standing over their downed form is an armored figure holding in his/her hands a human heart still fresh with vivid red blood dripping. The figure appearance hidden by the night and the strong winds that rushed at her eyes but even then she can make out the outline of said figure.

Flash Back End

"You may call us Yomi in this form."

Yomi (Mikazuki) voice can be heard.

"It's you."

There's no mistaking it, this feeling...this dread. Unlike with W where the resemblance in form make her mistaken them, but now with said figure standing in front of her one more time she can tell they are none other than the one who killed her sister along with her sister's lover. The pressure and blood lust she feel is more than enough to be a reminder, it was etch in her mind and when she saw W her rage clouded her judgment but now as she look at them she feel foolish for even mistaking them for anyone else.

For W he stood there in silent as he look at the figure in front of him. Their overall design were like that when W uses their Fang/Joker but instead of the usual white and black, it was bluish white on the right side and purplish red on the left side. The antenna itself, instead of the 'W' it was 'Y'. After a while all he could said was...

"Great we have another knock-off."

W (Shotaro) complained with clear annoyance in his tone.

"Huh? That's your reaction to our awesome form?"

The voice of Mikazuki can be heard as light flash on the left eye of the armored figure.

"That's quite rude isn't?"

She asked with a grin under her head helmet before...

BAM!

"Eh?"

Sonken muttered dumbfounded as she look at W's back suddenly appearing in front of her view all the while she felt and can clearly see the pressure of winds rush from both of her side. If W did not stood in front of her during that surprised attacked, she probably would have been blown back.

"No...it would have been worse than that."

She muttered with wide eye as she look in front of W.

"Ara...You intercepted it, kind of expected though."

Yomi (Mikazuki) said happily as her right fist clash against W all the while lightning and winds coming from both of them respectively clashing against each other.

"Oi, you haven't answered me yet...Do all of you enjoy copying us or something?"

W (Shotaro) press on as Yomi (Mikazuki) let out a childish sound.

"Mou...This isn't a knock off! We didn't decide on the form okay!? Beside our color schemes are much better!"

She yelled out childishly but her right feet already swing up at W's face who raise his left arm up to block it.

In an instant, Yomi lift up her other foot for an upward chin kick but W own feet lash out and slammed on that foot's knee. Yomi let the foot kicking at W's left arm down instantly while also positioning her left foot back down. She then with her other hand swing a punch at W who counter with his left arm again all the while not letting Yomi other fist go. The two of them traded blow with one hand but with a speed that Sonken barely caught on, their movement were all precise as they always manage to block, counter each other attacks. Yomi seems to aim for dangerous spot like throat, head, chest while W swipe, blocked and would sometimes throw his own punches which again was countered by Yomi. During the course of their fist fight, W also press forward making both of them move away from Sonken, as the same time Yomi swing her left feet up at W's crotch and once again he try to counter it by lashing out his own left feet.

But that was a feint move as Yomi stopped her feet in time and then moved it behind the heel of W's left feet, as she pivoted on her right heel remaining on the ground she pushed W's feet wide forward making him stagger in his stance at the same time because of this his chest was moved forward meeting her right elbow head on. The resounding smack sound armor smack against armor can be heard as spark also shot out from W's armor along with a mixed grunt from him but instead of falling back he keep on leaning forward much to Yomi's surprise before he let go of her hand and then proceed to do a hand stand then swing both his feet in 360 with torrent of emerald wind surrounding him. Yomi instantly brought her arm in a cross to block it while jumping back but the force of the wind shaped like a blade slammed against her multiple time sending her flying back.

"Man those girls have quite a move."

Commented W (Shotaro) as he grunted a bit as he feel a slight sting from his chest before it disappear.

"Indeed...though it also been a while since I got to use that move, still as thrilling as I remember."

W (Philip) said with amusement.

"Can't believe you of all people learned how to break-dance."

W (Shotaro) commented blankly while he latch out his arm to catch Sonken's wrist just as she pass by him.

"And where do you think you're going?"

He asked with a tired tone as Sonken try to yank her hand off him but to no avail.

"Let go! Do you know who those two are!? They are the one who killed my families!"

She yelled out in anger as W narrowed their eyes.

"I see...with their power it is reasonable they managed to do that to this country's queen and its strategist."

W (Philip) thought while W (Shotaro) the one who speak out.

"If you know that then you know how terrifying they are, stay back or you will get hurt."

He advised her but she gritted her teeth angrily at him.

"Shut up! Do you know how I feel!? To see my closed one die in front of me like that!? My sister was better than me! She was a great ruler to this land more than I could ever hope to be! And then our strategist the one who watched over our Kingdom since my sister took over the throne, they were the pillar of this land.. but most importantly my love ones! Now their murderers are in front of me what do you expect me to do!?"

She vented out as W said nothing, finally as they saw her breathing heavily after finishing her words W (Shotaro) spoke up.

"It probably didn't matter if I said I do to you, because right now all you can feel is the frustration, the sadness and anger that make you only focus on one thing...so for that...hit me."

He simply said much to her surprise.

"Wh...What are you saying?"

"Strike me down with all your might. You mistook me for the murderers of your sister, right? Given how similar we look it is a given. So come on, give me a solid hit that contain all your hatred. Don't you want to avenge your love ones?"

W (Shotaro) urged as the other halves said nothing.

"No...no...you are not her..."

"But right now you can't kill her. You know that, look at your own hand."

He pointed at her shaky hand.

"So right now you have me here, I told you just focus on me and then the image of the one who killed your love one. Do it now, take down the one who take the one you love away. Put all your strength in one stri..."

"G...Guh...ARGH!"

She scream out in confusion and bewilderment along with various mixed emotions before she swung down with closed eyes.

CLANG!

As the resounding sound of her sword impact against the armor rang out along with the feeling of the hit. She slowly open her eyes to see that her sword aim straight at W's left side of the neck and a small trail of smoke can be seen as his head tilted to the right due to the force of her hit.

"Damn...that's a nice hit...and the sword freaking sharp way beyond normal."

W (Shotaro) commented with a slight wince as Sonken drop down on her knee.

"Sigh...how about it? Getting to hit someone who resemble them make you feel better?"

He asked as droplet of tear fall from Sonken's eyes.

"Onee-sama...Onee-sama..."

She cried out as W kneel down one one knee and look at her in the eyes.

"You asked me...what do I know...don't know how much is what you feeling but honestly? I can never get over it. The death of someone close to you, worse yet knew you were the cause of his death. I can't ever face him, that's what I feel. But...after a while I can only do one thing. Since they are already dead, as the one who live I have one important duty for them."

He said as Sonken lift her face up and look at him in bewilderment.

"To keep their memory alive. That's all I can do. Sonken, you are the ruler of this land right? This land is beautiful, it looks peaceful and everyone seems happy. That's what your sister fought for, so now turn back and look behind you."

He said and for some reason Sonken find herself do just that and she can see it, behind her is line of soldiers who haven't left from the beginning till now despite Yomi's appearance.

"Everyone..."

Sonken choke out in tear, the soldiers have stood behind without budging as they nodded to Sonken.

"Your soldiers have been ready this whole time to defend you, they were even ready to move in when I grabbed your wrist just now. They aren't blind, they see what me and those sisters can do yet they stayed behind for you."

W (Shotaro) spoke up once again brought Sonken's attention to him.

"Remember, what you can do for the dead as the living is protect their memory. Take down the one who did this to your sister is important."

He said as his mind remember a certain man who was antagonize against him at first but now become his closest comrade as fellow Rider that fought for Fuuto.

"But don't let that be the sole purpose of your life, would your sister who fought so hard for her people, who love you would want you do that to yourself in her name? Sonken, don't let your action sadden the memory of your sister."

He said with finality in his tone as he stood up and turn his back to her.

"Take care of your queen, I will be right back."

With that the soldiers move forward, some of them offer a grateful nod to W who merely nod back before sprint toward where Yomi is waiting. But before that...

"Oi, Sonken!"

He called out gaining the girl's attention as the same time he rolled his neck.

"That hit I took from you, contain all your emotions. In your place I will be sure to deliver it to those twin."

He said as he continue to move forward but her voice stop him.

"Wait! Wh...What is your name?"

She asked hesitantly.

"Shotaro, Hidari Shotaro. And he is my partner Philip."

Said as he jerk his right hand thumb at his right side.

"But in this form? Kamen Rider Double."

He answered before resume to sprint toward where Yomi is.

"As usual, too half-boiled."

W (Philip) chided with an amused smile in their mental link while W (Shotaro) shrug his shoulder mentally.

"Would you want it any other way?"

"Good point, well with that matter temporarily taken care of let us focus on our main one."

About few yards away he spotted where Yomi was, W skidded to a halt while his counterpart seems to be taking it easy with the way she is sitting in lotus position on the ground.

"That was some interesting thing you said and do back there, big bro."

Yami (Mikazuki) praised with her giddy tone while W just tilted his head.

"For you to patiently wait for us, how noble for an assassin."

W (Philip) said evenly while this time is Yomi who tilted her head.

"Noble? Ah...yeah that's right, I didn't want my target to die without a knot in their hearts if I can. Aren't I impressive?"

Yomi (Mikazuki) said rather lamely confusing W.

"Correction, she didn't want anyone to intrude her fun time, also if you were distracted because of Sonken it would be no fun. Hence the waiting."

Yomi (Shirayuki) chime in with a blank tone while W can only give them a dry look.

"Ah...Yin there you go ruining my awesome image in my enemies mind."

Yomi (Mikazuki) complained.

"Though..."

BOOM!

With a flick of her wrist a ray of lightning shot out from her hand straight forward W who swipe his right arm, covered in wind, at it deflect the bolt aside.

"Now there is nothing on your mind anymore, right? I'm on a tight schedule so give me a show worth the time I wasted!"

Yomi (Mikazuki) shout out in pure excitement as W said nothing and once more their fist covered in their own elements collided.

The ground cracked where they stood, as wind and static shocked collided around them. As Yomi aim for a right handed palm strike at W's face, he tilted his face to the left to avoid it while closing the distance and send a right knee strike at her. She quickly sidestepped to the left, her left hand also go for an open palmed finger strike at W's right side but he grabbed the wrist with his right hand, but with a swift movement of that same left hand Yomi caught W's right wrist in return and then pulled it behind his back effectively putting him in a lock. She then use her other hand to go for a neck choke. W throw his head back, the hit connected to Yomi but she didn't let go, if anything her lock tightened. As W grunted, he struggle but Yomi keep her hold firm.

"Guh...damn this girls are strong."

W (Shotaro) mentally complained.

"If this go one we will be finished, that would be quite unsightly Shotaro."

And despite the situation W (Philip) ever calm tone is present.

"That's all you got to said!? Ah...wait..."

W (Shotaro) thought before he feel jolt of pain interrupted his thought.

"Heh...with this it is finished already? Quite disappointed here, big bro."

Yomi (Mikazuki) commented as she release jolt of electricity from her body further damaging W as spark shot out from his armor fiercely.

"Tch...if that's the case..."

W (Shotaro) grunt out before his left fist cover in purple aura.

"Useless with your view blocked I could avoid your hi...Guh!?"

Yomi (Mikazuki) was interrupted as she feel her chest receive a sharpened pain she didn't expect, right after W leaned his back further to make it touch her chest, making her grip on his neck and wrist loosen. Using this chance W broke her hold, spin around with a left kick aim at her face.

BAM!

The hit connected perfectly further disorienting her vision. She then feel a consecutive of fist strike, palm strike hit her abdomen finally end with a kick at her gut launching her back as her feet skid to the ground to halt the force. She finally skid to a stop but have to drop to one of her knee and panted heavily from all the hit. Meanwhile W isn't all that better as smoke raise from his body all the while his chest has a charred spot.

"You...You hit your own chest, in turn send the force to my chest? That was one hell of a crazy move I didn't expect from you, big bro..."

Yomi (Mikazuki) grunted out between breath before she grinned wildly.

"But that's what make it so fun!"

"Damn quite a battle maniac too."

W (Shotaro) said as he also panting heavily.

"Philip! We need a change!"

He declared before in a swift motion switched his Cyclone Memory with Heat. Seeing this Yami also make a movement.

"Hoh...so that's his game? Right on time, Yin we need to do it too."

Yomi (Mikazuki) call out.

"Are you sure you can still get going, Anue?"

Yomi (Shikazuki) asked in worry, the only time she showed any emotion.

"You need to ask?"

"Very well."

With that in a swift movement Yomi also make a switch for her Lightning Memory with another Memory. This Memory was darker blue with the 'F' symbol on it. Then in a simultaneous instance both W and Yami tapped their Memory and inserted it to their Drivers.

HEAT! HEAT-JOKER!

FROST! FROST-SPIRIT!

Energy orb once again surrounded W and Yomi. This time from W side there an intense heat wave clashed against the frosty air unleashed by Yomi. As the two of their transformation finish W is in his Hot Skilled Warrior, Yomi form of course changed too as she now in her Frozen Gale Fighter.

"Interesting they also have different Memory to adapt to different situation like us."

W (Philip) said as W with a flick of his right wrist engulfed his fist in flame.

"Then let see will our flame melt them or will their cold snuff us out!"

W (Shotaro) exclaimed heatedly as he kicked the ground and charge at Yomi with his flaming fist pulled back.

"That's the spirit, big bro! But sadly in the end that candle flame can't stop our snowstorm!"

Yomi (Mikazuki) countered as with a swing of her right arm a gust of ice pushed W halting him in his charge.

"Let me show you how hot this candle can burn then!"

W (Shotaro) shout out confidently as with a hand chop from his right arm, a fire slash cut through the gust itself and rush at Yomi who in return raise her right arm up and block it. Steam released in a wave when the heat slash impact her ice cold arm momentarily blocking W's vision.

Tearing through the steam right in front of his face is an ice coated right fist punch from Yomi which W countered with his own punch. The elements clash resume this time between fire and ice. But at the same time, the physical strength of W increased make him overpowered Yomi as he uppercut her with his Joker's arm, Yomi then backpedaled to avoid the punch while lifting her feet up to kick W in the chin. But this time with his Heat's arm he grabbed her foot and with a battle cry he turn around then swing her body by her foot to the ground. An explosion can be heard as dust and debris formed while Yomi like a rag doll bounced up from the impact only to be slammed right back down by a burning fist from W to her guts. One can hear the gagging sound from her along with a sound of liquid spit out from her mouth, probably her saliva or blood.

"Damn it. Hitting a girl really give a bad taste to my mouth."

W (Shotaro) complained as he stood tall a flicked his Heat's wrist. But his mistake come from halting his attack.

"Oi...oi...don't be such an amateur, big bro."

Yomi (Mikazuki) said from where she lay as her right hand grabbed W's left ankle. Instantly block of ice formed locked his Joker side.

"D...Damn it!"

W (Shotaro) cursed as he feel his body unable to move, this give Yomi enough time to do a leg sweep making W fall down, she didn't waste any chance to pounce on him then unleash punch after punch at his face. The smacking sound can be heard clearly as W let out mixed grunt of pain from both of its users, all the while his eye lens are cracked with his horn also chipped from the assault. The ice also start to spread over all of W's body.

"Honestly...This is what happen when Shotaro let his half-boiled expose for too long...Kuh...may I ask you to get off!?"

W (Philip) in a rare moment of raising his voice with the Heat's half ignited in flame released burst of flame that free them from the ice also impacted against Yomi who crossed her arms in time but still get send flying and crashed in front of them. With a few grunt Yomi was already back on her feet and patted the dust off her chest.

"Man, that was awesome! I love the man who can play rough!"

Yomi (Mikazuki) shouted out in excitement.

"There you go with your innuendo again, Anue."

Yami (Shikazuki) commented blankly in return.

"Dang it...that sure hurt, and my bad Philip."

W (Shotaro) apologized as his partner sighed.

"Just because she gave you chance to talk with Sonken doesn't change the fact she is an enemy. I hope this serve enough as a wake up call."

W (Philip) said as his partner in return mentally nodded.

"Well...that was fun. It seems fist fight with you are not the best choice right now, how about we spike things up then!?"

Yomi (Mikazuki) exclaimed as she outstretched her palm while multiple ice shards formed around her and shot at W with speed easily surpass bullet.

"Seriously? That was horrible."

W (Shotaro) said with a twitched eyebrow as with a swipe of his Heat's arm a wall of flame formed and intercept few of the lance while he punched few other away.

"It is about as horrible as your attempt of hard-boiled."

W (Philip) said while ignoring the indignant cry from his partner. As W formed a fired ball on his Heat's fist he then launch it at Yomi melting all the shards hit at at. Yomi leap to the side to dodge it but then W notice how behind her there is a women try to get her child away.

"Crap!"

W (Shotaro) exclaimed as he leap forward to intercept the fireball but he didn't need to.

"Look out!"

Yomi (Mikazuki) shout out as she suddenly leap back to the path of the fireball and take the hit directly. A big explosion engulfed her sending her flying back and stopped near the panicked women. Yomi grunted before she finally manage to be in a knell position.

"You good?"

Yomi(Mikazuki) asked as she look at the women who in return glared at her despite her fear.

"Mu...Murderer! You did this to us! You killed Sonsaku-sama!"

She yell out before she scope up her child and run while Yomi merely let out a relieved sigh. She then turn to W only to see him walk forward her and outstretched his palm.

"Oi...the Hell? I told you don't underestimate me."

She said as she swipe his hand away but he instead catch it and pull her up.

"This isn't underestimating you. You killed their former ruler, you are still a murderer...but you also saved the mother and her kid. That also something I won't deny, it is as simple as that."

W (Shotaro) said earnestly making Yomi rubbed the back of her head awkwardly.

"The Hell is wrong with you? It ruined the mood...Urk!"

Yomi(Mikazuki) suddenly grunted making W (Shotaro) can't help but concern.

"Oi...did that hit damaged you too much?"

W (Shotaro) asked as Yomi(Mikazuki) just snorted.

"Stop with that disgusting tone. This isn't your fault so don't go all guilt trip on me. This is my own problem."

Grunted Yomi(Mikazuki) as she touch her chest in pain.

"Aneu, we need to retreat. With your condition, we can't continue to fight this Kamen Rider."

Said the voice of Shirayuki with how alarm her voice is, Mikazuki's condition must be serious enough that they need to retreat.

Mikazuki clicked her tongue in annoyance as Yomi suddenly jump up towards the rooftop, surprising W. She turn around to leave but not before giving a sideways glance over her shoulder and said.

"Consider this your win, big bro. Sonken's gets to live another day but mark my word...she won't be so lucky."

Yomi(Mikazuki) said with a serious tone to her warning. And with that she jump high into the sky and was out of sight.

"Philip...?"

"Yes, Shotaro?"

After a short pause, Shotaro sigh and said,

"Putting how weird this day got, we still don't know how those twin got their hand on a Driver. All of this seems to lead to our possible suspect."

Philip only nodded mentally as they still gaze at the spot where Yomi was last spotted. W turn around but not before Shotaro muttered.

"It will only a matter of time before this all sets in...and I have a feeling the fate of this world depends on us being here..."
