'Back on Lian Yu I promised Robert Queen I would fix his wrongs. That I would take something on that wasn't mine to take. At the time I didn't know where to begin. How I would start. The longer I stayed on the island, the clearer it became. I could no longer be the girl I used to be. No longer living life for what I wanted. Now I had the future of Starling City in my hands. Adam Hunt was just the beginning. There are many more names on the list. Many more people that rule my city through fear, and greed. It needs to stop.'

The docks were quiet at this time of night. The usual business of people working was silent; down to only a few security guards and the couple of crane operators unloading the night time deliveries from the incoming ships. Felicity watched as a black Escalade wound its way through the narrow streets created by the cargo containers until it arrived at a warehouse entrance at the edge of the water. Four men exited. The car doors slammed shut as they moved towards the building. Even at this distance Felicity could tell that they were armed. The bulge across their suit jackets proved it.

Keeping in a low crouch, she began to run along the metal of the container she was perched atop. It got her close, and without stopping reached to the arrows at her back and fired at a point in the stack towering above, stopping very briefly to steady her aim. The arrow flew and embedded itself into the metal, and Felicity slid down using the bow as a makeshift flying fox. The path of her slide took her straight towards the man who had been left outside. The man turned around just in time to see the heal of Felicity's boot strike him in the face, spinning him to the ground as she pulled away from the line and flipped onto the ground.

Felicity entered the building, carefully slipping along the walls and keeping watch as she went. Voices nearby forced her to pause. Glancing around she saw noticed the shelf style and began to scale. At the top Felicity skimmed across the and crouched down once nearing the voices. She saw two more bodyguards, standing by another man who sat behind a desk; Martin Somers. The next person on her list. Wanted for the murder of Victor Nocenti. But Felicity knew his crimes go far beyond that. She pulled two arrows from her quiver and fired in quick succession. Both struck the two guards in the chest, and they went down. Felicity jumped down before Somers could move. Drawing another arrow she fired it across his shoulder, skimming the nerves and making him cry out in pain.

"Martin Somers!" She cried out pulling another arrow into her bow, "You have failed this city!"

"Then kill me,"

"It's not that easy. You will testify to the murder of Victor Nocenti. You will give that family peace,"

Martin opened his mouth to speak but a knife flung from the shadow behind Felicity and slid into the back of her shoulder blade. It made her drop her shoulders and the bow fell forward taking the target off Martin Somers. The security guards remaining next to Martin wasted no time in taking him by the arm and moving him to the back door as a black dressed figure approached behind Felicity. Ignoring the pain in her shoulder, she swung out her bow and caught the feet of her attacker. Her assailant jumped and Felicity's bow only caught the very tip of one foot—not enough to make her fall. But the movement was enough to get her back to her feet. She swung back around and stood at fighting stance, ready for the next round—stopping only to pull the dagger from her shoulder. Luckily for her the blade wasn't all the way in. Her attacker lunged, and Felicity deflected each blow of her hands with her own forearms. She ducked as an arm swung up around her head, and pivoted around to strike the unknown figure in the stomach.

Felicity felt her foe get winded but as she fell back by a step she brought her leg up which connected with Felicity's chin. The blow kicked her head up and knocked her back as well. When she steadied herself, her attacker had disappeared. A glance up to the railings above saw her catch the the last of her disappear into the skylight. Felicity heard a car outside. She knew Martin Somers was gone. Her ears perked up at the sound of police sirens blazing in the distance, and getting closer. She ran to the left and disappeared behind a stack of cargo crates as the first patrol car drove through the main gates.

The courtroom was unusual busy as Laurel Lance walked in through the main door. She realised it wasn't unusual. A high priority case such as this always attracted a decent amount of media attention. Her client stood at the doors to the courtroom with a coworker of hers. The small blond woman looked nervous as Laurel approached and the three of them entered the busy court. All eyes turned to them as they made their way to the front. Pushing open the small wooden gate separating the lawyers from the audience. They took their seats. Beside them sat Martin Somers and his high priced lawyer. Laurel knew his firm. She had even once been offered a position there, but turned it down for where she was.

"How much is a life worth?" Laurel began as she walked around the front of the court addressing the jury. She walked around A frame picture of Victor Nocenti standing beside her as she neared the defenses table, "The prosecution will prove, that this man, Martin Somers, took bribes from the Chinese triad to smuggle drugs through the port of our city," Laurel threw out her arm and pointed at the defense client sitting behind the table. Martin Somers held his hands in his lap in a smugly confident posture as Laurel continued.

"Martin Somers is a well known business man, and has friends in the D.A. For that reason, if Emily Nocenti is to get justice for her fathers death. If Martin Somers is going to get justice for his crimes, then someone is going to have to get it for them,"

Martin Somers sat smugly behind the defendants table as all eyes in the courtroom looked over at him, and the two high priced lawyers that sat beside him. He knew he had nothing to worry about. Not from someone like Laurel Lance. She wouldn't be a problem, that much he knew. The hood guy from last night though, that could be more challenging. Even the assassin supplied to him had failed to stop the man. He must find out who this masked man is, what he really wants. Martin Somers knew how to deal with him. The same way he dealt with all his problems, either death or money. He had learned long ago that everyone has their price. When he finds out who this masked man was, then he would find his.

But right now, the more pressing issue was this trial.

Her mother stood in the kitchen of her house with Oliver Queen as she recognised Oliver's bodyguard, Mr Diggle standing beside the doorway, but ignored him. They stopped talking, and Mr Queen turned to face her. She wondered why he was here after she had told him that they didn't need anything. What does he want? She wondered. Felicity still hadn't decided whether she could trust Oliver with his fathers secret. How far was he in? She wondered.

"Miss Smoak," He began, straightening his suit jacket, "I thought you might like to know I've arranged a court time for you, for tomorrow,"

"For what?" She said jumping into the middle of his sentence. Oliver paused for a second, but ignored the interruption.

"To rescind your death, legally speaking,"

"Fine. Thanks," She said abruptly and moved towards her room.

"Your mother says you've been going out a lot since you've been back. Do you think that's wise? It's not very safe out there at the moment,"

"I'm fine," She told him, but directed her attention more at her mother than him.

Oliver gestured towards the door where Mr Diggle stood, "If you wish, I can leave Dig here with you. He's extremely good at what he does,"

"I said, we're fine," Felicity shot back, "We don't need your help,"

"Very well, "Oliver replied heading to the door, "It's your choice. We'll see you at the courthouse tomorrow,"

The two men left the house. No sooner had the door shut, Felicity turned to her mother, "I told you, we don't need anything from the Queen family,"

"Honey, He just came by to tell us about the court date. That's all," Donna Smoak embraced her child, and Felicity placed her hands against her mothers back, with resistance as if she didn't want it. Her mother released her.

"You have to talk about what happened to you, if not with me. Then someone,"

Outside, Oliver Queen and John Diggle walked to the car that had pulled up in front. Oliver turned to his bodyguard, and friend.

"I want you to stay and watch. Make sure they're ok,"

"She said she didn't want help, Oliver," Diggle replied, "I remember you were pretty insistent about that when your mother first hired me,"

"I changed my mind. So will she," He said, "Just watch them,"

Diggle nodded and opened the door of the town car, "You know, you're not as bad as the papers make out Mr Queen," he smirked.

Oliver shook his head, amused, as John shut the door. John pulled out his cellphone, and rang for a car to his location as his boss was chauffeured away.

It was late evening as Felicity knocked on Laurel's door. She pulled the door open, and was somewhat surprised to see Felicity standing there. She gestured for her to come in, and was about to pull the door closed when Billy ran up the hallway.

"You didn't think she drove here alone, did you?" Billy said with a smile as he slipped through the gap in the door. Laurel pushed it and it clicked shut.

"I thought we should have a night in, like we used to," Felicity said as Laurel moved over to the couch. Billy had already taken up residence in the single seater chair on the other side of the room, with his legs strung over on arm.

"While I was on the island, there was one thing I though about everyday. I told myself that if I ever got off I would do with both of you," She pulled a container from the paper bag she was holding, "Eat icecream," she said with a grin.

Felicity pulled a spoonful out of the tub as the others ate from the two bowls that Laurel had fished from the kitchen. She savored the taste as she pulled the spoon from her mouth. It was like she hadn't been gone. It felt like old times. Except it wasn't, and she knew that. She put the tub down on the table.

"My mother pointed out to me that I've been distant since I've been back," She began, "Everyone seems to expect me to be the person I was before. They want me to be someone I'm not,"

"Just be who you are, Smoaky," Billy told her, "We love you for that,"

"I'm not sure that my mother will like that. I've already told her that I can't be what she wants,"

"Well, then don't tell her. Show her," Laurel replied.

A creak outside made Felicity turn her head, "Did you hear that?"

The others turned.

"What?" Laurel asked. She turned and Felicity put a knife from the table into her hand as she stood up, "There's someone on the fire escape,"

The sound of breaking glass came from the rear of the apartment as Felicity grabbed Laurel's arm, and pushed Billy away from the chair as he stood up, "The front door, Go," She called out. As they moved towards it the door splintered as a second assailant broke through into the apartment. Felicity put her arms up to shield Laurel and Billy, guiding them to a wall they could put their backs against. They ran back through the apartment into a bedroom, where another assailant burst through from outside causing the three to turn around. As they entered the main room the path was blocked by a female with striking white hair holding a small blade.

To the side of them another assailant brought his gun up. As he did so bullets pierced into him from behind and he fell to the ground. Mr Diggle ran into the room, he fired at a second man behind the three and began to grapple with the white haired woman. Felicity pushed Laurel and Billy away from the fighting as she watched John Diggle block each of the womans attacks, while trying to throw his own. She managed to pull him to the ground, and catch him in a headlock position from behind. Felicity threw the knife that she'd been holding, and it struck the womans hand causing her to drop her own blade and taking her by surprise which gave Diggle the chance to get back to his feet. The woman knocked him back, and ran out through the door.

"Are you ok, Ms Smoak?" Diggle cried out pausing in his tracks, "Are you ok?"

Felicity nodded.

"This is why it's a good idea to have a bodyguard," Diggle stated and ran out after the woman.

The commotion, and nerves, had settle by the time the police had arrived. Laurel's father, Detective Lance entered the apartment and embraced his daughter as Mr Diggle returned empty handed from his chase.

"Thank you, Mr Diggle,"

"I was just doing my job," He said as he holstered his pistol.

"No, I assume your job was here," He told him while he kept his arms around Laurel, "But thank you for saving my daughter,"

Diggle nodded.

"How did you know?" Felicity asked, wondering how long he had been following her.

"There was a cop car outside. I went to talk to them, and found them dead," Diggle told her before turning to the Detective, "Sorry for your men, Detective"

Lance nodded grimly appreciating the gesture. He let go of Laurel.

"Now see what I mean?"

"I'm not going to let go of this case just because someone wants to strong arm me into it,"

"They tried to kill you, Laurel,"

"But they didn't, and Emily Nocenti deserves justice,"

"Damn it, Laurel," Her father exclaimed and left the room following two uniformed officers.
