Caroline

"Do you want me to?" Did I? I swallowed hard, I did want him to kiss me but...

"And what about your blonde?"

"We aren't in a relationship".

"But you slept with her last night".

"Because you didn't want me. She didn't mean anything Caroline, she was blonde, she had blue eyes and I couldn't help but compare the similarities. But she wasn't like you at all. You, Caroline are optimistic, kind, caring, loving and the most bubbly and cheerful person I've met. You set aside your problems to be happy for the people you care about. You are also stubborn and have this horrible habit of underestimating yourself. Your full of light Caroline, I enjoy you and I fancy you".

"Yes".

"What?"

"Yes, you can kiss me". At first he just looked at me disbelievingly, then his expression turned to one of shock and then his lips were on mine, my hands went around his neck and his came around my waist. I smiled into the kiss and pulled him to me, his lips were urgent against mine, passionate and yet so tender and soft. He was holding me tight enough that he could support me but lose enough that I could break away if I wanted. We broke apart after a while and Klaus placed his forehead on mine.

"Well, that was..."

"Amazing", I said.

"I was going to say breathtaking but that works just fine".

"I know, I...Klaus did you mean any of that?"

"I meant every word love". I nodded and looked down.

"So, we should probably get back to packing all of this up".

"Perhaps, or we could do more of this", he said before leaning down and kissing me again. I kissed him back with equal fervor, it wasn't that I loved him, it was too soon for that but I liked him or in his words, fancied him. We pulled apart when I heard my phone ring.

"Hey Elena", I spoke into the phone.

"Hey Care, I'm running late in the storage unit, so can you please load everything in the moving truck? I've packed up the everything in the kitchen and bathroom, the only things left are some books and clothes". I saw Klaus staring at me intently, almost adoringly and couldn't help the blush spreading on my face, my neck, everywhere.

"Yeah, sure".

"Great, I'll see you later at Kol's apartment".

"Oh, okay". I heard the line disconnect and took a moment before looking at Klaus. "Elena's running late so we're supposed to meet her at Kol's apartment with all of this stuff".

"Of course. And till then", he leaned down to try and kiss me again but I stepped back.

"I would love to Klaus, I don't think we should continue this".

"Why ever not, love?"

"It's jyst that we're not compatible, I mean..." I left the sentence hanging and Klaus looked at mr in confusion.

"What do you mean 'not compatible'?" He said raising his voice towards the end.

"The only thing I mean is that we don't know anything about each other and-"

"Then get to know me Caroline, and let me get to know you too".

"But what if we do get to know each other and find we don't like the people we are. What if I think that your just arrogant and spoilt? What if you think I'm shallow and envious?"

"Then like every toxic relationship, we'll break up".

"But don't you understand-"

"No, Caroline, I think it's you who doesn't understand. I want us to be together, do you? Because if you do, then nothing else matters."

"But Klaus-"

"Caroline Forbes, will you please be my girlfriend?"

Elena

"So, they were making out?" Kol asked as we stood outside his apartment.

"Yeah, I told you, the only thing they needed was a push in the right direction." I said as he opened the door and we stepped inside. I was instantly at awe at the apartment. It was a penthouse in the heart of the city. We entered the apartment through a passage that was covered with a plush white carpet, it led to the living room that was decorated with a blue white complementary colour scheme. There was a big L-shaped white leather couch, a wooden coffee table and what had to be a Persian rug. The walls were painted blue and the side facing the couch had wide floor to ceiling windows which showcased the city's skyline. "Kol, this place is beautiful". I said in awe.

"Well you don't have to sound so surprised darling".

"No, it's just that I was expecting it to be messier".

"Ah, I haven't stayed here in a week and the housekeeper did come by, so that is probably the reason it isn't messy".

"So, if it wasn't for your housekeeper, it wouldn't be clean?"

"Probably not. Ah, anyway, do you want to eat that pizza?"

"Right now? Let's wait for Care and Klaus, I'm the one who gave them all that work to do on their own and now we're just gonna sit here and have pizza? No".

"Oh alright, but you only gave them that work so that they could spend time with each other. Well till then, how about I show you around?"

"Sure". Kol showed me the kitchen which had an island and a breakfast bar and all the latest appliances, the dining room which had a mahogany dining table that could seat eight people. We then saw Kol's study and he pulled me inside.

"Okay, Elena, now I want you to look at the ceiling".

"The ceiling?" I asked confused.

"Yes", I looked up and gasped. There was a circular space in the ceiling that was divided in steps and was almost empty save a few books scattered around. "That's where I keep the books and we'll keep yours too, if you want. Elena?"

I hadn't said anything because I was in awe. "You have a library in your ceiling?"

"Yep, cool right?"

"Oh my god, I've never seen anything like this. This is great. But how will I reach up?"

"The ladder". He answered in a tone that implied that it was obvious.

"I've never seen anything like this. Where did you get the idea?"

"I didn't, my interior decorater did." I was about to reply when the doorbell rang. We went back to open the door and saw that Klaus and Caroline were there.

"We got all your stuff", Caroline said as she walked in, kept down a box and collapsed on the couch.

"You okay Care?"

"No, 'Lena, can I get that pizza and maybe some water?"

"Yeah, I'll get it."

"We'll get the rest of your stuff". Kol said and they both headed towards the elevator. I went and got two pizzas and waters.

"Here", I said as I sat next to Caroline.

"Thanks. This apartments got a great view man".

"Yeah I know. So what's going on between you and Klaus?" Caroline turned to me in surprise but otherwise her expression was unreadable.

"Well, we sort of made out".

"How was it?"

"It doesn't matter", she replied with a blush covering her cheeks.

"That means it was good".

"No it wasn't good".

"What?"

"It was like, ugh, it was great. I wanted to keep kissing him".

"Wow, it must been really good if you're blushing like a schoolgirl".

"And then he asked me to be his girlfriend".

"Did you agree?"

"Sort of".

"What do you mean 'sort of', either you did or you didn't".

A/N - So, what do you guys think she meant by 'sort of?' Oh, and just for fun, which house on TVD do you prefer, the Salvatore boarding house, the how where Mikealson's live or the Lockwood Mansion?
