Chapter 4 (Taking a dip!) Part 1: Start!

Midnight struck in Yokai Academy. And the students were all settled in their beds and getting their rest after another day of classes and club activities. But there was one student who was wide awake and ready for a night of excitement. His current state of dress? It wasn't the school uniform, not even his pajamas, but a grey tank top and a pair of green swim trunks. His hazel eyes shined in anticipation for what his late evening brought. He managed to sneak out of his room and the dorms and was now making a B-Line for the pool of all places.

His long brown hair flowed with the wind and his heart beat quickened with each stride made as he closed in on his destination. It didn't take long before he finally made it to what he considered to be the Promised Land: the pool. Yokai Academy had many clubs, martial arts, science, and Acupuncture clubs. But to him, the biggest club of them all was none other than the swimming club! For someone that spent his junior high years in an all-boys school, the chance to glance at beautiful girls in bikinis was like discovering a long lost treasure to the world; and there were so many cuties that were in the club, especially one of the hottest girls in not just his year, but in the school period, Kurumu Kurono being a member too! But while there were many he would ogle all day, his greatest fantasy was going to take place just behind this locked gate, all that he needed to do was wait out like he was instructed to and…

"I'm glad that you made it,"

A sound very akin to a squeal emitted from the young man's throat as the sound of this person whose back he was currently against could be picked out in a group of a thousand young women. He turned around and saw the vision of loveliness standing in front of him.

Turquoise colored hair and yellow eyes, and dressed in her purple bikini top and matching long skirt that surely covered the bottoms. Her left hand was rubbing her right arm which actually brought his attention to her beautiful fair skin. This was Tamao Ichinose, the captain of the swimming club, and the girl he had an immense crush on since he first laid eyes on her! She smiled his way which served to nearly drive him wild.

"I was a little scared, I thought I was being too forward when I invited you here…" She stated.

"O-Oh no! Not at all, it's TOTALLY cool!" The male student quickly reassured her.

"It's just that…we don't know each other at all, and I've asked you to come out here at this time; I don't want you to think less of me for doing something like this." She explained herself, plenty nervous for what this could do to her reputation and maybe even her club if word of this got around.

"Trust me, Ms. Ichinose. There's NOTHING you could do to make me think any less of you." The brunette reassured. "But there is something I want to know: why me? I'm sure there are plenty of guys better looking than I am that you could do this for instead." He said.

Tamao looked into the eyes of the young man and a dash of red splashed her cheeks before looking at the ground "They never paid attention to me, at least not the way you did." She said, causing the young man to jump in surprise. This reaction in turn caused the young woman in return to giggle. "You thought I didn't notice you when you made your little routines to watch our club…or me…Kazuya?"

The young man, now identified as Kazuya looked away from Tamao, feeling quite embarrassed at the moment.

"It's fine, you know most boys would just stare at me and the rest of the club like we were pieces of meat. But there was a different look in your eye Kazuya, something that rocked me to my core, something that made... me... want you…" Tamao was mere inches away from her junior as she dragged out the sentence, whispering the last two words into his ear.

Kazuya in turn felt his whole face burn red and his knees go a little weak. Here he was, with his crush, in the middle of the night about to get into who knows what (although he could make a pretty good guess)? There was no way he could make eye contact with her saying these things to him.

''Look at me Kazuya," He heard her whisper to him and he saw her eyes staring at him with adoration. "Do you like me?"

"Yes," he answered without any hesitation.

"Do you regret being here with me right now?" She asked.

"Not in the slightest." If the smile on the club president's face were to judge, she was very pleased with that answer. She walked right by him, he was to follow, but her hand gently on his chest stopped him.

"Keep your back to me, and keep your eyes closed. Don't move until I tell you to."

Kazuya was about to rebute the command until he felt a cloth enter his hands, and when he felt very soft mounds rub against his arm, it wasn't rocket science to figure out what he was just handed. "Can you do that for me Kazuya?" She didn't even need a vocal answer. The lightning like movement was all she needed. "Good," she said to him as she sauntered her way to the gate.

Kazuya couldn't keep himself from shaking in anticipation. His eyes remained shut as he heard the sounds of Tamao's footsteps getting further from him and the gate being unlocked. He clutched the top in his hand and grew giddier with each passing second. He had to stop himself from giggling like a maniac when he heard the swim captain enter the pool.

"Okay Kazuya, you can come to the pool now, but keep your eyes closed."

"Huh? Alright, but are you sure on the whole 'keep my eyes closed' deal? I don't want to hit anything or just fall into the pool…"

"You'll be fine, just follow the sound of my voice…" Instructed Tamao, to which the the underclassman nodded in understanding and slowly walked forward to his crush step by step. "You're doing fine Kazuya, just keep walking…" Completely enticed by the sweetness in the voice speaking to him, Kazuya continued his walk, his hands outstretched in the air so that he could stop himself from hitting anything. But the sound of water splashing closer to him was definitely making him happy, and giving him a better idea on where to go.

"You're getting closer," The club president said after a giggle.

Kazuya's hand found the gate, meaning he was oh so much closer. He walked pass it and entered the pool area. Closer and closer until he felt a hand on his leg. "You've found me…" She flirtatiously said.

"Can I open my eyes now?" Kazuya asked.

"Not yet," Tamao stated. "You have to come in the pool first." She told him as she reached over and grabbed his hand.

With her assistance, Kazuya slowly made his way into the pool and felt himself be pulled deeper in by the upperclassman. Once he was in the middle of the pool, he could've sworn he felt her hands feel different than they were a few seconds ago, like they felt…webby.

"Open your eyes Kazuya…" Doing as told, the brown haired young man did as instructed. But instead of the vision of loveliness that he had traced in his mind for the last three years, her faced morphed into one that would strike fear into anyone; her mouth had expanded, becoming scalier with her teeth now jagged and shark-like.

Kazuya opened his mouth to scream, but before a sound could even come out of his throat, he was pulled underwater. He tried desperately to pull away from the aquatic monster's powerful grip, but fight as hard as he did, all his efforts in keeping away combined with him trying to hold his breath was making his struggle pointless; and it only served to make Tamao laugh.

If it were up to her, she would've continued to enjoy his feeble attempts at getting away from her. But, she was tried pf waiting and she decided to indulge. Her large maw opened up and chomped down on the shoulder of Kazuya, making him cry out in pain, a reaction muffled by the water filling his lungs.

A few more seconds passed, the bubbles that were seen on the surface of the pool, indicating that a struggle was indeed taking place, had now stopped; and the lifeless male body of Kazuya was floating in the surface. Soon after, Tamao rose out of the water. She grabbed him by the wrist and pulled him out of the pool. Grabbing her top and putting it back on, she looked over her shoulder at the downed Kazuya and moaned. It had been so long for her...she wished she could've continued indulging in his essence until he finally keeled over, but considering how unlucky she's been so far since clubs have started, she had to play this one a little differently.

Looking down at her prey once again with a smile on her face she said: "You were great Kazuya," She said sweet as sugar as she grabbed his body and dragged it to who knows where. "We'll definitely be doing this again..."

"How? Just…how?!" Yukari Sendo cried as she stared at her math book in disbelief. She, Moka and Clark had made it to the clubroom after their classes had ended. But when their president hadn't arrived yet, they all decided to work on their homework while they waited. Yukari in particular decided to work on math and breezed by with relative ease until she ran into a problem that even she struggled with.

She spent a good ten minutes working on it, struggling until she finally worked out the answer to the problem; only for Clark to look up and tell her she took a few missteps in her problem after just a couple of seconds of staring at it. When challenged to make the proper correction, Clark pointed to the exact places Yukari went wrong and after a quick correction, it went without saying the young witch was feeling very confused at the moment.

"How were you able to figure out the problem just from looking at it once?!" She was a genius! Aside from her skills in magic, her intellect was the thing that she had the most pride in; and in spite of the two getting along much better than they did upon their first few meetings, Yukari still thought herself to be smarter than Clark, so her ego took a bit of a blow from this.

The Kryptonian just shrugged his shoulders and with a smile answered: "Just been taking good notes, I guess." Granted, he always was a pretty good student in school. He was able to get things the teachers taught him after a single explanation and demonstration; not to mention if he wanted to, he could probably read an entire book in a matter of a few moments.

A minute later, the door opened, revealing Moka entering the clubroom. The vampire left from her homework to grab some drinks for her and her friends. Seeing the looks they both shared, she couldn't help questioning: "Um, what happened?"

"Don't want to talk about it, my pride hurts so much already…" Yukari moaned.

"Ok…" Moka left it at that. "Here are your drinks guys. Coffee for Clark, Grape soda for Yukari and tomato juice for me!"

"Tomato juice? You really are a vampire, huh Moka?" She had heard from other students that Moka was a vampire, word definitely picked up after what happened with Junya and the condition that he was left in. "I never would've guessed from just looking at you,"

The vampire in turn giggled a little at that statement. "That's because of the rosary I'm wearing. Thanks to it, my inner vampire is sealed away.

"Has it ever come off?" Questioned the witch.

"Only once, and it was because of Clark. I was never able to take the rosary off on my own, but Clark was able to take it off no problem."

"Really? What was the 'Inner Moka' like Clark? You had to have seen it for yourself right?"

"I did, and she was interesting to say the least," That commanding and no nonsense attitude of hers was something that Clark wouldn't forget, especially in contrast to the pink haired kind girl that he associated with on a daily basis. The trio of friends enjoyed their beverages in silence as the minutes continued to pass by.

"I wonder what Gin's doing? He should've been here half an hour ago…" Moka stated.

"Knowing that lecher, he's probably somewhere preying on young innocent freshmen." Yukari suggested, clearly annoyed, before she took a sip from her soda can.

Before anyone knew, the door to the clubroom flung opened and Gin rushed in with a simple shout of: "GUYS!"

This in turn causing Yukari's soda to go down her throat wrong, resulting in her entering a coughing fit. Moka quickly walked over to the younger girl and assist in her pain with pats on the back. Her pain however went ignored by her club president as he was far too enthused with what he was about to say.

"Listen up! A brand new story has presented itself to us!" He announced with a very serious look on his face. It was only when Clark gave him a look that was discreetly calling him odd and Yukari's coughing came to an end that he was brought back down to Earth. "What happened to the pipsqueak?" A mini tub crashed atop his head as a response to his question, dropping him to the ground.

Yukari, gasping for air and shakily holding her wand with her left hand looked at the werewolf in plain fury. "Are you TRYING to kill me?!" She yelled at him.

Gin rose back up to his feet, baring his fangs at Yukari. "OW!" He exclaimed. "The hell was that for, you little brat?!" He tried getting in closer to give the girl a peace of his mind, but a very tall wall named Clark Kent blocked his path.

"Gin, let's calm down for a sec," he tried to reason. "It was a bit of an overreaction on her part sure but,"

"But nothing Kent!" The club president cut the alien off. "I could have serious brain damage because of what that twerp did! And she ain't getting off with just a scolding!"

"You come even another inch towards me and I'll neuter you, you sleazy dog!" Threatened Yukari.

"I get another inch towards you, I promise you won't live to see puberty…" Gin shot back. It'd been two weeks since the Locker Room incident and while the majority of the newspaper club members buried the hatch between one another, things we're still a little tense between Gin and Yukari, and they were the ones most likely to get into arguments.

Leaving the other two members of the club to play peacemakers. Speaking of, Moka stepped in front of the other female in the club: "Come on you two, don't fight. We're all friends, so let's try and get on the same page, for me, okay?" She asked with a sweet tone and smile that only she could give.

The werewolf and witch glared at one another for a few more seconds before sighing and looking away: "Fine." They both said.

Clark let out a breath of relief, happy that a possible crisis was averted. Now, he could bring attention to what started this whole argument. "You said you had a story Gin?"

The upperclassman in response perked up and cleared his throat. "Right! Well, I could tell you guys about it, but I figured we'd be better off letting the guy who told me about it explain it to you," The werewolf motioned behind him and saw an empty doorway. "You can come in now,"

Before anyone (Specifically Yukari) could possibly crack a joke about the lack of an actual person to provide a story, a hand did prop up on the door followed by the rest of a person's body. This person in particular had dirty blond hair styled in a bowl cut, had brown eyes and wore the Yokai uniform. "Are you sure it's okay to come in or are you guys still yelling…?" he questioned. Seeing the confused to unamused looks ranging on all their faces, this young man decided it be best to just shut up and explain his story.

"My name's Kengo Abi, first year," He introduced himself. "And I was hoping that you guys in the newspaper club could find my friend." The blonde took out a picture from his jacket, it showed himself and Kazuya both grinning and giving a thumbs up.

"His name's Kazuya Yuto," Kengo stated. "He's a first year too, and he hasn't been in class for three days. I was hoping you guys could find him for me,"

The club members looked at each other before looking at Kengo, all with smiles on their faces. Moka was the first to speak up about the issue: "We'd be more than happy to help you Kengo," she responded.

"Before we do, we need to confirm something about Kazuya," Gin requested. "Have you checked on him at all? For all we know, he could just be sick and has been laying around in his bed." For all that he knew, the student could've been making a big deal over a miniscule issue.

"I thought that at first myself," admitted Kengo. "But when I came by his room yesterday, I found out that his door was unlocked; and he was nowhere to be found. So I went by the nurse's office but she hadn't seen him. No one in the club we attend has seen him either. It's like he vanished without a trace,"

"That makes things a bit more interesting…" Gin said rubbing his chin. "No worries Kengo, we're gonna find your friend!" The werewolf promised. "Won't we guys?"

The members of the newspaper clubs all smiled, determination filling their hearts as they prepared themselves this new venture.

"First things first, we'll need some info about Kazuya, it'll make things easier for us to figure out where he could've gone." Clark mentioned.

"Yeah, you said the both of you attend a club together, what was it?" Moka asked.

"Oh, sure thing," Kengo said. "We both attend the game club. Kazuya's really into all sorts of games, so when we found out there was a game club, he brought me along to join."

"Gaming club. Do you mind if we go there and ask the other members if they've seen Kazuya around?" The vampire questioned.

"Yeah, I might have to talk to the president about it, but there shouldn't be too much of a problem,"

"So, we have the game club. Any other places he might hang out in?" This time it was Yukari asking away. All the while Gin looked at the three students and was on the verge of prideful tears. Here they were, only a couple of weeks in the club and they were asking questions and jotting down info like they were old hands at it.

'I'm so proud,' He mentally cheered.

"Well, outside of the club, there is one place that I do catch him passing by…" Everyone in the room could pick up on the change of moods from Kengo after the statement. "The swimming club. It never failed that after club, he'd stop by and peek in on the girls seeing that they're usually wrapping up practice as soon as we get there. I'd be lying if I said I didn't join him myself in watching them too." He blushed in embarrassment when he saw the judgmental looks he received from the female members of the newspaper club.

This didn't go unnoticed by Gin and Clark either: "Come on girls, cut the guy some slack. There are and have always been beautiful girls in Yokai's swimming club, even back when I was a first year. Who'd blame Kengo here for wanting to get an eyeful?" The werewolf argued.

"Of course a total pervert like you wouldn't find any problem with that…" Yukari chided.

"Watch it, brat…" Warned the oldest student in the room.

While the two were on the verge of arguing and Moka broke it up, Clark spared the young man in question a glance of understanding and support. Hey, as upstanding a guy as he was, Clark was still a teenage boy; and even he could be titalized. He definitely saw his old friend Lana in a different light the first time he saw her in a bikini.

"Of all the girls in the club, there was one that Kazuya had his eyes on more than anyone. That was the club president."

The focus was brought back to Kengo mentioning that. "Tamao Ichinose?"

"You know her Gin?" Moka asked.

"Not personally, everything I do know is from word of mouth," the club president answered. "She's a third year student, and when she came in, the swimming club hadn't been doing too well, in fact it was on the verge of disbanding. But she joined the club, and in the two, going on three years that she's been in the club, it's exploded in popularity."

"I wonder why? Couldn't have anything to do with the fact that club's filled with girls running around in skimpy bikinis letting everything hang out instead of swimsuits handed out by the school," Yukari stated with some ire.

"Aww, is someone jealous they don't have anything to show off? Don't worry Yukari, I'm sure in eight years you won't be as flat as a board…" Mocked Gin.

"Don't…" Moka wrapped her hand around Yukari's wrist, the one belonging to the hand she held her wand in; and while the glowing ceased on said wand, Yukari gave the werewolf a glare that promised nothing but unadulterated torture.

A glare that the upperclassman completely laughed off in front of his fellow males: "Anyways, Tamao Ichinose, hell of a looker, am I right Kengo?" He tried to joke with him, but the blonde wasn't in any laughing mood.

"Well, I mean yeah but, there was always something kind of...off about here. Something that I didn't really trust."

This was where Clark decided to take over in asking questions and hopefully get things more on track. "Something like what?" he asked.

"Kazuya probably never noticed it, seeing the minute we were caught, we were doing our best to get out of our hiding spots before the girls could remember our faces, but every now and again I caught the president's eyes and there was always something about them that were unsettling. Like a hunter with its prey."

"A hunter huh? Can't say I ever noticed a look like that in her eyes…"

"Probably because you weren't focused on her eyes whenever you saw her." Gin's right eye twitched as he was on the receiving end of another one of Yukari's verbal jabs. "You know what…" he started picking up steam for a response.

"Kengo might not be off though…" This cut any sort of verbage he had to throw at the witch as his eyes were focused now on Moka.

"What do you mean by that Moka?" He asked.

"Clark," The vampire called out to her best friend and for a brief second green and blue eyes met with one another.

"Is there something we're missing?" Yukari asked.

"Well, the day Moka and I signed up for clubs, we did have a run in with the swim club president…" The Kryptonian said as his mind drifted back to a month and a half ago.

XXX

"MREOW! Oh, I'm so happy you and Ms. Akashiya decided to sign up for the Newspaper Club, Mr. Kent!" One Shizuka Nekonome, advisor of the newspaper club cheered with absolute glee. So excited was she, her cat tail popped out and started happily wagging.

"Uh, Ms. Nekonome, your tail..." Moka pointed out, which caused the teacher to stop in place, making her tail stiffen straight.

"I couldn't picture joining any other club Ms. Nekonome," Clark said after a quick chuckle at his teacher's antics.

"We lost almost all of our members last year," Shizuka confessed. "So I was worried about the club not having enough members and having to disband…"

"All of the members of the club were gone?" Clark repeated, quite surprised. "Were they all seniors?"

"Not all of them, the former president was, but they all left halfway in the second semester; and I don't know why…but that's all in the past! What matters now is that there are two fresh new faces that are here to join the club! Welcome aboard!" The teacher was quick to change topics so that the two newest signees wouldn't keep pressing this particular matter.

Both students, noticing their teacher's change in attitude, decided to leave that particular issue alone. "Thanks, what do we do now?" Moka asked switching gears into a new topic.

"We won't have our first meeting until next week, so for now, you two look around the other clubs and see if something else piques your interests? After all, it's not unheard of for students in human high schools to be in more than one club!"

With that, the high school students said their goodbyes to their new club advisor and made their way out of the school where several crowds of students could be seen looking around the various amounts of booths where clubs were doing all they could to promote themselves.

Moka and Clark watched all these festivities in amazement. "I can't believe there are so many clubs here." Clark spoke stunned from how lively this event and the students participating were. It was nowhere near this level back at his own home which, while there was some buzzing for the clubs, because Smallville was a small town, students and parents alike were more focused on the sports, was bigger than the his current school considering Smallville high was in an entire town whereas Yokai Academy was kind of in the middle of nowhere.

Moka looked at the surprised expression at her best friend and smiled at it. She was a little overwhelmed by the large number of clubs but somehow seeing him in the same boat as her did make her a little excited for the day to come. She grabbed the alien by the wrist of his jacket and started pulling away. "Come on Clark, all these clubs have gone out of their way to put this together. So let's visit as many as we can!" She told him.

The chuckling Kryptonian gave in to the vampire's intentions and allowed himself to be pulled by her. He was just as curious to see just what kind of clubs him and his best friend would find.

"Come and take pictures of ghosts with us!"

"Acupuncture Club!"

"Mummy Club!"

"Come make love potions at the Chemistry Club!"

Four clubs, each one just as or more ridiculous as the previous one; and with each club promotion, Moka gave a scream, although that last one she gave at the announcement of the love potions was rather…sensual sounding. But he pulled her away before any of the chemistry club members tried to force her to drink said potions.

The Kryptonian kept looking left and right at all the clubs, which kept getting stranger. 'Are there any normal clubs in the school outside the newspaper club?' his thoughts were answered when he saw a group of male students crowded all together. A minute or two of walking later, Clark and Moka got a look at exactly what was causing such a commotion: A group of young women clad in two piece bikinis.

The president of the club, or at least they were assuming she was since the young lady was standing in the center, was in in her purple bikini top and matching long skirt covering her bottoms and ran her fingers through her turquoise hair and did a rather attractive pose for the male crowd and as smile that stirred them up even further.

"My name is Tamao Ichinose. Come join me and my friends in the swimming club. We don't have any guys here in the club at the moment, so those who join now will receive a lot of personal service from us," she topped off her pitch for the club by blowing a kiss to all the guys, this reaction drew them to the crowd of girls like fire draws a moth.

Clark and Moka however hadn't made a single movement toward the crowd. The alien himself just watched on in disbelief at the behavior of these guys. I mean sure, there was nothing wrong with looking at and talking about pretty girls, and the school had its fair share of very lovely young women, but these guys were acting like lust-filled animals. Surely, they had some form of home training…

"This is…certainly a club," Clark noted. His focus went right to his pink haired friend whose grip on his hand tightened up. "Moka, is something wrong?" He asked her with a raised eyeberow.

The Vampire in question couldn't look at her friend or even the commotion at the swimming club. Her eyes were rather fixated on the ground. "M-Maybe we should look at another club." She stated.

Picking up on how uncomfortable she was, Clark went along with Moka's desires: "Sure thing," The two freshmen turned so their backs were facing the activity going on in front of them and they were about to make their leave. But before they could even make it three steps away from the booth, the Kryptonian heard a very loud 'Excuse me!' most likely directed towards them. The alien and vampire turned in the direction the shout came from and lo and behold, the gorgeous president's green eyes locked on them, or more directly at Clark. She slowly but confidently made her way off the club's stage and towards Clark and Moka, the crowd of boys quickly clearing the way for her. The upperclassman finally stopped when she was a few feet away from her targeted person.

"Can I help you?" He couldn't help but asking.

The young woman responded to the question with a smile as sweet as honey and said: "I'm sorry for yelling, but it was the only way I could grab your attention," she admitted. "You're Clark Kent, correct?"

The Kryptonian in question raised an eyebrow: "Yes. Have we met before?" He asked.

"No, I've heard about you through the grapevine of students," she admitted. "A six foot tall freshman who came here all the way from America to attend our school? You stick out like a sore thumb." Her casual banter with the tall first year stopped when her eyes met Moka. "I'm guessing this would make you Moka Akashiya?"

"Y-Yes..." The pinkette meekly responded. She let out a small breath in an attempt to calm herself.

"I've heard a few things about you as well. Namely the fact that you and Clark are dating?"

"N-No. We're not a couple," The vampire, even in her current timid state, was quick to correct the swim captain.

Tamao in response chuckled at her reaction. "Apologies, I was curious. You two certainly look like one," she teased. "I was curious about those rumors. But that aside, the reason I came all the way here and talked to the both of you was because I couldn't help but notice you two watching our club. I was wondering if you two were interested in joining the swimming club?"

"Thank you for the offer, but we're we'll have to decline you on it…" Clark immediately shut her down.

Tamao had to keep herself from flinching from how quickly Clark rejected her offer. For years it had been easy to convince males to give in to requests, a batting of the eye and a good viewing of the girls were all she needed. But staring at those blue eyes of the freshman in front of her and seeing how absolute the look in them was, stunned her.

But that was when she noticed the look in the eyes of Moka. She noticed the pinkette's hesitance around her from the moment she started walking to them. It seemed that just from making simple eye contact with the pink haired girl was enough to unsettle her; and that mere fact gave a boost in confidence reflected in her smirk. "I can definitely see that she doesn't want to participate." The statement itself made the vampire shrink in intimidation. "But a fit guy like you Clark? You need something that'll put this strong body to good use. If you join, I promise I'll take care of you with very personal, hands on instruction..."

Arguably the biggest rumor surrounding Moka was the fact that she was a vampire. Her reactions to the swim captain and her invitation to join her club were strongly supporting it to be true. It made sense for her not to want to join; and taking how popular she appears to be, especially with the first year boys, of course the one closest to her would want to be wherever she was. But if the swimming club captain were play up her seductiveness, she may be able to snatch her target away from her underclassman.

Clark's eyes narrowed from as he felt Tamao's hand rest on his arm and she gave him this flirty look that was more like that of a predator's. He could see why Moka would be intimidated from the upperclassman, especially from the way he talked down to her in particular. The look, the voice, the touch. It was all setting off sirens in his head. "I'm sorry, Tamao, was it? But I don't think I'll fit in with this club," he once again declined the offer as politely as he could.

He gave Moka's hand a gentle squeeze, as a way to calm her down. "Hope you have a good day. Come on Moka, let's go look at a different club." He said to the vampire, who was more than happy to walk away from this unnerving situation. The Vampire looked over her right shoulder and was quick to see that the blue haired young woman was not at all happy to be rejected. She took her eyes off the captain and back to her front line of view, hoping that this would be the last she would see of the situation.

Flashback End

"For some reason, she was very determined to have me join her club, despite my not having any interest." Clark explained to everyone in the room.

"So, she's some girl who can't take no for an answer," Yukari noted. "I'm not seeing an issue here,"

"If that was just it, I wouldn't bring it up, but there's something Kengo said that I definitely agree with, when she looked at me that day, it was like I was some kind of target."

"There was also something with the way she talked that felt off as well, it was like any bit of kindness in her voice sounded forced." The vampire added to Clark's explanation.

Silence once again filled the clubroom as everyone in it stewed over the new bits of info. The courses of action that could be taken were made very clear at that moment.

"So that puts Tamao Ichinose at the top of our suspects list," Gin noted the obvious, rubbing his chin. "Here's what we'll do guys: Yukari and Moka, you two will check out the game club, ask the members of the club if they've seen anything related to Kazuya. Clark, you'll get permission to head into Kazuya's room, see if there's anything that he might've left that we could use to better help track him down. As for me, I'll head over to the pool and talk to Tamao, any questions?" As soon as the question left his mouth, Yukari's hand shot up in the air.

"Someone please tell me that I'm not the only one who sees the problem with leaving Gin of all people in charge of talking to the captain of the swimming club?"

"Pipe down runt, I've got great journalistic instincts; and despite what you think, I know the others trust me to do this, right guys?" The werewolf looked to the two other members of the club and saw Clark rubbing his neck and Moka was smoothing out her skirt.

The one thing in common? Both were doing their best to avoid making eye contact with their president. Said president's confidence deflated at that non response.

"So what? You want to talk to the swim club?" The club president asked the witch.

"Me? Of course not," She was quick to deny. "I was thinking about you and Clark swapping places, and him talking to Tamao,"

"What?" Gin cried. "Why Clark? I've got much more experience with this stuff than he does!"

"Think for a second here," The witch started. "From his and Moka's story, we can gather that the swimming club captain has some kind of interest in Clark. Why don't we use that to our advantage? I mean, she's bound to be more lax and open to questions with someone like that then the known president of the newspaper club swinging by."

"Or because dozens of dudes are around the swimming club at that time of the year, she might not even remember who Clark even was!" Countered Gin.

Yukari blinked as a response to Gin's counterargument, not in a confused manner, but more as her understanding what he said. He raised something of a fair point in that the blue eyed young man could've been a dime a dozen in the number of males that were looking at the swim club during the day of club recruitment. She could've made a simple counter that Clark's physical appearance more than made him stand out among the male students in Yokai, but instead she decided to be petty and get him back for the comment about her body.

After a brief moment of silence from the witch, she casually said: "I have more faith in Clark handling Ichinose and not think with his other head than I do you..."

The group reaction to the statement told a better story than she ever could.

Gin's right eye twitched, his hands started to shake and his face scrunched up. The pot shot at him was not apprecihatated, and he had even more reason to hate Yukari.

Moka's cheeks turned as pink as her hair at the use of such a crude expression.

Clark just stared blankly at the witch. Much like the vampire, the young girl's...euphemism surprised him to say the least, and it left him wondering just WHERE she picked that expression up from.

All the while Kengo looked at the group and for the first time wondered if he made the right choice in asking these guys for help...

Chapter End!

As I said right at the top, I'm not dead folks. Reason I updated K+V besides the fact that it really need one was to ensure you all of that, which is why this chapter will be split into 2 parts. The last several months, needless to say, were a bit of a roller coaster for me. There were some big changes in my personal life that took place I'm sure you all would rather not get bogged down with. So I'll just give you all really great news: I have a new working laptop (By new I mean I just got a new hard drive put into a relative's old beat up laptop). Which should hypothetically make updates come quicker. Reason I say hypothetically is cause life's crazy yo and cause...I'm a lazy fuuuuuck.

Until next time guys, I'll see you for more Kryptonian+Vampire!

Reviews Response

Guest: Nah. If I do Bizzaro in this story, you'll know. You'll know.

The Storm Master 567: I do have some ideas for the girls heading down to Smallville. But those are for further down the line.

Pyromania101: To me, Cavill could've been a great Superman (I mean, the guy's got a PERFECT look for it). He just has terrible material to work with. Maybe I could do something to help him reach that potential.

MayanPanther: Patience MayanPanther. You may get what you desire soon enough...

Blake2020: Thank you for all the reviews!
