A/N: I'm going to be honest, I'm not to happy with this chapter, but I tried my best and hope you guys still enjoy it. I really do apologize for making you guys wait for so long, and I do appreciate your patiences, favorites, follows, and reviews. Hope you enjoy.

They were close, Aaron knew they were close, and that was probably made things even more frustrating. He felt like that donkey that had a carrot dangled in its face, and no matter how much he walked; he couldn't reach it. Aaron wanted to yell but settled for trying to burn a hole into the board holding all of the information except for the name of the actual unsub.

How could a coward be this elusive? Hotch remembered Derek's comment on how this punk was so use to running and hiding that he somehow managed to find a way to hide from trained behavioral analysts. Right there, Hotch called bullshit in his mind. No matter how far rats ran, they always got snuffed out, and Hotch was going to snuff this one out.

"He's been inactive," Gideon said, standing next to him, "There should have a been another victim by now."

Aaron pressed his lips together in the thought of that, thinking of the press release JJ had of the profile, "He probably knows we're closing in on him, and is trying to lay low."

"He's seeking out attention. He'll come out of hiding if he feels as though he's not in the spotlight."

Aaron grunted his reponse, his mind reeling with the new information. Cowardly or not, there was going to be another murder the minute the media's focus shifted away, which would happen soon. No new material or leads would leave the press with nothing to work with, and they would move on to the next big story until then. It was cruel and sad when Aaron thought about it.

"Are you saying we should provoke him?" Aaron asked, turning to Gideon with a raised eyebrow.

"I have Reid working with Garcia to go over local papers to see who could be targetted," Gideon answered.

"If and when the media's attention does wane, he's going to go after the biggest fish."

"Exactly."

Aaron pinched the bridge of his nose and breathed slowly to try and stave off the familiar pain that was associated with another migraine - he was actually getting use to expecting them now. They were seriously discussing poking the sleeping bear and putting more people in danger. Take it the bear wasn't exactly ferocious, but Aaron still wasn't taking chances.

"Someone has to recognize the unsub from the profile," he said hopefully.

Gideon didn't say anything for a few moments, his face looking as though he was trying to will that very suggestion into existance. Aaron had learned a long time ago that sometimes thing never went the way you wanted. It sucked and the aftermath that came usually sucked even more. Hoping his mom would take him and his brothers with her was a prime example.

There were also times hope had got him through everything, and maybe Spencer and Sean as well. He was sure that he wasn't the only one looking forward to his eighteenth birthday.

"We're giving this time," Aaron said in a tone that showed he was pulling rank over Gideon, "If no one comes forth by this evening, then we'll try to bring him out of hiding. Until then, I'm not putting people in the line of fire without them even knowing."

Aaron turned on his heels and walked with the intention of leaving the room. Screw yelling, he wanted to punch something, but he'd settle for coffee. Refilling his mug, somewhere in Aaron's mind it clicked that he just pulled rank on Gideon. Not directly, but still, Aaron never felt he had to do that since his earlier days of working with the man.

"Great," he mumbled and took several large gulps of the drink that tasted more off than usual. This bastard was really digging his claws under his skin.

By the time the afternoon rolled around, the lead detective on the case had made it very clear that he wasn't happy with how the case was progressing. Aaron considered it a small blessing that the man wasn't one of those detectives who turn the volume up to show that anger because Aaron didn't think he could hold back if the man did, even if the man's frustrations were understandable.

Gideon had managed to dispell the incident, displaying the usual level of calm that Aaron sometimes wondered if it was possible in a situation like this. The detective still didn't look pleased and wasn't afraid to show it in the glare he tossed at Aaron before storming away, saying he had a few phone calls to make.

"He's got a point," Emily finally spoke up when an awkward silence stretched across the room, "We're out of leads, and all we're doing is just waiting until someone recognizes the unsub from the profile."

Aaron inwardly flinched.

"Garcia and I managed to compile a list of possible victims," Spencer spoke, "Not as long as we thought."

"Divide it, interview them and see if any of them felt as though they were bing followed. Hiding or not, he most likely had another victim in his sights before we got too close."

Spencer informed the team of those who would have a hard time coming to the station, so Aaron took him to interview those at their own homes. It wasn't the first time Aaron and Spencer partnered together in stiuations like these, so there was no worry of suspicion.

"Boys' night out?" Aaron suggested while on the drive to a lady named Wanda Cross.

"What?" Spencer said, eyebrow raised.

"Boys' night out when this is done," Aaron said, "You, me, Sean, and Jack having a day to ourselves."

"What for?"

"Have we ever had reasons to just spend time together before?" Aaron said, smiling in a way that brought him some relief after everything, "But if you need one, I thought with everything that happened, and the progress you made; we could maybe celebrate. Also wouldn't help to introduce Jack to our traditions."

"Do you know how you sound right now, Aaron?" Spencer smiled himself.

"Yes, now that I actually think about it. But does that sound good to you or not?"
"Sounds great, as long as Indian food is involved somewhere."

"You and your Indian food," Aaron snorted, glad for the sense of normalcy.

"Who's fault is that? If it wasn't for Sean, we'd would have grown up on take-out."

"Hey, I could cook, just not at his level."

"Add on to how busy you were with your classes."

"Yeah, yeah, I get it, I'm your reason for your take-out addiction."

The two laughed, and again, Aaron was grateful. Professionalism was put back in place when they reached their destination. Aaroon took in a deep breath, hoping this was going to lead to a break. He swore his usual sense of calm and collectedness was going to fly out the window if this lead to nothing.

A/N: Not as long I wanted this to be, and I also felt as though it would be good to be some humor into something that had been drama heavy for the last few chapters. Still didn't turn out how I wanted, but please let me know what you think.
