James fell in love with a girl with red hair.

Hi mum and dad,

It's me (James) and don't worry, this isn't to tell you that I'm being expelled (yet, but I have 7 more years of school so plenty of time!). Hogwarts is brilliant – Teddy says hi. I'm sitting with him right now in the Gryffindor common room.

Oh and I have decided who my new favourite professor is – it is Minnie McGonagall. Did you know she can turn into a cat?! That's cool. Maybe if I ask politely and stop annoying her she'll teach me how to be an Animagus too huh?

Oh and finally, I think I have fallen in love. Her name is Madison and she is beautiful. She is a Gryffindor too, in 1st year like me! Only we've not started off on very good terms – but like I said, still got 7 years to fix that! I tried to take a picture of me and her the other day but she punched me on the arm and I lost my balance. I've included it anyway because it's a funny picture.

Harry held up a small picture to show Ginny. It showed James' grinning face turning into shock as the punch landed on his left arm and a girl with flowing red hair turning away in anger. Harry grinned at his wife and Ginny slyly wiped a tear from her face. The picture was placed firmly on the fridge.
