Elizabeth Parker and Max Evans used to date and were very happy together. That changed when Liz broke up with Max to save the world so that Tess wouldn't leave Roswell to go back to Antar. With that, she attended a girl's academy as she couldn't bear being in the same town as Max and Tess. Liz is back home a few years later and she realizes things are different, especially Max. When she sees the tattoos on his arms, she realized that her leaving damaged him. What happens when she finds out that this guy is Zan and not Max?

Author's Note: So, in the show, all we heard about is that Serena was going to be a close friend of Liz. We never knew what she looked like or anything, so I decided to finally bring my version of what she would even be like. I hope you guys enjoy the chapter and don't forget to leave a review! Thanks!

5. You make the kisses so sweet.

I was still blushing from the other day when Zan saw the soft swells of my breasts. The way he undid the tie of my robe and then parted the lapels, I was still a mushy mess. He had called me beautiful when I came, which I was still embarrassed about. He hadn't done much except for trail his fingers across the hard peaks of my nipples. It was intense just how much Zan could make me feel by a simple touch.

"I've never seen you like this."

I knew that voice and I turned the slightest bit at the booth I was sitting at to look at my best friend from the private girl's school. My eyes lit up at the sight of Serena. She had a nice tan going on and her dirty blonde hair was pulled up into a pony tail, the ends of her hair making little waves. Her green eyes were sparkling and I raised an eyebrow. Something was up and I wasn't sure what it was.

"Serena, what are you doing here?" I asked in surprise as I looked over at her with a beaming smile.

"Don't you miss me?" Serena asked, setting her purse down on the countertop of the table before sitting down across from me.

I laughed as I nodded my head, sliding a curly fry into the Tabasco sauce. "Yes, I've actually missed you terribly. Surprisingly, a lot has happened to me since I last saw you."

Serena grinned as she opened up the menu and then ordered a milkshake and some fries. She set the menu back in its holder and looked over at me. Serena and I had become fast friends because of what I am and what she is. Apparently, she's from Antar as well, but she wasn't from one of the royalty families. Although, she had been Isabel's personal assistant – helping her with things that Isabel couldn't or wouldn't do. She was the one that Isabel turned to for every, little thing from what Serena had told me.

If Serena hadn't been there, I wasn't sure if I'd be able to hide my special gifts from the human population at the school. It had been a mess the more I thought about my first few months at the school.

"Are you going to tell me or am I going to have to guess?"

I grinned as I looked over at her. "Well, apparently, my ex boyfriend has a dupe."

Serena's eyes widened. "Shut the front door! Are you serious?"

"Oh yeah and he's like really hot. I can't even pretend to have a crush on Max because Zan… well, he does it for me, Zan."

"His name is Zan… like the Zan from Antar?"

I nodded my head as I looked at her. "Yeah and the thing is, he looks way older than Max by like five or ten years. I think that he looks extraordinarily hot, though. I can't look away from him and he can't stop touching me, Serena, which I don't mind."

Serena raised an eyebrow as she looked at me. The waitress came over to our table, setting Serena's milkshake and fries in front of her, and then scampered off. "What do you mean by touching you?"

I then grinned as I explained to her what had happened in my bedroom the other day.

"Holy fuck, he made you come just by barely touching you?" Serena gasped out, pouring some Tabasco sauce over her curly fries. "What in the world is he, Liz? Is he a sex God or something?"

I laughed as I shook my head. "Well… apparently, Zan was my husband on Antar."

Serena frowned as she crossed her arms over her chest. "I don't even remember that part."

"Yeah, no one does, but Zan and I get these flashes –"

Serena looked over at me. "You get flashes like you used to get with Max?"

I shook my head after I swallowed the piece of burger I had taken a bite of. I cleared my throat as I grinned from ear to ear. "In a way, yes, but it's so much stronger, Serena. What we have together is something that only happens in fairy tales and we're both so curious as to what could even happen. There was one flash where I was pregnant and Zan and me were being… intimate together, Serena."

"Well, it's about time. Have you two done the deed yet?" Serena asked as she took a sip of her milkshake.

"Rena!"

"What did I say wrong?" Serena asked with a frown as she shook her head. "So, when do I get to meet this handsome devil of yours?"

"Right now."

I lifted my head to see Zan and he looked so delicious. He was wearing a pair of dark blue windbreakers, a black beater that showed off his muscles, and a pair of running shoes. Holy shit, Zan looked so damn good right now. I wanted to just run my tongue –

"Wow, you look just like him," Serena said as she looked over at him with a smirk. "I don't understand how I cannot remember the two of you being married. Are you sure that you were?"

Zan slid into the seat beside me and grinned over at Serena. "Yes, I am very positive. I think we were married in another lifetime, Serena."

"How do you know my name?"

Zan grinned as he leaned back against the booth, looking over at Serena. "I remember you very well, Serena. I mean, instead of Lonnie's assistant, you were Liz's. You two were inseparable. It was like you two were sisters because that's how close the two of you were. Oh and you were actually involved with Kivar. You were the one that mellowed him out."

My eyes widened at the news. From what I'd heard, Kivar was an evil man that wanted nothing but power.

"No, I wasn't," Serena said with a huff, rolling her eyes. "I've met him and he's so irritating."

"Wait, he's here?" Zan asked in surprise as he crossed his arms over his chest.

"Yeah, it's why I'm here, and he has some blonde bimbo with him. She's not even all that pretty, either."

"Wait, Tess is back?" I asked with a frown, shaking my head, and looked towards Zan. "You know that she's going to come after you at full force."

All Serena did was shrug her shoulders because she had no idea who Tess was. The idea of Tess with Zan, it made my stomach crawl with termites. I didn't like the idea of Zan with that conniving witch because she was nothing but evil. After all, when Max and I had been together, she didn't hold back her feelings. for him either.

"Stop it, Liz," Zan said with a groan as he grabbed my hand, turning my face towards him with his other hand.

I sighed as I looked at him. "I can't help it. We all know that since Max and Ava are together, she's going to come after you since we're technically not tied together."

"You could fake it, though."

I shook my head when I heard Serena's words. "What the hell are you talking about?"

Serena smirked. "I know a guy and he could give you two a fake marriage license. Tess would leave the two of you alone if she knew you two were actually married."

"Are you absolutely crazy?" I asked as I stared at Serena with a raised eyebrow. "We'd need wedding rings and we would have to move in together…"

"Tess wouldn't have to see inside of your place but it could work. I know you've been complaining about needing your own place, Lizzie. What about you, Zan?"

Zan looked over at her with a friendly smile. "I've been looking, actually. I mean, I have a well paying job. There would be plenty of space for the two of us, Liz."

I frowned as I looked over at Zan, who was playing with my fingers. "Zan, I don't know. We've only been on half a date."

"Half a date?" Serena inquired as she looked over at me. "What the hell is half a date?"

Zan laughed. "Half a date is when your friends end your date with their silly problems."

I looked over at him just as I heard the bell ring when someone entered the diner. As I looked over, I saw Kivar, and I was so relieved when I saw no Tess with him. Good. I was in no mood to deal with her. Then again, it was Kivar, and I wasn't sure what to say because he was a bad, bad man.

"Great, he's following me," Serena groaned as she shook her head. "Is there somewhere I can hide?"

I was about to say something when Kivar approached our table, a smirk tugging at the corners of his lips while he ran a hand through his dark hair.

"Serena, I've been searching for you."

"And I don't want to be found. Doesn't that tell you something?" Serena asked with a raised eyebrow just as he took a seat next to her. "Can't you go find somewhere else to sit?"

Kivar just grinned. "No, I like it here."

"You must be Kivar?"

Kivar looked at me and grinned. "Yes and you must be Zan's wife?"

I was shocked as I looked over at him. "Uh, maybe I am. How do you know that?"

"I remember your relationship before Tess ruined it years ago. You really don't remember your time with him or me?" Kivar asked as he looked over at me.

"No, am I supposed to remember you?" I asked as I ran a hand through my hair.

"Liz," Kivar said as he looked over at me, sliding his hands across the table towards my hands, gripping them gently in his hands. "I hate to tell you this, but you're my sister."

When I heard Kivar tell me that we're related, I was definitely surprised. As I looked between the three of them, neither Serena nor Zan looked surprised. I frowned as I pulled my hands away from Kivar's. Oh yeah, I wasn't happy that Zan hadn't told me this. Why would he keep this from me?

"Hey, what's the matter?"

Hearing Zan's words, I turned my head to look over at him. "Are you kidding?"

"I thought Ava told you," Zan told me with a sigh leaving his lips. "I guess Ava wanted Kivar to be the one to tell you, but I don't understand why."

With the dark pools of Kivar's eyes and the dark hair that we both had, I also noticed a few similarities that we both had. The small dimples or the birthmark on his wrist that matched mine really told me that we were in fact brother and sister. I knew he wasn't pulling my chain, but I still felt at a loss. I just wanted to feel at home when I opened my eyes from sleep. Was that so hard?

"I know this is really hard for you, Liz," Kivar began as he turned to look over at Serena. "Didn't you tell her anything when you two were at school?"

Serena rolled her eyes before she popped him on the side of his head. "No, I thought she should remember at her own pace instead of people telling her what happened."

This was why Serena was my best friend - she didn't take shit from anyone. The look on Kivar's face just said it all. He obviously was pissed, but he kept himself together as well. Was that such a bad thing?

"She's right, Kivar," I said as I looked at him, crossing one leg over the other. "Although, if you say you're my brother, you're going to have to stop being such a dick."

Serena snickered.

"What did you just say?"

"You heard me. I mean, I've heard really bad things about you. I'm pretty sure if you keep being evil, you're not going to be able to get Serena into bed."

"Liz Parker!" Serena gasped as her jaw dropped in complete shock. Then she simply shook her head afterwards.

Zan grinned as he took my hand in his, sliding his fingers across my knuckles. Just that single touch felt really good. I just couldn't help but wonder if the plan to fool Tess would even work. I just wasn't sure, but it never hurt to try it out.

"Are you sure this is going to work?" I asked Serena a few days later when I set the marriage license on my desk that had been framed.

It had Zan's name, Zander Alexander Royale, and my birth name, Elizabeth Marie Parker, printed on the embroidered paper that was issued by Roswell, New Mexico. Next to it was the fake license that Serena had got for me that had my 'married' name on it. Oh man, I just wasn't sure if this was going to work.

"Of course it is," Zan said as he slid a hand across my back when he moved next to me.

I rolled my eyes as Serena flashed a beautiful smile in my direction after I inhaled a deep breath. I just didn't like Tess. When I had saw her kissing Max when we had been involved, I had been so hurt. The thought of him almost ending up with her sickened me. Thank God Ava was pregnant with Max's baby. The baby was almost here; I remembered that our kind only stayed pregnant for about a month.

"But what if it doesn't?" I asked as Serena walked out of my bedroom to find Kivar and the rest of the gang.

Zan pushed me up against the middle of my desk, stepping in between my thighs. "It will work because I said so, Liz. You need to trust me, all right? I wouldn't put you in danger of that crazy bitch."

I sighed as I placed my hands against the middle of his chest. "I'm just worried. What if she finds out that this was a fake marriage? She always wanted Max. Since he's expecting a child with her dupe, she won't go for him. You, though – well, she's going to want you more than ever. I mean, she's very pretty."

Zan scoffed as he shook his head. "She's nothing compared to you, Liz. You're what I want. Even without this marriage, I'd still want to be with you."

I blushed as I looked up at him. Zan sure was something else and I felt like the luckiest girl in the entire world.
