Disclaimer: I don't want Pokémon and their annoying rules!

I had just gotten my first Pokémon, Cyndaquil, from Professor Elm a week ago, and after getting my first Badge, here I was in Azelea Town, hoping to go to Goldenrod and buy some TMs at the Department store. I was walking happily down a lush green path, when I saw a guy.

The guy looked upset. "Will you help me? I have to catch my boss's Farfetched because they ran away. Please help me?" he pleaded.

I shook my head. "Sorry buddy, but I need to get to Goldenrod. But I'll come back."

I went to a gap in the thick pine trees, only to be blocked by a tiny tree. "What the heck is this?"

A small tree is blocking you. You'll have to cut it down.

"WTF?! I don't have the time for this? Cyndaquil, burn it down!"

My Pokémon easily destroyed the tree with an Ember attack. The guy I saw earlier looked astonished.

"What's wrong with you?! You can't do that!" he said, eyes wide.

"Why not? It's a tree; trees burn. I love the Earth, but you can't save every tree. It was in my way."

The guy was getting angry. "You can't just burn down the trees; you have to use Cut."

"I don't know Cut, and this works well too."

His head was turning red. "It's against the rules!"

"Too bad." And with that, I walked towards Goldenrod.

Little did I know that there are rules, and you can't win against a game.

Ever.

I was about 9, I was playing Soulsilver and there was a tree in my way. The first thought that came in my head was "Why can't I just climb over it?"

So this is my fanfic about doing what you want to do, even if it's against the rules. Who needs HMs?

Send in suggestions,
