Disclaimer: This fan fiction is my own idea,
but I do not own Inu Yasha or any of the characters in the story... sadly.

Her slender legs entered the water smoothly, followed by the her hips and her waist. She flinched when the ice cool water hit her stomach and hastily rose above the water again, only to be shocked by the touch of her wet and almost frozen hair. She shook her head at herself. It was so easy to act indifferent and unfeeling during the day, and to act like she was strong, but night had always appealed to her differently, stripping away her guards like she did with her clothes before entering the lake. She attempted, again, to enter the water. This time, she dived suddenly and submerged herself completely before coming back up for air, with her head weighed down by her long, entangling hair, most of which still floated in the water. Right now was her private moment, when none dared to intrude upon her, not even that pesky servant of hers. She grinned a little at the thought. Everybody was scared of her simply because of her position, and the fact that she was a youkai. And they only knew she was a youkai because of her streaked face and her tail. Even her tail was simply part of her attire - sort of a cover up. Besides, it was warm and sufficed for a blanket during the colder nights. She blinked away the water drops near her eyes and continued scrubbing her slender, but tall body. Even Inu Yasha had thought of her as weak, simply because she was a girl. Well, there were a lot that the humans didn't know about - things such as the fact that most male youkai lords acquired their positions from marriage. As a gift in return, she called Inu Yasha weak, simply because he was half human. She knew it was not true though, because he could easily overcome many strong youkais, and maybe even herself. But she would never let her fear show, or let her facade fall. Finishing her bath, she stepped out of the water and walked over to her towel. Gently wrapping herself with the towel, she sighed. She wasn't trying to be vain, but her body was almost perfect, lined with a smooth layer of skin. The only thing she would ever try to change was her voice. Maybe she would make it a tad higher in pitch, and tad more feminine. She wrapped herself in the layers of clothes that included a fancy, multi-layered kimono, a fluffy tail, and a shoulder armor. Then, she tied up the sash around her kimono and checked her attire, making sure that it was flawless. Finally, she pulled out her silver hair from under the clothing and touched up on her collar habitually. She stepped out from behind the bush to find her human foster daughter. She had picked the girl up when the girl was near death, mostly because her maternal instincts had urged her on. Besides, there was no way that she could simply leave a helpless child like that. The said girl came running over to her, gleefully, to give her a hug, and yelled out her name. "Sesshoumaru-sama!" How she loved Rin. a/n: This story is the result of too many stories making people misunderstand Sesshoumaru as a woman... now 'he' is... ^^ |
