I'm back! All that's left is exams, only one of which I actually have to study for! I now have plenty of free time! That and I finally got off my butt and decided to work on this again! Hope you enjoy this latest chapter of Code: Redemption!

Odd and the others reached Kadic to see it infested with monsters. They had had trouble because they had encountered Hornets in the sewers on the way there. All of the students were being evacuated inside the nearest building, mostly into the dormitories. Bloks and Krabs were shooting at the doors, trying to reach their new victims. Xana was angry at what she saw and went over to the nearest Krab.

"Stop this right now!" she yelled.

The Krab turned to her.

If you do not wish to get hurt, Mistress, I suggest you stay out of the way. It said to her.

Xana wouldn't have it though. She climbed on top of the Krab and smashed her fist into the mark in an attempt to destroy it. Then, something strange happened. The moment Xana touched the Krab, it stopped trying to shake her off. Xana was confused.

"What in the world?" She asked. "Wait a second…"

She decided to try something. She wordlessly pointed to one of the Bloks. The Krab turned and fired at it. The Blok was soon destroyed. This caught the attention of its partner and it started to shoot at the Krab.

Traitor! It cried as it shot at the Krab.

Xana was caught off guard, but only for a moment. She silently commanded the Krab to destroy the Blok. It did so quickly. The others just stood agape at what had just happened. Xana jumped off of the Krab and walked over to them.

"It seems that I can take control of enemy monsters. Strange how I did that though." She said.

"It doesn't matter right now. We've got to destroy the rest of them." Yumi said after recovering from her shock.

They nodded and the Krab helped Xana climb back on to it.

"Onward!" She commanded and the Krab went to where the other monsters were on campus.

"Well, how about this? Last time we had a X.A.N.A. monster on our side was when the Marabounta went crazy!" Odd noted.

"You're forgetting the monsters I call, Odd!" Xana replied from atop the Krab.

"You know what I mean!" Odd retorted.

Xana nodded.

"Even though it was because of the Keys to Lyoko in Aelita's memory and just wanting to stay alive, I still helped you!" She said.

Without another word being said, they reached the quad. There were a few more Krabs, some Bloks, and Kankrelats everywhere. Xana silently ordered her Krab to fire on the Kankrelats. It managed to take out a couple before the monsters noticed and started firing at the Lyoko Warriors. The group immediately split up, the monsters doing so as well. Xana's Krab continued firing on its brethren taking out two of the Krabs. Meanwhile, two Kankrelats were chasing Aelita into the forest. Her eyes on the Kankrelats, she didn't notice that she was about to trip on the root of a nearby tree. When she did, she was on her face. She lifted herself up to see her pursuers creeping up toward her. Out of instinct, she put her arm out like she was shooting an energy field. Suddenly, an energy field came out of her hand and hit one of the Kankrelats. It exploded, leaving its partner in shock. Aelita was shocked too.

"What the?" She asked herself as she examined her hand.

She had no time to ponder it, because the Kankrelat got over its shock and crept toward her. She looked at her hand again.

"I wonder if it'll work a second time." Aelita said as she faced her hand toward the monster.

The Kankrelat prepared to fire its laser at her.

"Here goes nothing. Energy Field!" Aelita cried.

Just like before, an energy field shot out of her hand into the Kankrelat, which exploded. Aelita repositioned herself so that she was on her rear.

"There's no way I can shoot energy fields on Earth. But, that would mean that…" She pondered.

Then she gasped as it hit her. Xana's sudden ability to control the Krab by touching it and her ability to shoot energy fields, there was no other explanation. She grabbed her phone and decided to call Jeremie.

Meanwhile, Jeremie was still looking for a way that X.A.N.A. was sending the monsters to the real world.

"This doesn't make any sense. I've found no activated Towers or a portal of any kind. What is going on here?" He said confused.

Then, he saw something strange on Lyoko.

"Huh?" He said as he looked at it.

There was what looked like a giant Simulation Bubble in the middle of the Desert Sector.

"That's weird." He said. "Where did it come from?"

Then he noticed something else. X.A.N.A.'s monsters appeared to be going inside the bubble.

"Could that be a portal to the real world?" He wondered.

Then the Supercomputer's phone rang. It was Aelita.

"Aelita?" he asked. "What's up?"

"Jeremie, I think I know what's happening." Aelita said.

"You do?!" Jeremie asked in surprise.

"Yes, Jeremie. I don't know how, but I think the whole city's been virtualized." Aelita replied.

Jeremie gasped.

"That's it! That explains how the monsters got into the city without us knowing! We're all in a giant Simulation Bubble! And X.A.N.A. doesn't need to activate a Tower to send monsters into one!" Jeremie said.

"Then what should we do, Jeremie?" Aelita asked.

"Call the others and tell them about this! If the city's been virtualized, then the edge of the bubble should be on the city limits!" Jeremie said.

"I understand, Jeremie, but how do we rematerialize the city? You said yourself that there are no activated Towers, so that's not going to work." Aelita said.

"Simple! I activate my own Towers to try to counteract this! You just concentrate on getting out of this bubble!" Jeremie said.

"Hang on, Jeremie. What if we used the Scanners to virtualize ourselves outside the bubble?" Aelita suggested.

"I don't know if that'll work, but what choice do we have? All right, call the others and get them here!" Jeremie said.

"Okay, Jeremie. See you later." Aelita finished.

Then they both hung up.

"Phew." Jeremie said. "Alan, you are one crafty man."
