The Third Tsuchikage

"Cast off!" Karura and Setsuna said simultaneously as their armour launches straight at Godzilla, but it wasn't going to fall for that again. Godzilla unleashes his atomic breath to destroy the pieces of their armor. Karura weaved through several hand signs as her hands are covered in wind "Wind style: Air shotgun!" she thrusts her fist forward releasing a powerful blast of air that hits Godzilla's face causing it to roar, Karura continues her assault as Setsuna gathers chakra. Karura then stops her attack so she can detach her smaller fans from her hips and throws them at Godzilla. Upon seeing the smaller fans Godzilla attempts to swat them away, but karura maneuvers the fans to dodge it's swinging arms. Wind starts gathering around the edges of the spinning fans increasing its size, the fans slashed across Godzilla's chest causing the monster to roar in pain. It tried to swat the fans again but it touched the sharp edges causing it to recail it's hands back.

"I'm ready!" Setsuna informed his comrade as he began weaving through several hand signs and descended to the ground. "Earth Style: Tectonic shift!" he declared as he slammed his palms on the ground. The earth starts to tremble as mountains erupt from the ground, Godzilla looks at the mountains and readies itself for whatever is coming. The ground continues to shake violently causing the mountains to crumble, a large fissure runs underneath Godzilla and starts getting wider.

"Karura!" Setsuna calls to his comrade.

"On it!" Karura maneuvers her fans to fly around Godzilla, she manipulates the air around them and unleashes a stream of powerful wind at Godzilla.

Godzilla roars as it's hit by the strong wind as it struggles to keep itself balanced, however it loses it's footing and plunges into the gorge, before it closes in on it.

"He did it!" an Iwagakure shinobi cheered but then the ground started shaking.

"Impossible." Setsuna said in disbelief as the closed fissure started opening up. "There's no way that it can overcome the pressure of the plates Tectonic!" Setsuna weaved through hand signs and declared. "Water style: Great cannon ball Jutsu!" his Helmet opens up just a bit to expose his mouth as he spits out a powerful stream of water from his mouth that hits Godzilla, but it fights through it as he continues to push back the Tectonic plates.

"It feels like the whole world is trembling from it's strength." Kurotsuchi commented as she struggled to stay on her feet.

Cracks began to spread from the fissure as it begins to succumb to Godzilla's strength until finally it lets out a mighty roar as the area around the fissure shattered, freeing Godzilla. The destruction continued toward the shinobi before Kitsuchi acted. "Earth Style: Moving Earth Core!" He slammed his palms on the ground and the area that the shinobi are in is elevated 30 feet, avoiding the destruction. The shinobi watched as Godzilla started walking in their direction only to suddenly fall forward, Chains made of chakra wrapped themselves around Godzilla's arms, legs, tail, neck, and spines.

"I gotcha!" Karura said as she weaved through several hand signs. "Wind style: Drilling Air Bullets!" her helmet opened to expose her mouth as she takes a deep breath before spitting out five highly compressed air balls. They exploded on contact with Godzilla's back causing it to roar in pain.

" Earth Style: Floating Ring Rock Technique!" Onoki declares as massive rock cubes float around him before launching them at Godzilla, hitting it in the face. The Iwa shinobi weaved through handsigns before slamming their palms against the ground.

"Earth Style: Earth Flow Spears!" they all declared as the earth around Godzilla formed into spikes and attempted to skewer it but shattered on contact with its tough skin.

"It's no use, it's skin is too thick!" Kurotsuchi commented as she watched Godzilla struggle against Karura's chakra chains.

"Then we better stop it from moving instead!" Kitsuchi suggested as he made the necessary hand signs for his Jutsu. "Earth Style: Bedrock Coffin!" slabs of stone emerged from the ground around Godzilla.

"Heads up, it's not over yet!" Karura warned as the stones exploded revealing a standing Godzilla that is still bound by the chakra chains.

"Don't let it advance!" Onoki ordered as his shinobi weaved through hand signs.

"Earth Style: Lithic Press!"

Thick Slabs of solid stone erupt from the ground around Godzilla, forming a cube, two of the slabs move towards each other making Godzilla realize that they mean to crush it. It roars as it raises its hand but the chakra chains pull on it's arms, preventing it from doing anything.

"Earth Style: Multiple Earth-Style Wall!" Setsuna declared, multiple walls made of earth appeared between Godzilla and the village.

Godzilla roars as the stone walls press against it, Karura struggles to keep her hold on it. But her eyes widen upon seeing his glowing spines. "Heads up, it's about to discharge its energy beam!" Karura warned but to her shock instead of a beam coming from it's mouth, Godzilla discharged a wave of energy from its spines knocking her back. Godzilla felt the chains loosen and it extended it's hands to push back against the stone walls and break them. It then unleashed his atomic breath in front of it, breaking through the wall and hitting the first layer of the stone walls, Its attack easily going through each of the stone walls and hitting the mountains surrounding the village.

"It got through to the village!" Onoki shouted in disbelief, Godzilla roared as he fired his atomic breath at the shinobi sent to stop it.

"Take cover!" Kitsuchi shouted but they were all blasted away by Godzilla's attack, It then swiped several boulders with its tail, hurdling them to the area the shinobi are. Godzilla roars as it continues its way to Iwagakure.

Emerging from the rubble is Onoki who is bleeding from his forehead." Is anybody alive?!"

"We're still here." Kurotsuchi says as she and Kitsuchi emerged from under a pile of rocks.

Onoki sighed in relief, he looked around and saw several shinobi emerge from the rubble, bruised but alive. However he noticed that not everyone is accounted for. "Start looking for more survivors."

"But what about Godzilla?" Kurotsuchi asked, but then something fast zoomed above them.

"There's your answer, I'll go on ahead to the village and see how the evacuation is going." Onoki informed them as he flew towards his village.

"Hey wait!" Kurotsuchi called out to her grandfather but he was already out of earshot.

Godzilla is getting ever closer to the village, but it roars in pain as something explodes against the back of his head. It turns around to see the chakra chains wrap around its mouth and neck, Karura pulls on her chakra gains with all her strength, bringing Godzilla crashing down on the ground. Karura gathered wind chakra to the her spear. "Wind style: Wind cutter Barrage!" She declares as she swings her spear multiple times, releasing several crescent blades of wind at Godzilla's back. Sparks flew as each of the crescent wind blades made contact with Godzilla's back, Karura focused her wind chakra at the tip of her spear, extending the blade, she flew down towards Godzilla, intent to finished it off by piercing through it's skull. But she was knocked aside by Godzilla's tail, crashing into a mountain and causing it to crumble on top of her.

Godzilla roared as it got up, it fired its atomic breath at the rubble Karura is buried in, making sure she wouldn't get back up anytime soon. It took two steps forward before ducking its head down to avoid a crescent blade slash, it turned around to see Setsuna charging his blade causing it to grow 10 times his size before swinging it down on itself, Godzilla leaned down causing the energy blade to collide with it's back spikes. " Oh No!"

Godzilla roared as it turned around with, throwing Setsuna aside before firing its atomic breath on him. With both threats taken care of Godzilla continues the rest of the way to the village.

The Villagers of Iwagakure were in a panic, and who could blame them, they were suddenly being evacuated, the earthquakes followed by loud explosions and roars coming from outside their protective mountains surrounding their village, and when one of the mountains explodes; who would be panicking right now. But just then Their Tsuchikage arrived and urged them to calm down, that everything will be okay. The citizens believed their kage and quickly followed the evacuation routes, but they heard a strange cracking noise coming from the mountain wall, they look to see it crumbling and to their horror, revealing Godzilla. The citizens screamed in terror and are once again in a panic as they tried to escape their village. The Tsuchikage tried to calm his citizens but it was no use, he looked back to Godzilla as it stepped into the village. He took a deep breath before exhaling. "Alright listen up!" his commanding voice caused them to stop. "Get yourselves out of this village as fast as you can, help out anyone who can't escape on their own. Iwagakure is strong as long as it's citizens are united, we won't let this monster wipe us out!" Everyone cheered before quickly doing as their Tsuchikage order, helping out whoever couldn't. Onoki looked towards Godzilla before flying straight at it, he placed his palm against it, Godzilla soon found itself rising into the air.

"I've got you now." Onoki grinned as he attempted to carry Godzilla away but then it's spines started glowing and it released its atomic breath on the village, destroying everything hit by the beam, including some of the evacuating citizens.

"NO!" Onoki looked on in horror as his beloved village, the village he has sworn to protect, burn. He Looked up at Godzilla with hatred. "How dare you!" He threw Godzilla far away from the village but then its spines started glowing again. Thinking it was about to attack, Inoki readied himself but to his surprise Godzilla fired his atomic breath at the ground. "Is it trying to slow its descent?' Inoki wondered, but then his eyes widened when Godzilla was actually flying back towards him. "What the devil?!"

Godzilla flew right past him and crashed into the village. "That monster!" Onoki flew back to face the monster but then his vision suddenly became blurry. "What's going on?" he felt himself getting dizzy and he landed on top of a nearby building, Immediately falling to his knees. He felt himself getting weaker. "What's happening to me?" he asked himself just before he vomited. He heard a loud roar causing him to look up and see Godzilla approaching him. Onoki tried to stand but couldn't, his energy is too low and in his current condition he doubt he could put up much of a fight. But he tried anyway. He forms a cube structure with a sphere located in the center, he extends it out as a beam, but Godzilla fires its atomic breath, easily overpowering his attack and engulfing Onoki, destroying the building he was on. Godzilla then directed his atomic breath around the village destroying what remained. He roared in Victory as he made his way through the village, crushing buildings with each step, before bursting through the other end and leaving yet another destroyed village in its wake.

Destruction was all Kurotsuchi saw as she and what remained of her team looked at what is left of their village, Fires burned in several areas of the village, the once lively village she had sworn to protect was now silent, she fell to her knees as the reality of what just happened came crashing onto her. Despite their best efforts, Godzilla easily overpowered them and laid waste to her village, it couldn't be stopped. She then saw light particles falling around her, Kurotsuchi looked up to see Karura floating on top of the village, her body glowing and releasing particles all over the village, cleansing it from Godzilla's chakra. She then felt a hand on her shoulder and she looked up to see Setsuna.

"There might still be people left in the village, trapped under all this debri." Setsuna informed her.

"Do you honestly believe anyone could be alive under all that?" An Iwagakure shinobi asked visibly shaken.

"They won't be for long if we keep standing here, let's go!" Setsuna urged them as he flew into the village, creating several shadow clones as they scattered all over the village to search for survivors.

Kurotsuchi stood up with a determined look. "You heard him!" she and the rest of the team stormed into the village, searching for survivors. But as she searched a thought occurred to her. "Where's grandpa?"

Back with the Shinobi alliance, everyone is busy working, they finished setting up the communications systems as well as video monitors, the intelligence division are busy going over all the information they acquired from Godzilla in hopes of finding its weakness, however with so little information on it the task proved challenging.

Shikaku sighed as he placed down a piece of paper. "So troublesome." he muttered.

"There's not a lot that can help us know what that monster is." A shinobi said out loud.

"How can something like that remain hidden all this time with no record of its existence?" Another shinobi asked aloud.

"Don't forget that we've never heard of the Juubi until Madara mentioned it. For all we know there could be other monsters out there." Shikaku informed him.

"Y-you mean there could be another Godzilla out there?!" The shinobi said terrified.

"There is a possibility." Shikaku muttered.

"In any case we need to gather as much intel as we can, maybe we can figure out why it's specifically attacking the Hidden villages." Shikamaru commented as he unfolded a map displaying the elemental nations. "After defeating that monster, Godzilla went to Suna and left it in ruins, then it made it's way to the land of earth, straight to Iwagakure." he pointed to the locations on the map.

"How does it know where to go?" A fellow shinobi asked.

"That's what we're trying to figure out." Shikaku stated as he sighed again.

Meanwhile in another room, the Kages are in a video conference with their lands Daimyo.

"So what you're telling us is that the war against the Akatsuki is over but now we face a much worse crisis." The Fire Daimyo said.

"Yes." Tsunade confirmed.

"That monster has destroyed Sunagakure, and is now making its way to Iwagakure." The Daimyo of the land of wind commented.

"And what're you doing about that?" The land of earth's Daimyo spoke impatiently.

"We've already dispatched a team lead by the Third Tsuchikage to Iwagakure." The Raikage informed them.

"How can I be sure they'll stop it if you failed to stop it in Suna?" The earth Daimyo asked, not confident that they'll be able to stop Godzilla.

"To be completely honest, we are currently unable to properly mount a counterattack against Godzilla. The best we can do is evacuate the citizens of the village." Tsunade told him.

"So you just plan to let it destroy each of the hidden villages until you are ready, is that it?" The Daimyo of the land of lightning spoke.

" That won't happen." Tsunade said with conviction.

"You better stop it." The earth Daimyo said as his tv turned off.

"Best of luck to you all." The Fire Daimyo wished them luck as his monitor turned off before the other Daimyos followed.

"You heard them, we need to gather as much intel on Godzilla as fast as possible!" The Raikage ordered as he and the other Kages exited the room they were in, but where meet by one of their shinobi. "What is it?"

"The reconnaissance team sent to track Godzilla has returned and request your immediate presence." The shinobi informed them.

Quickly the Kages made their way outside to see the team, They were all lined up next to each other, waiting for the Kages to address them.

"Report." The Raikage ordered.

"Sir, we've brought back villagers from a village just outside the land of earth's border, they were attacked by Godzilla." a Kumogakure shinobi spoke.

"Is that all?" The Raikage questioned.

"No, lord Raikage." Hinata spoke up gaining the Raikage's attention. "We've also recovered Sasuke Uchiha who is suffering from some kind of poison due to coming into contact with Godzilla's chakra." She reaches into her ninja pouch and takes out a scroll. " I managed to seal a sample to be analyzed.

"Great work Hinata, we should be able to know more about Godzilla with this." Tsunade complimented as she took the scroll from Hinata.

"Where is Sasuke?" Gaara asked as he didn't see him with the reconnaissance team.

"We handed him over to the medical team." Shino answered.

"I'll go check on him, I want to see first hand what Godzilla's chakra does to a person's body." Tsunade informed everyone. "We need to send a message to Iwagakure to send us one of the Knights to treat Sasuke."

As soon as Tsunade finished that sentence, Karura suddenly appeared between the Kages and the Reconnaissance team.

"Karura what're you-" Tsunade noticed the look of frustration on Karura's face and instantly knew something was wrong. "What happened?"

"We got our asses kicked, Iwa is no more." Karura said through clenched teeth causing everyone to gasp.

"What are the casualties?" Tsunade asked, already fearing the worst.

"Many, including the Tsuchikage himself." Karura answered shocking everyone.

"Lord Tsuchikage was killed?!" An Iwagakure shinobi shouted in disbelief.

"There are many citizens that are severely injured and in desperate need of medical attention." Karura told them.

"We'll dispatch a medical team immediately, along with several teams of shinobi to help with recovery operations." Tsunade said as she looked at Hinata's group. "I know you all just got back but I need you all to go to Iwagakure.

The reconnaissance team all nodded, as Karura was about to teleported them all to Iwa but was stopped by Tsunade. "Karura, I need you to go to Suna to see if they can spare any medical personnel and bring them to Iwa, then I need your help with something."

"Gotcha." Karura agreed as she teleported her group to Iwa.

Meanwhile back at Suna, the last of her citizens has been evacuated and the relief groups are gathered together, the sun setting in the distance.

"Man, I can't wait to get home and take a nice hot bath." Ino said as she stretched, just then Karura appeared in front of her.

"Yo." Karura greeted.

"Karura, Are you here to take us home?" Sakura asked.

"Sorry there's been a change of plans, we're heading to Iwagakure." Karura informed them.

"What happened?" Sakura asked fearing the worst, Karura locked eyes with her before explaining what had happened. Sakura and Ino along with the shinobi around them were stunned. "Godzilla destroyed Iwa, another of the hidden Villages has fallen."

"Tsunade has asked the team here to head to Iwa immediately." Karura told them.

"We don't have a moment to lose." Ino stated as she and the other shinobi gathered around Karura who immediately teleported them to Iwa, They were shocked at the devastation.

Sakura covered her mouth with her hands as she looked at the destroyed village, she can see several shinobi already looking for survivors, she also saw a long row of the citizens that didn't make it. "This is worse than Suna." Sakura whispered.

"Are there even any survivors?" a shinobi spoke as he looked upon the devastation.

"There won't be if you keep yapping your mouth, c'mon!" Karura ordered everyone to follow her and they began the task of looking for survivors, and treating the wounded. Sakura and Ino found the medical tent and saw Hinata already treating a civilian, after she was done Hinata looked up to see her friends." Ino-san, Sakura-san, I'm so glad you're here." She greeted them with a smile, Ino and Sakura got themselves set up and treated the incoming patients after being decontaminated by either Karura or Setsuna. Each with more severe injuries than the last, some are on the brink of death while others died as soon as they were brought in. The girls worked tirelessly, saving as many lives as they could, after several hours of treating the wounded they were finally able to take a break. Hinata stood outside the medical tent, slowly nursing her tea, she let out a tired sigh as she stared sadly into her tea, a single tear ran down her face and into her tea.

"Naruto-kun." Hinata whispered his name in her mind as she felt her heart break, Hearing Setsuna explain who he served was the most painful thing she had ever heard.

"Hinata?"

Hinata was startled by the voice and quickly turned around to see Sakura peeking out of the medical tent. "Sakura-san!"

"Do you mind if I joined you?" Sakura asked.

"Oh, Y-yes. Go right ahead." Hinata told her even though she was the last person she wanted to see right now.

"Thank you." Sakura thanked as she exited the tent and stood beside Hinata. She took a sip of her own tea before looking up at the moon, the cool night breeze felt good against her skin. "Considering what just happened, it's a peaceful night."

"The calm after the storm." Hinata whispered, not looking at Sakura.

"Yes, and soon the storm will come again." Sakura said sadly, she wanted to lighten the mood and start some small talk but was failing. "H-how was your mission?"

"It was fine, we located Godzilla and reported its location to headquarters and they sent a team to stop him before he got to Iwa, you can see how that turned out." Hinata told her.

"I see." Sakura looked at her tea and they both stood silence for a while before Sakura spoke again. " It never gets easy."

Hinata turned her head to look at Sakura, prompting her to continue. " Losing patients, despite being taught by the world's greatest medical ninja, there are some that are just beyond saving." Tears began to form in Sakura's eyes as she recalled the faces of those she couldn't save as well as having to tell the families the unfortunate news.

Hinata felt bad for her friend, she was nowhere near Sakura's level when it came to medical ninjutsu and she always admired her for her confidence and strength. But seeing her suffer like this was too much, she turned around and embraced her in a warm hug. Sakura was caught by surprised but soon returned the hug. "It's alright Sakura-san." Hinata spoke gently. " I know it's hard, but you mustn't blame yourself. You've done everything you could."

At hearing those words Sakura buried her head in Hinata's shoulder and began to sob, today had been just awful with one disaster after another. It was too much. Hinata also shed a few tears as her own pain along with the stress of the situation they were in took hold. She weeped for the innocent, whose lives were cut short, she weeped for the world that now faced the threat of Godzilla, and most importantly she weeped for her love that will never be requited. The two stayed that way for a while before finally drying their tears.

"Thank you Hinata, You have no idea how much it means to me to have you saw that." Sakura told her gratefully as she rubbed the last of her tears away.

"You're very welcome Sakura-san." Hinata smiled before her eyes widen in realization. "Sakura-san there's something I forgot to tell you."

"What is it Hinata?" Sakura asked.

"During our search for Godzilla, we found Sasuke-san." Hinata told her causing Sakura's eyes to widen.

"You found Sasuke-kun?!"

"Yes, we brought him back to the base. He was infected with Godzilla's chakra." Hinata told her which caused Sakura to gasp. "But don't worry, Karura-san helped purge its chakra from his system and I also sealed some of Godzilla's chakra in a scroll for Lady Tsunade to analyze."

"That's great, we should be able to find out how Godzilla's chakra is so toxic and maybe even discover something about the creature." Sakura said as she hope filled her eyes. "I need to go to the village to see him. But I can't leave here."

"Sure you can."

Sakura and Hinata turned to the source of the voice to see Karura. "We have everything covered here, and I'm sure lady Tsunade can use the extra help."

"Are you sure?" Sakura asked, not entirely sure she should go.

"It's fine, I'll take you back myself." Karura offered.

"Thank you, I'll go inform Ino." Sakura thanked Karura as she went inside the tent.

"That was very kind of you." Hinata spoke.

"What can I say, I'm a very kind person." Karura shrugged.

Sakura soon returned and Karura teleported them both back to the base, once they arrived Sakura immediately went to the medical station and asked for Tsunade. She was guided to a quarantine area of the medical station, she entered a decontamination chamber and put on a quarantine suit before entering the lab. There she saw Tsunade and Shizune analyzing Godzilla's chakra.

"Milady." Sakura spoke gaining their attention.

"Sakura, what're you doing here?" Tsunade asked confused.

"We're doing healing the injured citizens and I received word that you were analyzing a sample of Godzilla's chakra and I rushed over to help." Sakura explained.

"We sure can use the extra help. "Tsunade said smiling as all three began to analyze the sample of Godzilla's chakra.

Back at Iwagakure the shinobi have retired for the night and are sleeping in tents, however for one shinobi sleep alluded her. Hinata tossed and turned in her bed but she couldn't fall asleep, sighing she got up and exited the tent. She decided to take a walk in the hopes that it would get her tired enough to fall asleep, but during her walk, she began to think about Naruto, which caused her heart to ache. She found a secluded and began to cry, the pain in her heart was just too much to bear.

"I promise you, I'll make Naruto-kun acknowledge me and I'll work hard to be by his side…...forever."

"I'm sorry." Hinata whispered." I can't keep my promise."

"You can do it, I believe you can do anything." The voice of the boy she spoke to echoed in her mind.

"It's too late, Naruto-kun and I will never be together now." Hinata cried as she fell to her knees.

"How can you be so sure?" a feminine voice spoke

"Hinata's head snapped up and she looked for the source of the voice. "Who's there?"

"The future is not set in stone, and even if it was, you can just smash it to pieces since you're strong enough to do so." The voice said.

"I just…...what if he rejects me?" HInata asked.

"At least you tried, but that doesn't mean the end. Prove your love to him." The voice answered.

Hinata thought over what she was told, she still was unsure but the voice was right. If she can get a chance to prove her love to Naruto then there's hope. "You're right, I can't believe I was ready to give up on him….to give up on us."

"It's okay, it would be hard for anyone who's in your situation to not give up. I believe in you." the voice said which caused Hinata to smile.

"Thank you." Hinata thanked the voice.

"No problem, now go get some rest and tomorrow you can begin your mission to win Naruto's heart." The voice said cheerfully.

"You're right." Hinata said happily as she stood up. "Goodnight."

"Goodnight." The voice replied as Hinata walked back to her tent, she didn't notice a faded image of a young woman appear where she stood before fading away.

The Next day at the shinobi alliance base, Sakura is sitting down while taking a sip of her tea. She, Shizune and Tsunade worked all night analyzing Godzilla's chakra. They discover how Godzilla's chakra affected living things, and it wasn't good they tested it on mice and observed how they suddenly become nauseous, vomiting blood and loss of hair, before ultimately dying. On closer examination of the deceased mice they discovered that Godzilla's chakra damages the cells, it reduces the blood's lymphocyte cell count, in the brain the toxic chakra kills nerve cells, in the reproductive tract it can leave them sterile. They also discovered that some parts of the body were more vulnerable to the toxic chakra than others, such as the thyroid gland, and gastrointestinal tract. Its effects on plants is equally devastating, just like mammals it damages the plants DNA, causes sterilization, growth reduction, reduce seed germination, direct burn to expose tissue, and mortality which includes acute lethality and long term reduction in lifespan.

Sakura sighed as she stared into her tea. "Godzilla's chakra is deadly to every living thing."

Another important thing they discovered is that Godzilla's chakra sticks around for a while, and depending on the amount released it would be around for days, weeks, months, years, centuries, maybe even a millenia. Sakura ran a hand through her hair." Godzilla's presence alone makes an area completely uninhabitable." This is a threat beyond what they previously thought, Godzilla is the end of everything.

"Are you alright Sakura?"

Sakura lifted her head to see Shizune. "Oh Shizune-san, yes I'm fine." She smiled at the woman but Shizune saw through her smile.

"I understand how you feel Sakura, both Lady Tsunade, and myself are deeply concerned about what we discovered. Godzilla's chakra is unlike any poison we've ever encountered, There's no way to cure it other than what Karura and Setsuna did." Shizune explained.

Sakura could see the worry in Shizune's eyes, however the conversation reminded her of the question she forgot to ask last night. "Shizune-san, how's Sasuke?"

"He was exposed to a large amount of Godzilla's chakra and his cells did suffer damage." She heard Sakura gasp. "Not to worry, Karura-san purged it's chakra from his system and Setsuna helped heal Sasuke."

"He knows Medical Ninjutsu?" Sakura asked curiously.

"Yes, he repaired Sasuke's damaged cells and scanned his body for any other anomaly before heading back to Iwa." Shizune told her, but she should've known that Setsuna was capable of using medical Ninjutsu. "You can go see him if you want, but afterwards I want you to get some rest." Shizune can see the bags under Sakura's eyes, and with healing people throughout the day Yesterday, before coming straight here to help. It's no wonder the young Kunoichi looked tired.

"It's a deal." Sakura smiled gratefully as she went to see Sasuke.

In the base mess hall, Naruto is enjoying a cup of Ramen when Karura and Hinata suddenly appeared next to him, startling him and causing him to fall back.

"Naruto-kun, are you alright?" Hinata asked worriedly.

"Yeah, I'm alright." Naruto assured Hinata as he pick himself off the ground and back on his seat. "Is everything done in Iwagakure?"

"Yes, we've evacuated the citizens and arrangements are being made for the funerals of those who didn't make it….as well as the funeral of the Third Tsuchikage. " Hinata said the last part solemnly.

"I heard about that." Naruto said sadly. "We need to stop Godzilla, or else more people will die." He finished up his ramen before getting up and heading outside.

"Naruto-kun, where are you going?" Hinata asked following behind him.

"I'm going to check up on Sasuke before going out to look for Godzilla." He explained.

In another part of the base, Sakura was sitting on a folding chair, her eyes staring at the sleeping form of her teammate in front of her. His chest rising and falling with each breath he took.

"Sasuke-kun." Sakura whispered his name, she read the medical report on his condition and realised how close he came to death. She didn't know how long he was exposed to Godzilla's chakra, but it was enough to do serious damage to his body. "I have to thank Setsuna and Karura, they saved your life." Sakura placed her right hand on top of Sasuke's. "Sasuke-kun, what were you doing, and why do you have to do so much on your own?" she gently squeezed his hand as her eyes welled up with unshed tears.

The sound of the door creaking open caused Sakura to quickly turn her head to see Naruto's head peeking inside. "Naruto?"

"Hey Sakura-chan." Naruto greeted, noticing Sakura's hand on top of Sasuke's. "How are you doing?"

"I'm doing fine." Sakura assured him as she wiped her unshed tears.

Naruto knew she was lying, he walked to stand next to her and looked down at his sleeping friend. "How's Sasuke?"

"He's doing fine, thanks to Setsuna and Karura." Sakura informed him.

"For all the trouble he's given us, he looks so peaceful." Naruto commented, he then gets an idea and grins wickedly, Sakura knew that look.

"Naruto, don't." She warned him sternly.

"It's what he gets for making us worry so much about him." Naruto stated as he pulled out a black marker from his pocket and began to write on Sasuke's face.

Sakura tried to see what he wrote but Naruto's back was blocking her vision, when Naruto took a step back to admire his work, Sakura got a good look at what he did and fought back the urge to laugh. "Naruto, what is that?"

"Do you like it?" Naruto asked looking back to a drawing of himself smiling and looking victorious as his foot is on top of a defeated Sasuke who had swirls in his eyes.

"If I say yes, will you wipe it off?" Sakura asked, a smile forming on her lips.

"Maybe?" Naruto said playfully as he looked up and smiled mischievously.

"You're real hopeless you know that?" Sakura said as she rested her head on her left palm and stared at Naruto.

"Knock, knock."

Naruto and Sakura turned towards the door to see Hinata and Karura. " Hinata? Karura?"

"Pardon our intrusion." Hinata spoke as she and Karura stepped inside.

"No trouble at all Hinata-chan." Naruto assured her, flashing her a smile.

Hinata couldn't help but smile back, her cheeks turning a light shade of red. "How is Sasuke-san doing?"

"He's fine, although I don't think he'll be in a good mood when he wakes up." Naruto says causing Hinata and Karura to arch their eyebrows in confusion, He motioned to Sasuke and one look said it all, Karura laughed so hard as she held on to her stomach, Hinata couldn't help but giggle.

"Karura not so loud, Sasuke-kun is trying to sleep." Sakura chastised.

"Sorry, it's just too funny." Karura said between laughs.

"See Sakura-chan, Hinata-chan and Karura think it's funny." Naruto stated.

"Yeah ,yeah just keep it down." Sakura said as she looked back to Sasuke, Naruto noticed the worried look in Sakura's eyes as well as longing.

"It's going to be okay Sakura-chan, once Sasuke wakes up we'll be team seven again." Naruto assured her.

"Thank you Naruto." Sakura thanked her teammate, in these moments of weakness she's glad to have Naruto by her side.

"But you should also get some rest, wouldn't want to be too tired to greet teme here." Naruto pointed his thumb a Sasuke.

"Alright." Sakura told him, she knew better than to argue with Naruto when it comes to her safety, ordinarily she'd tell him she was fine but she did feel herself starting to tire.

"Good, then I'll see you when I get back." Naruto said as he made his way towards the door.

"Are you going somewhere?" Sakura asked.

Naruto stopped as he opened the door, he turned his head to look at her, with a smile he said. "I"m going to look for Godzilla." before resuming his way out along with Karura and Hinata.

Sakura stood still for a moment before sighing. "He doesn't slow down does he?" she whispered to herself before smiling slightly.

Naruto made his way towards the main command post, when he arrived he saw Gaara conversing with the Mizukage. "Yo Gaara."

Both Kages turned to see Naruto. "Naruto, what brings you here?" Gaara asked his dear friend.

"I wanted to request a mission to go look for Godzilla." Naruto informed him.

"By yourself?" The Mizukage asked.

"Unless you have anyone who can go with me than yes I'll go alone." Naruto stated.

"Most of our shinobi are either injured, helping with the evacuations or with the relocations, I don't think we have anyone available." The Mizukage stated.

"I'm available Ma'm." Hinata spoke up Gaining everyone's attention. "I'll join Naruto-kun on a mission to look for Godzilla, My Byakugan will be essential in detecting its chakra."

"Very well then." Gaara agreed immediately.

"Alright!" Naruto cheered.

"Don't do anything reckless." Gaara warned.

"Relax, this is me we're talking about." Naruto assured him, but that only worried Gaara more.

"What about you Karura-san?" the Mizukage asked.

"I'd love to but I have something I need to take care of." Karura told them before waving goodbye and teleporting back to the leaf. " Hinata will get some alone time with Naruto, which she will be arriving soon" Karura muttered to herself before grinning. " I'd better speed things along with Lady Temari before Naruto gets back." she casually walked to Naruto's apartment while whistling an innocent tune.
